Clean new Mexican place. Original in Quitman. Pretty good food. Big cheese dip compared to other places. Don't go that much bc not near our office. Probably would if it was closer. Easy from I-75.

Really great mexican food! I absolutely love the chicken chimichanga and their cheese dip is fantastic! I always put extra on my rice.

People have complained about the heat of the homemade salsa. Not true. It's delicious and made fresh. I had the Alhambra, which was REALLY good, and I don't usually order meat at a mexican restaurant the meat was tender and well seasoned with green peppers and onions mixed in. It come with a side plate full of rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream and another plate full of tortillas. I could only eat half. Very nice decor and great service. The Mexican food in Valdosta. 5 peppers up.

I enjoy Mexican, but this place missed the mark. Salsa was ok. Had an odd taste I didn't care for. I try cheese enchiladas everywhere I go. This place was the worst. Too tomatoey with onions. Hate onions. Service was not great. Only a dozen guests and had to wait for my water to be refilled. You never should have to wait on a refill! However, atmosphere was really nice.

Poorly run.. Ordered an app we never received :.. Food seemed frozen and heated up. I would never go back ... Don't waste your time on gross Mexican food!

Stopped here on the way back home from Orlando. Atmosphere was nice. Not my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. Cheese dip was good. Salsa a little too spicy for me. Water tasted awful. My boyfriend enjoyed the Tacos al pastor. Seemed to be run by college kids but everyone was friendly.

What amazing service! The staff works incredibly well together to make sure customers are taken care of -- and you can tell they are having fun too. If some of the food had been just a little more flavorful, I would've easily goven five stars. I love guacamole and margaritas, but sadly both were lacking flavor. But, the salsas and my main entree were incredible. Highly recommend!

Best Mexican in Valdosta!! Service and food are superb. Perfect dining on outside patio for fall days. Fajitas are my fave with fresh chips and guacamole. Salsa is extra tasty.

Not so great service. Food was eh. Kinda gross. Salsa is alright. 2 stars only because they have great rice.

This is a great place for a delicious meal. I didn't bring my phone in because I killed my battery but I wish I had taken food pics. The Plato Coyoacan was huge! It is a great sampler of the standard Mexican offerings. The only disappointment was that the taco and tostada were on the platter with the rest of the food so they were not as crunchy after absorbing the enchilada sauce. The chips and salsa are good but the salsa is a bit too spicy for the average palate. My husband loves spicy food and even he was put off by how spicy it was. All in all, it was a great and filling meal. We will be back to sample to the fajitas next time.

We stopped here on our way to Orlando because of the great reviews... Driving up the place looked very nice with a nice patio... When we walked in the place was being run by a bunch of college kids...the chips tasted slightly stale and my steak tasted like it was just taken out of the freezer and defrosted. My boyfriend's chicken tasted like Chinese takeout. I absolutely love Mexican food and I was not the slightest bit impressed with this place.

I love the atmosphere of this place. The staff is also very friendly. I tried it twice and i'm sold on the Alambres. I think that's the best dish that they have.

Best mexican food in Valdosta. Any of the specialty fajitas are excellent and have really great seasoning. 2 for 1 margaritas are great, good size, and heavy on the tequila. good service, excellent menu. And the servings are huge, even the white cheese dip appetizer. Only place we'll go for mexican food now.

Most everything I eat here is delicious! The service is really good too. My only criticisms are the salsa is ok and it's kinda dark inside. Other then that it's my fave Mexican place in Town.

Pretty & clean inside, all new with a fireplace in the wall on one end. Food & Service very good. One complaint, my hubby eats mild salsa, I eat medium salsa. The salsa was too hot for both of us. I asked for some milder salsa, and he brought us some mole sauce which was mild. I'm not a big mole sauce fan. I asked again, and he said that is all they have. They don't make a milder salsa. Enjoy the food and atmosphere, but get ready to burn if you eat much of the salsa. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant as a good addition to the Mexican restaurant scene in Valdosta.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
