Their bentos are so tempting hahaha!!! I love bentos... Anyway I've come here a few times for lunch between work. I normally order takeout and bring it back to work to enjoy. Apparently you can choose between a mini and regular size combination plate which I never have heard of before in places similar to this one. I need to go back and double check that. But when I was last there I ordered a spicy pork and mochiko chicken combo. Delicious haha. The mochiko chicken was not in the style I like but it was tasty. The spicy pork was nothing different but still tasty. I also love how they have those Japanese veggies as a a veggie option. I'm so horrible though, I keep forgetting what they are called. I believe it's some type of root vegetable. The taste is interesting to me, sorry I'm not too sure how to explain it. Anyway I definitely love going there. Oh!!! They also serve sushi. I haven't bought their sushi yet, but I also love this place because on how they have so many options to make you full and happy hehe.
This place is located in the food court next to Don Quixote. It has a Korean name, but the food is mainly Japanese. They have sushi and plate lunches with vegetable side selections. They also have some soup-based items like udon. I really like the Japanese vegetables because they are healthier than most plate lunch sides at other places. They have things like lightly seasoned cooked broccoli, lotus root slices, flavored daikon strips, etc. I like to get the mixed plate with at least one of the selections being the furikake chicken. They have lots of fish selections and the usual plate lunch selections like chicken katsu and bbq beef. They have pre-made bentos near the cash register as well, with all kinds of things in them like musubis, fried noodles, sushi, fish, etc. They become discounted in the afternoon. These are just ok...I'd rather get the plates, which are fresh and delicious! The prices are about average for plate lunches. They are around $9 a plate I think. Sure, the Chinese food place is a lot cheaper and the Korean place gives more food, but I like this place for a change of pace, and it feels healthier too.
The best chicken katsu that i've tried. Nice, thick, and crispy!! I think they marinate the chicken before (panko)battering it, a light somewhat teri taste....sooo good!!! The other favorite of mine is their chicken katsu donburi! Big portions!

This place is like my second home, the staff is so nice and since I go almost everyday, they know my name and they also know my order. The coffee is very good, very flavorful and strong. They blended drinks are a special treat and are very tasty as well. The seasonal drinks are always worth a try as well. The pastries, desserts, and sandwiches are delicious, the entrees are yummy too, I especially like the pesto pasta. The salads are pretty decent. I do enjoy studying there as well, if you like study with background noise. It is good to some early, it gets pretty full when school gets out. On the weekends it is packed as well. I highly recommend this place!
I came to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf because I received a gift card that I wanted to make use of. I found easy and convenient parking out in the front. The actual shop was not crowded at all on a Friday afternoon. Only two other people were in there drinking coffee and studying on their laptops. It had a very quiet atmosphere which I really liked compared to other coffee joints. I was greeted by the girl at the register and she was very helpful. Since it was my first time, I had a lot of questions such as the size of the cups and how sweet their iced teas are. I got all the answers I wanted and decided to go with the summer special iced teas. I ordered an XL Passionfruit Iced Tea and an XL Pear Berry Iced Tea. The girl was even kind enough to offer me a stamp card, even when I was using a gift card. It only cost me just over $8 for two huge iced teas! I sampled both iced teas although I had to wait till I got home to drink one whole cup. After all, I wanted to let my mom choose which she preferred and I'd drink the other. I ended up with the passionfruit tea for myself. Both iced teas were decent. The passionfruit iced tea wasn't sweetened enough and only had a hint of passionfruit. It was good but I think I'd like it if it had a bit more passionfruit taste. On the other hand, the pear berry iced tea was too sweet. My mom liked that sweet taste but it was too overpowering in my opinion. Overall, I liked the friendly service and short wait time. However, the iced tea left something to be desired. Neither one was perfect so I'll just have to return and try out another flavor or even try their lemonade instead. For now, I'll stick to Starbucks for their passion tea with lemonade. That one beats the iced tea here hands down.
Good place to study, fast service. -outlets -AC -bathroom

Yelp 365 Challenge #102/365 (Pearl City Location) Office Christmas party with a $10 minimum on a gift? Look no further... No longer will you have to scrounge up and down the aisles at Longs or other stores such as Price Busters out of sheer desperation because you are trying to figure out what to buy that it is $10 or less. This also goes for offices that are expecting $20 minimum for gifts that you'll be exchanging. Before I go further, stop thinking about the person who will spend $20 on something that is totally unuseful or ridiculous, which you know for some odd reason or premonition that you will be the one taking it home and fuming about it on the car home that you spent it on something worthy that they are happy about while you are stuck with something...stupid. So....*trumpets blare* enters this location because it was so convenient for me to jump off the freeway to head into Pearl City because if I stop at this location. I can just drive on down the road to jump back on the freeway to drive to my office. Not only is this location perfect, it is surrounded by other eats and stores such as Daiichi Ramen and Curry (YUM), Walmart, Longs, Sam's Club Gas Pumps. Ambiance Small and quaint but not too cramped. There are few tables outside, which I wouldn't recommend to any study teams or groups that are planning on studying (too close to the main road like the Starbucks by Pearlridge / Bed Bath and Beyond). In addition, I've always loved the music selection in Starbucks. It just sets you in a groovy, relaxed mood where you just won't be bothered about anything while you are there. Service Very friendly and not pushy. Usually (in other locations or coffee places), you'll have the big, cheesy grins from the Baristas but I'm thinking this Starbucks location is striving to maintain the vision of Howard Schultz that he shared in his book, "Onward". Prices As you know, you'll pay for what you request and it's not cheap coffee, lattes, fraps, ice teas, or baked goods. The Overall Outcome I have nothing to complain about. They were quick and friendly. I got my gift card and the office person was very happy with their gift card. For me on the other hand? I received a mug... duplicate to the big mug that I NORMALLY use when I am in the mood for coffee (hmmph). From my Yelp page to your Yelp page...Merry Christmas and a Happy New Yelping :)
laid back café and nice, friendly staff :) always come here cause it's close to home and a quick stop after Walmart and other stores and food joints.
The staff here is amazing, hands down best Starbucks on the island. I go every day to Starbucks and have found a big difference in the stores. While this store is not always perfect, they are much better than kapolei, kunia, pearl city.

Food was okay. Not the best thing ever but the fun atmosphere for the kiddos makes up for it. My son had so much fun and didn't want to spend his last coin because it meant time to go. Sketch machine was a nice touch for a lasting memory.
I love this Chuck E Cheese! I am partial to the fact that my kid gets to burn off some serious energy for an ok priced fun pack but since they revamped their food choices and tastes, it's seriously improved. The pizza was far better than Little Caesars (what it used to be compared to) and wasn't too greasy either. I liked that they had options. A very clean salad bar, and had sandwich and dessert options. You can even purchase a professional birthday cake there if you need to now. Their food is reasonably priced and I like that they offer food & game packages. My kid loves it, I love it and we will be back obviously!
A good place to take the kids to wear them out. Pizza is good. Place has lots of games which all cost 1 token. Love the picture sketch machine. Leave with memories. The workers were helpful and the place was clean.

Ezogiku

Reviews:
A bowl of ramen has three main components to it: the soup, the noodles, and the toppings. The soup is simply a miso-based (water and miso), which makes it salty--stock. Flavor-wise, the soup has no endearing quality to it besides being steamy hot. The noodles are your average thinly made egg-based-flour saimin--fresh. The problem with their saimin is their placement in the bowl. The chef thought it wise to place the saimin at the very bottom of the bowl--below the toppings--where the soup settles, which further cooks the already pre-cooked saimin, resulting in its over-cooked state. The worst thing anyone can do to a noodle is over cook it and turn it to mush, negating the purpose of shaping the noodles to begin with, which is to add texture to the soup. The toppings available to the customers are very limited. I was hoping that the topping selections are as vast as a pizza topping selection. You can add chicken, charsiu--more like regular pork roast instead of Chinese charsiu--seaweed, and some others I don't recall. I give this place 3 stars because I wasn't hoping and expecting much from this place. These are over priced noodles with some fresh ingredients on top. The soup here, by no means, do not come close to a chinese restaurant's soup. However, soup is soup, I was comforted and full by the time I reached the bottom of my bowl.
I really like ezogiku's ramen, their noodles are very flavorful on their own. I had the Sapporo Miso Ramen, which had a slice of pork and a fish cake on top of the egg noodles in a miso base that was full of bean sprouts, onions, and ground up pork. I found it a bit overly salty; perhaps the ground pork was over seasoned, but the flavor was bright and refreshing, even though I was burning my tongue all the way from the immense heat that the egg noodles and broth carried with them. I came here for lunch, and apparently I guess the dining hall isn't open at lunch, just the express window at the side, which was fine by me. The cashier at the front was very nice.
Food is okay for someone craving fast food without eating from a fast food chain! Portions for take out is fair. Must try: Kimchee Fried Rice, costs $5/$6-

Great way to experience local Kohala flavor in a local setting! I had the Kahlua Pork & Cabbage (local fave...and what my mom was raised on!). We were here for a family reunion (as both my parents where born in Kohala!). The Bamboo Restaurant is the old location for the Takata Store...and I used to hear stories of this and other local landmarks. So glad to come here and celebrate my heritage.

Dave’s Hawaiian Ice Cream

The lady recalculated my order correctly and let the price drop a few bucks. I thought that was sweet. This place is an original and has a story to it. The thing I love about this place is how the flavors are uniquely made in Hawai'i. This place is themed around old hawaii and still kept to it's roots. That's what I absolutely love about places like these. THEY AREN'T LIKE THOSE MASS INDUSTRY FRANCHISES. When we went we got the banana split which came in a boat platter because we ate in. Then we got three cones, lemon custard, something with chocolate chips, and I got the kona coffee flavored ice cream. It's been a month and only now am I doing the review so bare with me on the names. The flavors were all good and were perfect for a hot muggy day just like two weekends ago when we had the tropical depression pass by. They even have water if you please. The parking here is okay. You should definitely have parking here no matter what so don't worry about it. Overall, I enjoyed this place and my GF's nephew and niece definitely loved the fact that we passed by this ice cream parlor. I recommend this place to anybody who has a sweet tooth. This place is wayyyyyyy better than baskin robbins, DQ, cold stone or other sorts like these places.
Visited this location to satisfy my dessert craving. However, my craving wasn't satisfied, and in just a little disappointed. I ordered a halo halo as they were out of kulolo ice cream, but Their halo halo had no taste. I couldn't even taste the ube ice cream. On a side note, they did have a $3 green tea two scoop deal. My son just loves green tea so that was a deal.
So we stop in for a sweet treat. The service was not bad. She was sweet but didn't give you that warm fuzzy feeling that you could truly sample to find the ice cream you really wanted. The kids were tradition and simple. Chocolate with rainbow sprinkles, vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, and mint chocolate chip all in a waffle cone. I had the ube (sweet potato). The ice cream was ok, nothing overly special. The place isn't very clean. I think where my biggest issues came was when the woman running the counter sat at the table next to us eating crackers and cheese and when a customer came in, she took her snack, set it on the counter where they cut fruit for smoothies, didn't wash her hands and served them. I have a pet peeve for being sanitary and that grossed me out. That was our last time there...

This place is one of the places I go to when I go back 2 the isles....that and Rainbows. I found this place from a friend 10+ years ago. The 5 spice chicken & any type of curry is what I get. Many people bypass this place in the food court, but once you try it u will craze 4 Thai every time u pass this mall.
EVIL JUNGLE CURRY. I have never heard of that dish until I found Thai Mixed Plate. LOL. Main things for me here are the 5 Spice Chicken, Sticky Rice, Papaya Salad, and the Thai Iced Tea. Nothing special here though, just average good thai food. I come here every once in a while, but I guess I prefer the other places in the food court. Evil. Evil Jungle. Evil Jungle Curry. (Seriously tho? Why is it called that?! LOL.)
Had the green curry. Can't help but compare it to my recent green curry at Phuket Thai. There's basically no comparison. The eggplant seemed old, the skin was hard and the inside mushy. While there was a hint of coconut milk it wasn't enough. However, for the price it was OK. For a quick plate lunch this place is a good choice.

I'm already back again?! For her birthday, mom wanted us to have a family outing and this is where she wanted to go because she saw my previous pictures and munched on the take-out i took home. She reserved for lunch at 12 PM. We arrived around 1145 and parties were already lined up! I didn't know this place was a popular spot. We waited outside for ten minutes probably and five minutes before noon the doors opened and everyone started rushing in. Lol. We were seated at a nearby booth in the bigger room and MAN, it's huge! It's my parents' first time and they were both complimenting on it, especially my dad (they even walked around a bit to get a feel of the place, ha-ha). Our waitress was really preppy and got our waters rather quickly. We were frustrating each other because everyone was choosing things for one another and my brother and I were getting fed up on what my mom wanted us to do. My mom got herself and dad the same dishes because she had a coupon. My brother got the fried shrimp and I stuck with the prime rib. As we waited, we got our bread which surprised my mom when she cut into it. I guess she assumed it would be soft to cut into but she was wrong. They enjoyed eating the bread. Soon after our dishes started to arrive. My brother called me a fatty because I ended up eating everything on my plate. This time around, I came with a empty tummy and left with a satisfied one. My prime rib was cooked medium and I had mashed potatoes and fries as my two sides. For dessert my mom got herself a birthday cookie with ice cream and the servers came up to sing to her. The cookie was baked fresh, and ate most of the ice cream on the cookie. It was moist and chewy but after a few bites I was already full! My parents really enjoyed this visit and they plan on returning. When? Who knows!
This place is slowly deteriorating; the service has become rude and slow. The service used to be punctual and kind, today was the total opposite. The taste of the food has lost its touch, it used to be delicious but now its getting too greasy and tasteless. The waitresses and cooks performance is a direct reflection of the manager. I really used to enjoy coming here, but i am going to have to take my money and time elsewhere.
Making reservations did not make a difference we still waited 20 minutes to be seated past our reservations even after we're told they're running on time. It was very busy for a Wednesday night so maybe thats why our waitress seemed burnt out, the service was alright, no one seemed to enjoy their positions there, it was one those "just being there" but we still gave a 20% tip even if the food did not taste $220, it was much better the last time we ate here. This will be our last time dining here

Yummy Korean B-B-Q

Reviews:
We were ravenous after touring Pearl Harbor and came here on a recommendation from my friend who lives in Oahu. Pros: Affordable, fast, and filling! We ate until we were full (all 5 of us) and still had a box of leftovers for dinner. Each entree comes with rice and 3 vegetables so we had lots and lots of side dishes: bean sprouts, cabbage, potatoes, kimchi, sweet corn, sweet potato noodles (japchae). Con: We didn't realize it was built into the Don Quijote shopping center and had trouble finding it, and almost drove away to find a different lunch option. Luckily they answered our phone call and directed us to the food court. Best part of our meal: the bulgogi! delicious authentic Korean BBQ beef. The barbecue chicken was also very flavorful and tender, not too dry!
Ordered bi bim kook soo!! PHONE order so I'm not waiting in the long lunch hour line! Prices are alright
I love yummy BBQ but was not a fan of this location. Food tasted kind of blah and the location dirty.
