Funny, because there's another Richard F. reviewing this place. We go here quite often, and really like the fried chicken better than KFC. The catfish is good and the same with the shrimp. The big problem here is that the whole menu isn't on display, I saw a group order Po Boy sandwiches and they got them....nowhere on the menu. On their website they show more sides than are available here, or again aren't shown on the menu. Also, the tables aren't cleaned very often, a majority of the time we have to clean them off before eating. The food is good, just a strange operation. Customer service is good with certain employees, but not so much with others.

Although I love fried chicken, I love this location even more. Last week when I went through the drive-thru my order was not correct but when I called to let Popeye's know it was quickly resolved and the manager, Craig was very helpful and apologetic when presented with the situation. Craig said to come back anytime to reorder and it would be on the house. Last night when I went in to get my order the employee was happy and friendly and again apologized for the inconvenience. My order was correct, delicious and timely. I will continue to go to this location based off of customer relations and how tasty the food is.

Let me preface this review by telling you that I lived in the south for 13 years. When I first discovered a Popeyes on Fairview a couple months ago I was as jumpy as a kid who just drank a gallon of sweet tea. But when I visited the Boise location that sweet glee turned sour when I bought a salty two-piece with an even saltier biscuit and a bland side of Cajun (dirty) rice. Fast forward to 12/2. The bad taste that the Boise location left in my mouth was still there, and I wanted redemption. The Nampa location was packed to the gills since their Grand Opening was the day before. I ordered a two-piece (which comes with a side, a drink from their giant, thousand-flavor Coke machine and a biscuit). My partner in crime ordered the catfish and we shared a side of cole slaw and a side of dirty rice. Service was friendly but I can't vouch for how fast it was because it took us 20 minutes to get our food on an insanely busy, unusual night. I can tell you that the chicken and the biscuits are better than the Fairview location. The spicy chicken is much spicier than other local "spicy" chicken and the mild was just right, if a little salty. The biscuits are still a bit on the salty side but much better than Boise's. The catfish was okay - not sure we would order it again, but fine if you need a catfish fix. The sides were what I remember from Atlanta - especially the red beans and rice. Perhaps it's because I've assimilated back into the Northwest granola lifestyle (kale intake is way up, haven't had a soda for who knows how long - with the exception of my cheat day at Popeyes. Note to self: never, ever drink soda ever again, even if the nostalgia of calling all soda "Coke" strikes - ever!) but literally everything tastes salty. This is the Popeyes way. My suggestions: wait for the grand opening hype to die down, order the red beans and rice, and be prepared to drink a lot of water and do a lot cardio to make up for it.

My first visit to the Nampa Popeyes was great. I ordered a five piece chicken strip meal with red beans and rice and a side order of mashed potato's and Cajun gravy. The chicken strips were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside still juicy on the inside. The blackened ranch dipping sauce only made them better. There biscuits are awesome. I had to order extra to take home, they were that good. I'm sure there not healthy but dang there tasty. I was surprised how good the red beans and rice are. It was my first time trying them and I would definitely order them again. I look forward to trying more of there menu items and many more visits.

It's 2 pm and wife was out shopping so I decided to try Popeyes Nampa. I ordered a 'three piece all dark and mild' with just cole slaw. I was charged $8.47 for this and a small drink. I was then told that it would be 20 mins, because they ran out and would need to start some more. Then she if I didn't want their 'spicy cause we still have that.' I would avoid this place because they simply don't seem to know how to run the business.

Really bad! The cashier charged us for platters (2 sides) instead of the normal combo. Surprise it's $2 more. It's not the money but the principal of not telling anyone. We know the food isn't gourmet but it was extremely bad tonight.

Never ate at Popeyes before so I stopped in with my wife. Food was mediocre, service was a complete failure. Tok over 45 minutes to get the food at a fast food resturant. I decided that it was an off night.. I went through thendrive in just a few minutes ago, ordered the blackened five tender meal, I asked for a large drink upgrade, the price came to 11.48. I questioned how did we get to 11.48 from 8.99 for the meal. I was told that that is the charge for a large drink upgrade. I said, why am I not getting credit for the small drink that I am not getting. The gal looked at me with a blank stare. I asked for a manager, the manager came over & told me that she would give me 50 cents off.. I said, the difference between a small drink and a large drink is .20, why am I being charged for so much more, her response, "that is the way it is, if you don't like it you can complain to coperate, I will take the large drink off if you would like." Me, no give me my card back, cancel my order! Her, OK, have a good day! Me, went to Chick-Filet, awesome food even better cheerful service & it was hot & ready by the time I got to the window!! I will never darken the property of Popeyes again!!!

The menu is very vague and the staff doesn't really know it! I had the fish and shrimp combo And I asked what the fish was and what the portion size was and the counter person was wrong when my order came up. Also the don't tell you, that you have to pay for fries unlike SKIPPERS. Also the menu said popcorn shrimp and all I got was shrimp pieces I can only say were very bad. Included in this was deep fried shrimp tails so I guess popcorn shrimp stands for what ever is left serve it to the public! I have eaten at a lot of Popeyes mostly in the south and I have to say this place was terrible!!!!!!

This was my first visit to Popeye's. I had the Po Boy Sandwich and it wasn't bad. I didn't care for the green beans. My son had the catfish and it was definitely not fresh. They also need two coke machines. Staff is really friendly, though.
