Their food is some of the best Chinese food in the metro area! Their delivery is super fast and prices are reasonable. Personal favorites are their steamed pot stickers, egg drop soup, chicken with broccoli and Mongolian beef.

Moved to Waukee area from Beaverdale area and used to get Cheng's Garden all the time. Was looking for a Chinese place that delivered and there wasn't much to choose from. Decided to give this a shot and it was terrible. Didn't even look that great when we opened the boxes. On top of that, my fortune cookie didn't even have a fortune in it! Lol.

Each time I have tried their meals the taste has been off. The meat tasted very weird, not fresh, with a bad aftertaste and I did not enjoy anything that was ordered, including the crab rangoons/soup. The food was also served warm, not hot as it should be. The customer service was poor, they were rude at the counter and did not even offer a water refill in the 40 minutes I was there, not to mention it took forever to get the bill. Never coming here again. Better off buying Chinese from Hy-Vee down the street, the quality there is even 100 times better than this place. Don't waste your time or money.

Decent food...would have been better if it was what I had ordered. And the customer service was the worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. Based off that alone, I will never go back.

We ordered our meals around 1pm. While ordering, the girl asked if we wanted lunch or dinner. We said dinner. When we received our order, one was a lunch item, one of the sodas was wrong, and one of the entrees was the wrong thing. When we called about it, we were met with rude staff and insulting accusations. The food is sub-par and the customer service is awful. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Gross. I only ordered beachside they're the only place that delivers. It was terrible. There was a chunk of meat in the vegi fried rice, the phad Thai was gross & I threw it away. The sesame chicken & sweet & sour chicken were also not good. Will never eat here again.

If there was a way to rate this place zero stars, I would. Always had great food in the past, but tonight was different. I called in an order for delivery and after an hour hadn't received my food which had been quoted 35 minutes. They offered me 15% off for my trouble because the "ticket didn't print", and said it would be another 30 minutes. Not worth it. I will never bring my business here again.

Good food, quick and friendly service, and a nice new clean place. When we stopped by, we were the only ones there around 7-ish PM. While we were eating, I heard a lot of phone orders come in and a few people picking up. My sister and I had hot tea, an order of spring rolls(2), crab rangoons(6), and shared a dinner meal of sesame chicken. It came with a cup of soup, an egg roll, and fried rice (you can also get white). Good place.

I was craving some Chinese and had seen that a new location was added in Waukee. I stopped in and noticed they have some good priced combo meals for both lunch and dinner. I ordered the Orange Chicken which came with soup, an egg roll, crab rangoon and rice. The lady behind the counter told me it would be 5 min and I thought "sure...only 5 min!?" but it was literally that short. The chicken was moist and had great flavor. The crab rangoon was also very good. Next time I am craving some Chinese, I just might be coming here!

Solid, reasonably priced American palate-friendly Chinese food. It wasn't innovative, but there are lots of choices, the combos are a very good deal, and the service was pleasant. The atmosphere is a level nicer than a typical Chinese fast food place, though it was still definitely casual. The food was reasonably tasty.

We order delivery here pretty often. It's good food at a very reasonable price.

Service is prompt and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The menu isn't unique at all, but has a large selection and boasts "no MSG." Food has good flavor and spice with crisp vegetables. The steamed rice sticks nicely without being gelatinous. The atmosphere is bright with appropriate music, not bubblegum pop like some other Chinese places in the area. We will definitely eat here again.

Definitely a great neighborhood Chinese restaurant. If you are looking for upscale Asian fusion this is not the place. They do a great garlic chicken and kung bao chicken. The egg drop soup is not fantastic. The service is great, and he price is right. Well done Phoenix.

I ordered delivery from Phoenix for the first time tonight. The food was delicious and our order was delivered in 20 minutes (even when it was snowing out). For the amount of food you get, you pay very little too. If you are looking for a good Chinese meal, it's a great restaurant to check out!

Enjoyed it! Try it! Food was ready in 5 minutes and they serve a lot of meat with the entrees.

I have eaten here several times and have been pleased with quality and amount of food for the money. Last time we placed an order for delivery... After almost an hour I called the restaurant. They reported that they didn't have the order in the system. I won't be eating here again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
