NO matter what day of the week my sister and I went, we would always have a blast. Good music, friendly people... eager tourists and honeymooners...it was a low key, friendly hang out spot. We could dance for hours and then go cool off at a near by beach. Out of the 4 months I was in Kapaa, I can at least share a good 75% of my memories from the good times I had @ Tradewinds! Wednesday's were the best days! PS--- everyone comes in comfortable attire, flip flops, tanks, skirts, beach wear...You will stand out if you come here like dressed for a bar in Hollywood.

Unfortunately they are closed. WAS a great place to have a drink on a hot day. Bartender was friendly, drinks were Strong. Will be greatly missed,

Oh No, so sad to hear Tradewinds closed... Any insight into why? Will be sorely missed - such a great place. Where is one to go on the Garden Isle for a good drink??? heard the best karaoke at this place.

The baretenders here were very nice...didn't make me feel like a tourist at all. I do have to say that one bartender made my drink a little watery but the other HOOKED IT UP!!! I gave her props and she was really appreciative and made our drinks the rest of the night. The rest of the staff were cool too, even danced with one of the ladies that worked there...FUN GROUP OF PEOPLE. We ended up hanging out with some other tourists so it was fun. I got the feeling the locals don't really mix with the tourists too much. I did get on the pool table and play a local guy...he and his group were kinda friendly and he ended up buying me a shot of Patron (after I whipped him on the table) and that was cool. I had a good time and would probably visit there again if I were in the area.

Very "Mokey" for the most part. We had some fun tho. The drinks were reasonable and strong. My friend got kicked out for dancing with a girl who I guess had some "local" friends and the security guards dragged him out calling him a Haole and of course, other people started laughing and calling him a Haole too. I got the vibe white people arent really to liked here but maybe it was my experience. I did however bro down with a bunch of locals but thats because I am from the islands and even tho im technically a haole, its obvious im from here so the common bond goes stronger but i felt bad for my friend who is obviously not from the islands. Oh well. Happens I guess

went here for a quick pick me up. my husband got a bloody Mary, and I, a malibu and pineapple. the bartender was a verrrrry friendly woman. I saw only men while I was in here. still have yet to come here at night.
