It's such a hike compared to Kuhio Denny's but 90% of the time its worth it. Same with the other Denny's though, it's alright. For a cheap meal, I'm not one to complain. The only difference is that even though the food quality is better at Lewers Denny's, the Service is better at Kuhio Denny's. So really I just end up going to Kuhio Denny's because it's closer and they're nicer, but if I want to actually enjoy what I'm eating I'll take the extra walk to this location (gotta burn off that extra 1119 calories somehow).

Typical Denny's..nothing special. Waitstaff TOO busy to be bothered......food's average & restaurant too warm....but, hey, you're in paradise!

I feel like if you are going to Denny's you should know what to expect. They are pretty much all the same. Food is okay. Service is okay. Its a cheap diner that is great for drunk knights.

A lot of the reviewers c/o slow service at this Denny's. Yes it is slow because there's so many tourists in this area! We came to this Denny's because we wanted to take a little break from eating yummy spam and eggs every day for the last week or so three times in a day. We figured, it wouldn't hurt to get oatmeal for breakfast. We waited for more than 20 minutes or so; can't really blame service here because there are a LOT of tourists that go to this place because it is something familiar. I am giving this place a 4 just because you can't really blame the place; there's way more tourists coming in than there are people leaving after their meals, and more tourists than tables for them to dine in. Great location, food is consistent (just like any other Denny's), and service is good.

Environment: 4/5 Employees: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Cost:5/5 People Traffic: 5/5 Total: 24/25 Synopsis: After going to the beach with a friend, Brett, we were hungry. Because of his limited diet due to food aversions to all fruits, vegetables, and seafood, Denny's was thee only option. I know, second time at a Denny's? This occurred within in a week. Well at least I know the calories I am consuming. The waiter, he was very talkative, almost intrusive. We concluded he wanted to sleep with the both of us at the same time...or at least I didl. Ended being friends with him on Facebook and lo and behold, his name was Jon as well. LOL I guess perverse behavior is in all "Jons." Environment: It is quite a small space. Just like Kunia, the area is quite comfortable sitting, if you have a booth, with nice lighting. It is not as good as Kunia, but it suited just fine. No complaints. I love the crazy-colored carpet for the diner! Employee: Jon, Jon...he gave us small cups so he can talk to us all the time. We presumed this, because with the other people he had served, were given BIGGER cups. It is okay, he was very entertaining. He complimented us on how we looked, almost instigating that we make a good couple. Awww...cute! He offered great suggestions for dessert, which we DEVOURED! All-in-all happy to have him as a friend. Food: I ordered one the skillet meals that had egg whites and stir-fry of potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. I felt like such a good girl eating a delicious dish that sizzled lower calories. Brett ordered nachos with just pork and cheese, no jalapeneos, no onions, nothing. I laughed at his American high fat meal. I know a contraindication to my profession. Sheesh! We finished it with the hushpuppies! It reminded me much of the andagi, the Japanese doughnut. Ugh, ice cream and cinnamon. It just melted in my mouth in utter orgasm. My stomach screamed in excitement. YES! Cost: the pricing was alright. Had no complaints. I felt as the food satisfied me for what I had to pay. People Traffic: It only started getting busy when we left. So I recommend during hours where people usually don't eat lunch. 3-4ish PM. :D

Slow slow service. Not worth if you are on a short travel trip! You will end up wasting time waiting.... Spent 20 mins for the waitress to comeby and ask our order... Spent ~25 mins for them to ask if all was ok and get the check.... in all...over 1.5 hours of breakfast in a very small uncrowded place...

My 2nd day on vacation and spent the entire day in my hotel room sick as a dog. All I wanted was some chicken noodle soup. Good old Denny's came to my rescue AND IT WAS FABULOUS!!! My entire family found something they wanted on the menu; so, I called to order our huge order (for my husband, our 5 kids and myself) and was pleasantly surprised to have a delightful gentleman answer the phone, take my order with extreme ease and helpfulness AND he even called me back because he forgot to give me my total. The order was ready in the promised 15 minutes and it was DELICIOUS!!! We had everything we needed (condiments, silverware, napkins, etc) and then some. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!!!

Were in Waikiki and broke from all the overpriced meals we have eaten. Thank god for Dennys. Yea its a chain restaurant, maybe not the cheapest. But it was right around the corner from our hotel and we were starved!!! I ordered my usual and the husband ordered breakfast. They gave us bread which they never do in the mainland. The waitress was very nice and observant. The hostess was a little off but very funny and entertaining. I say why not come here! You know you'll be satisfied and you'll still have some change in your pocket to get dessert :)

We ate at Denny's on Lewers Street our last day in Waikiki. We were seated in Tina's section and what a positive experience that was. She's a little firecracker and super efficient, not to mention friendly and personable. She made suggestions so we'd get the best value for our money, didn't rush us through our breakfast, and was very attentive. Our food was excellent and the coffee was surprisingly good. We made a point of telling her what an excellent server she is and left a generous tip. We had great service at other restaurants and bars during our stay, but Tina stood out and was by far the best server we had during the two weeks we were there. I hope her manager reads this because she deserves a big raise!!

I've been here a few times with my boyfriend and the food and service is okay at times. One time, we both ordered a loco moco during lunch time and when our food came in, we started digging in and when we reached to the bottom of the rice part, it was all hard and nasty. It's like someone just scooped up a dried up rice in the bottom of the rice cooker or something. We both lost our appetite. We haven't been to this Denny's for a while. That was just one visit. The other visits was good and all. I hope someone fix the rice problem.

Why are you looking at reviews for Denny's. Wait a minute, why I am I writing a review of Denny's. You and I know what Denny's is. We both know what to expect at Denny's and you know what that's OK. It takes the guess work out of finding a place to eat. The service is the same, the waiters/waitresses are the same, the food is the same and I would say the smell is the same no matter what Denny's you walk into. They certainly have consistency working on their side. There you have it but you already knew that didn't you. :)

So me and my bf would eat here after I get off work.. It's late, like 11 pm or even later so it's usually empty or maybe two to four tables taken. Love the 2/4/6/8 menu! But the service? We finished our dishes and we always get desert. We were waiting for a long while, and the only waitress there was walking back and forth passing us but she drops our reciept on the table and we just laughed a little until once again she's walking back and forth and obviously we're not done bcus we're just sitting here waiting for service. She finally sees me and I ask her "can we please get desert?" And she just loudly says "huh?" And I repeatedly asked her for desert and she just walked away to another table. I was like "are you serous!?" And we sat there AGAIN waiting a while so my bf left to use the restroom and I'm standing out of my chair looking over the wall to see where she went and she's just yapping with the chef.. Horrible. Then this guy who I guess cleans and sets up the tables came to the table next to me & I said nicely "excuse me?" And no answer. Again, "excuse me?" Still nothing. He lifts up the plates walks pass me and I said "excuse me?" And I can see his eye look at me without moving his heard toward me to say anything and walks away. My bf comes bck and I explain it to him and he laughs. I was getting really really annoyed with the service. When she finally came bck to us, she takes our order and when she brings our banana split bck it's big. We're just like okay? Better be worth the wait and it was... I just look forward to gng to the one on kuhio for a while now.

We haven't been to Denny's in years but it was late and we had a big lunch earlier in the day so it was the perfect stop. Our hotel was right across the street. The wait for the food was long as the place was packed. The burgers were really good...I was really surprised. Like really surprised. Milkshakes are also huge if you are into that.

This is my favorite place for dunkin' munchies ! With their special $2, $4, $6 menu, the options are limitless ! The service has been alright the times I've been here, but then again I've only visited Dennys during late hours and I don't blame the servers if they're tired.. "/ Some of my favorites are the spaghetti, cheese fries, and the moons over my hammies sandwich. I've also observed that this location tends to give a bit larger portions, so I've committed my Dennys munchies to this location. (:

I typically just eat breakfast here, but their burgers are good and they have an assortment of other lunch and dinner entrees. It has an enormous breakfast menu that can be ordered in different combinations. Pancakes, omelets, waffles, sausage, country fried steak, hash browns, eggs to order, and bacon are just a few of the options. Denny's is not my favorite restaurant, but I can always count on getting plenty to eat at a reasonable price. I can also count on them being open no matter the time of day or night.

Well, it is Denny's so we weren't expecting much. We had a late flight and it was one of the few places open. The service was fine. The food was okay. I wouldn't have chosen to go here if other places were still open.

I come to this Denny's all of the time. Most of the time I get pretty good service. It's a pretty homie and chill Denny's. The atmosphere is of course very touristy because of course it is in Waikiki. I would say the Kuhio one is even more touristy. During some early evening week nights you can see more elderly come down here and the like to talk story to the max for real. And then of course you have your random tourists having their meals down here. You kinda feel like a tourist yourself if you where dining in. It's like they start their day at McDonald's and end their day with Denny's. I always order from the best menu ever in a restuarant which is the 2468 menu. The build your own chicken wraps along with the pancake puppie sundaes are the way to go and excellent combination fro a meal all for 6 bucks. This location is right across from the Halekulani hotel and a block away from shops like the Yardhouse as well as Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. I suggest parking at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and just walking down. Don't forget to get your validation. I wouldn't park anywhere else as it would get more pricier. The next best thing is street parking.

  • Alecia S.

Typical Denny's. Only thing that was odd was our hashbrowns were way crispy... like really crispy. That was a common thing to us in Hawaii so maybe that's the way people cook here...

Went here early morning a few Saturdays ago when a friend and I were both up and 3 a.m. and decided since we were still up at 5 a.m. that we should go eat breakfast. The food is predictable (in a good way), since it is Denny's, after all. But the service here was very good. Granted it was pretty slow, but the waitress was on it with taking our orders, getting our food to us fast, and making sure our coffee cups were always filled. This was a nice change from some other Denny's visits (on the mainland).

  • Heather P.

Went last night and was the WORST customer service ever! Dont know the waitress name but she was beyond RUDE!! She gave the check when she delivered our food without even asking if we needed anything else!! I had to almost yell at her to get her attention when she would walk right past us!! She is lucky that I'm nice and gave her a tip cause this was very disrespectful and upsetting!! This was our 2nd time at this place and we were hoping to get the waiter from our previous visit I think his name was Adolfo? He was very polite and gave way better service and made sure we were happy when we left.

Rating: 4/5 (There's always room for improvement) Date(s) visited: many times. Food 4/5 Drinks 3/5 Service 3/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Price 3/5 Parking 1/5 There's a reason why people refer the food as "Comfort Food..." comfortable for the stomach, and comfortable for the wallet. The Denny's with the least parking. Food: Can't complain about comfort food. Drinks: They have their own style of mixology. Service: Never had a problem with the staff. Atmosphere: Your typical Denny's (no walk-up counter dining, which Denny's is originally known for). Nothing to write home about. Price: Moderately priced for "The Average Joe." Yeah, yeah, could have gone to Zippy's. But this Denny's was just around the corner from the hotel, and a much better deal than the 4 star hotel! It had the familiar Denny's comforting ambiance, the pictured menus, and the real reason for coming here, Grand Slam breakfasts! Denny's now has a BYO Slam. No, not a smack down on WWE, not some favorite insult you are ready to bark, but a Build Your Own Slam. So instead of getting those fixed Slams at low prices, you can mix and match 4 items and pay more! $8.59 is the costs here for BYOS. Still a pretty good deal. I had egg beaters, pancakes, Portuguese sausage, and bacon. All that saturated fat kind of negated the egg beaters. At least I had OJ to drink (a Karafe is $6.29, good enough for 4 glasses). I was really disappointed, though. I was hoping they would have a Hawaiian Slam. You know dakine, Portuguese sausage, 2 scoop rice, sunny side eggs, soy sauce, and Spam! Where is the Spam!? I grew up on that breakfast! Or maybe some Japanese style pickled veggies or maybe some poi, maybe some kimchee, and a slice of papaya, with guava juice to drink. Or maybe some Lomi Lomi, or Kahlua Pig or Ahi, and fresh slice of pineapple. And a beer. You know, BYOHS. Build Your Own Hawaiian Slam.

We have a timeshare at the Imperial (the condos above this restaurant)so we have our breakfast here regularly. We love this Dennys because of the folks who work here who we have come to know. Kathi is a waitress and has been here since the restaurant opened before the Lewers St. Renewal when this corner was scary/skeezy. My husband grew up on Oahu and they share lots of growing up stories. A Dennys is a Dennys but this one is super convenient for us and it seems like the food is a little better than the average Dennys.

Standard Denny's experience, I had a decent burger. Friendly staff. Visit gets an extra star for the current bizarre Baconalia season on at the moment, which provided much hilarity to the meal (sample item: bacon fudge sundae). Classic awesome.

One of the very few places that is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. I haven't been to a Denny's in over 10 years, so I had very low expectations when we first arrived. We were seated very quickly and our servers were very friendly. The Hawaiian charm? Anyways, I looked on the menu and was quickly disappointed. Where was the SPAM? Where was the typical Hawaiian staples? Then I saw it. It was subtlety hidden near the steak and eggs picture. The Loco Moco. Once I ordered, it came out fairly quickly. 2 over easy eggs on a patty of hamburger with some generic brown sauce over rice. I dashed some hot sauce on it and it was good. I'm pretty sure that the menu had either toast or bagel with it, but the server didn't think so. It didn't really matter, because I was so glad to be eating Hawaiian.

I swore off Denny's a long long time ago. I've walked by this Denny's plenty of times and wondered why people bothered to eat here. I don't think I remember a positive Denny's experience but then again that was a long time ago. Anyway, we were at RumFire with friends and got the munchies around 1am. Denny's was conveniently down the road and we were hungry. Over 20 people were accommodated without an extended wait. They took our orders efficiently and the food came out quicker than expected. Most people ordered breakfast food, so a variety of Lumberjack slams and the like. My wife and I would have never gone to Denny's if we weren't with a crowd and we didn't talk much inside the restaurant. Funny thing is, the day after, we both were talking about how good the food was. There's a slight x factor here... we were drunk and hungry. So maybe that helped. Anyway, all the food - pancakes, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and more were good. The bacon was definitely better than Egg's and Thing's or Zippy's. Service was good, especially considering the size of the group. It was a pleasant surprise. So much so that we're going to be forced to eat there when we're sober so that we can update this review.

My Ratings: Quality - 3 Stars Quantity - 3 Stars Price - 3 Stars Location - 4 Stars Service - 3 Stars Speed - 3 Stars My Opinion/Story: I really didn't want to eat at places we have here in SJ. But we were so hungry that we can't walk any further so we decided to just grab something quick. Denny's happen to be in front of us so we decided to go. Hmm.. pancakes sure! We ordered our typical breakfast food of pancakes, omelettes, hash browns, sausage, and bacon. Service is typical of any Denny's where you have to chase them down to get a refill on your water and coffee cup. Otherwise, we were full and ready to tackle the streets. Not bad but I would have wanted something more local.

Worst service from meth freaks ever - by the way no soup after 10 but plenty of stank hookers - no, seriously I asked for soup and iced tea and was denied and got propositioned by a coked out hooker while paying for my bill, she was a friend of my methed out waitress; waitress pleaded with her to not be so loud about it and get her into trouble. Never again. Wish I could give it less than one star.

This Denny's was close to our hotel and definitely made my hangover go away quickly! Service was friendly and fast. Food was Denny's normal deal. Overall, a dependable, diner level meal.

Pretty nice Dennys in Waikiki that's 24/7. No hookers in here, no siree!

The best Denny's I've ever been in. Seriously. Had two long business trips where I stayed in Waikiki and pretty much ate every breakfast here once I ran across it. Super efficient service even when they're slammed. Ignore the typical Denny's fare and go straight to the fresh papaya and pineapple. Add a coffee and you've got a super fresh, healthy meal for change. This restaurant redeemed the image of Denny's in my eyes.

One word; gross. It'd been a while since we'd been to a Denny's and we figured we'd give it a shot for a yummy pancake breakfast. As we sat down my wife wiped the table in preparation for our 15 month old daughter who likes to mouth the table sometimes, the wipe came up filthy!! We doubt the tables are cleaned very often. As for the food, there was nothing yummy about it. And the coffee was horrendous, probably the worst coffee I've ever had, it might have been filtered dirt. A breakfast at McDonalds would have been better.

It's somewhat a family tradition for us to go to this Denny at this location whenever we find ourselves in Honolulu. I have many memories of going to this location. I had my first taste of loco moco here. It always great to have a basket lunch. Not only is it location near the beachwalk, it's location in the far side where the Zoo, and Konak are.

DESPERATE - I was just fricking DESPERATE, do you hear me? I had been in Oahu for six days and couldn't eat one more bite of poke/sashimi/saiman/kalua pork/fresh ahi/tropical anything/spam/plate lunch. If I went to another BBQ joint/Roy's/Sensei/Nobu/Sam Choy's/shrimp truck/noodle shop I was going to BARF. All I wanted was a grilled cheese sandwich. And Denny's delivered, in the form of a Moons over my Hammy. Melted yellow cheese on sour dough toast with scrambled eggs and ham. It was soooooooo good and I think it really saved my life. Yay for Dennys!

Had a breakfast sandwich that came with hashbrowns the other night. Service was good as well as quick. I saved half the sandwich and some of the hashies for the next day. Was so good! Can't remember what it was called, but it definitely was not healthy.

We were here before 6am for breakfast and there was only one waitress serving the floor and another behind the counter. The service wasn't excellent and the food tasted like Denny's food. The overall experience was ok.

5 stars for location. This Denny's is probably one of the last cheaper restaurants in this particularly gentrified square block of Waikiki. Trump's building a ritzy condo tower next corner, an older hotel is now a classy Embassy Suites, and a spanking new shopping area is a stone's throw away.

What can I say? It's a Denny's. Khara had 8 family members visit. I paid for six people to eat dinner and it was about $50. It is by far the cheapest place to eat in Waikiki. If you're looking for a decent meal in Waikiki and don't want to pay out the you know what, it is the place to go.

A Denny's is Denny's is a Denny's...no matter where they're located. When you're hungry at 11pm after you've realized you've spent the entire evening at Louis Vuitton looking at purses, DAMN, where do you go? Denny's! The Superbird tastes like it does at any other Denny's. So, I guess you can say, the food is consistent? Hehe. Glad they're open 24 hours. Lifesavers.

Honestly: best breakfast in Waikiki. I've been to Waikiki three times, and twice in the past couple years so I've tried my fair share of breakfast spots in Waikiki. At Denny's you'll get your money's worth and the quality is great. Don't waste your money spending $50 for breakfast for two at some other almost-franchise place that yelp tourists boast about. Why pay $20 for a single waffle with some whip cream and berries at some hotel restaurant, whereas you can spend $12.99 at Denny's and get a side of eggs, bacon, and toast to go with it? Also, because this Denny's is always busy, the food keeps coming out piping hot and fresh off the grill. Don't hesitate - save your money and get a hearty breakfast here.

Good was amazingly yummy and serves were large but not overly huge so both myself and my partner were able to eat everything and still share a cheeky dessert. We ordered the slamwich and the eggs in a basket from the value menu. Both were so great. Loved the hash! Server was also A+. Took a little while to get the check once we had finished eating. But overall a great experience and I would love to try more off the menu.

We walked in and the manager was right there at the counter and completely ignored us. We were the only people standing there, and we may as well have been invisible even thigh we were a only a few feet in front of him. He then proceeded to walk away, without helping us, speaking to us, or so much as acknowledging our existence. I would have walked out if I didn't have my hungry toddler with me. Luckily, a hostess helped us out almost immediately and got us a table right away. The wait staff is great, very friendly and helpful! The prices can't be beat, and they have a good kids menu. Breakfast is pretty good, and the place is clean.

Came here after a long day at the beach because a friend recommended it. It's quite similar to iHop. The prices of Denny's dishes are average (their $2, $4, & $6 deals are cool though). The food is pretty satisfying!

Service was good and fast but the quality of the food was disappointing. Ordered a meat lovers omelette and what came out was the grilled meats under scrambled eggs. If I knew the meat was not going to be wrapped in the eggs I would have ordered over easy eggs.

This is Denny's??!!!!! You've got to be kidding me? Why doesn't Denny's taste THIS good on the mainland? The food was amazing and the portions were huge! Our waiter Adolfo was excellent! In my opinion the best place to have breakfast in Waikiki where you won't spend an arm and a leg.

This location is pretty much knee deep in Waikiki. I figured by coming around 10am the crowd would be light. Guess again. It's Dennys on Veteran's day. There was a line. However, coming alone sometimes has its perks but getting past the bigger groups. I got in after waiting about 7 minutes and got my meal in less than 5 after that. Pretty good. I usually tip better when the meals are free. Thanks Dennys for honoring Veteran's day.

Had another great breakfast experience here at this restaurant. It was incredibly busy when we arrived, but everything ran smoothly and we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Requested to be seated in Adolfo V area and was accommodated. Even though they restaurant was slammed busy wait staff was courteous & cooks were very efficient in getting meals out prepared well. Again, Adolfo was a great server, not only our table but I observed all his guests appeared happy with his service. And spoke with folks around my table and we all agreed Adolfo's smile & great energy made experience better. Good Job to all staff from hostess to busboys, front to kitchen. Alot of tourists & locals appreciate your good work.

Considering how busy this place was when we visited on Sunday morning, I was shocked at how efficiently we got a table, drinks, and food. Nice big restaurant. They have the full menu here, prices are a little higher than back home. But, they still offer the 2,4,6,8 menu--good value. Go to this place instead of iHOP folks! Service was very great!

Portion sizes are small. Hash Brown was 3 spoonfuls. I told the mod and he said the gm in the back is working and he can't do anything about it. Spend your money elsewhere for a bigger more valued breakfast. There are plenty of other options in Waikiki. Sorry Dennys...you are a national chain, please be consistent in serving sizes. I will probably never eat at this location again. I don't care if rent is high in Waikiki, customers are first....I wasn't even full and paid the price of a breakfast buffet!

Last week Tuesday, 8/18/15, we went to Denny's for dinner. We got seated by a manager and our experience with him was ok. Our server, Brandon, was awesome! He was really friendly and gave us great customer service. Lastly we went to go pay and it was literally the worst experience I have ever had in the restaurant industry. I understand this is Denny's and not a fancy 5 star restaurant, but the girl at the register, LaKeisha, was just out right rude and disrespectful. Even if she was having a bad day, there is no excuse for the way she treated her customers, no one deserves to be treated this way. She had a bad attitude, was rolling her eyes and arguing with us. My boyfriend and I have been in the restaurant industry for years so we usually cut a lot of slack off to bad customer service because we understand that people sometimes are having off days...we always tip 20% for mediocre to bad service. LaKeisha was not bad service though, it was unacceptable service. The point of my review is to let people know to avoid her if necessary or at least be prepared for her.

Totally decent and what you would expect from a Denny's - even in Waikiki. I stayed in a hotel in Waikiki while I was waiting to move into my apartment when I moved to Honolulu. I wasn't on vacation, and I wasn't there to spend money. Sunday came around and hooray for Denny's - I could still count on brunch! Service was a bit slow, but what do you expect on a Sunday morning? There are a few local features on the menu like loco moco and fresh pineapple, but I just got a veggies omelet and it was cooked just right.

Just ate breakfast there and the food is good. The reason I'm writing this review is to compliment the manager. This gentleman (Frederick I'm pretty sure) was outstanding. I watched him jump into every job duty in the restaurant. He was in the kitchen , stopping by tables, letting the servers know if their tables needed anything, seating guests and cashing them out. He never stopped! What an example of a top notch manager. Great job Sir!!

I really appreciate the service that they provide. I really enjoyed the double cheeseburger and the strawberry lemonade. That was excellent. I am glad to that they still have the 2, 4, 6 and 8 dollar items. Good thing about this place is that they are open 24 / 7 daily even on holidays and they even serve breakfast all day too. If you are in the area, then this place is for you and late night owls who want something that will satisfy your hunger so therefore, don't miss out!

Well first of all it gets really busy at mid. Of the night. And honestly me and my friend waited so long at the front to get seated and one of this nice lady seat us randomly and another lady started saying "why are you seating them over there" and she was really rude to my friend and she didn't even do anything. She was rude because my friend forgot what to order and she literally took back the menu and say you ain't ready to order. are you foreals? Like that's really rude and the rude lady took so long with our water. I think her name was oil.

Let start by saying, you can do a whole lot better eating somewhere else. Took forever for our waitress to acknowledge us. Although the food was quick, that's what happens when you Nuke some of it. I ordered a French Slam and the French toast was the kind you Nuke or put in a toaster to heat up. I ordered scrambled eggs and they cam out fried hard. I asked the waitress about it and they said that it is scrambled. I told her that scrambled eggs are scrambled before you cook them, not after. My wife had the sane issue. They said they are used to liquid eggs and they have to Crack eggs in the Shell So what!!!! That's how you cook them. The kids pizza was Franco American sauce nuked over a pre-made crust. There was hardly any cheese on it. My kid hated it. I asked them for more cheese and th hey said they would have to charge more for cheese. I said I would not pay for the pizza at all as it was crust and sauce. They just took some cold cheese and sprinkled more on top. I asked for the manager and he never came. Long story short, stay away from this place!!!!!

Got the bill before I even got my food. Came here with some friends and they were ready before me she took the order and came back with water she never came back to get my order I asked for a manager and she never came back till the manager was at my table. She took my order and asked how we were splitting for the bill

Acceptable breakfast fare, nothing special or memorable. I did like that I could make a custom breakfast combo meal. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and a biscuit. Biscuits got a bit rubbery when it cooled down, they might be better doused with gravy. Restroom is by the cashier and does not require any key.

5 stars for cinnamon pancakes!! I ALWAYS order cinnamon pancakes when I go to Denny's, it's THAT delicious. Eggs, bacon & hashbrowns are good too, especially with Tabasco sauce. :) So glad there was a Denny's here near our hotel...walking distance & near everything really. Will be coming back on our next trip to Hawaii.

After a long flight we were starving, saw dennys and decided to get our pig out on. It was great! Clean, excellent staff and our food was great! Our waitress, Gemma, was not just friendly, but kind and attentive. We had such a great experience there that we went back again during our trip for a late night snack. Seems crazy to eat at Denny's while you're in Oahu but for real-eat at Denny's while you're on Oahu!

Who would have thought a Dennys would garner 5 stars. But, this is the place if it's midnight in Waikiki and you want to get loaded -- loaded with a plate of nachos or cheese fries, or maybe a burger and omelette. Kind of an institution because of its hours -- I believe its a 24 hour establishment -- this is an awesome place to go late night, with friendly servers and it's super comfortable vibe. Don't forget to get a big sundae . Life is too short not to enjoy some ice cream late night once in awhile.

Great friendly staff, and awesome service when its slow. But when a rush his it feels like they rush you to get out. I ordered a chicken and potato skillet and a French toast breakfast, my orders took 25:37 minutes to come out. And when it did it my chicken and potatoes was completely burnt to the bottom of the skillet. And my French toast breakfast was on a very small plate that made my eggs soaked with the butter that was supposed to be for the French toast. In all, it was a cheap lunch. So I got what I paid for.... I guess...

The food has no flavor, the restaurant is dirty, and they are severely understaffed. The servers are all very nice, but don't have time to check and see if you need anything. I ordered a skillet and my plate was only half full. If you're only going to give me half the food I ordered, than I should only have to pay half the price. Plus, it would be nice to given a clean coffee cup, not one with lipstick on it.

I expected that this place is going to be busy because it is in the heart of Waikiki and there always a lot of drunk people and families. However when we walked in there were plenty of tables open but still a huge group of people waiting in the lobby. It took 25 minutes to get a table when there were plenty open. This is not the worst part. Our waitress brought us water and I ordered some fries to hold me over for a few minutes. Little did I know it was going to take 30 minutes just to get fries. Finally the waitress comes over with my fries and we were ready to order actual meals. The group I was with ordered breakfast and me a salad. It took another 45 minutes for the food to come! AND my salad was left behind. I asked her 3 times where it was before she brought it to me, claiming she forgot. I was mad...it's a salad! I had to eat fast because my group was done already. Another thing was we were having a private conversation when a hostess came by to ask us to stop swearing because it was a family restaurant. This was hilarious! Not only were we not swearing, but we were not even taking loud! I think they were out to get us from the start because a man came over and called us grunts....ridiculous! The food was good that is a plus, but the attitude and service of the employees was horrible!

We loved this place and had breakfast there almost every day of our stay in the attached resort, the Imperial. First, Mona is first class and went out of her way to accommodate our large and somewhat crazy family. She was patient, kind and made great suggestions. She almost made us feel like a guest in her home. The food was good and abundant. I loved the Loco Moco and my husband was a big fan of their spicy peppered pork breakfast sausage. We also enjoyed the nachos a couple of times, though they could have used more cheese. I never go to Denny's at home, but this was convenient and I can say I wasn't disappointed in our experiences.

Well. I was hoping Denny's in Honolulu would be better than your average Denny's, which is to say at least two stars. Unfortunately it was not to be. The waitress at this place actually walked away to a different table in the process of taking our order. Can't judge the food because we waited for half an hour after ordering and finally decided to go somewhere else where we could, in fact, be served.

I should not be sweating while sitting and doing nothing. It was SO hot and uncomfortable here. The waiter gave us water and that was seriously the last time we saw that person. Someone else brought our food to us, which we knew was sitting there for at least 10 minutes because we SAW them sitting there. It wasn't even busy when we went, but it took over 20 minutes for our food to come out. I was staying at a hotel so the car was parked there, but I don't think they validate so heads up! Find parking elsewhere.

Eggs n' Things had a ridiculous wait and I was iffy about Giovanni Pastrami's breakfast--so, last stop: Denny's. It was my son's 6th bday weekend, so I was on a mission to fulfill his request for pancakes (we were having a staycation @ the Sheraton and only wanted to go within walking distance). He had the 3 mini chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, and eggs. As I cut the pancakes into bite-sized pieces, my peripheral vision detected something black. Chocolate chip, you ask? Why, no--more like a long, curly PUBE. I wave the waitress down, inform her of the situation, and she (completely unphased) immediately replies, "I'll make you another one." UMMMM, NO. They take it off the bill and as I'm paying, manager in the front goes, "How was everything this morning?" Me: "Not so good. There was a huge pube in my son's pancakes." Manager: "........... Okay, that will be $19.55." And that was a huge reminder of why I haven't been to Denny's in YEARS. Oh a side note, their kid-size strawberry banana smoothie was delish, esp. for $2.00. Just be on the lookout for a possible unidentified black object floating around. :/

Nice big restaurant. They have the full menu here, prices are a little higher than back home. But, they still offer the 2,4,6,8 menu--good value. Go to this place instead of iHOP folks! Service was very great!

Slow start Great finish Love it good price I love that I can order off the kids menu The portions are pretty big (too much for me) Really good place for a comfortable meal and reasonable price. :)

  • Michaux H.

  • Jerry H.

Well... It's a Dennys. The bathroom scared me, the food was interesting, and my kids got overcooked pancakes. To be fair it was sort of late at night. But no excuse for a messy bathroom!

  • Frankie R.

  • Tom E.

  • Fei Z.

    (3)
  • Roy H.

Well, it is Denny's so we weren't expecting much. We had a late flight and it was one of the few places open. The service was fine. The food was okay. I wouldn't have chosen to go here if other places were still open.

Price: Moderately priced for "The Average Joe." If you sign up for their club (Denny's Rewards), they send you coupons you can use for cheap. Here's the site: dennys.com/en/default.as… Parking: Street parking.

Me and my friends come here often for breakfast before we start work. Its not far from the Outrigger Reef. The $2 $4 $6 menu is the best.

Denny's Waikiki (the one on Beachwalk)... Breakfast: Portuguese sausage is the same kind at McDonalds...hehe...yes, makes me happy.

Yeah, yeah, could have gone to Zippy's.

Located right across the street from the Halekulani hotel on Waikiki beach, this is a great breakfast option. We stopped in for a quick breakfast before departing for the airport and enjoyed it. Friendly service, clean restaurant, food comes out quickly and hot.

They offer Loco Moco and was around the corner from our hotel; I can't complain. Especially, after we got turned away from the Halekulani. Who knew you had to have closed toe shoes in Hawaii?

Living in Honolulu, I should have learned by now that restaurants in waikiki are gonna take longer, and what's worse is...when the restaurant is pretty empty and it still takes 45+ min

Lifesavers.

Standard, but one of the few places open late enough at night to eat after you've had a little much out in waikiki.
