Their sandwiches are absolutely delicious. My favorite is the turkey sub. It might be more expensive compared to the other places, but you get so much more food for the buck at Capriotti's. I wish they would open more locations in Iowa - especially in Dubuque.

I don't often do five star reviews - I'm like that pain in the butt teacher who never gives out A+'s b/c really is anyone ever perfect? But Capriotti's was as good as a sandwich place can get. I had the Capistrami - cold. I was trying to recreate an East Coast type sandwich that I love love love. It was delicious. The medium was more food then any sane person should consume in one sitting. Full disclosure - I ate the whole thing. I took one for the team. The pastrami was excellent quality, the bread was doughy, chewy and soft - what a sub roll should be. This East coast gal has found her holy grail of sandwich shops. The price was high, but fair. My 12" was $10 including tax. Next time I will probably just go with a small - oh and save your reciept and do the survey to save $3 on your next meal. Finally the service was excellent. I hope Capriotti's thrives. I was there on a weeknight, at prime dinner time, and there were only two other folks inside. I'm hoping that doesn't continue as this is a top notch sandwich place. I can't wait to go back and try their version of a cheesesteak.

Great quick sandwich shop! We love the chicken cheese steak (with hot peppers, mayo, and lettuce) and the capistrami. They are delicious and a must try! Great chain to give in the QCA.

This place is awesome. The staff is always nice and easy to deal with. I've had several of their sandwiches and the 'Bobby' is by far the best. This place has some dank food.

Outstanding. I got the Italian. The meat was premium. Salami and Capicola are the best in town. The hot peppers give it a heck of a kick. My wife got the cheesesteak. Haven't had one that good since Philly. The Bobby was outstanding. A thanksgiving feast. Loved it. Keep up the good work, Caps. Let's get one on the IL side.

Tried this place out a few weeks ago, and I was really hyped up for a good hot pastrami sandwich. However their style of a hot pastrami was different than what I was envisioning. Instead of mustard and rye bread, it was served with a cole slaw on the sandwich which was drenched in Russian dressing. I found the sandwich to be ok, maybe I didn't enjoy it as much because I was expecting a different thing. Besides this the place is clean, the meat was really good and fresh. I would suggest to other people to give this place a try.

After reading glowing reviews of Capriottis, and seeing the claim of being the supreme sandwich shop ,I decided to check out the place myself and was a bit disappointed by the wait for the sandwich then the mediocrity of everything besides the bread.

Man these subs are BIG! I ordered 3 smalls for 3 people and I think I could have fed 9! Really tasty. I haven't had a sub like this a while. Not for lack of places in Chicago, I mean there are a tons of places here, it is just the convenience. Meaning I don't drive in the city and there isn't a place near me. Regardless, back to capriottis. Besides being big, these are really good subs. I had the italian, my wife and a friend each had the turkey. They use actual chunks of turkey, not sliced deli meat. I asked if they had giardinera (a Chicago staple) and they look confused. One actually thought I meant marinara. But thye had sweet peepers which was great and crushed red peppers so almost giardinera. I did ask for mustard and mayo on the side, which they forgot. When i tipped someone shouted "beer money!" which made me want to give them more haha.

I'm obsessed with this place. I make sure to come here whenever I'm in the quad cities! Great sandwiches, I love the turkey.

Had a Philly cheese steak there. The onions and sweet peppers were tasty. The bread was a softer type and ok. Fresh. The steak though could have been a little better. The quality of the steak was just ok.

Disappointed in the turkey - used to those I make with leftovers. Mixing chopped everything in a mis-mash is definitely not the way to make a turkey, dressing and cranberry sandwich. It does however require less of everything.

This was our first time at capriottis. Won't be coming back. If you like dry wrung out meat with no flavor, this is the place for you. Blanda blanda. Went home and added more mayo and i was still having a hard time choking it down. Tried the turkey and tried the beef sandwiches. Both were made of real and non-processed meat... Which was a plus, but I need more flavor. Also tried the Italian and it was spicy, but that's all you could taste...no flavor of cheese or meat and the bread was flavorless. Super disappointing for what we paid. But we won't be giving it another shot. Cardboard. You've been warned.

I love this place. Great sandwiches, especially the turkey. Not pressed deli sliced turkey, but actual shredded turkey. Fresh food, served quickly, and friendly service. The Capastrami sandwich (pastrami, coleslaw, Russian dressing and provolone) is also delish. Juicy and flavorful, messy in a fantastic way. Big sandwiches, I can't finish a small (but I love the leftovers!) and higher prices than most fast food but totally, totally worth it.

The employees were very helpful and the sandwiches are very unique. I tried the Bobbie, which wasn't bad, but I didn't like it as much as other reviewers. The turkey was a little bit dry - I was also surprised that it was cold. The bread was outstanding. I'm definitely going back, but the Bobbie won't be on the menu.

Ordered a turkey sub. Was basically a lettuce sandwich.

I often order the chicken cheesesteak or regular cheesesteak, both of which are made from quality meats, cheeses and bread. All of their ingredients are fresh! The service is fantastic. The only reason for 4 stars is the meatball isn't as flavorsome as I had hoped but other than that, this place is very good.
