Stopped here for dinner on our way to Yellow Stone. My burger was unexpectedly gooooood! My friends who had steak also loved their plate. It was so good that we thought about coming back for some more during the week we spent in Yellow Stone. A surprisingly good discover :)

Really bad service and food. I could hear the waitresses arguing over who was going to wait on me and another table in a dining room that wasn't even half full. I usually don't post bad reviews but these guys need to get it together. I don't appreciate making eye contact with servers several times and wait over 5 minutes for a freaking menu. Also there kitchen staff should learn to cook.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Been sitting here with 3 other people for 30 minutes after our order and have watched other waitresses refill coffee while we are still waiting on our first cup. Waitress has not come by to check on us once. DONT GO HERE

We eat there frequently, the steaks are rarely cooked to order and is over cooked (medium rare is medium to well) most of the time. Food is not fresh, or "home cooked". I order the same steak all the time and it's never the same, thickness varies from thin to normal thickness. Salad bar is weak and usually has wilted lettuce and no spinach. Being the only non burger joint in town we are kinda stuck with what we get.

Homemade style delicious breakfast, a must try!!! The biscuits and gravy were amazing! Pancakes are huge and everything is tasty!

You will find fresher food at a gas station. Nothing is homemade. Everything is from cans. The bun they give you is one of those glue paste mass produced bun-oids that isn't suitable for consumption unless you live in a prison. Come to think of it, one would get better food in prison. Keep driving as if your freedom depends on it.

Great breakfast place when your in Ashton. In fact if this were in my 'hood I'd visit here every saturday morning Solid chow, fast service. Basic. Good.

Waited and waited and waited.. As servers came around filling up coffee they blatantly ignored our table, it was over 30 minutes after ordering coffee that we finally were able to flag someone down to get a cup.. After asking for our food, we were told that it was on the grill and that they would serve us after they were done with another table of 10. I guarantee our food had not even been thought about until we asked. If our food had been on the grill that long it would have been burnt piles of mush. I can understand having an off day but there were multiple other tables who had waited even longer than us and we're just getting served after we left. We also noticed that some people who were there after us got served quickly, apparently there's some sort of preference for locals. We probably only got our food because we asked, otherwise our wait would've been doubled. I have never not left a tip before but nobody here deserved one. Our waitress apologized eventually and it helped but 2 hrs spent in a restaurant waiting on food was not the way we wanted to start our day.

I grew up eating at Trails Inn, 20+ years ago it was amazing. Now it's like all of the best things died with the original owner. The twice baked spuds taste like they were either frozen or microwaved. I can tell when I'm not getting fresh food! It also tastes like a whole different recipe. The salad bar doesn't exist anymore, at least not in the winter. I'll never make the mistake of eating there again.

We went in for breakfast on our way to Yellowstone. Atmosphere is nice. Service was very, very slow but our server was pleasant. The place wasn't very busy either. Prices are pretty high. Portions were large. The food was tasty, homemade hashbrowns. My hamburger patty was formed by hand. I ordered my eggs basted but not sure they were. They were over cooked as well. Not a bad place but not all that either. Price on the menu for the salad bar is good though.

Driving between West Yellowstone and Jackson on vacation and we were desperate for breakfast. This place was just what we needed. Clean, spacious, friendly, food was very good (omelets, pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns). There aren't a lot of options on this stretch of road so take advantage of this place. Definitely the best option between Ashton and West Yellowstone.

Ate here twice while vacationing in Ashton. They were a bit under staffed for a Father's Day weekend. The food however was good. Except for the fries. They are breaded, so no one at my table ate them. Had breakfast and dinner. They have a small salad bar which was good.

What a great find! We had the lunch special- steak sandwich & beef stew. Glad we split it cuz it was more than enough! Fast service and great price.

I recommend the Cinnamon Roll and 2 Egg side. Nice and easy breakfast that's fast and good.
