I have eaten at this restaurant twice. Had the chicken and dumplings which were awful. Dumplings were like glue. Husband had meat loaf which was ok. Service in restaurant was good even though busy. Loved the pinto beans and ham. Having trouble between a 1 or 2 stars due to the worst takeout service ever and mostly less than mediocre food. 3 out of 3 times takeout was wrong. Not just a little but almost everything. Cashier's were nice but inexperienced and untrained and pretty much left on their own. Let it go first couple of times since the place just opened. Today was the last time at this place for me. After being on hold for a ridiculous amount of time I placed an order with a nice but absolutely clueless employee. I was concerned about another meal gone bad and rightfully so. To much to even go into. The basics like butter and silverware were non-existent. This place suffers from a serious lack of management. The poor cashier called 4 different times after I checked and saw order was wrong for both servers and managers to no avail. A server coming for a different order showed up and the cashier let her know to take care of me as I had been waiting for almost 15 minutes. The server ran in grabbed a couple things that were still not right and did not seem to care when I let her know this was still not what I ordered! She actually told me what I ordered was not a menu item. Wrong! I have ordered the same thing twice and it's on the menu and website! I don't blame the employees. I think lack of management in addition to chain restaurant processed food is the problem.

It was just an OK experience. The food was ok and the pirtions seemed smaller than they usually are. The bathroom was dirty and the experience just left us wanting more.

My wife and I ate here today. We asked the waitress (Kristin R.) what she recommends. Keep in mind this is breakfast. She recommended the Pecan Pancakes (for me) and The Old Timer's Breakfast. They were both fabulous. The pancakes were delicious and the hash brown casserole, bacon and freshly made buttermilk biscuits were out of this world. We have found our new favorite breakfast place... If you have not eaten here run... hurry... fast... before they run out of great delicious food... No, they will not run out of food but it would be worth the run. Kristin was absolutely correct on her recommended favorites and they are now our favorites.

Our initial waitress Sara was amazing. ...we were seated at the end of her shift.. she was the most amazing waitress... Patience took over for her.... service was awesome. .. my only complaint and not worth a star was my grits were gummy

So, you'll notice that my initial review for this Cracker Barrel location was a 4/5 stars. This updated review is a reflection of one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Only one tops this one... It is about 8pm on a Thursday night, two weeks ago. The dining room is sparsely populated. Myself, my wife and my oldest daughter are getting a late dinner. These were the issues: 1) It took 5 to 10 minutes just to have our drink order taken. 2) Drinks took another 5 minutes to get to the table and weren't brought by the initial waitress but by another.** 3) Another 5 minutes later a third waitress comes to take our order.** 4) A waitress walks by our table and ignores the empty glass. 5) 10 to 15 minutes later ANOTHER waitress brings us our meal.** At which time my wife looks at me and says, "I'm confused, who is our waitress?" "I have no idea." I reply. I ask the fourth waitress to bring me some strawberry jam for my biscuits. 6) The first waitress returns and asks if we need anything. I say I'd like a refill, my wife had a full mouth and instead raises her glass... The waitress ignores it. I also ask for my strawberry jelly... Again. **I don't normally have a problem with multiple people attending a table. Sometimes the attending waitress is too busy to get things out to her tables. This, however, was different. Usually you can assume the first waitress is the one attending... Unless she doesn't come back and someone else says "I'll be taking care of you." Also, there were a total of four tables and three out of those tables had three or less patrons. As a former waiter, I can say that managing four tables is not a difficult feat to accomplish. That situation just had incompetence written all over it. A huge pet peeve of mine is how well the waitress keeps up with mine and my family's drinks. It is an important thing overlooked and underestimated by many. For me, it is a sure fire way to loose your tip. That, the poor service, and the inability to identify our waitress led to there being no tip left. The dining room was, very obviously, poorly managed. You can always tell how well a restaurant is managed by seeing the quality of their customer service in their down time. You disappointed me, Cracker Barrel. Please do better, next time.

Me and my girlfriend ate here last night and the place looked very nice. Was noisy because its new and very busy but the environment reminds you of that country idaho feel so it feels welcoming. After ordering food took them about 15 minutes which was pretty good for how busy it was. Ordered chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes, casserole, and macaroni and cheese. They brought out everything but the mashed potatoes and i ended up waiting about twenty minutes until I could get someone to bring me more which was pretty frustrating. Also when they brought out the macaroni with the other food, it was clearly burnt macaroni normally should not have burned brown cheese on part of it. Even though it was a small amount my experience with mac and cheese is that once some cheese burns it all tastes burnt. I asked them for some new mac and cheese since it was burnt, and it came with the potatoes. I was disappointed with them because of this since you clearly could see burned macaroni and cheese and it should not have even left the kitchen like that. Those where the two things they lost points form I also did not like the buttermilk cornbread because all I could taste was butter but that may just be personal taste as the were moist and cooked correctly. Now this would have been a two star review for me but I did like all the food I got a lot, and when I did ask for it they got it to me quickly. My only other concern was the lack of concern that my food was not there or burnt. Had they corrected that problem I would have actually made this a four star review, since the waitress or manager never apologized or tried to make it up though so it stayed three stars. I did like all the food though once I got it. The brown gravy on the potatoes was a little strong but other then that was great. chicken and dumplings was good I had hoped for a little more chicken but the taste and chicken gravy was fantastic. The potatoes casserole was very good if not also slightly small portioned. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good but still tasted slightly burnt when I got more, strangely enough this was the Same portion size as my main meal. Overall the food was great other then the burnt mac and cheese, I think I was just unlucky when it came to service. I would probably give them another shot for the food though as I tasted my girlfriends chicken fried steak and I think it was the best I have had.

My first time visiting Idaho. Stopped in here for dinner. Tasted good, my sandwich could of been a little hotter but, it was tasty. I had the prime rib French dip. Loved the coleslaw. Hubby had chicken and dumplings with real mashed potatoes, those were yummy! Gift shop was very cute with lots of cute things! Staff were all friendly.

Generally, I like Cracker Barrells. They're not bad, not great, but they're consistent. So going in, I was excited to have it because I hadn't lately, and I was tired from a long journey on the road. A shift manager seated us. Millo was assigned our table. We never saw him. Well, we did, but he never spoke to us. Seven minutes later the shift manger brought us waters. Patience stepped in to serve us. As her name suggests, the service was okay, if you were prepared to wait for it. At this point, I started to suspect that each server has a single table. I mean, the place wasn't that full, but really, it seemed like each table had a server. We asked the shift manager for biscuits; she seemed to have forgotten. When the meal came, everything was tasty, but as a previous Yelper suggested, the grits were a bit gummy, tasteless even. When I was finished with my meal, I got a refill; yes, I was patient. As we ate, we couldn't help but notice another server, Alex. She was courteous and always on the move. She did her side work efficiently. I envied her customers. I don't think any of the other servers had more than one table, but you could feel the life being sucked out of the room. Low drinks. Slow food. Where's-our-server faces everywhere. And then there's Alex's section buzzing along--with multiple tables even. I would have tipped her if I could have. She and the great food were real diamonds in the rough at this place. If you're Yelping in the area, there are other Cracker Barrells nearby. Hopefully, you can get better service there unless this place can get its management to get its country fried steak in gear.

really good and really crowded! but the service was great and the food was even better! So glad to find the restruant way out in the west. We loved the ones in the south and were really missing our southern food. It was great!

I had a good time here, the place is pretty crowded for Wednesday lunch, I ordered their Wednesday special, the chicken pot pie. It's good and in the correct portion size for me. It comes with either biscuits or cornbread. The cornbread was a bit dry but it's still ok. The price is not expensive for the specials they have. Server is nice although, she forgot to bring me water in the end, but it's understandable because it was pretty busy day at the time. I wouldn't say this place is the best but it's worth a quick lunch.

After we were seated, no server came by to check on us or offer water. After waiting 20 minutes, we left. Went over to Wingerz, was seated, provided water and took our order in 5 minutes. They even had less servers.

A GREAT place to have home made tasting food, down home atmosphere. Just like original in Tennessee. Lunch specials are reasonably priced, and better then a fast food drive through. We'll be back

Traveling from Southern California and came by the restaurant right at closing and they were awesome enough to allow us to still pick up our order! We called our order in and said it would be close to closing but we wanted to pick up the food and they still allowed us to get everything. They even allowed my wife and daughter to use the restroom real quick. LOVE Cracker Barrel!

We LOVE Cracker Barrell, but we don't love this one. The severing size is smaller then other Cracker Barrell locations, 2 in AZ, 3 in UT, and the one in Boise off Cole Rd. Things tend to be a little burnt. They don't offer you there famous biscuits or corn breads, you have to ask for them, and even then you might not get it served to you. We have been here 3 times hoping it was just bad luck or a new cook, something to explain why the quality difference from all other locations. No words, can't figure it out. Last night, our server came over 3 times, 1 to ask for our drinks, 2 to order our food, 3 to drop off our check. I wanted to order a soup, she never came back to see if we needed anything else. So disappointed, now we have to drive 23 miles to the Cole Rd location just to get Cracker Barrell, I guess that's better then driving from where we use to to in CA to AZ, the closest one. I hope management changes the way they do stuff there or better train their cooks.

We've been to CB a lot in another state. The food here was fine, tho not great. Our server wasn't great, tho not from lack of trying. As my wife said, "He's new be patient." The kid forgot stuff and annoyingly bumbled about all night, forgetting things (a Coke refill) - & they weren't busy. A minute after ordering my wife wanted to change her order and he said, "oh, sorry, I already put it it." I told him there were seven of us, we were spending a good sum of money, and my wife was going to get what she wanted. He changed it. He was nice but it was this sort of foolishness all night. The most noteworthy thing, however, happened when we first arrived. Mom & 10-yr old daughter went to wash their hands. They came back with our daughter bawling. The soap dispenser malfunctions and sprayed both of them with soap all over their shirts, face, and in my daughter's eye. It stung for a long time and hurt her a lot, and I hugged and soothed her for a good ten minutes while it hurt. She's a good tough girl. By the end of our visit it was still stinging a little. A hostess (& none other) finally noticed the commotion, I told her what happened. She was sympathetic and said she'd tell the manager. We never heard anything back from anyone. I was curious and asked her about it as we left. She said she told her and the manager acknowledged it was a known issue. Stunned silence - it's a known issue and still going on, hurt my little girl, plus they didn't bother to even *say* anything. I'm still incredulous. I wasn't upset, but now a day later writing this I realize I am. I told the girl that was really poor management and hurts their business... So here I am on Yelp. And man they're lucky I'm not posting a pic here of my red-eyed crying in pain little girl.

Arrived Sunday morning about 630 am and had to wait a short while to be seated. Not sure why. I ordered the ham and eggs. The ham was such a small portion. After cutting out the bone, I'd be surprised if it was 3 oz. And it was very tough to cut and chew. The food arrived warm, but not hot. The music was loud. Overall, very disappointing breakfast.

Absolutely the very best blueberry pancakes I have ever eaten in my fifty years! My wife had chicken and dumplings that were mediocre at best!
