Building was clean w/ modern decor. Food was fast and tasty: pot stickers and phö were a good bet. Service was friendly. And we got a 15% discount for being active duty military. Hooah!

Not good Chinese food. I went at 1:30pm, so I'm sure the rice and soup were prepared 3+ hours prior to my arrival, but that's no excuse for dry rice and bland egg drop soup. Charging $1.50 for a bag of crispy noodles for my soup is a joke. Ordered the General's Chicken lunch special. Smallest pieces of chicken I've ever seen. Since they were so small, even a slight overcooking makes them dry, stringy, and nearly inedible. The sauce at most restaurants is viscous and reddish-brown. General Tso's sauce here is runny (almost watery) and fairly translucent. There are several other options in town. I don't see myself going back to Great Hunan any time soon. PROs: quite clean and the lady behind the counter was polite

Was visiting from out of state and found this to be a disappointment. While the chow mein and broccoli dish were good, the fried rice was tasteless as was the won ton soup (color water with no flavor). Not a typical restaurant setting. It was like a fast food takeout.

I love this place! My favorite thing is General's Chicken, its a little spicy for some people, but I love that, the chicken is fried and doused in this sweet yet spicy red sauce, with broccoli. So tasty! I also love their crab Rangoon's, the egg drop soup is to die for, and the wonton soup I'm convinced could cure a cold, so good, I also love their Lo Mein, full of different kinds of meat, you get chicken, pork, beef and shrimp and the noodles are done just right, other places they are too oily or mushy, I hate that, and the egg rolls are the best in town! Do not order: Fried rice, dry flavorless and sticky.

I love this place, I've been going for years, the generals chicken is the best I've ever had, once you order you have soup as part of your meal within a minute or two. Appetizers come shortly thereafter even on busier nights. The wait staff isn't the most attentive but you can get drinks at the soda machine whenever you want. I will say the pho isn't all that good but their food has always been awesome, especially for the area.

Waitress was inept, forgot our drinks. Didn't clear the table. Place was dirty. Food was subpar. We won't eat here again and will discourage anyone else from trying it.

The best Chinese food! Generals chicken and sesame chicken are the best! Crab Rangoon is addicting! Delicious and the waitress was wonderful

One of best small Chinese restaurants in area. Always good compared to a lot of resurants of northern California. Not fancy, but we recommend it. One of our favorites.

Do your self a favor... Go somewhere else. Food was less that satisfactory! We won't be back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
