Employees are very warm hearted people. I always get the Everything Bagel toasted with JalapeÃ±o cream cheese! They put just the right amount of cream cheese on it; however, they need to spread it on both halves and not just one. They even sell bagels and cream cheese to take home too. I am not a coffee drinker, but their coffee does smell good. Great deals on Wednesdays $5.99/dozen and they have free WiFi.

I have been going to Bruegger's since way back when Taraccino Coffee was next door. I love the bagels - nothing like freshly boiled and baked, the way they should be. I love that they serve breakfast all day, because my favorite is the bacon, egg, and cheese on a rosemary olive-oil bagel. The Herby Turkey and Turkey Chipotle Club are always good for lunch. Tried the Thai Peanut Chicken once - not too bad. I like to go after I get off work (I'm a baker myself and get off early enough to make it in). I never paid attention to the hours though and worked late one day and was suprised to find it closed at 3 o'clock.

First time here for breakfast on Sunday. I had the salmon and capers on rosemary bagel. It was good but too much cream cheese and not enough salmon. Price was alright, they had good cranberry juice in bottles. Will try lunch sometime. Employees were very nice and had good suggestions!

Your best choice for authentic bagels in Ames. There are many bakery options in Ames that can get you a bagel. This is the only one I have found so far that does it right. If you are looking for the real-deal crunchy exterior, chewy interior bagels that can only be done from boiling-then-baking a bagel then this is the only place in town that can placate your craving. 20+ daily selections to choose from, you can put together a to-go pack of a bakers dozen and two cream cheeses for schmearing for under $15.

Their bagels are good. The cream cheese is delicious. The people working are not good. as they are not welcoming. I don't care to much about it. I hate the people over there being messy. I feel there are many hidden charges or they don't enter it correctly. as I usually order same & I have observed they have charged me differently each time.

Bagels are always great as always but pales in comparison to the brueggers in Cedar Rapids next to my house. Lukewarm soup, twice... Spaetzle both times, and same situation for the coffee. It took the guy behind the counter about 8 minutes to get my order together as well, which isn't very reasonable for two people standing behind the counter and no line. All of the tables had some sort of garbage on them so I sat at the bar, couldn't empty my tray as both trashes were full. I guess what I'm saying is go there for the bagels but don't expect anything more than that and you won't be disappointed

This Bruegger's is ALWAYS really clean. I respect that a lot. The food is good, the service is great, and the prices aren't shabby at all. The staff is also usually smiling. I get the feeling that those working there actually enjoy working there. The decor is nice as well.
