Good food with quick service. The staff is always friendly. The burgers are hot and juicy and made to order. Choose from tater tots, fries, onion rings or sweet potato fries. They have a decent selection of beers. Seating can be sparse during crowded times. The patio area is great. Sit there and enjoy the music from Pure.

This is an awesome place in downtown Woodstock that stays pretty busy. They have burgers, chicken, and salad. I usually get a burger with the toppings on top that I choose which is great and they also have a wheat bun option I believe. I love that they use fresh jalapeños on their burgers so I can add that extra kick. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sweet potato fries are delicious and come in a pretty large sized bag. Great local place to come in for lunch or dinner and for the whole family.

Two visits, so you can't say I didn't give them a second chance to impress. Unfortunately, they didn't. Ordered just a cheeseburger the first time for take out. So, maybe that one shouldn't count? On my 2nd visit, a dine-in, I had the Canyons Burger *and* Chicken Tenders and fries. (I was hungry. Don't judge.) What I liked: the employees were friendly, efficient, and hovered around the dining area keeping things tidy. They had ample seating options inside for groups small and large as well as some terrific outdoor seating. Large, airy space, wall-to-wall windows make this a bright spot with good energy. What could be better: the burger's flavor just fell flat. No seasoning to speak of. No "love" in the preparation. Unremarkable. The chicken tenders could go missing from the menu and I don't think anyone would notice. And the fries were standard - maybe a bit boring, dry. I guess what is missing is the savory, salty, mouth-watering satisfaction I look for in a burger joint. There isn't anything about these two meals that is calling me back. And one more tiny complaint: they were out of paper towels in the men's room and they don't have one of those fancy wall-mounted air hand dryers, so, that left me all wet.

Two Thumbs Up for Fast Casual..... Always have the turkey burger.... The first time I thought it was beef..... Yah it was that good.....

Had a buffalo chicken salad there today which was very good Their customer service is strong and the only bad problems parking so hard to find a parking place in this area

This place is quick and has good burgers. I love the canyon sauce to dip my fries in. The burgers are a decent size and aren't frozen coming out of the back. The onion rings are great! Even the salads are great here. They are large and have ample toppings. This is close to my house and I would choose their burger over five guys to be honest.

Pretty good food love the area not as crowed as I though not to expensive either good place to go with a baseball team or with some friends. Good burgers and fries nothing to special but better than average

My Black and Bleu Burger was so, so good. Casual, friendly atmosphere. Fun staff. Definitely going back.

Quick service but casual dining, food is on the pricier side but it's delicious. Their canyon burger is a classic, but their salads are just as amazing. Great place to come with friends or family for a casual atmosphere without the fast food chain.

I wish I could give a 3.5 It was pretty good but my burger was a bit over cooked for my liking. I like mine medium rare. They actually didn't ask me joe I wanted my burger cooked. I wish I would have noticed they had sweet potato fries. There are a few other things I want to try on the menu. I'll for sure go again. The people who worked there were very nice. I don't know what reviewer Virginia had a problem with----- sounds like she's a "wee bit" crazy and jealous! The post sounded like a 16 year old wrote it, but her photo is 2 middle aged women so who knows. Regardless that B is crazy! Lol

The place was kinda busy not too bad but the guy at the counter messed up three orders of our 7 person group. We couldn't find a table and management was no help. A couple girls had finished eating and were sitting at a table just hanging out and the manager wouldn't help us get a table and told our group he could box our order up to go. I won't be coming back. Plenty of other great options in this area

Definitely top of the line burgers here. I was visiting Woodstock for the weekend and we thought this place would be chill. My friends just moved here and they were trying it out for the first time. You choose a burger and add sauces on there. The burger did fall apart some. We had to keep trying to put it back together but it was oh so good! I couldn't finish the whole thing. The food did take a while to come out but it was worth the wait. The drinking area is called the "hydration station" which is pretty funny but catchy. Most of the people that work here are teenagers but all were polite. They will bring your food too you and bring anything else you need. No need to pick up you're food, they've got it.

The burgers are great and it was not greasy. I liked the crinkle fries. The sweet tea was also made very well.

  • Mel E.

Everyone was nice & the food was a little above average. I've been 3 times, once I got the veggie burger & let's just say it's not my taste. But their normal beef hamburger is much better. It's nothing you crave, but if i'm around the area I'll definitely stop by again.

Tried this place Saturday. It was a good burger, but surprisingly generic. I was expecting a great burger, but it was what it was. The staff was friendly, space very clean and the portions were correct. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely return, but I don't think I'll seek it out.

Went here for lunch. Here, you stand-in-line, place an order, and find a place to sit. They have regular booths, long booths, tables - high and low, and outdoor seating. The comprehension challenged dude (420) eventually took my order which was a Canyon Burger with almost every topping (all the way) and a couple sauces (canyon, and hot mustard). Also ordered the sweet potato fries. The burger was very good. The sweet potato fries were the best I'd ever had (I never had any before- but they were really good). I like it here because they have folks that walk around and drop off your order. They also mind the tables and check on the customers. They also clean off the tables when your done. They have better service than some full service restaurants! This is how service should be for the walk up type restaurants. I mean, how hard is it to walk around and check on folks, deliver an order, clean a table, give a hug. The girl here was hugging MOST of the folks - I must have been busy during my turn. :(

We're new to the area, and thought we'd give Canyons a shot. Sadly, we never even got to try the food. I refuse to give my money to a burger joint that won't give me a rare burger. Medium well was the lowest they offer. So, off to Freight Kitchen & Tap we go.

A good burger at a good price. It was a busy Saturday in this popular spot and my wife had the Turkey Burger and I had the Bacon Cheese Burger "Canyon Style" with crinkle fries. We were with a party of 7 and getting a table wasn't too bad despite the crowds. Everyone was pretty happy with their meals, which also included salads, chicken fingers, and sweet potato fries. My daughter did not like the sweet potato fries, saying they were tough, but everyone else thought they were fine. The only other negative thing that wasn't perfect was that two of our party got their meals about the time everyone else was finishing. My burger was good and the fries were crispy. One of the condiments on my burger was a bit too sweet but I couldn't pin point it, so next time I'll go with only chipotle mayo.

Good food. Friendly service. Decent prices. Clean facility. Burgers are grilled and not greasy. Mushroom burger was very good. Small menu to choose from.

  • Melissa R.

My son and I love coming here. It's not greasy like 5 Guys. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It's very clean. There's plenty of seating, large booths, and outdoor tables. On Monday nights, they have balloon animals and kids' meals for $1. I love their huge grilled chicken salads and their blue bayou burgers (very generous with the bleu cheese). The only complaint I have is the temperature. It is always ice cold anywhere you sit.

    (4)
  • Bobby D.

It's kinda gimmicky here but I like it. The blue cheese burger is pretty good. Not the best but solid.

    (4)
  • R G.

I can always count on a good burger and some great sweet potato fries. I think it's a good value for your money.

    (4)
  • Don S.

I expected a little upscale experience. The burger was good, but they goofed up the condiments. Not an overly friendly staff. Tables were not extremely clean at about 1:15PM on a Monday. The biggest shocker was when I looked up towards the open rafter ceiling. The rafters were full of thick dust, including the ductwork, vents and wiring. The drink machine cooler had thick dust on its vents too. This place needs a good scrub and owner attention.

This place was hopping on a Friday night. After a long day at work I was hungry and tired. The quality of the food and shake was great. The thing that knocks this down to 3 stars was the speed of service. While I received my shake right away, I waited over 30 minutes for my burger. I realize they make everything fresh but there is a good chance they lost my order and didn't bother to check in with me and let me know what was going on.

  • Matthew E.

Cool place situated in downtown Woodstock. The burger was OK. Not very full of flavor. The onion rings were good. If I go back I'd try to chicken fingers. They looked good.

  • Trey T.

First time at this place. Great, great joint. The grilled chicken sandwich was on point! Also some of the best sweet potato fries I've had. Definitely recommend this place. Would even make a trip up from ATL for the place.

  • Bret C.

Burgers are great! Second time here had to wait usually long both times. Prepare to wait!

Burger was excellent. fries were pretty good. will try the sweet potato fries next time. milkshake was very good.

We've eaten at Canyons a few times in the past several months. Very good burgers and fries. Best burgers I've eaten in a long while. Parking can be a challenge at times.

    (5)
  • Seth S.

Burgers are supposed to be their specialty, but mine was dry and flavorless. Better off going the fast food route.

    (2)
  • Jen W.

The food is always excellent, but the store is so cold inside--year round--that I lose interest in my food because I'm too cold to eat.

  • Jerry T.

Canyons rocks. They do one thing and they do it well: burgers and fries. The traditional burger choices have all been solid, and the turkey burgers are good too. I can even say that the black bean burger is awesome, and I'm not really a vegetarian burger type of guy. It's smoky and a little bit spicy. Sort of a southwest flavor. Also I would definitely suggest trying the sweet potato fries. They are a little more expensive but absolutely worth it. They taste delicious.

    (4)
  • Richard G.

Good black bean burger but their Portabella burger is better. The one I had was marinated and juicy. I give them a fourth star for their service. Fast, friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit steep and everything is ala carte but I guess that allows you freedom to get exactly what you want. Really nice location if your in or near Woodstock.

  • Tom N.

Loved it when we went here. The hand battered chicken fingers were fantastic!! My girlfriend (at the time) enjoyed her burger and her sweet potato fires. The burgers did not come with fries and that was a bit of a pain as that added an easy I think 3 dollars, oh well. The quality of the food was on par with the price I think. The menu is a bit more "friendly" than pure next store. I will go back to Canyons without a doubt. People tend to forget that with places like this you do not have to tip as there is no waitress saving the 3 or 4 dollars. Also I am a huge fan of getting my own drinks/refills.

  • Mike R.

Ok place. Line takes too long when they are busy. Hire more cashiers. Last time food served barely warm.

    (3)
  • Brad I.

They've really stepped it up. Order a Black Diamond and half / half fries! Excellent burger. The blue cheese is delicious.

    (5)
  • Joe M.

My Burger was very good but a little overcooked (I like mine bloody). Lots of blue cheese. My wife liked her spicy black bean burger. The people who work here are extremely nice, friendly, and fast with your food.

  • Cheryl H.

We love Canyons! Great burgers, great chicken fingers, delicious salads and awesome fries. I love blue cheese on my burger; my son loves the larger burger with cheese and bacon. My younger son thinks the chicken fingers are out of this world! I love the thinner fries and especially in the mixed basket with regular and sweet potato fries. Oh and the milk shakes are great too. You definitely need to try the canyon sauce - I love it as a dip for the fries. Canyon's is especially busy on the weekends and during the community events in downtown Woodstock but they always get the food right out to you and always provide excelllent service. The outdoor patio is a great seating option.

  • Kerry D.

Awesome. My boyfriend and I stumbled in here after reading a few other reviews. In all honesty I wasn't expecting much. The burgers we got were great. I got the sweet potato fries the first time and the next time we went back i got onion rings. Both are fantastic. Julie, the manager, came by our table on our first visit and we chatted with her about the restuarant and other stuff. She's wonderful! We have been back a few times and have never had a bad meal. Oh and for the person who said 5 guys is better...really?? You need to get out more if 5 guys is your idea of a great burger!

    (4)
  • Darby H.

Good, fresh burgers and fries. Fun, family friendly atmosphere, nicer than most fast food. Prices are reasonable, too. Can be really crowded! Try the sweet potato fries.

  • Scott W.

I happened upon this place after going to pure. I'm glad I had a poor meal at pure to be able to find canyon. Nice to find a great, fresh burger place. Burger=awesome. Coleslaw= awesome. Employees very friendly! Been there numerous times and plan on going back soon. Tell your friends, I do!

  • Michael B.

Recently had the 360 Bacon Burger with onion rings and wife had grilled chicken sandwich. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. Wouldn't repeat visit with better burger not too far away.

    (3)
  • Nikki D.

I enjoyed the different options for the burgers. It was also a great burger. It is hard to find resturants that will make a good burger in my opinion. There fries were also good. I did like the atmoshpere. It was a great location in downtown woodstock!

    (4)
  • Brian B.

Burgers are not that good. Way to peppery. Most good burger joints have juicy burgers, not here.

  • Ryan D.

This is about th only place in downtown Woodstock you'll find fast service on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. They offer numerous burgers in a quick casual setting and the service always seems good. The burgers weren't as expensive as I thought they may be for being a burger boutique. I rocked out a turkey burger with sweet potato fries and a brew for $10.00, and that's not bad in my book. The burgers were great, the fries cooked fresh and the beers were cold. It's a no brainer. The patio is a nice place to sit so long as it's not overrun by the little Woodstock heathens. You can sit out side on a weekend and enjoy live music from Pure and $2.50 beers. Not bad in my book.

Love Canyons. The food and service is always excellent. The staff is wonderful and the manager, Brittany, is always so pleasant and helpful. I go several times a month and I am never disappointed.

I had lunch here during some festival in Woodstock. Canyon's is great burger eating. I know that isn't really a sentence but man those burgers are great. This isn't Five Guys or any burger joints like that, this seems to be 1 step higher in taste and atmosphere. You can buy beer here which is a plus, the burgers are really tender and cooked to perfection. If you taste burgers here and compare them to your steak & shakes, five guys, etc you will know the difference and it's easy to tell which one is better. Close to being the best burger i've had.

Went tonight (Saturday) after church. Three in our party, me, my wife and my daughter. I ordered the regular size cheese burger, wife orders a junior hamburger, and daughter orders a junior cheeseburger. The order comes - my daughter's is missing mustard (understandable), mine is missing cheese (and is a junior instead of a regualr) and my wife's is missing the meat patty! Really? The waiter apologizes and gets it all right - except for my junior vs. regular. Burgers were mediocre - fries were good. At the end of the meal a hostess comes around and asks how our meal was - we tell her the problems we had - she says "Really? That's too bad, well, try to enjoy the rest of your weekend" - wow, Five Guys is WAY too good to ever go back to this place. See ya.

  • Melissa W.

Love the turkey burgers..... Only con is whoever dices the veggies needs to do the fries. Can't stand big chunks of onions on my turkey burger.....

  • Amy T.

Pleasantly surprised with Canyons! We went for Friday night dinner. I had burger with all the fixins' and it was very good, and not too greasy. Fries were OK, but my friend's onion rings looked great. Beers were surprisingly cheap - $2.50 for Yuengling?!?!? I'm in! Also loved that the kids meal applesauce was the "natural" kind with no high fructose corn syrup.

  • Rick D.

Went here to try the place out. Walked in and they have a few different choices for burgers and I ended up getting the burger with Cheddar, Onions and BBQ sauce. It was flavorful and done just right, but everything here is a'la carte. two burgers, one order of fries and two drinks ran me just under $18. The burgers were good, but I don't think $18 good. If you havent tried it, give it a shot, but if you have tried it before, odds are you wont be going back on a regular basis solely because of the monetary aspect.

    (3)
  • Jason T.

    Really good food.

If you haven't tried Canyons in a while give them another try. They seem to have improved many taste and the setting remains nice

  • Kevin P.

Stopped in for a quick bite. I was extremely surprised. With many of the burger boutiques popping up, ones has to wonder how long will this fad last. Well Canyon is here to Stay. Add this spot to your bucket list.

  • Virginia K.

Wanted to add my 3 cents, since it's now September and the bad event occurred in April at Canyons, so obviously I have not been back! Listen, I don't give a hoot how good the food is, if there is a woman there who waits tables for a living and she has that much disrespect for myself, as a woman............the I say "screw" canyons. Besides...........you can get a good burger at Fudruckers or 5 Guys. Lots of choices. I don't need a burger that bad!
