BLISS! Should be three star Michelin rated....which would mean that it would be worth coming too from around the world just for a cookie. Love, love, love.

The cookies are good, but the day I went, experience was not. They open at 9am. arrived at 1030am to buy cookies to take to friends in Hilo, wanting specifically the chocolate chip and the chocolate whirl. When I arrived, there was no customers in the store, and to my surprise, no chocolate whirl cookies either. They also did not have much chocolate chip cookies, so I had to get other kinds of cookies, which was not what we had wanted. That early in the day, and all out of cookies, I was wondering why they did not start baking prior to opening to be sure to have product to sell.

These cookies are great! To me these cookies rival Big Island Candies and the Honolulu Cookie Company. Some of their cookies i like better. My favorite ones are the chocolate chip and the coffee cookie. The cookies have more of a crisp texture its not your soft melt in your hand kind of cookie. The staff is very friendly, she gave us samples of all the cookies we wanted to try. They were so good it was easy to spend over $100. This place is just a little hard to find. Its in this industrial area where you wouldnt expect to find a cookie shop.

YUMMMMMY! I usually favor soft and chewy cookies, but Mrs. Barry's Cookies were crunchy and delicious!! I ordered about 7 cookies and ate them all myself! They were very fresh too. I did have a few favorites - Chocolate Whirl & the Chocolate Dipped Mac Nut. I wish I had brought some home with me. They do ship to the mainland, so I'll have to start dropping hints for my birthday! :)

yum!!! one of my bridesmaids got these cookies as favors for my bridal shower. everyone that had a bit of the cookies all raved about it - so it's not just me! they have about 16 kinds of cookies (i think) and i've tried them all since i went back when we went back to kona for our anniversary. i'd highly recommend getting the shortbreads - with or without chocolate. eveyrthing else was good, but nothing too special. but i would go to the store just to get some shortbread. so buttery and yummy. the shop is very low-key and right in the costco area. they person at the store was really nice - gave me samples and an extra cookie. when you're in kona - get some of these cookies. they'll mail them but so much better if you just get them there =).

Very friendly staff member. Some really good, some so-so cookies. My favorites are the shortbread and coconut shortbread - those were pretty good. The rest of their cookies are all the crunchy, hard kind which hubby liked but I'm not a huge fan. If you go, get the shortbreads as they made it worth the stop.

Horrible experience. My wife purchased a dozen cookies (6 each of two different kinds). i went outside the store to watch my grand-daughter and took a bite of the oatmeal cookie we bought her. I thought it was tasty and went back in to change my order to 4 each of 3 different types. I was told by the lady/owner that they don't "normally" do that with a bit of an attitude. My wife thought her attitude was one of unfriendliness from the start. i felt like she thought she was doing US a favor by selling them to us. The bag never left the counter top, never left the store, and if the cookies were tainted, what was in their bags to taint them? Perhaps it is because we were not from the Big Island but rather Oahu and my Filipino Sister-in-Law now lives in northern California was with us with her caucasian boyfriend. I am in the hotel/hospitality business, it is so sad to see what some of our visitors might be experiencing. I may be old fashion, but we try to make our customers happy, give them a great experience and treat them as we would like to be treated. The customer may not always be right but we try to make repeat customers at every interaction.

Don't know what all the rant and rave is about. The ones I tasted were hard. Plus at $7.00 a dozen I think I will stick with the bakery fresh Costco ones. All this place has going for it is it's location, in which everyone must drive by it to get to Costco.
