Great food, good prices, nice brews I was really surprised by the high prices at the restaurants in and around the Hailey, Ketchum, & Sun Valley area. I was told it was because it's a tourist area - but I'm from the DC Metro, I travel a lot, and these prices were higher even than I'm used to! The Sun Valley Brewing Company was a delicious departure from this! They had a nice selection of HUGE salads, reasonable burgers, pizza, and other pubby fare for reasonable (not bargain, mind) prices. I got the Chinese Chicken Salad - with the mandarin oranges on the side. What was interesting, was you could get a large or half salad. But the price diff was only 50¢ but the difference in sizes was significant. Sort of like upgrading of the popcorn at the movies for 50¢. Not to be wasteful and because I'm staying in a hotel, I got the smaller size. It was yummy! My friend Sonja got the chicken alfredo pasta served with garlic toast and it looked yummy! Sitting outside on the patio was lovely! The sun shades helped with the glare and the mountains surrounding the town was a beautiful backdrop! Finding a reasonable place to gnosh in this area is a challenge - the Brewing Company is a terrific tasty joint that won't break your bank!

Want crappy service? Sit at the bar and ask for Annie. I mean, seriously, I've rarely had worse service--and I've lived in Florida AND California. My wife and I stopped in on our anniversary after trekking through the nearby Sawtooth National Forest. We were really looking forward to a cold beer and some relaxation. Annie, though, acted as though we were a huge bother to her, despite the fact that we were one of perhaps five people in the restaurant. She practically threw our utensils, beer, food and credit card receipt at us. It was truly unbelievable. The sad thing is, the beer and food (veggie quesadilla) were quite good; just not good enough to overcome such horrible service.

Came here on the way home from Alturas. Had to stop everywhere on the way back to Salt Lake and it truly was awesome. I wanted to experience the area and people whom lived there. I'm glad I did. It made me want to settle down in this small place and just disappear from the rest of the world. They brew a ton of their own beers, and they had a full menu which I tried non of. I honestly don't know if this place was that great, or I was just wrapped up in the vacation mindset. But it was cool, and right on a main road where a motorcycle rally was driving by and we got to chill on the porch and partake in all that is Idaho. Gorgeous.

Was driving to Ketchum for the day and stumbled upon this place on the drive. I'm always in the mood for a craft beer pub and make no mistake this place was worth every penny. I had the reuban which was fantastic and a cold gold to wash it down. If you're ever in the area I recommend stopping in.

The beer is great - I tried a few different kinds and liked them all. The live music was fun and packed out the bar. The only food I tried was the chicken wings, which were pretty good. I wish they had more options than just one sauce, but whatever.

Came early and relax-ulated on the patio. Beer was good. Wine was drinkable (better than most breweries). Food was fresh. Our waitress, Lesley gave solid recommendations and fast service with a smile. In a town without a ton of options I put this one in the rotation.

The Mediterranean salad for dinner was excellent! The pizza Bianca was also fantastic. Both were fresh, flavorful and delicious at every bite! My other half liked his beer and was pleased with the Brewhouse Louis salad. We will be back for the great food! The waiter was refreshingly honest and on point with his suggestions for food. He had a great sense of humor and a kindness and realness that made us feel at home. Having read the other reviews, we expected it to be a little grungy and it was. It actually seems to be at the end of how dirty you can actually let carpet and floors get. It would be great to see a little renovation and deep cleaning happen in there!

Great bar to grab a beer (micro also) and enjoy some live music....about as good as it gets for bar food...noisy but good atmosphere and good attentive wait staff....

Great beer, good food, excellent service and awesome live music...what else do you need?

Wow! Great menu, great beer, and great live music! The menu is not your typical brew - pub fare. Traditional "meat and potatoes" + exotic international cuisine. The shrimp curry is amazing, the Cranky beer is awesome! Table mate had Scampi - delish. This is the place that brings in national, regional, and local acts 2-4 nights a week. Often no cover charge. Cool servers, we even met the chef. Reasonable prices too. We came back for lunch. Smaller lunch menu, but yummy. They make their own corned beef for the reuben. The full size med salad is huge... get the half!

My wife and I went here for Lunch. The Pine Top pale ale was one of the better beers that I have had. I tasted the IPA and it was pretty good too. My wife had the Blonde Lager and she enjoyed it. The beer is brewed on site and very fresh tasting with no off flavors. The food was average to good, but nothing spectacular. The bartender was very helpful. We had some driving questions about how to get to McCall, he pulled out his iphone and looked up the directions and road conditions for us and also gave us some suggestions on scenic detours. The bar had it's share of local characters. We overheard a conversation that was between a **really** drunk local and was directed some out of towers. Even though it was freezing out, the local invited the out of towers to his property "any time" to go fishing. They were tolerating and him nicely and he was a very happy drunk! It was a funny conversation to overhear! We would definitely go back if we were back in Hailey!

We didn't try the food, but the Colorado Chili special sounded good. The Blonde Pilsner was a good example of a pilsner, but there wasn't much distinctive about it. The Apple Beer was pretty interesting, but was begging for some sweetness. The bartender, who also came to take our order next to the fireplace, said that he'd rather do a hard cider if he had a vintner's license; we agreed. The Honey Weizen (9+% ABV!) was pretty unique, but I'm not sure I'd order it again. To their credit, the bartender proactively gave us samples of the apple beer and Honey Weizen before giving us a full pint, because he knew they weren't everyone's cup of tea. The stout (can't remember the name) was quite good. The ambiance was great; it seemed like there were a lot of locals who knew one another there, and the fireplace would be great for apres-ski.

I agree... Drink here, don't eat. The place was a bit too dirty for me. Our waiter was very nice though.

Showed up on a Saturday afternoon at 12:30 for lunch. Place was dead. Staff was put out we were there. Asked to sit outside. Was told we would have to order at the bar because the staff couldn't take the order outside. Food wasn't that great for the "only brew pub in Sun Valley". Burger tasted like a frozen patty. Beer was OK, would have thought my tap beer was a Bud Light had I not seen the bar tender pour it. Must have been there on a bad day, better off going to the deli or pizza place across the street, if not for the wait staff.

Ah, the Brewery. This place is a mainstay in Hailey. One of the two bars that I know of. I grew up in Hailey and whenever I'm in town I make a point of stopping by here. The decor is simple and welcoming. It feels a lot like a lodge, especially with the fire place. Service is friendly enough and they get your food out to you in good time. I've only had to send a dish back once in over 7 years of eating there. Their chicken wings are to die for, I am convinced they need to bottle and sell their in-house BBQ sauce as I've yet to find one that is better. The bartenders know how to make any drink I've ever asked for, so no complaints there. They've even gone as far to brew me a fresh pot of coffee at 9pm when I asked for an Irish Coffee. As a final plus, they haven't raised their prices for as far as I can remember. In the hyper-inflated bastion that is Blaine County, you have to respect their integrity and commitment to the customers.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was horrible. The wait staff was not attentive and acted like we were an inconvenience. The food was horrible, it seemed like everything was cooked in the microwave, I had a quesadilla and it came out soggy and limp, yuck! The only thing that was good was the beer, but it was not anything to get excited about. Will never come back here.

I love that this place is on my way home. Genius! Awesome brews (I prefer a Cranky's or a Pine Top) and the food always hits the spot. In the summer I can always find a seat at the bar, but for après-ski, I recommend a seat near the fireplace.

So I happened upon this place on an overnight. I love brewpubs so I had to give it a go. My partner and I had already eaten dinner so we didn't get a chance to sample the food (FWIW, it smelled really good). We did have a few of their brews. I enjoy IPAs so I started with their Roundhouse IPA, which I really enjoyed. Pretty hoppy but not over the top. I also tried the White Cloud Ale which is an amber english ale. It was a lot smoother that the IPA (of course) but reasonably tasty. The place was pretty crowded for a Monday. and the live music was pretty good. The staff was also very friendly. I can't wait to come back and try their food.

This place is a joke. The waitress brought food at random times at a table of 4. On top of that she took plates that were half finished in front of you without asking. On TOP of all that she charged 20% gratuity on a table of 4!!!!! You have to be kidding me! The 2 of the plates brought out were cold from sitting in the kitchen while she was drinking her beer. The beer was great (octoberfest brew) and glasses cold, but I would rather slap my testicles against a behive than come back to this place again. Once we questioned the waitress she started screaming at which point we left. Never go here!!!

Stopped here for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. The burger was very good. Good sized, hand-made patty. Soup was also house made. Service was adequate.

Stopped here to grab some lunch... food was okay... had to eat healthy, so I went with the Chinese Chicken Salad... took some issue with the salad itself. The Salad had those tiny, weird corns and the flavor didn't really mesh with the ginger dressing or the mandarin oranges. Minus the freakishly tiny corns, the salad would have been much better. Definitely a step above typical bar food, would rather come back at a different time to have a burger and a beer.

Well this is one of my haunts while in the Spun Valley. The beers they brew are good. I like the Blonde personally. ] Its a good place to get a "six dollar" burger from an actual restaurant. The Angus Burger is better than a jarls jr one. Good atmosphere, great helpful and friendly staff. They let me put Roxanne just outside the outside eating area. They offered to bring Roxanne water.

Wow! What a disappointment. I was looking forward to stopping in and experiencing several of their brews and was turned off the minute I stepped in the door. The bartender looked at us like we were bothering her by coming in the door. Tried the Red Ale which was excellent but was very turned off when the bartender poured herself a glass of whiskey and sat on the other side of the bar cosying up to a customer. By the time I finished my beer, she had another glass poured. This all happened just after 4 pm. Not sure how many she knocked back during her shift. Coudn't get out of there fast enough and will never go back.

I have been to Sun Valley Brewing Company many times and have always found their service to be very pleasant and efficient. The beers are always exceptional, and I usually try to do a sampler platter when I am remaining overnight. The food is slightly above average, I have always been satisfied. The atmosphere is laid-back (much more so that that other city up the street.) I will continue to frequent this place while remaining overnight.

Food is not very good. I come here when I need a drink because they have a full bar.

Sun Valley ale is smooth and fresh. Could rival any of the popular micro brews that have gone national. Food is a cut above "bar food" and offers a wide array of treats. Went crazy with the chicken pot pie and wasn't disappointed. They brought me a slice of birthday cake although it was NOT my B-day. Thanks foo's.

i was starving when i finally got out of the client and decided to mosey over to the sun valley brewing company for a nice relaxation beer, football, and hopefully some good food. everyone was pretty friendly and i didnt get that whole "ooo youre from out of town, you weirdo" vibe from them which was rather nice. i had a blonde pilsner which was super tasty and the bartender was mr happy. i liked him. he was fast/efficient/giving me alcohol. i had the mediterranean salad.. i must say this is where the -1 comes in. i've never... in a million years... had a mediterranean salad that had grapes, pine nuts, and whole cloves or garlic in it. what in the hell. it was the weirdest thing ive ever experienced. i ate it because i was hungry and well.. i had a beer to finish. i think i'll just stick with the alcohol. :)
