Best ice cream in Northern Idaho! We are visiting from Portland and this places rivals Salt & Straw in its unique and creamy homemade flavors! Love it's large trendy ampersand in the window and the owners of this place are incredible!

Great place! Excellent local flavors. Wonderfully crafted. Free samples to find the perfect flavor. Recommend the orange with chocolate or the salted Caramel & brown butter cookie. Also wild flower honey/lavender and peppermint fudge are winners. Can't wait to try the s'mores flavor.

Panhandle Cone & Coffee was another fantastic discovery in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho. My boyfriend challenged me to take him somewhere he has never been, and I sneakily found out that PC&C opened within the last year and he had not visited yet. The kid working was extremely patient, and let us sample a bunch of different flavors before we finally decided. Trust me, it is a tough call when you have that many options! Every flavor we tried and the ones we ultimately selected were outstanding. Panhandle Cone & Coffee crushes the artisan ice cream, and freshly made waffle cones to boot.

We tried to come here today but it was "maintenance day" so they were sadly closed. As we were peering inside at the cool decor, the owner saw us and came smiling to the door. He invited us inside for an exclusive tasting. The ice cream was unbelievable. Being from the bay area where there are tons of exclusive boutique ice cream shops, this ice cream topped them all. And the best part was that the owner was so friendly and nice that he was willing to go out of his way to make sure we had a good experience. We left as very happy customers and cannot wait to get back to Sandpoint to taste some more!

Delicious homemade ice cream and friendly employees. The only small bummer was eating with the wooden spoon was hard to scoop up the ice cream especially for a toddler. Overall excellent experience!

There was a heat advisory warning the weekend I was visiting Sandpoint so it was blazing hot. What do you want when its 40+ degrees out?? Yeah exactly, you want to jump into the water in your birthday suit - what else do you want?? Cold cold ice cream. Panhandle Cone & Coffee is located in the heart of downtown Sandpoint and its super easy to find. There is a lot of street parking. My gf and I were walking the streets of Sand Point when we saw a few ice cream places. Panhandle caught my eye because their ice cream is handcrafted...and there was a sign that said "FREE SAMPLES". We entered this cute little joint and were greeted by the guys at the front, there was a little line up but the wait wasn't long. There is a sign of all the ice cream flavors & pricing and they all looked great. Huckleberry, Peppermint fudge, Sweet Cream, Salted Caramel & Brown Butter, Orange Dark Chocolate, Coffee, Strawberry, S'more, Sweet Basil & Pine Nut Praline, & Wild Flower Honey and Lavender were the flavors listed. On my first visit, I went with one scoop with two flavors - sweet cream and huckleberry in a cup. Alyssa went with huckleberry in a sugar cone. We were both super excited to try the huckleberry as it is the state fruit of Idaho and we saw it everywhere around Sandpoint and it was DELICIOUS!!!! There were pieces of huckleberry within the buttercream mix and it was so good. Huckleberries are similar to blueberries but to me, the huckleberry ice cream tasted like a mix of blueberries and grapy flavor, just amazing!! We both REALLY enjoyed it so we made sure we were to visit once again before we left. The sweet cream was good too but the huckleberry reigned supreme! On my second visit - I saw one of the guys making the waffle cone so I decided to go with a homemade waffle cone and a scoop of huckleberry! Again, amazingly delicious and it's the perfect treat for an extremely hot day. Panhandle Cone & Coffee offer handcrafted ice creams, as well as espressos and baked goods! There are a few seats outside if you wanted to enjoy the sun but its nice and cool inside! The scoopers are super friendly!! When I visit again, this will be one of my first stops!!! :) HUCKLEBERRY FTW!

Had the pleasure of visiting this place on my last visit to Sandpoint. I did not try the coffee but I definitely tried the cone! They had a whole wall of handmade artisan ice cream creations. From the very decant chocolate varieties to the more eclectic wild honey and lavender, these ice cream concoctions are a true treat. My husband tired the chocolate orange, which he said was fantastic (personally, to me, the combination of chocolate and orange is quite possibly the nastiest thing on the planet, but that's just me). I really enjoyed the wild honey and lavender, which was sweet and creamy with just a slight hint of lavender so it wasn't too floral. The prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly and let you try as many of the varieties as you would like. It appears that they also make pastries too but we went there in the evening and all the backed goods were long gone. I would definitely stop in next time I am passing through the area!

Everything is house made, all natural, and served up with a small town smile. The flavor selections are super creative and quite delicious. Do not miss the fresh, homemade waffle cones! Eclectic decor looks great.

Modish new coffee shop & homemade ice cream spot, without the hipster pretense. Perky scoopers & barristas with small-town friendliness make the place extra cheerful. All the ice cream is made in house. I had the Almond Joy: coconut & roasted almonds in a rich, dark chocolate base. To die for. Hubby had the Chocolate Chip Cookie: house-baked chocochip cookies in a creamy vanilla base. Also incredible. The shot-in the-dark was also great, although hard to screw up; I'm always looking to support the local community coffee spots over Starbucks. I am psyched these guys are in town. Stop by.

Homemade ice cream and homemade waffle cones made this place our favorite after dinner spot. It stayed open later than everything else, and we were thankful for that. The couple helping us was kind and very sweet in engaging us in conversation.

First time in Sandpoint. Our friends took us for ice cream in this neat little shop. All the kids there were so cute and sweet and blonde. I had a couple samples but the lavender and honey really won me over. Keep up the good work!
