UPDATE ======================= UGGHHH! This location just gets WORSE AND WORSE, we came around at about 10:45pm one night, we had no place else to meet up and talk so decided on this 24 hour location. We ordered and sat down but as we were waiting for our food the manager started locking the doors to the room, we asked her what she was doing and she said that they were understaffed for the night and had to close the dining room down early. 1. Why didn't you schedule enough staff to run the restaurant? This is a fully staffed location. 2.You are a 24 HOUR location, you can't just arbitrarily shut down with no notice when you feel like it. 3.We received NO notice of this when we came in and NO notice of this when we ordered which kind of indicates that even your STAFF was unaware of this. 4.There were no signs posted on the doors or windows indicating special hours when we came in. So we stayed and ate anyway because we didn't have a choice in the matter, we had already ordered our food "for here" and it was served up un-bagged on trays anyway, plus as I mentioned we had no where else to go. As we were leaving we noticed a sign on the door that had been put up while we were already inside which said something like. "Our valued customers we are sorry to inform you that we will be closing our dining room from TONIGHT to 4am, sorry for the inconvenience." 1.This was put up WHILE we were already eating, we saw her stick it on the door before she came and spoke to us. 2. "TONIGHT" is not a measurement of TIME, that's not an HOUR, that is so ambiguous it could mean anywhere after 5pm. If you close at 10:45pm on Monday it doesn't matter because I can come back at 9 on Tuesday and you could be closed anyway with that same sign. We only have 2 24 hour places in Mililani, it might as well be 1 with these practices. =========================== Previous review, still very relevant. =========================== I figured that in lieu of updating a few reviews I might as well explain my now permanent one star for this location a little better. There seems to be no care in the drive-thru service here anymore, almost no management behind the line when it comes to quality control /for/ the drive-thru and the employees are just outright lazy and sometimes even clueless about their jobs. Here are some occurrences we've had over time, including just about 45 minutes ago when I decided to go there despite previous experience just because I was tired and it was close to my house. Firstly let me talk about the 2 major ones that have happened inside the dine-in section of the location. 2 friends and I went to the location between activities and I agreed since we weren't going to be using the drive-thru, one attempted to order a large 20 piece chicken nugget meal which we've done many time before but the person at the register refused to do it because "It doesn't exist" The employee behind her told her that all she has to do is ring it up as a 20 Piece, Large drink and Large fries. She attempted to do it and rang it up wrong so we had to get a manager involved to fix it and SHE rang it up wrong AGAIN right after telling us that she could do the order. THE MANAGER couldn't figure out that you need to press "NUGGETS" "LARGE DRINK" and "LARGE FRIES" as individual buttons, we had to explain it to her. Just because there isn't a dedicated button for a "Large 20 Piece Meal" The second event was ordering a Filet of fish and when we got it the cheese wasn't even in the sandwich, it was in the box with the sandwich. Oops ? Now for the drive-thru, I can't even break that down into individual occurrences. They forget food and don't lid drinks properly, I've been handed the 4 cup holding tray with 2 large drinks on one side and the employees won't bother checking orders even if you ASK THEM TO! I literally asked point blank "Is this everything" and the kid goes "Yes" and hands me the bag, I got home and I was short 2 burgers. The manager offered me free food as a peace offering but I never cashed it in, I was just done with the constant screw-ups that this location manages to dish out. Then there was tonight, they just totally messed up my order, first they added 2 things I didn't order to the screen and when I said "I didn't order that" they deleted one of the things that I DID order, I had had enough at that point and just drove through and waited for my food. . . .waited . . . for several minutes until a manager picked up a bag that had been sitting for a while and looked inside it and gave it to me. . . .I had shut my car off at that point it took so long. Due to these and other events that I can't detail this McDonalds location has locked in a permanent one star review from me. So far this is the only review I've done that has been consistently one star for every update. AND THE CUPS STILL LEAK!!!!!!!!!

My car broke so I asked my hubby to buy me icecream... Lol. He wanted french fries, so we decided to go to McD! Waiting in drive thru line, my husband says, if I have to repeat my order, I'm going to snap! Lol! (Past Taco Bell experience). We order our icecream cones and small fries... No repeating of our order! Wow! Get to the cashier... Friendly! Double wow! Pick up our food and this cute cashier was so friendly! She gave us our perfectly made cones and said, wait, let me get you some extra napkins! She was so friendly and just so cute! And she was smiling! Smiling like she wanted to be there and loved her job! Awesome! We both said thank you to her and I even waved! Lol! Great experience. I know it's hit or miss at Mauka McD but this is definitely a HIT!

You need to improve customer service at this location. I have a love hate relationship with McD's. I love their Big Mac and French Fries but I hate that they don't have healthy fast food choices. They have a few but they are terrible. I love their chocolate dipped ice cream but hate that they don't have healthier choice desserts.

I'm not embarrassed to admit that I love McDonald's french fries and breakfast items. On those days when I just don't feel like cooking, McDs has always been there with open arms. This location, however, has been consistently inadequate with their service and food preparation. Painfully slow in the drive-thru and most recently my Portuguese sausage platter was terrible. How can you screw up sausage and eggs? Well, the sausage was jerky-like...unpleasant to eat, and the eggs were quite runny. Another time, fries were brown and stale, after waiting 10 minutes in the drive-thru. Eek! I know for a fact that McDs created a fool-proof system which requires one to insert ingredients into a cooking vessel, and push a few buttons to produce any given item. Once you hear the beep, presto! The food is pau. Not too complicated, unless you can't read or push buttons, you should catch on fairly quick. Which makes me wonder if this is the case with the workers here...or if they're just plain ole lazy! Seems like the staff freak out during rush hours, but they move with no sense of urgency. Anyway, what a bummer that this location can't get it together. Very disappointing. Won't be visiting anytime soon...

Um its Mc Donald's hello !!!! It's good for that one moment your craving that one thing? Please don't blame them for your bad choices...disclaimer...I don't!

I stood in from the register, looking at 2 crs's, 2 mgmt, and some worker out of uniform. For 5 mins not one person even acknowledged me at all! Just nothing. Smdh. Poor customer service

Just ordered a 4 piece chicken nugget happy meal for my 4 yr old daughter, asked for ranch sauce, guess what they put in the bag....HABANERO RANCH!! Are you kidding me??! I went back to the counter and said "I said RANCH?! She's going to burn her mouth!!!" No apology or anything, just a snarky smirk from the cashier... like it was a joke!! Wtf! I've never had problems at this mcdonalds ever... Til tonight :(

Came here at 10:20 to order breakfast. Employees all love like molasses so it took 12 mins for me to get to the order window. "Mary" says it's a minute too late and I can only order lunch . Bullshit!! Pictures still show breakfast. Had to get a mgr involved and what do you...my breakfast was made. This girl couldn't even cut a mcdonalds job. Smh

Nice, roomy inside and clean. The outside landscape is cute. I especially love the little water feature by the drive thru. But the plants seem to be getting hit by the recent heat. McDonald's food is what it is: Convenient & fast. The current order takers & cashiers seem very new, not as friendly or attentive as past ones that I'm thinking went back to school/ college when the semester started. If they stepped up their customer service so that they would pay attention to their customers, I'd give them 5 stars. It's gotten better in the past month and a half though. Not as many mistakes, wrong orders and having to drive back to pick up things they forgot to pack or overcharged me for. The immediate parking area is small. But additional parking in the big lot next to the Tesoro is ample. With the new Longs/CVS opening soon, I can imagine what traffic will be like in and around that area will be like. But let's hope for the best, fingers crossed.

This McDonald's is located in a very convenient spot, right near the on/off-ramp to H2 freeway in Mililani Mauka. Easy to get a quick bite to eat when you're hungry. The restaurant is kept clean and there's ample parking. The drive thru tends to move on the slow side and the food is well, like any other McD's. Staff is also generally friendly.

frequent this place often as it is close to where I'm always at.... DRIVE THRU 1) on numerous occasions I've sat in the drive thru waiting for the worker to acknowledge I'm there...of course hesitant to say anything because of all the horrific things fast food workers do to food 2) the order is ALWAYS wrong, double check before you leave the window...the only time my order was right was when I ordered only ice cream. 3) s l o w service....even when they aren't busy inside or out INSIDE total opposite of drive thru but takes away from the "convenience" of the drive thru...

  • Darlene A.

85% of the time my order is wrong or something is missing. Since this location opened there has always been a problem. The owners need to hire new managers who can train the employees properly. There should be no excuse to look over the receipt and check the bag before handing it to the customer.

Visited for breakfast today (Sunday 1/29/12). The line was all the way back to that round-a-bout..so roughly 11 cars back from the order point for Drive Thru. It took me only 8 minutes and 40 seconds to get in and out. From the time I reached the cashier window to pay to the time I picked up my food (including the time to pay)...it was 50 seconds. I was thoroughly impressed.

  • Lily B.

Went to pick up food for the nurses during a lunch break... service was okay and the drive thru moved fairly quickly. Unfortunately I was missing an item and the girl at the window seemed irritated that I was asking for my missing item. She also seemed irritated when I asked for more than 4 ketchup packets and 2 more small bags. Umm considering I purchased over $30 worth of food (we're at McDonalds's people!) I think I would need a little more than 4 ketchup packets and a couple extra bags wouldn't hurt. Maybe she was just having a bad day... I dunno... Anywho the food was hot and fresh (always a plus) and everyone enjoyed their lunch.

Just got back from my sundae run and was blown away that they raised the price of xtra fudge. Last time I went, extra fudge was like $.10-$.20 but this time they tell me its now $.60 Now the whole price of a sundae is a $1. So in the same container I get an extra spoonful of fudge which is now 60% of the original sundae. Absolutely ridiculous. When asked if they had changed the price they said, yeah two days ago. The Franchise owner decided to raise the price. To me this is excessive and a bit much for a small little add-on. Now a extra sweet and sour dipping sauce is only $.20. I think they need to rethink this one....complete joke.

The same as every other McDonald's but the drive through even if packed is very quick.

The McDonalds at Mililani Mauka is always busy and always courteous and efficient. Plus they always seem to have the prettiest and friendliest girls working there too. Always a pleasant experience, even when absolutely hectic and busy.

  • Brady O.

Always go here to get a quick bite because it's convenient and cheap. but the staff are not happy and unfriendly. they don't smile don't even say "HI" they pass the order over and that's it. oh well can't expect much when you get paid minimum wage. there might be a couple of times when they were normal, but that's expected. i guess my standard of good service is too high. anyway, enough complaining. can't always have it your way, only at burger king. haha in general all fastfood joints have average or mediocre service, i guess that's way it's fast and cheap. again only 2 of of the 3 to good service.

    (3)
  • Erin C.

Who served me: Manny c. And Tess r. My experience: well a 20 min drive thru wait, a phone call inquiry occupied by a discreet hang up informing me that the wait is normal! Hahahaha seriously I live in Mililani Maura and this is ridiculous! My $0.99 menu turned into a gallon of gas + 20 min of my time. McDonald's I know times r hard however hiring employees that are rude and insulting makes me, a consumer double check the reason why I shouldn't contact the better business bureau regarding customer service. I don't want to wait 20min for a sandwich, and I should not have to experience your employee of the month learning methods of in adequate manager that hangs up on a concerned consumer. Improvement is needed to better serve your evening customers looking for dinner after a 17hr day!
