Had the skirt steak it was good and they didn't skimp on the serving . The fried jalapeños were hot too.

This place seems to be on an uptick and we've dined here four times in the last two months and had great food and even better service. Everything was fresh and flavorful. My husband has become a fan of their gaviota cocktail - not on the menu but worth asking for.

Starting out, the salsa was good, right off the bat. This family-style Mexican food is pretty good, really. The reception/service is a bit weird, but it could have just been the one lady who had a mix of two problems: lack of attentiveness and rudeness/staring, although I kind of recall similar feelings from my last visit, and also at the little store and taco shop next door, is very cool, especially for such a rural area. The massively popular place is probably some of the only decent Mexican food for miles, hence its popularity. Looks like they also have a taco/burrito truck for warmer temperatures. I'd give this place 3.5, maybe... I don't know. I'd go back, though I won't be thinking about it and/or eagerly anticipating my next visit, per-se. Decent spot.

I'm super picky when it comes to Mexican food. So I was skeptical when my friend told me about this place. I was very impressed to say the least. The tacos are the best I have had in Idaho by far. It's definitely worth driving from Nampa to eat at this place.

Another trip to Emmett, Id and La Costa is still one of my favorites!! Fajitas-rule!!

Never again. The "Taco Salad" was wilted brown iceberg lettuce piled on some ground beef. Since the sour cream and guacamole were an additional $1.50!! I decided not to opt for this. The waitresses were pleasant and the place was clean. But I was shocked at the outrageous price for the slop that came on my plate.

Great food at very reasonable prices. We got the lunch buffet and were pleasantly surprised at the quality as well as the quantity. :)

During my short stay in Emmett the locals said I need to go to LaCosta. It was a stormy night so I ventured down. It was pretty empty when i walked in and that is usually not a good sign so I was a bit apprehensive. I soon realized I had nothing to worry about. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The service excellent. The staff were so pleasant and friendly. They answered many of my questions and offered suggestions. But above all the food was excellent! It was so good and fresh. The portions were not huge but big enough to make me full. The prices were very reasonable. The only downside might be that there is so much goodness on the menu it is so hard to pick just one thing to eat. Definitely will be back next time in Emmett.

Absolutely the best Mexican food anywhere and so affordable. We have eaten Mexican food a many restaurants and none can compare to this one. The servers are very focused on what they are doing and make sure you have everything you need to make the meal memorable and enjoyable.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
