I've been going to Waterfront Deli since I was a kid. In 15 years of eating there I've never once been disappointed. If that's not reliable food, I don't know what is. I almost always get the same thing: turkey with cheddar and mayo on sourdough. It sounds boring, but this is the perfect type of sandwich to get at the Waterfront: something simple. They do the basics exceedingly well. Their sourdough bread is awesome, I have dreams about it sometimes. Go for the American potato salad, too -- it's the best.

Never again, soup was cold, limited bread offerings so I went for a salad to be told they're out of Italian dressing. It was between hot oil or six other fattening choices. If your going to have the word delicatessen in your name then you need to be at least a step up from a subway that was across the parking lot.

Excellent food! Some of the best soup and sandwiches around. Everything is fresh and homemade!

Their relocation has not been a positive one. Where before the atmosphere was quirky, it is now industrial and dulll, lighter, but dull. Looks like a cheap fast food place now. I quit eating what used to be good soup because they have joined the trend of spicing everything up. Too often they don't have a non-spicey alternative. "It's only slightly splicey." Is too hot for someone who appreaciates flavor over heat. Adding kick is an easy way of avoiding making it tasty. Some of us can't / don't want any hot spice. Used to go in here couple of times a week. Won't go there any more. The sandwhiches are ok to good. But, the price is high for just a sandwhich in a sterile atmoshere.

My wife always gets food from this restaurant to go. I love the sandwiches and the 1/4 lb hotdogs. Pleasant staff and decent menu selection.

This is not and average deli. This is not the place you go if you want a quick cheap deli sandwich. This place has a following that can not be denied. To understand this, stop in, sit down relax. Wait for your food to come up. Taste everything, that's what its all about here. No the decor wont wow you, or the price and maybe the menu looks like an average street corner deli. You will be pleasantly surprised to find out its not your average deli. Break from the norm and try a Cardiac. Its not big bold flavors that smack you in the mouth. Its well blended subtle flavors that fit together so well you want to order one to go right then and there. I try to eat there one time a week but I'd make it 3 times a week if I could.

I like the new location . Seams more cheerful . Really like the cardiac, can not go wrong. Nice selection of soups, not your ordinary choices.

I Always get the cardiac and American potato salad. It's a Turkey salad sandwich with sprouts and a tomato. Wonderful bread.

Above average samwitches. They brag about their homemade bread. I do not find them amazing. Unique taste. You love or ok this place. Pretty solid establishment, but nothing that puts it above the chains. Just because you are in a weird building doesn't make the food better. BTW I gave it 4 stars you pricks.

Really tasty sandwiches, like you would make at home if you took the time. And speaking if time, super fast service. The potato salad is hit or miss, but the soups are always reliably delicious.

Ok update on the meal I splurged for my friend & myself. Their sandwich was so-so (they too had never eaten there and also curious and excited to try something new to eat). The dessert, $3.50 for a "Rhubarb Crisp", it was neither crispy, it was a blob of SLOP on a tiny little plate, approx. maybe 4 tablespoons of rhubarb that was sour beyond belief. So sour where you puckered eating it. Presentation of any food including desserts, "the eye eats the food first", is paramount. This was not worth even $1.00 if that. Honestly do the people that run this "deli" not taste test their food and know what it tastes like? The meat in their sandwich was paper thin and lacking which also included alfalfa sprouts and "something green(other than the lettuce" they couldn't figure out what it was as it wasn't listed in the description of the sandwich ingredients. Their sandwich also included more cheese than meat. They need a real head cook or chef in this place, especially for the prices they command. Perhaps the food will actually taste like something and improve. Sorry I cannot give my blessing to eat at this place. Go to a real deli, you will realize how wonderful sandwiches can taste. Next best thing in a small town as this, Hungry Hobo where the meat is actually there, in a good quantity (not paper thin and tasteless). And where you won't have to get out your credit card for a simple lunch of sandwiches! No I don't work for HH either. I simply state the facts of what I encountered. Please please go back to the drawing board and do some tastings of your own food and see if you're impressed with it. We weren't and I was embarrassed surprising my friend with lunch which I assumed would be wonderful. It was not. With some major effort it could possibly be really good!

I didn't like it because it took forever to get our food (they were just subs, how hard is it!) and because I did not think the food was anything special. Nor is the menu very big and/or interesting. I think the restaurant is very basic and pretty 'vanilla', if you will. Nothing I will go out of my way for.

Love the cardiac sandwich. Go crazy and get the egg salad for your side. Delicious! Also check out the art on the walls! They are for sale. Three of the framed pieces are done by Kaemmer Photography ...aka me!

The Waterfront Deli serves tasty sandwiches on bread they bake themselves ($5-$6) plus freshly-prepared salads ($3.50-$6). Good reliable food, if unspectacular.
