Think American classic diner food, plus pizza. They serve breakfast all day and they deliver. If you're eating in, you'll find a quaint small-town place where the walls are lined in 50s/60s decor. If you're in Fairfield for school, chances are you're on some kind of special diet. If you're vegan, have celiac disease, are avoiding dairy, etc., this isn't the best option available to you in Fairfield. But if you're like me and you don't care and you just want a burger sometimes, George's isn't a bad choice. I order from them all the time and have only once had an issue, in which they double entered my card number over the phone and then told me it was declined when in fact the money had been charged, and they resolved it for me the next day. I grew up on diner food (I know: gross. Sue me.) and the burgers are really decent. My typical order is a cheeseburger with fries, a soda, and a cup of soft-serve ice cream which I then make into a float. Why they don't just sell floats is beyond me. The house chicken strips and the fried fish are also pretty good. I ordered an omelet once, and it was just a little too big on the American cheese (I think) for my taste. The pizza is what you expect from a local place - hand tossed, with very stringy cheese. Pro-tip: it's not a salad kind of place, so the side salad is basically lettuce with cheese, tomatoes, and a packet of dressing. You might as well go the extra step and just order a cheeseburger.

During my 2013-2014 semester of school I'd eat here to get my fill of American food and meat since my school is all vegetarian. I'd order food Togo and it'd come within 30-40 mins which isn't bad either. Eating there is your typical mom and pop American restaurant with mostly obese people getting their fill. It is Iowa mind you, I noticed the restaurant recently got updated and decided to eat there a week ago since I've taken a 6 month hiatus from the place, I got a burger and fries which were alright until...i found hair in my food. That's right people hair! For a second I thought it was my hair but with closer inspection I noticed it was curly! Which i have no curly hair, so the chef must've dropped in there. After discovering that I was disgusted and felt sick, and decided not to eat anymore. I would only recommend this place if you want really cheap food and your on a budget and need to survive. After that experience, I've had enough of George's and plan to eat else where in town.

No. Smells like a bathroom, don't sit by the bathroom. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Except salt.

Tonight I ordered a house chicken strips meal. It was very good. I paid around $10.00 and there's enough food for two meals. In my opinion it's the best chicken I've had in Fairfield.

Mediocre small town food. Way too familyified for my tastes. They banned my super cool friend for life cause his friend brought in food from another restaurant. Gasp! Oh no! it's the end of the world! Fucking hick freaks.
