This is an excellent stop if in Pella, Iowa! The Greek Gyro platter is outstanding!! The service is very good as well. I met a couple who always gets George's Special Pizza. The wife said that is the best pizza ever!! It definitely looked GOOD!! A solid choice when in Pella and worth the trip if close! A SOLID 5 star!?

I'm a huge fan of pizza places in college towns, and this is one that hits the spot. George's has a friendly staff, delicious pizza (made even more delicious if you dip it in Ranch dressing -- YUM!), and is affordable. Bonus soft serve cones at the exit, so you can indulge your sweet tooth after you've gotten your pizza fix. We got meat lover's when I was here most recently, and it was super tasty. Not too much sauce, crust just the right thickness and consistency (doughy, but not big and filling), and melty cheese that got crispy and bubbly right where it met the crust. The pizza is served bubbling hot, but you can't help yourself from taking a bite, burning your mouth, and taking another bite - it's that good. The next time you're in Pella, make time for a stop at George's -- you won't be disappointed :)

Good, reliable hometown restaurant. The pizza is good, but the creamy seafood pasta is amazing. A lot of the wait staff have been there a long time and it shows. They are quick, know their stuff and always provide great service. Definitely give this place a try if you're in town!

I had the pork chops dinner while I was here a few weeks ago. Pleasant atmosphere right in downtown Pella. The food is just the way I like it- homestyle cooking. Reasonable price and food done right:)

This pizza is delicious! I crave this sometimes and can't find anything else quite like it. I love the crust. My favorite is the vegetarian pizza and Greek salad. (I haven't tried anything but salad and pizza). I would have given 5 stars but the service isn't always the best. I took a friend there and the waitress who took our order never brought it to the cooks, we found out much later. But the people making the food know what they are doing. I recommend take-out. Also, the ice cream at the front is complimentary.

Good small town restaurant. I had the Greek salad and Hawaiian pizza and both were good. They do have Italian style pizza with a thin crust which is pretty good. Also, they have an ice cream machine out front and I'm not quite sure if it's free or what the deal is with it... But overall it was a good dinner. The only thing to note is they don't accept credit cards but there is an ATM at the bank across the street.

This is a great little spot.... Good coffee, cute atmosphere, and fresh wraps:) can't go wrong for a quick bite! Also, pasta plates are huge! Not homemade pasta, but it's Iowa- quick Italian fare for a great price:)

I've been going to Pella for nearly a decade now (my husband's extended family lives here) but this last trip brought me my first George's take out. Pizza was ready on time and reasonably priced for the area. I really enjoyed the crust & the sausage (edge pieces for me!). Parking can be a pain on a busy night but that's the same issue anywhere downtown on a busy evening. The new decor is a definite improvement from their old location, I am told.

Food was good, we had a steak and a chicken dish. Very kid friendly. My daughter loved the free ice cream afterward. Also pretty affordable.

Meh. Service was slow but they made up for it with quick food delivery. I got seated in a hole of a seat (half booth). Gyro salad was Allright. Nothing special. Felt like my single meal was hardly worth their effort.

I came into Pella for the night and was looking for a good local place. Upon the recommendation of the hotel staff I placed a to-go order here. Dear sweet Jesus was this a great restaurant! The Duchess Burger was amazing and most importantly the bun wasn't soggy by the time I got back to the hotel. The burger tasted just like it came off the grill! Their gyro was divine with fresh, fantastic ingredients. And the staff was equally professional and friendly. What a gem of a place!!
