I love The Floating Restaurant and have been going there since I was a kid. They've always had awesome service, great food and of course the view is amazing. Their new remodel just took everything to a new level. Very cool decor and fun atmosphere. We go often, whether it's for Sunday Brunch, Lunch, Appetizers or Dinner....we're always impressed!

I feel they are very Slow and Badly trained people. I tried them twice with same results.

Bomb.com/tasty even if the food sucked, this place would be epic., literally a floating restaurant with a great menu, great drinks, kind staff, and a view to die for. A must do when visiting north Idaho., or if you're a local. 5 stars!

I know the food here is good, having eaten here in the past. Unfortunately I have tried to go there for twice in the last month for dessert; the brownie/huckleberry sundae is very good. Both times we were meet with unfriendly staff. First time there appeared to be enough wait staff and there were open tables both inside and outside; but we were told that they were busy cleaning up tables and we would have to wait. After 10minutes waiting we left. This weekend we were met by the bar lady who was very short and to the point that she was the only one there and she was full in the bar and too busy to deal with us. The management needs to look at their staffing issues, as the food here is good if you can get a seat.

SERVICE AND FOOD WAS SUPER DUPER AMAZING!! The Father's Day Brunch was CRAZY GOOD! The Buffet had a LOT of choices - too numerous to mention - ALL items were so tasty and delicious AND EXTREMELY fresh and flavorful! Every pastry had been hand made that morning and the menu selection was wonderful too! I had never had Morel mushrooms but had heard they were extremely wonderful. I ordered the Morel omelet and it was one of the most luscious items I have ever tasted! Everything is made fresh and to order by the owner herself! She's is a VERY talented chef and her delectable dishes reflect this! if you are in the area at all - I HIGHLY recommend trying this restaurant!! It's a REAL TREAT!!! We also had the most incredible Bloody Mary's for brunch as well. They were some of the best I'd ever tasted! Our waitress was outstanding too! Brunch at the Floating Restaurant is a GREAT start to any Sunday!!! I HIGHLY recommend Brunch (OR any other meal - I am sure they would all be equally as GREAT)!!!!

I've been coming to this restaurant since the early 80s as a kid, and now that we go back to visit Hope in the Summer it's a normal stop for us. This time we hosted a birthday party for 30 people on their back deck. If you are looking for a place to host an event, they really went above and beyond and made sure we had a great day! Elisa is the head chef and owner I believe, and from the minute I emailed her to secure the date, she was attentive, suggested the food, offered a very fair price, and the party was a huge success. The food was excellent, and the service was equally good. That combined with a gorgeous July day on the lake, our family and friends couldn't stop raving about what a great party it was. And all we had to do was show up. They took care of everything. Whether you are just stopping in for lunch and cocktails after a day on the lake (guest parking for your boat in their marina as well as place to fuel up), having dinner, or looking for a place to host your event, the "Floater" is a great option. Quick note of mention....as is most of Hope, Idaho, this is a pretty casual place. It's not going to blow you away with fancy decor, but again, located on the lake at the base of the mountains, it's hard to beat the location and view on a Summer day.

This place has gone down hill. My husband and I chose to spend our anniversary here and were not impressed. My martini was extremely small and watered down, so I had to send it back. The food was just ok and the deck was dirty. Lots of spiderwebs, food under the tables and below average service. Certainly not a $70 dinner...a let down.

Hope, Idaho (Lake Pend Oreille): this a really a fun place to drive our boat to the Floating Restaurant. Food is average ... the view is spectacular .... people watching is great. There is also a Marina nearby. I enjoy having the dock girls gas up my boat and wash the windshield. The only problem is, when it's time for gas, my two sons insist taking the boat over there and leave Dad behind!

Wow, only 1 previous review for this restaurant? I guess yelp hasn't caught on in northern Idaho! Went to this restaurant last week with the parents (who are going to retire to the beautiful Pend Oreille area). Yay for many more visits in the years to come! The outside area is fairly small, with 12-15 tables total, all on a floating dock as the name suggests. The view faces west so we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the lake and mountains. Heaven. The drink menu was very extensive and had some great cocktails. I thoroughly enjoyed my huckleberry martini ($7-8?) while my family sipped on a bottle of huckleberry wine ($20). I'm excited to try some of the other cocktails next time. The food menu was also fairly diverse and everything I tried was delicious. I'd highly recommend the buffalo empanadas ($9), roast chicken with couscous ($17), and the red pepper cream pasta ($12). YUM. I'm not a huge seafood fan, but both my dad and brother raved about the seafood paella ($20 something). Desserts were also quite delicious, but a tad overpriced (~$8/piece). We got the huckleberry pie and chocolate mousse. All in all the quality and freshness of the food pleasantly surprised me. The service was also fantastic, which was less of a surprise considering everyone I met in the small towns around the lake was extremely friendly. :) I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning next summer.
