Nan: I can't remember what I had. I do remember they had crummy music. Well, it was Christmas after all. Oh yeah, I recall now, I had a plate of fried rice. That's it. Apparently nothing memorable. Which is a good thing, really, because if it was really bad I'd remember. But I would not drive all the way up to Weiser just to eat here. Nic: You can say that again, about the music. The whole Mormon Tabernacle choir was having a go at it in my ear! I had a combo meal: one of those house salads (iceberg with salad dressing), rice and probably some chicken thing. Like Nan said, nothing memorable. I can't even remember what we had to be in Weiser for, but it wasn't for the Chinese food. All in all, not bad, but nothing special. Plus I automatically cringe when I see handmade signs on the wall advertising foods, pies and puppies. Well, maybe not puppies. But you get the drift.

I was very surprised at how good the food was. We had the stir fried vegetables and chicken and broccoli. Both were cooked to perfection. We got our food to go because we were watching the parade around the corner. They lady who took my order was very nice and our food was made quickly.

Just had pot stickers and tea, because they didn't serve beer!! Big time FAIL on my part. Pot stickers were mediocre. Next time in Weiser I will seek out a place that serves beer.

What a disappointment. My gallbladder thought so too. And not even close to being authentic. And in addition, it was dirty and old looking. When I sat down in the booth, I fell into a hole. Very uncomfortable and grim environment and very greasy slop to say the least.

It's hard to describe in words how mouth watering the mandarin chicken is, or how savory the fried rice is. It's almost impossible to put words to the satisfaction the ginger beef brings so, because of this I wont try and explain You'll just have to experience it for yourself! I have been all over the West Coast and nothing compares to the customer service, food quality and experience like The Golden Horse.
