On a Sunday in mid August, 2015, we made a reservation for 5 pm which seemed to be a good decision as the establishment filled up quickly within the hour. It was our first visit to Dish and we are happy to have chanced upon it. Our party of four each selected something different from the varied menu and we all shared two appetizers (empanadas and calamari). None of us were disappointed in any way with the food presentation or flavour. Service was pleasant, efficient and accommodating. We ate out on the patio and were able to enjoy the river view and calls of the osprey nesting nearby. For casual, comfortable dining, Dish is a great choice. We'll be back!

Can't really give a review of the food since this is the second time we've come out on a beautiful sunny day for lunch and they weren't open! Waterfront, people out by the pool, boaters, kayakers and the restaurant isn't open! This just trains people to not come to this restaurant when they are open. Enjoyed tasty Mahi Mahi tacos and avocado fries at "The Dish Restaurant" at Dover Bay, Idaho near Standpoint. The fries portion could have been larger. My husband has the Buffalo meat loaf, huge portion and he took some back to our Lakeview bungalow at Dover Bay Resort. View of Lake Pend Oreille very nice while I drank a Corona beer. I recommend this eatery for lunch or dinner.

This will definitely be one of my new date night spots with the hubby! Amazing food and scenery/location on the water. The crab wontons are amazing - crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with that super yummy sweet chili sauce. I had the halibut dinner which was to die for! I literally ate every morsel on my plate. I tried my moms flat iron steak which was extremely tender and perfectly prepared. My parents come here often and have never had a bad meal. I expect the same experience from here on out! Can't wait to return again and again!

I have eaten at Dish twice this 2015 summer and both times have been outstanding. No issues with servers as I read elsewhere. We were greeted and seated immediately. The food, which is not high priced, is excellent. I had the ahi salad twice, my husband had a tempura ahi special one night and the fish and chips the other. I like that there are many options for people who don't eat mammals or birds. The wine list is outstanding.

Six of us ate here today - it was about as good as it gets for dining! It was a perfect day, we ate on the patio and drank in the scenery. The service was wonderful (thanks for digging in and helping us figure out which 3 cheeses were in the 3 cheese tzitziki!) the food was divine. I had: Sourdough French toast with strawberries, granola and a yogurt sauce. It was wonderful: a blend of sour, tart/ tangy, creamy, and sweet that balanced deliciously. Around our table there was a BLT, a turkey avocado sandwich with mild jalapeño aioli that was perfection, bagels and lox, and 2 versions of lamb burgers. There wasn't a crumb left on a single plate and even though we were all full, we couldn't resist the summer berry lemon cake ... And I am so glad we didn't! As one taster put it: this is the best thing I have ever had in my mouth. That pretty much sums it up!

The food is incredible! I've had several of the salads, which are large, tasty, and very satisfying as a meal, but what I tend to lean towards is their seafood entrees. I've had their Mahi Mahi tacos on more than one occasion because they are SO GOOD. The cilantro lime sour cream makes those tacos. I can't get enough! Last week, I tried the Sweet Chili Grilled pawns - 6 HUGE prawns with sweet chili sauce and a wasabi creme fraiche that, although spicy, was more than thoroughly enjoyable. Let's just say my plate was clean. My daughter likes their veggie root burger, which I stole a bite of- delicious! The service here is always with a smile, and even some laughter. Everyone there wants you to enjoy the food and the view, which is easy to do....the lake is right outside the door! Beautiful...you can't go wrong.

Let me start by saying that the setting for this place is five star and the food was excellent as well. So why the two star rating? The service was atrocious! So bad that we decided it did not warrant a tip. For her closing act, our server chased us down the dock, as we were pulling away, demanding to know what was wrong. Unbelievable!

I almost cried when Dish closed, I kid you not. When my husband said they had reopened at Dover Bay, I was elated. Gary is the manager and wine buyer there and knows his stuff (and really, I'll admit it, I have a very unsophisticated wine pallet). The New Age white wine is the perfect summer wine. Gary suggested it with ice and lime and I've been drinking it that way ever since. As if that wasn't enough, I have never had a single bad thing there. The ribs were fall of the bone tender. The JFK salad is my favorite salad anywhere. There really is so much to love. The patio is beautiful. A magical summer hangout. I hope they do Shepards pie as the weather cools off. They are great about keeping things local and seasonal. Really, just a lot to love about this little gem of a place.

Went here for an office lunch recently. Mid-week. The servers changed shift mid-meal, and no real complaints. The apps (calamari, edamame, prawns) were OK. Calamari was over-salted, but, the texture was good. Want to go again to be able to write a more thorough review, but based on first experience it was about a C/C+

Definitely a must! The vegetarian burger is delish so as everything we have eaten there so far....the seating outside is a plus, the view is just beautiful....always looking forward to our return....easy access by boat or car.....

We love this place...of course they have Eddie Sneva as Chef and it is hard to top that. Wherever he is, seems to be the best food in town. The owners are very nice and always make you feel welcome. Great view. Not far from town. Try it...you will love it. Had rib-eye last visit and it was soooooooo good. The Ahi is great too. It is as good as it gets in Sandpoint!
