Came in here for the second time and was disappointed that the bar area was gone. The server (kilo) was extremely nice and very happy! I got the Spanish omelette and pancakes. The food was all good but nothing special, I will probably come back because I like small non chain restaurants.

The food tastes fabulous! Lots of menu choices, good coffee but its not real strong. Great blueberry pancakes, try the Idaho Omelet it was perfect! They give you a carafe for your coffee so you never run out. Seat yourself and feel at home! Bacon cheeseburger was hefty and tasty. Today we returned for Mother's Day and even with all the people we had a great breakfast and coffee was great too! Thank you for being a great place! Those blueberry pancakes are fabulous! And the Idaho omelet was the best I ever had!

We found this place by chance. I ordered the corned beef and hash. I may never eat it anywhere else ever again. Amazing! The service was outstanding! Very friendly and prompt. The dining area and bathrooms were spotless. What a fabulous place! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!

Mr V's has been around for ages many locals call this little place a gem of the town, 1 of the few places still around Caldwell

Typical diner food, reasonably priced, fast service, but ugly interior and smells a little bit smokey. I'd go again.

Stopped in for dinner. The huckleberry lemonade was spectacular. My in laws have been here three times and say each time the new thing they've ordered has been excellent. The steak fingers were delicious and tender. The Salisbury steak was delicious. But the coup de gras was the homemade Marion-berry cobbler ala mode. This was so good that we were hard pressed not to lick the plate! The service was excellent. The server was kind enough to split the desserts that were being shared into individual plates. Kept our drinks refilled. Super friendly.

Phenomenal! We finally made the time and stopped for lunch here after years of talking about it. Melt in your mouth pot roast! Generous portions and excellent value for the price. The staff are so friendly that we felt like we had been coming there for years. Service was outstanding! We are looking forward to our next trip through. We will be stopping here every time we pass through Caldwell.

Stopped in for lunch today. I had the ' light lunch Cobb salad' witch just means it a half salad. It was still a good size meal. Only cost me 6.79 with tax. Even with a bus full of people there today, I still received fast and attentive service.

Mr. V's was very tasty! I had the BLT on sourdough and it was probably the best BLT I've ever had! The waitress was wonderful, and checked on us often. My partner had the cobb salad and my co-worker had the biscuits and gravy. Both looked amazing! We definitely plan on returning!

Great biscuits and gravy! You can opt to have your biscuit warmed on the grill with some butter - I recommend it! The gravy is very creamy and white with just a touch of sausage. The Chicken Fried Steak and the pancakes are also very tasty! Good prices too!

Very nice home-cooked tasting meals. Nice change from chain restaurants. Glad we stopped here for dinner. Thanks!

We used to be regulars here for many years - Tammy was a great waitress! But in the last few years service and quality of food has declined. It is still good, just doesn't stand out from other places as it did before. The last 3 times we went the service was awful and we even got cold food one time. Breakfast is our favorite meal to eat here.

Came back for lunch and managed to choke down some cat turds they called finger steaks. They really sucked. Stick with their breakfast.

Stopped after living here all my life. I was pleasantly surprised. It was quick clean and the waitress paid special attention to our son. The BLT I had was good and my drink was never empty.

Stopped in for breakfast when I was in town... In fact I stopped by twice so far... Good prices and good little dinner when you are craving breakfast! It's a no brainer when in Caldwell! Nice people too!

I had such high expectations for this place but, they didn't measure up. The service was excellent, food was hot and got to me quick.I had chicken fried steak and eggs, the steak was so thin all I could taste was salty flour and cornmeal, gravy was nasty. The hashbrowns were raw in the middle and my eggs were over cooked from how I orderd them.I have been looking for the best CFS and eggs ,this isn't it not by a long shot. The biscuits and gravy looked delicious why don't they use that gravy on the cfs instead of that white slime they used.

From having to clear our table ourselves, from the long waits for basic service let alone refills of _warm_ iced tea, from the corned beef hash that was little more than cubed beef and potatoes to the waitress that was quick to anger even checking to her tip in front of us after leaving in a huff because my partner said she didn't care for the dish... I just don't think I'll ever be back. Did I mention they didn't even take the menus? Or that the 8 dollar dish consisted little more than a handful of beef, a small potato and two eggs? I'll goto Sunrise, or the Airport Cafe next time I'm Caldwell looking for some breakfast.

This was a great place to get a solid American breakfast on a Saturday morning! Chicken fried steak, perfectly poached eggs, hash brown and pancakes for under 10 bucks! Awesome service, very inviting!

Around 8AM, we entered Mr.'s V's for breakfast and noticed we were the only below 55 people in there. They advertise their world famous biscuits and gravy which was a huge disappointment. For about $4, all you got was lukewarm two KFC sized biscuits on a small appetizer sized plate drenched in grey gelatinous goop. The ham was a little too salty, but the eggs were fresh. Hash browns were good. Overall, breakfast was a notch above Denny's, but I'd rather just make my own. Service is friendly and fast. If you order coffee at a large table they'll even give you your own thermos for instant gratification.

Classic home cooking period... While they tout their biscuits and gravy, for me not so much. Had the Chicken fried steak and eggs which was nice as a denny's... staff was inattentive and just made sure I was 'alright'. Overall a standard diner which if your not a regular, expect a regular experience.

I like the little diner feel in here. It has great service and good coffee. Great coffee stop if your in Caldwell and need somewhere to get your coffee fix in the mornings. The BBQ is also delicious!

Mr. V's is a great diner. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. The BBQ Pork Ribs are fantastic. Best home made pies in Caldwell! Breakfast is a great deal at a good price. They will do to go orders or you can take leftovers home with you. Nice family dining experience.

This place has been around since I was a kid. I have memories of eating here with my grandparents. Some of the best breakfast food in the area. Heads above iHop or Denny's. I particularly love their Idaho Omelet. When you have four kids to feed, you tend to look for great food at a great price, and this place certainly has it. Waitstaff is friendly and treats you like you're a regular. If you're looking for a locally owned place to kick back and relax in a nice family atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

I moved to Caldwell in February and asked the locals where was a good place to eat. They all recommend this place I was greeted with a friendly hello when I walked through the door and the waitress was at my table as I sat down. I ordered water and a diet coke. When the waitress came back she told me about the special of the day. I told her I was thinking about finger steaks or French dip. I asked her what she liked. She said the French dip was her favorite and was tender and juicy with lots of flavor. I ordered the French dip I was just as she described. Flavorful and tender and a price of $7.99 I will be back for sure.

This place is nothing to rave about, but the food is good and the staff is friendly. You should go here if you want to eat something that tastes like you cooked it at home without the hassle. Took my dad here for breakfast and he ordered toast with eggs-over-easy and enjoyed it. I had chicken fingers and they were alright. The little side salad they serve is pretty good too. This place isn't great, but it is priced well and the food is good.
