This place was terrible. Our server was terrible, our food was terrible, the atmosphere was terrible. Break it down: our server greeted us after what I could describe as quite some time. A little while. There was no, "hello!" no "how are you two tonight?" just "what do you want to drink" and it was said so fast, like "whatdoyouwanttodrink" like it was all one word. Other servers were friendly and upbeat, but ours was far from it. She "greeted" every table like this too! Yowza. The pasta section of the menu was really weird. It was sort of like, a build your own pasta type of thing. Yet somehow no combination sounded appetizing? I ended up ordering the chicken Alfredo. After what seemed like an eternity, our food arrived. This was the blandest chicken Alfredo I've ever tasted. I swear it came right out of a can, and the chicken looked and tasted like those Oscar Meyer pre-cut chicken strips from the grocery store. I am not trying to be dramatic or mean, that is exactly how I described it at the table. Not a hint of garlic in the sauce... or a hint of flavor at all! BF's bacon cheeseburger calzone was pretty good, but it would be better described as a sandwich with pizza crust as the bread. The ingredients were not rolled up inside the dough, so I was sort of confused when that dish showed up. Idk. All I know is it definitely tasted better than this chicken Alfredo I had. We waited forever again after we were done eating to have plates cleared, then waited and waited again for the check...then waited and waited again for someone to run the check. All the while, what seemed to appear as the manager, or maybe the owner? and all of the servers are running around like chicken sans heads. Just a hot mess of a place. Doubtful we'll return.

You know we just like the pizza. It is good and the thin crust just snaps when you bite into it. We like the Gazebo dressing on a salad and it is a nice salad, not just lettuce. We run in to some friends there once in a while. They frequent the place all the time. Now the only drawback is one server. Just doesn't listen and the last time we were there with our friends she got our order wrong and our friends order wrong. Now this one time is not going to stop us or our friends from coming back. The food is just too good to miss.

You won't find better food in Marshalltown than Mama Digrados. The pizza is not to be missed! My favorite is the pepperoni calzone. Never in my life have I found a calzone with even half the flavor. I also love the chicken Alfredo. But I would cross the ends of the earth to have that calzone

On recommendation from a local, I tried this place for lunch. For around $6.95, I had a sandwich, chips and drink combo. The toasted BLT was one of the best sandwiches I have ever. Honestly, there shouldn't be such a ing as a bad sandwich - how complicated is meat, cheese and veggies between bread? It was certainly much better than going to Subway or another franchise you can find anywhere, and the price was comparable to a large burger combo at a drive thru. The booths were nice and service was fast and friendly. I cannot speak on their pasta, since I have not tried it yet.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
