When I heard that the manager used to run Hardees I should have known not to expect much. They somehow managed to even come short of that low bar. They didn't have gluten free beer or hard ciders, so I ordered a Malbec. The wine list consists of what are usually $5 bottles (Sutter Home) that they sell by the glass for $5. They had Tassel Ridge, a local red, selling for $25 but the Hy-Vee down the road sold it for $8.99. Anyway, my wine tasted like vinegar so I sent it back. The bartender said the bottle had only been open since Friday; four days ago. They listed peach margaritas on their specialty list so I ask for that instead. She said they didn't have the ingredients. There isn't a single gluten free option on the menu so I got grilled chicken w/o the bun & drowned it in buffalo sauce. While we were eating, the manager came out, said, "this is so dead," told the staff to lock up at 1 pm and left the building. No less than 20 people came up to the door and were turned away, shaking their heads in frustration. They could clearly see us eating through the windows & the hours of operation on the building itself states that they are open from 11 - 2 pm for lunch. I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner, drinks or for your worst enemy. As we were leaving, my sister pointed out that the menu states "if you bring your own wine, there will be a $15 uncorking fee per bottle." Un-f-ing-believable.
