Blazin Steaks recently opened in the Enchanted Lakes Shopping Center, located next door to L&L. Unsupervised amateurs seem to be running this shop and I should have turned around once I entered (as some other customers did), but I gave them a chance against my better judgment. The front entrance seemed normal enough, but the kitchen and register setup was awkward -- there is no partition. The extreme openness of the shop is awkward. While I was reading the menu above the register, I could clearly see an employee, sporting a backwards baseball cap, chopping onions on the kitchen's center island. She was bobbing her head to rap music being blasted from a radio -- unprofessional. Kids just seem to hangout here. At the register, a student was sitting with her back turned to me (also wearing a backwards cap). She didn't seem to work there, since she ignored me. A student seated in the restaurant was rapping along with music, surfing the Internet, playing a ukelele, and yelling random jokes to the cooks. I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria and all of the teachers were on vacation! (Where are the owners? Do they care how their business is run? I don't expect this place to be around in 6 months...) When I received my meal, it looked and tasted decent, but I will never return to this Blazin Steaks, especially when there are great eating spots within walking distance. Blazin Steaks at Enchanted Lakes -- get your act together!!!
