My sister and I stopped in here for coffee one afternoon, and I fell in love! They have you usual coffee/latte/espresso/etc. drinks. But then...there are all different kinds of slow brews to choose from (I believe 5 or 7 different kinds). Wow!! As a coffee lover, this is my kind of place. I ended up just getting a caramel macchiato...but that had to be the BEST macchiato I have ever had. It tasted like melted ice cream. Yum. They had some Frank Sinatra playing in the background, and some places to sit and chat or work. The people working there were super nice, drinks came out fast, and everything was reasonably priced. I just wish they were in Chicago!

Fantastic little spot in Clinton. We were in from Atlanta visiting our daughter. I had the LA Club Panini and my husband had the Thai Chicken Panini. Everything was fresh and fantastic. Great 'happy' service too. A+

I was recently in Clinton for work, and I needed access to WiFi... When I searched for such places on Yelp, I found Caffe 392. This place is a hidden gem. I walked in, and completely forgot that I was in Eastern Iowa. They make their own caramel, fresh daily, so I decided on the Salted Caramel Latte with soy. In addition, they had some bakery items, and I enjoyed one of the best blueberry muffins I've ever had. The drink, albeit lukewarm, was delicious. As for the WiFi, it was free and sufficiently fast. The only problem was that I had a hard time hearing my phone conference over the music playing... But that's a small gripe. Overall, this is a great spot.

A fantastic little gem. Get the bacon and gouda sandwich! Best coffee in the Midwest.

Outstanding indépendant business. Truly outstanding well managed entrepreneurs. We really need about one hundred store and building owners like this. They make fine money and improved a business that you now notice when you drive past!!! Stop and find out why this is a hidden gem!!!

Salted carmel latte is a must! I never thought I would find such an amazing coffee shop in Clinton. I honestly have to say they have the best lattes and caps I've ever had in my life. I'm not from Clinton and I've had plenty of coffee all over this country including Seattle. I would never guess the best coffee ever was in Clinton, IA. So far the only food I've had is the veggie breakfast burrito and it was awesome. They have free wifi and a bar to sit it that has a long line of outlets. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great food and great customer service. You will not be disappointed!

I have been visiting family in Clinton a few times a year for several years now, and this is the first place that I've truly been impressed with. The cafe itself has a great atmosphere and the coffee is done well! I had a macchiato and it was so well balanced and smooth. We also ordered a few breakfast food items and they were the best things I've eaten in Clinton. The avocado, egg, and feta breakfast wrap and the veggie Gouda sandwich were so flavorful and fresh. We will definitely be back!

Super cute place in Clinton! I love a good local coffee shop. Pastries, clean, very attentive staff. And coffee! Friendly and helpful baristas, fun atmosphere, and relaxing decor with local art.

This is THE place to go if you are serious about your coffee! Owners Jay and Jenna know your name and are happy to see you every time you drop by. The home made baked goods and awesome lunch menu are a bonus. This coffee shop would shine in NYC, Chicago, or LA... I am so happy it's in Clinton.

Was in Clinton for business and a breakfast place by the name of Nora's was recommended to me by a woman at Sweetheart Bakery. When I arrived ,Nora's was closed and so happy it was because I went next door to the 392 Caffe and will come back here every time I am in town. Coffee was delicious and the Gouda breakfast sandwich was just as tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Light and fluffy and it came on really thin grilled bread which is great for people who don't like eating a lot of carbs. Flavor was exceptional. Employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about their product. They knew just about every person that came in by name. See you all in a few months. Great job!!!!

We came up to Clinton (from Chicago) for one day to get married! We went to 392 cafe because it seemed to be the freshest, best menu in town and we were correct. The food is terrific and fresh and portion sizes are great. The owners and staff are charming, engaging, friendly and accommodating. 392 is a lot of food options - not just coffee and pastries. They have wonderful sandwiches, egg dishes, yogurt parfaits - and dynamite chicken salad. The best food in Clinton County!

My dad and I were looking for a coffee shop about a year ago when we were visiting family in a nearby town in IL. We happened to find this place on Yelp and I'm so glad we did! A little about us, my dad and I live in the Twin Cities where both national chains and local roasters are numerous. Needless to say we're a bit picky when it comes to coffee. This Caffe doesn't disappoint. Coffee is awesome at a reasonable price especially considering you can get free refills if you're in the caffe (something rare at our local roasters here in the Cities). The bakery items are simply incredible. They're made from scratch in house each morning. Although I enjoy bakery items from a place like Starbucks, there's definitely a noticeable difference with items made daily from scratch. They do have other lunch type items (sandwiches, wraps etc). Never tried any of them in addition to their other coffee drinks but I'm sure they're great. Finally the owners are simply incredible people. It's evident they're very hard workers. They are extremely engaging and friendly. My dad has only been there like 2 or three times and a year later when we're back they remembered us by name, where we were from, and what we did. They're like this with all their customers and have a very loyal following. The only thing I would say that is a little annoying is the music tends to be a little loud and not my personal taste for a coffee shop. I tend to like a light music or jazz turned on low. Not a huge issue for me as I bring ear plugs, but may be an issue for others. In summary if you want a big city coffee shop experience in a small town, go here.

When I walked into this place I was floored. It was like a piece of San Francisco in the middle of Iowa. I originally grew up in Clinton and have not seen anything like this in a long time. It's refreshingly modern and a relaxed environment. I enjoyed the local artists for sale along the wall. I was sad I didn't check this place out sooner because I want to try the sandwich and smoothies. The only bad thing I have to say was my choice in the banana bread. I had it warmed up but when I got it, it was very dry like it was toasted. And while the fatty inside me loved the idea of getting 2 slices of banana bread, I think one would have been sufficient. Great experience overall and can't wait to try it again when I visit!

Sitting in a California Starbucks, wishing I was back in my hometown of Clinton Iowa, with my buddies at Caffe 392, sippin a most excellent iced mocha, even though it is 72 degrees on a February morning. Sigh.

Great coffee shop that I wouldn't have expected in Clinton. Love the art in my latte and music is perfect. Decor fits very well with what you expect to see in a coffee shop and i love their espresso machine. Seating is a bit packed together, but definitely a place to visit again!

Wonderful to see a coffee shop in Clinton. Coffee is flown in from LA, so not a local roast. Drinks vary based on barista. More about quantity over quality.

392 is a very unique addition to Clinton and fills the gap for a good, local coffee shop. It has a great atmosphere and menu. It is exciting to see them offer dairy alternatives (soy and almond) as well as gluten free snacks sourced locally. We visit 392 every time we are back visiting family.

I love, love, love this place!!!!! When traveling through Clinton, we stumbled across it while looking for a cup of coffee. It was pure blind luck that took us there the first time, but now when traveling in the area, we intentionally seek it out. 392 Caffe is a hip, fun place to visit and we always leave with a great treat and a big smile. The staff is totally cool and welcoming. This reflects in the attitudes of the customers who all are engaged and having fun. If I lived in Clinton, I would probably spend too much time hanging out there.

The service and quality of products speak for themselves! Go here if you are ever in Clinton, IA or better yet go here if you live in Clinton, IA. Starbucks is so overrated!!! 392 is the place to go!

A very refreshing addition to Clinton's business district. This place is comparable to any coffee shop or bistro one would find while walking through Lincoln Park or Lake View neighborhoods in Chicago. In addition to standard coffee options, they offer fresh fruit smoothies, tasty sandwiches, and FREE internet. This is a perfect place to get out of the house and get some holiday or thank yous written or study. Rain or shine, this a cozy lil' nook that is worth checking out!

Awesome lunch - great staff - good value for your money. I will definitely keep this on the list for when I am in the area. The only issue? The music will make you want to punch someone in the face. Maybe I'm just too old, but it sure seemed too loud. And too club-ish. Shouldn't a coffee café be more hipster?

My wife & I just moved to Clinton a few months ago and are so glad to have found a place like 392. They know so much about coffee and have such a good breakfast/lunch menu. Their baked goods are also dynamite. Muffins, cookies, & the most creative, delicious cupcakes. If you really need a caffeine kick, ask about the Rocket Fuel. That'll get your day going! Great food. Incredible coffee. Even better people. Definitely check this place out!

Amazing coffee! The quality is even better than your run of the mill Starbucks. They have sandwiches, soups, and baked goods that are equally delicious and pair well with their drinks. Free wifi and plenty of outlets. One of the best things to happen to Clinton.
