I'd like to start by saying the food was good. Cooked well, flavorful, and just like any other Famous Dave's. That is where my compliments end. We came in at around 3:30 in the afternoon, not incredibly busy. We were not given silverware. The table cloth was dirty and the paper towel roll was completely empty. This may have changed, but I thought that they always brought cornbread muffins to the table, we did not get anything. When our server brought our drinks she brought a full sized, full to the top, water for our 3yo son, and none of us got straws (we have a family of 5). Then, after we had placed our orders, my husband over heard a lady 2 tables over mention to her waitress (our waitress as well) that she had been over charged on her bill. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time, it was cooked well and tasted good, however, even though we requested butter for our corn bread we never got any. We had to ask repeatedly for refills on our drinks. Then when we received the bill after our waitress jad taken our card it was $5 more than the original bill she gave us. When asked why she told us she accidentally entered extra drinks. The waitresses standing near by said, "They noticed the bill." Some small things can be excused, but changing a bill amount for two tables in a row is ridiculous. We will not be going back and will be keeping a very close eye on our bank statements.

First the good. Lot's of parking. The place is clean and easy to get in and out of. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We got the ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. The ribs were above average in taste. The pulled pork was fantastic! The chicken was pretty good but it came in last of the three dishes. The cost was OK for the food, though we got a lot more ribs at other rib specialty places we have gone too. Now the downside. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that we had to answer many inquiries to many people throughout our dinner. It became too much after awhile and we had to turn them off. The ribs were above average in taste and the cost was as much as we paid for a full slab at nationally known places; we only had the half slab. Personally I love to have a couple cold beers with my ribs but get ready to take out a small loan for a simple Bud Light. This is not a cheap place when you begin adding up the shorted meat and the expensive cheap beer.

Delicious food all around. Our server Ashley was fantastic and fantastically gorgeous. Had the burnt ends and the ribs n ribs. We also had the shrimp on a stick. The price for the shrimp was high but it was excellent.

After waiting for over an hour and 10 minutes tonight we finally left. The manager told us he would bring new soup since the soup they had served was cold. 10 minutes later he hadn't even brought anything. Had to ask for drinks repeatedly and remind the server to bring the soup, which she then did but it was cold. We used to enjoy coming here but service has really gone down hill and we won't be returning. Don't expect it to stay in business long, place was deserted tonight and we saw the manager apologize to several tables. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Chronically bad take out service. Every time I have ordered out with them (3 to be exact), they quote a time and then don't meet it. It's even at the point where this last time I gave them an extra 10 minutes before going in because I knew what to expect. I get inside, there is a customer there to pickup her food, then they go in the back to get it. They come out 3 minutes later with no food and tell her it's not ready. The next person in line gets told their food isn't ready yet either. In the meantime, the first customer's food is ready and the person behind the counter opens the cartons to show the customer what was prepared, it was wrong, customer now has to go wait in the bar. I get up there, 35 minutes after placing my order, 10 minutes longer than they had said over the phone, and I tell her my name and she goes in the back. She comes out and says, "that will be 25 minutes" and I said no way. Clearly they either lost my order, or are just completely incompetent (most likely) at taking orders to go. Meanwihle my wife and child are sitting in the car. 10 minutes later they finally get my order out. They weren't even busy at the time. If this had been the first time it's one thing, but holy crap, is it that hard to figure out? Other restaurants on the planet have managed to get this down. If it will take you 45 minutes to make it, then tell me to come in 45 minutes!

Hands down the best wings in town! Hooters? Forgeta'boutit. Iv'e been going to Famous Dave's since I was a little guy. At that time we didn't have one In Town so the family would travel just to go pig out, I say we were dedicated haha. Prices are a little expensive but reasonable. "Pay cheap, get cheap food" I always say.

Finger lickin' good BBQ. I think the sign of a good BBQ place is when you are licking the sauce off your fingers... I do enjoy all of Famous Dave's BBQ sauces, but the Rich and Sassy is my favourite. I like my sauce with a hint of sweetness and a hint of spiciness... just to leave you with a reminder on your tongue. The ribs are good, although a few times they have been a little tough rather than fall off the bone. I do think that their ribs are rather pricey compared to other BBQ restaurants. The chopped pork is really delicious. Always tender, always juicy and really good with the Rich and Sassy sauce. As for sides, I always get the fries... so delicious and crispy on the outside, but soft and tender on the inside and the corn on the cob... only once was it overdone. And the cornbread is delicious as well. The service is usually pretty good, in fact I don't remember ever having a bad experience there and don't think we've ever had to wait for a table either. And make sure you go when you're hungry... I always leave absolutely stuffed.

Very good service this time. Food was great. Had the nachos as well. They don't tell you but they come with lettuce and sour cream on them. They are okay.

Great service. The ribs can't be beat. The only problem is it's really heavy so portion control is essential.

have ordered ribs here many times. have gotten good ribs one out of 5 times. the 4 tough times outweigh the one good time. i think the way they win being #1 is the sauce. i will continue to buy the sauce but will leave the ribs there. love the atmosphere. may have to try other foods. also had to wait a superlong time for carryout and was only offered a different side when i found that the long wait was due to the corn not being ready. had i known that sooner, i would have picked something else right away and been home way sooner with hot ribs. love the music and atmosphere and sauce and the baked beans.

I had lunch in here and I thought the lunch specials were great and with perfect portions. I love some sweet ice T and ribs with fries combined with all the sauces they have available. Now, I have had better BBQ, so hence the reason why this is not 5 starts, but good try Famous Dave.

I'm all for famous daves and that, but there are so many other local BBQ joints that are much better. (Circle Tap, Jim's Rib Haven for example) Don't waste your time on fast food chain restaurants, experience the town and get something good and unique!!

Every time I'm back in Davenport visiting family, I make it a point to eat here. Their ribs are quite delicious. Although, they dont have the at home feeling like Jim's Rib Haven, it's a pretty good place to eat for a cookie cutter rib joint. Service is always friendly and on time. Decor is nice, but not memorable. Dave's is a bit expensive though - $21.00 for a full rack of ribs? Seriously? Last I checked Iowa was a pig state. Add in the sides, and the total meal will lighten the wallet. Still, I would say it's worth it. Too bad this franchise isnt in the southern states.

This is the best BBQ in the QC. I know its a national chain, but it plays to all the stereotypical things I like. Blues music, BBQ, and southern front porch atmosphere. I also think they have the best ribs in town (I have had Jim's). Recommend : The all American feast, 4 people and all the good stuff, with Texas brisket. Now the rest of this is more about why people here don't know BBQ. They just like boiled meat and BBQ sauce. One of the places people say to get good ribs is the circle tap. Its boiled ribs place in an oven to dry then out. You NEVER boil any BBQ. That is called soup. Dave's might boil them, but at least it doesn't taste like it. Jims is ok. I think they have gotten lazy though. In general just because it has BBQ sauce on it doesn't make it BBQ. (AKA the McRib, BBQ Pizza, Etc)

Not really worth going to since Jim's Rib Haven is right across the river in Rock Island and East Moline. The Circle Tap is much better aswell.

I wish we had one of these where I live. I love the ribs here, they are absolutely delectable. The best......Even the cornbread is awesome! One of my favorite places, nice staff and decor. Pretty much everything I've tried has been good. A+++

A little pricey for BBQ, but if your in the mood it's a good place to stop. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because my chicken is better, and I really don't care for their beef brisket.

Listen, I know it's a barbeque chain, but it doesn't feel like one and I've never gotten a bad meal at Famous Dave's. The ribs are fantastic as are all the rest of the BBQ dishes (brisket, chopped pork, etc.). Prices are reasonable. Even my mom likes the place, and she's one of the pickiest eaters I know. The restaurant area is pretty cool, tons of old advertisements and signs hang on the walls, that plus the friendly wait staff provide a good atmosphere.

Famous Dave's would be an option only if I were banned from Jim's Rib Haven.

I'm a huge rib fan (well, maybe I should re-phrase that - I'm a huge fan of ribs....although I probably will be a huge rib fan if I start eating them as much as I'd like to). That being said, Famous Dave's has, at times, served some of the best ribs I've ever eaten. I say "at times," because, just as with every other damn rib joint I've ever eaten at, they're somewhat inconsistent (which is why I gave them 3 stars, rather than 4). When they're good, they're REALLY good, but I've definitely had some bad racks of ribs here. Unfortunately, the past few times I've had them, they leaned more towards bad than good. I don't know if it was just a bad string of luck on my / their part, but at $20 a pop for a full rack, I can definitely say that getting a not-that-great rack of ribs on a few consecutive visits definitely makes you wary to plunk down that much cash again in the future, hoping they'll be decent. I'm sticking with them, but I'd say if the next rack I get there sucks, then I'll probably be taking my business elsewhere (at least for ribs). One small side note: during an anniversary promotion a year or two ago, they had $11 racks of ribs, which was AWESOME! I bought 2 or 3, I think. Unfortunately, that type of thing only comes around, well, once so far that I know of. I haven't had too many other entrees there, but those that I have had have been pretty good. The pulled pork is very tasty. The appetizers I've had are hit and miss. The chicken wings were kind of gross, but they may have just not been my style. They have some kind of salmon dip that is pretty ok, but in fairness, I'm not a big fan of fish. I have friends who *do* like fish, and they loved it. As mentioned in a previous review, the 6 bottles of sauce on the table is wonderful. I'm a big saucer (meaning I like to sauce things, not that I'm a large version of a small dish), so I only wish more restaurants had such a plethora of liquid heaven to choose from. The decor and music I could do without, but then again my tastes lean far from "country." I don't go there for what's on the walls or the stereo, though. Service has always been great. They even call you Famous Whatever-Your-Name-Is if they find out your name (like if you're paying with credit card), which is annoying, but hey, at least they try. Overall, I'd say this place is good, but maybe used to be a little better than it is now. Hopefully they're not going downhill...

Famous Dave's is pretty good. They have great sweet tea and their waitresses are always very pleasant. The atmosphere is very cute. Stick to the meat products though because their salads are DISGUSTING!!! My mom and I ordered a salad there before and the lettuce was old and brown. The veggies tasted like they had been sitting out for a long time and the dressing was gross. I've had their lemon pepper chicken though and that is VERY good. Just stick to the meat and you'll be happy.

It wasn't the best BBQ I've ever had, but it was good grubbing. I've never had Famous Dave's before, eventhough it's a chain. It's inline with other BBQ chains.

I'll admit it - I'm a sucker for Famous Dave's. Always have been. My mouth starts to water whenever I get within a country mile of the place. If you live in eastern Iowa, brother, it's a godsend. I'm most partial to the pulled pork sandwiches, although the rib tip platter is fantastic, too. Gotta love the six! bottles of sauce on each table (Georgia Mustard's my fave). I also love the countrified decor - the blues on the stereo set a perfect vibe. Hey, I know it's a schtick, but it works for me. Be sure to order the sandwiches "naked" if you prefer to sauce 'em yourself (or better yet, if you prefer to taste that incredible smoked flavor!)
