Randomly ate at Fiesta Guadalajara last night without looking at yelp reviews prior toy visit. Overall it was a good experience, shocked to see the other. reviews. We were seated promptly, good service from the staff and the food was tasty. I do prefer the Americanized Hispanic foods and liked the way the meats were season- fajitas, pulled beef & shrimp. The salsa was hot which I also liked bc I like spicy food. Drinks were reasonably priced, my Coronarita was only $7!

Sat next to a couple who wouldn't shut the hell up about how much they hated this place. Food was delicious. Service was fast. I have no idea what was wrong with these idiots.

We will not eat here again. Zero flavor. The food looked like slop on the plate. I don't think any of the food we had was hand made. Rather, it tasted as if they purchased their food from the same place other Mexican restaurants in Boise purchase their Mexican food. Such a disappointment.

Sparkling clean. Very slow service even when nearly empty at late lunch hour. Cordial if slightly disinterested young server didn't seem familiar with menu options and also delivered what we did not order and not what we did. ("Oops. Sorry.") Highly Americanized Mexican food menu. Food that is neither terrible nor memorable; we've had both worse and better. (Note to our server who said she wasn't sure but assumed the mole was housemade, it tastes as if not.) Reasonable prices. We wouldn't go back again nor recommend as destination dining but still an OK stop if you're in the area and in a pinch. THIS N THAT: 1) ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible parking in the lot, level in and throughout, standard height seating at tables and booths, accessible loo. 2) KIDS DISCOUNTS: Signs in window said Kids eat for $1.95 on Sunday and for $0.99 on Monday.

The hostess/waitress was nice. We were seated and served in a timely manner. The chile rellleno was soggy and bland. The beef enchilada was mediocre. Nothing special about mine. My wife had carne asada. Her comments: "The meat was cooked alright and the flavors could have been better but it was over powered by the meats saltiness. Parts of the meat were almost inedible--a slice of lime would have helped but it did not come with a lime. The rice was average at best and the beans tasted like they came straight from a can. The quacamole was good. " I tried the carne asada and had to eat beans to get the taste out of my mouth

Not authentic. Very disappointed with the flavor of the food. It has been so Americanized I don't think you can call it Mexican food. Nice staff though.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. The salsa was flavorless, which was a sign of what was to come. The main dish was flavorless, too. I could've found a fresher taco at Taco Bell. Service was slow, and the place was empty. What a waste of money... and calories.

Warning - NOT a "real" Fiesta Guadalajara! I've given this location about 6 or 7 chances over the past couple years to impress, but they just don't. This location was sold to independent owners by the family that originated FG some time ago, and it shows. They routinely won't honor Fiesta Guadalajara coupons we try to use or make random rules about them (dine-in only, etc. where it doesn't mention that). They upcharge for things like Carne Asada and don't mention this on the menu. The waiter told us to avoid the margaritas since they don't have a full-fledged liquor license and it's weak. The front desk service is routinely lackluster or just plain rude when picking up to go orders. On the good side, they are generous with their salsa and chips. We've found ourselves only visiting the family-owned FG location on Fairview near Locust Grove for the past several months and don't see ourselves heading back to the Chinden location, even though Chinden is closer to us.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
