Had a #2, the roast beef. Sandwich was amazing. I could tell it was prepared right then with all fresh ingredients. Staff was friendly and courteous. I'll definitely return.

Was in Boone for a 4-day event with my coworkers. Needed food "fast" so I ordered from here online. I got a call soon after, which seemed more like a scolding than a nice update, that they have to get more bread from another store and it will be ready in 30 minutes. So I gave them 45 minutes and arrived to not even have a single sandwich made. Again, scolded that if I am placing an order that big, I should have placed it by 9am in order to get it faster. I responded back to what seemed to be the manager that I didn't expect to order from you guys but I did because of the fast service. An hour and ten minutes after placing my order, I walked out of the shop with my sandwiches and without any "Thanks for ordering from us" or "Sorry about the wait." Next time I'm in town, I will go anywhere but here and not because I waited so long but because of the level of respect given... There are other JJ in town. Go there.

Yes. They are fast. That's about it. Food is poor quality, the actual restaurant is set to near-freezing degrees and everything that makes the sandwich a sandwich is subp-par from bread to meats, cheeses and condiments. For what we pay for, I'd rather go spend a little more time at the Quizno's across the street.

So I was visiting in Ames with family to attend a wedding, and for the lunch before the wedding, as we were all getting ready, we decided to have sandwiches delivered from the Jimmy John's nearby (we were at the Hilton Garden Inn, a one-minute drive), as Jimmy John's sandwiches were highly recommended by my sister-in-law. 15 minutes after when we were supposed to get the sandwiches, we had still not received them. We called and they told us that the delivery guy had just left. After another 10-15 minutes (remember, the Jimmy John's is literally a one-minute drive from our hotel), it was starting to get tight to be at the church in time. We called again, and again they told us that the guy had just left. Then they told us that they had run out of bread and had to bake more, hence the delay. I appreciate fresh bread but I appreciate honesty even more. They should have told us from the get-go that they were out of bread. And especially they should have not told us that the guy had just left the first time (incompetence or lie? I'm not sure). To top it off when we told them that they were putting us in a difficult situation they didn't even apologize. They just told us that they can't make bread any faster. And when they finally delivered the sandwiches, they again didn't even apologize, and explained --rudely-- again that they can't make bread faster. The sandwiches were decent BTW. We ate them in a mad rush and dashed off to the church (made it barely in time). But based on this one experience, I wouldn't order again from them, especially since Jimmy John's has other locations in Ames.
