C&M's is the perfect example of small town value, charm and good eats wrapped into one cozy place. I stopped in for the first time last Sunday morning; they serve breakfast until 10:30am on weekends. The place is pretty laid back, but there is table service. They have an à la carte menu, which I love because I often eat like a bird. I ordered 2 eggs ($1.50), toast ($0.75) and coffee ($0.50). My eggs were perfectly scrambled, my two slices of thick wheat toast well buttered, and my coffee continuously refilled. My dining buddy ordered bacon, eggs and toast, and a soda. Grand total? $7 something. Less than eight dollars! The two women who took my order, refilled my coffee, and delivered my water were incredibly friendly; the service was supreme. You can't beat the cozy feel of this clean cafe more known for their burgers and ice cream than for breakfast. Rest assured, this is no dive. Malvern is off the beaten path, though the Wabash Trace Nature Trail runs through town. If you're in Council Bluffs or Omaha, consider a morning drive to Malvern. Take the Loess Hills Scenic Byway into Glenwood to Highway 34, then south a couple miles into Malvern. Explore the town's old buildings and enjoy breakfast at C&M's. Enjoy!

I LOVE this place! I have never been disappointed by a meal here. The staff is kind and attentive. I recommend the grilled chicken and my husband loves the mushroom swiss burger with fried pickles, or steak if it is an evening meal! Whenever we have a company event, they are the first I call to cater (great steak and bacon onion green beans with mashed potatoes). I even had them cater my wedding! They thought of things I didn't and took care of them for me. Its the little things.
Friendly staff, very nice rustic dining room with no TVs, loved the ceiling. The Classic came very highly recommended. Not much fresh here. The salad greens came out of a bag with no opportunity for any variance: I prefer no Iceberg lettuce. Nope. Can't do that. Got corn that had come from a can. Overcooked chicken fried steak. Fries were nothing special. Oh well. Learning experience
Wonderful place to eat. We had a 60th birthday party Saturday night and they could not have been better. Food is amazingly good. Very friendly staff. Place was busy but they had the staff to keep everybody happy. Nice clean bathrooms with comfy changing tables for the little ones. We will be back with a group again for sure!
