Supposedly another local place....where you see people from Kennesaw :) L'Thai used to be "Thai Flavor" when i first visited it. Ever since...forgive my spelling... Pythya became a partner, the restaurant went through a major upgrade of its interior as well as the alcohol and food selection. I think this is a place that by the sheer selection of wine and beer would have even pleased Kingsley Amis ("Everyday drinking"), too. Now to the food. Very good food. Very authentic. Very fresh and (honestly...who cares...) organic food. Organic or not, the ingredients are great, fresh and local. The quality is consistently top tier. This is honestly one of the best and the only fully organic Thai restaurant in ATL. And even better, the prices are slightly more than average Thai, but extremely reasonable. The dining atmosphere is great. You feel you are sitting under trees with a faint waterfall in the background. Both booths and chairs are very comfy. They did a great job. If you are into Thai, I think this restaurant is a must go to! Just avoid that seedy pub next door!

Loved it! Green curry - tasty little green tomatoes and lots of other delicious vegies. I asked for just a little tofu and lots of vegies and they did exactly what I asked. I ordered 3 peppers on their spicy scale (3 out of 4) and it still wasn't super spicy. So if you like it hot, ask for 4. To my delight, they did have brown rice. We went for lunch and the food came in under 5 minutes - nice because we were in a hurry. Great place! Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and also for the dining experience. Nice decor and atmosphere.

One of the most authentic Thai restaurant in Tucker (it has some competition) and Atlanta. A dark, quiet restaurant with a bubbling indoor koi pond, it's good for a secluded date night or relaxing evening alone. Call ahead for "reservations" though. They are not really needed (they are usually only at half capacity) , but they ask if you have them and will give you snarky looks if you don't. However, after you get over that, the rest of the evening will go nicely. Almost everything on the menu is organic, or has an organic option. Every item also suggests a complementing wine (if that's your thing). the food is very nice - not unnecessarily sweetened like many other places do. The chef's get bonus points for sticking to traditional Thai recipes. Something worth note: this is the only restaurant in Tucker, and more than likely in all of Atlanta (and I might even venture to say one of very few in America), that serves the desert - Durian. A Thai fruit, Durian is known at the "King of the Fruits" because, as it was explained to me: it has vitamins, minerals, and is very good for you. It is served here as a desert - hot, over ice cream. This says nothing about the smell. When they started cooking it - I thought they had just started burning road kill. And when the brought it out to us - well, as the dish itself got closer to me, the odor got worse. If nothing else - that should tell you just HOW authentic this restaurant is: 100%.

This place is awesome. Secluded in the surbabs... I love their food. Dark lighting, could use a little work on that... perhaps actually turning them ON instead of depending on candles. Menu is great! Everything has a wine match. Awesome food for the price. (portion and quality)

An amazing little gem off the beaten path! I love Thai food so on a whim and a few Yelp reviews, a friend and I decided to make the trek over to L'Thai on around 8pm on a Friday night. We arrived around 9ish; and, were greeted to the sound of a live piano player...can you say HUGE SCORE for atmosphere and ambiance!! We were seated immediately and presented with the menus. Anna was our server and I have to give her a HUGE SCORE for above and beyond customer service. Now I do have to say that when they say "We close at 10..." they really mean they close the kitchen and cash register down at 9:50 so that they can turn the lights off at 10. Plan your meal accordingly. Now for the food...OMG! First, as a previous reviewer stated organic Thai food is rare so I was intrigued by the concept. For our appetizer, we ordered the Organic Basil Rolls...OMG the crunch, the freshness of the veggies, the explosion of flavors, and the sauce (although a little spicy for my taste) created a Friday night dance party in my mouth!! My friend ordered the Basil Rice and was amazed by the very generous portion size. I wanted to walk off the beaten path a little more and I did something I seldom do at a new restaurant--I ordered the salmon. When this dish arrived, the presentation was simply beautiful. The broccoli on the side was perfectly cut, the red and green peppers were neatly diced, the sauce was drizzled (and not drenched)...then came the taste. The salmon is cooked with the skin on so I did my "fork test"--I place my fork at the very tip end of the salmon and this lets me know how overcooked or undercooked it is (I know unscientific at best but hey it works for me)! Can I just say I was simply in awe when the salmon lifted--not crumbled or peeled but lifted gently from the skin. If it was this easy then it can't be good right? WRONG...as I put the first piece into my mouth, my taste buds exploded into ecstasy (and remember this is only a piece of fish...lol). Oh I almost forgot the wines...they have a very nice wine list...but I honestly didn't spend a lot of time looking at the list or tasting the wines...that will be our next trip! So, if you are in the Tucker area and want to try some great Thai food ...L'Thai is the place! Thank you Anna and the entire kitchen staff of L'Thai for making our first experience at your restaurant a true culinary dining experience!

I can think of no better place to start my Yelp reviews than L'Thai. The food is always delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. Each meal has a garnish of an orchid, which is a nice touch, and the atmosphere is quiet and tranquil. My favorite is the Nua Prix Khing (green beans and beef in a spicy thai chili curry) and I haven't had this dish at any other Thai restaurant that can even come close in comparison. I absolutely CRAVE it. When I eat at other Thai restaurants, I always find myself comparing them to L'Thai. The Pad Thai is also excellent, and I recommend the vegetable tempura or spring rolls for an appetizer. If you're looking for an authentic Thai restaurant with a great atmosphere, even greater food, and excellent service - look no further.

If you had to guess "How many native Thai people live in metro Atlanta?" a correct answer might be "Not very many." Fortunately, we consider one of them a friend, and she introduced us to L'Thai on LaVista Road in Tucker this past weekend. She and her husband eat there about twice a month. If that says nothing about L'Thai's authenticity, I don't know what does. My entree, the old fashioned Pad Thai dish (with very fresh-tasting shrimp), they hit out of the park. The first sign that they knew what they were doing was that they didn't drown the noodles in sauce. They didn't have to. I did have to spice it myself with a dry red pepper, but once I did, I nearly cleaned my plate. I'm embarrassed to tell you how fast. Phenomenal. Miss D. ordered a beef basil dish that was also perfectly good. "You agreed we would share!" she protested. We split a couple organic lagers. Our companions like a long, leisurely evening out, and the gracious owner and his staff knew this and did not rush us. Mango sticky rice and, later, mango ice cream, were deliciously palate-clearing. L'Thai was easy enough to find, it was just west of Jimmy Carter Road (and the Home Depot) on Lawrenceville Highway. Traveling east on Lawrenceville Highway, from "downtown" Tucker, L'Thai and its purple neon sign are on the left.

I went on a Thai eating rampage with a friend of mine. We were determined to find the best places around to find Thai. This restaurant made it to our top 3 (the other two used different regional spicing, so they're all considered in the 'top 3'.) The flavors are balanced and delicate. Authentic, no added sweeteners and the food is *MUCH* lighter than you will find elsewhere. I have noticed other reviewers criticizing the portion sizes, but upper end restaurants serve you less food but at a higher quality. I have been here repeatedly and had no issues with the staff, and the owner has come by our table many times to ask how the food is - always excellent. More expensive, but you get what you pay for. A nuanced tongue will appreciate eating here, I'd recommend choosing L'Thai when you have the time to enjoy the experience. For a quick filling meal, go elsewhere. Be sure to try the Durian.

I don't go that often as it is a bit out of the way and i have a thai place that delivers in my neighborhood but i always enjoy a delicious meal here. The menu is extensive and uses quality ingredients. I always ask for the brown rice which adds a nice nutty element to the dishes. Some of their takes on classic thai dishes are a little different but tasty nevertheless. Seafood is always fresh and they have some of the best tofu in the metro area.

I went there for brunch. It was OK, I am a big eater so I was disappointed with their portions. The orange juice was really good, and I believe it was fresh squeezed. I would have been happier going to IHOP or Denny's for breakfast. I have never been back since eating there one time. Big Prices small portions. Not recommended.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I have been eating there for a few years now and their curry is so good it has made it hard to enjoy anyone else's because all I can think of is how it isn't as good as L'Thai. The staff is never anything less than friendly, courteous and attentive. The food is consistently great every single time. I like spicy foods so it makes me especially happy to be able to order my food "Thai hot" and get something to make my eyes water. If it isn't spicy enough there is always a selection of 3 types of Thai chili's they are happy to bring out. You can add chili paste, crushed chili's, or chopped chili's. If you are looking for good Thai food this place is excellent and the prices are quite reasonable. They seem to use good quality ingredients and really care about what they do. I'll admit, I like the curry so much I haven't branched out much to many of their other dishes but they do also make a good pad thai. TRY THEM! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

I'm pretty sure I'm adding this to my yummy cheese steaks list. The 4 stars goes to just the cheese steak. It was juicy, tender, seasoned just right with the perfect amount of melted American cheese smothered all over it. The fries are great with ranch dressing. All in all it was a pleasantly surprising spur of the moment stop at an IHOP on the way home from the airport after traveling all day and being super hungry. Ut Oh... could a 4th star be the result of the "I'll eat anything if I'm hungry enough" saying?

Not only was this some of the best Thai food that I have ever had, it was some of the best food that I have ever had. The food was great, the food presentation was great, and the service was also great. I was there with three other adults and a child and everyone ate all of their food and loved it. The spring roll appetizer was amazing, and everyone's meal was delicious. We had everything from rice to a China Town chicken special that they had on the menu. The chicken was tender and perfect and the sauce that they used was first rate. The fried rice mixed with chicken (it was a stir fry) was amazing, perfectly cooked. We even shared a dessert. Mango ice cream for my little one, and FBI (Fried bananas and coconut ice cream). It was some of the best ice cream that we had ever put in our mouth. It was by far some of the best ice cream that we put in our mouths. We live in Ohio, but when we go back to Tucker, we will dining at L'Thai again for sure!

After consulting the great, powerful and all knowing Yelp ... in search of good food in or near Tucker ... we decided to have dinner at L'Thai. If you are a fan of a well-stocked wine bar and above average Thai food, this is the place for you. If you enjoy wait staff who are friendly, witty and wearing snazzy, silk shirts that sparkle, you will be very happy with L'Thai. If you love all of the above AND prices that don't pinch ... add L'Thai to your list of restaurants worth finding. It's not easy to spot ... just plug the address into your GPS and head toward Tucker. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place!!!! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, set in a strip mall next to a sports bar. But inside, the ambiance is so nice, with a little tree and waterfall. The servers are polite and attentive. And the food?! Excellent!!! I crave the basil rolls here, the best I've tasted. So fresh and flavorful. And this place is great for vegetarians! They even sub tofu/veggies in soup, which most other spots don't do. I order the Tom Yum (?) soup w/ tofu and it's so good!! I've tried a few of the dishes and my favorites are the drunken noodles and the green curry. If you order the curry with tofu&veggies, you get a whole array of yummy veggies-- broccoli, zucchini, beans, bell peppers...nice that everything is organic too! I bought my parents, who were visiting from Memphis, here and they adored it too. Portions are big and prices are reasonable for the quality of food. So glad that I found this place:)

I accidentally found this place. It's so out of the way for me, I'm very much an intown girl, but I make a mandatory bi-weekly trip to get my Thai on here. The food is ALWAYS tasty, always quickly prepared, my only problem is I can't get off of my Panang Curry. I have to venture out more...sigh! One day. Pros: -Too tasty for words. Just typing is making me prepare for my trip tomorrow. They are the only ones that make me forget that I despise coconut milk, well coconut anything. -Organic -Quick, almost too quick. I take out every time I eat there (I love eating in the car, sue me) and I have to call them within 5 minutes driving time. -Quality service -Fairly priced. Not cheap, not high to me Cons: -Lunch menu ends too soon -Needs intown location. I would so upgrade to 2 visits a week...I WOULD! -Needs better take-out packaging. The plastic top always melts because the food is so hot, plus they could use compostable take-out bags and take-out boxes.

We visited for my wife's birthday. As we entered the restaurant, we noticed that it is a nice place, with cool lighting and a more elegant feel. So coming in with a toddler was not very welcome as far as I could tell. They weren't mean about it, no one else in the restaurant had a kid, and she was probably a little louder than they would have wanted. The menu is thorough, with everything on it having a wine pairing. So if you're into that, they've got quite a selection. We ordered the Basil Crispy Duck and the Pad Thai with chicken. The chicken in the Pad Thai seemed a little tough; definitely not tender. The flavors were good, but the portion size was average. I could have eaten more. The Duck was very good. It seemed like it was the equivalent of Bacon, but very yummy. I could eat that a lot, but it's probably not very healthy. We ended with the Mango and Coconut Sticky rice. This was magnificent! Wow. So yummy. Definitely try this out. So, it was pretty good, but a little pricey. I doubt we'll go back.

Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Georgia. Dishes are flavorful, organic and "authentic". Romantic interior with a koi pond. Owner is friendly and approachable and is very much involved with Georgia Organics. Very reasonably priced for quality of food and environment. If this restaurant was located in the city, it would easily be 3x or 4x the price. I love the yellow curry, green curry and mat-sa-man curry. I always order the yum-woon-sen salad and tom-yum or tom-ka soup. The tempura is the best around - very light and crispy batter. Kids have told me that their fried rice is the best they've ever had. And if you've never had durian "the king of all fruits" this is the place to try it. It's like garlic, almond, banana pudding-complex, but yummy. L' Thai is one of my favorite restaurants. I'll go here for special occasions and celebrations- birthday, valentine's day, and of course for those occasional Thai cravings..

Yum. The best Thai I have had in a long time. Great food. Great service. I had the Pad-See-Ew, my husband had the Mat-Sa-Man Curry. They were both delicious. They also have a great beer selection for those of us who aren't wine drinkers. The Vegetarian Sampler was also divine. We went with a large party & they did a great job of taking care of us. I don't really live close to this place, but it is worth the trip.

I rarely give fives and given the context of the competition in Atlanta this restaurant stands out. I recently took my parents and wife out to this remote location based in a strip mall. The restaurant interior is pleasant but very dimly lit. I advise the diner to possibly wear a Petzl lamp on his head or bring night vision goggles. The service here is good and efficient. We did not partake of wine this visit, but I would note that this place has a wine bar with a decent number of rotating selections. The food here is very traditional thai and overall quite tasty. Execution is excellent albeit the portions are on the smaller side. The peek gai (chicken wings) and basil seafood are delicious. The pla sam ros (three flavored fish) was also quite good. This restaurant is best enjoyed family style. Overall, L'Thai is worth the trek.

I finally ate here after several friends telling me how good it was - they weren't kidding! Truly one of the best Green Curry dishes I've had in a long while! I also got the spring rolls, and they were quite tasty too. I look forward to returning to try out more of the menu. The wine selection looked quite interesting.

I tried this restaurant based on reviews- I was very pleased. I had the garlic white pepper chicken with brown rice. Delicious!!! In fact, I was compelled to return 3 days days later for the same dish-it is so tasty. I ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer. I didn't care for the peanut sauce, it had a funny taste to it. The other sauce that came with the satay was very good- it was vegetable based with chopped cucumbers, red peppers and a light sauce. I will return this week and try the sea bass.

I visited this restaurant with my mom, and both of us are vegan. We were looking forward to having a whole vegetarian section to choose from, but when we asked our server if any of the veg dishes contained oyster and/or fish sauce (just to be safe), she said most of them do. (Which obviously makes them not even vegetarian, much less vegan.) I ordered the Pa-Nang Pak, since it was pretty much the only dish the server could confirm did not contain animal products. We ordered the dish to share, given the fact that pretty much any Asian restaurant's dishes are large enough to share. What we received was laughably small, especially given the price of 10.95. We had to ask for some tofu to go with it, and we were brought a tiny dish of about 6 small tofu cubes. The dish tasted very good, but I was still wary about whether it was truly vegan. I contacted the restaurant over three weeks ago via e-mail to inquire about which dishes are truly vegan-friendly, and I have yet to receive a response. I would rather spend my money at a total vegetarian restaurant so I know what I'm getting. Also, the booth seats are very uncomfortable. The only positives would be the atmosphere and the wine selection.

Love, love, love this place! My Hubby and I have had it for take-out numerous times and have eaten in twice-all great experiences. My sis-in-law who has tried all of the Thai places in New York says that this place tops them all! Efficient, polite service all around, great wine selection, and was very pleased with the wine pairings they did suggest. Was pleasantly surprised by their delicious homemade ice cream-yum! Definitely a hidden gem in Tucker.

This is my favorite Thai place hands down. The owner is awesome and knowledgeable. I feel healthy after eating there since the food is not all greesey. I crave their pad thai and spring rolls on a regular basis.

L'Thai is a really good suburban Thai place that promotes itself as "organic thai". There's definitely something to this, as their ingredients have a richer-than-average flavor taken by themselves. In the classic Thai combinations they come out just great. Their Massaman curry was quite good, and a couple other things I've sampled so far have also been excellent. I'm definitely putting this place into my rotation, even though it's out in the sticks by my standards.

I went to L'Thai to celebrate a friend's birthday. Despite being in a strip mall, the interior is fairly charming - the lighting, fake tree and koi pond create a nice atmosphere. The waitstaff were all very nice. Our service was a bit slow, but I imagine that had more to do with the size of our party (14) and not an indication of their normal speed. The menu had a wide variety of offerings including chinese style dishes in addition to the thai. For an appetizer, we went with the calamari. It wasn't the traditional ringlets, instead it was almost like french fries - either way, it was very good. For my entree, I got the sweet & sour chicken. It was very good, although I was a bit disapointed that it was chinese style rather than a thai take on it (as I was feeling adventurous)- I think I missed that the menu stated that page was the "chinatown" menu. My girlfriend got the basil chicken fried rice. It was a large portion with a nice mix of veggies. The requested extra spice certainly gave it a strong kick. The amount of basil may have been a bit overboard, but all in all, she enjoyed it. Others in the party also liked their orders - crispy duck, chili beef, sesame chicken, ginger beef and drunken noodles were all enjoyed. The only item that I heard wasnt that great were the veggie spring rolls. I'm not a huge fan of Thai food, but I enjoyed it and everyone in the party also gave positive reviews. In addition, as others have mentioned, it is very affordable.

AMAZING THAI FOOD!!! One of the only organic Thai food restaurants outside of Thailand! The restaurant is calming and relaxing with the sound of waterfalls and low lighting. The shrimp dishes are marvelous!! I'm hungry right now thinking about it! Located in a small retail center, this restaurant is not to be missed!! Probably one of the best Thai restaurants in all of ATLANTA ! The wait staff is terrific as well! All the dishes I've had are great tasting! If you're looking for quality food look no further - this place uses the freshest ingredients!

Simply put, this place is fabulous. The first time we went, my sister was in town with her family. My husband found this place on Yelp so we figured we'd try it out. It was the last night in town for my sister and her family so we were hoping for a great dining experience to send them off and boy, we were not disappointed!! My three-year-old nephew, who would rather play than eat at the table most of the time, devoured his spring rolls. He bit into one and loudly said, "Mmmmm!" His parents had to order him another plate. My husband and I got the crabmeat cheese rolls and let me just tell you- they are melt-in-your-mouth fantastic! I have had their L'Thai fried rice with pork and it's phenomenal. I have been several times and I liked the fried rice so much that I didn't venture from that the first few times I went there. A few months ago, my husband started a sort of "Dine Out Club." A group of us get together once a month and go out to eat to cool places like L'Thai. Last night, we went here on my husband's recommendation and it was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed it- several people ordered the crabmeat cheese rolls for the appetizer and by the looks of everyone's plates, the entire group seemed to enjoy their food. I had the sweet & sour pork and I couldn't stop eating it-even when I was getting full! It was perfectly cooked and the sauce was outstanding. The Jasmine rice has never failed me- it's simple, perfectly cooked rice. As someone who can't resist a fried banana dessert, L'Thai has the F.B.I.- which is three fried bananas w/ice cream- usually served with coconut and mango flavored ice cream but last night, they also had strawberry. The presentation of the food is elegant and simple. I also love the service here- the owner recognizes my husband and I now and he remembers little things like how my husband likes his food spicy. L'Thai is a fabulous dining experience with top-notch food & service.

I and my friends are regular customers here, and we've never, ever seen anything but a well-run, meticulously clean place with freshly prepared food. It's one of the prettiest restaurant interiors around (ie; a tree with sparkly lights, fountains and traditional clothing), and the food is consistently good. My favorites are the salads, the soups and the basil sauce entrees. The winelist is huge. It's easily accessible in a small strip mall near the intersection of Jimmy Carter and Lawrenceville Hwy.

I absolutely love dining here. From the food to the service, everything is always spectacular. We are a regular here and our waitresses always remember our usual and even what we have to drink, it's a phenomenon experience each time. The food is always fresh and everything is made perfectly each time. What made me finally got down to write this review is my last dine-in during a very busy night. I was astonished that service was still up to par even though it was full house that night. No matter how busy it gets, the waitresses always run our food/drinks smoothly. I happened to know from the waitress that it was the last weekend of groupon that is why it was so packed that night. Everyone work in such an upbeat style to get ensure customers are satisfy. I'm never disappointed when I dine here. From the time I step into the restaurant with a greet, to the many times they stop by to make sure everything is fine, and finally a sincere goodbye & thank you when we leave. We will miss one of our server that is leaving soon, but I believe i will still recieve the personal dine-in experience from the rest of the staff that we are familiar with. I hope that the restaurant's owner are proud and do acknowledge the wonderful staff that they got. Thanks for all the good gourmets & services, we will sure be back.

Went to L'Thai for lunch. Got the Massaman (mat-su-man?) currry. The food tasted very fresh and the service was great and fast. The only (small) complaint I would have is that the Massaman sauce was really sweet and I prefer it more savory and hot. I will definitely go back and try other dishes :)

Absolutely the best Thai food ... anywhere. We used to go to Tamarind, but L'Thai beats them hands down. All of their food is completely organic, and they have an impressive wine list.

Excellent Thai cuisine! Look past the surrounding strip mall businesses and sports bar next door, venture into L'Thai. Many organic and gluten free options. Very traditional so put down that smartphone and converse with company. Basil rolls yes, turmeric salmon soup amazing, and wild jungle shrimp extra spicy. Loved this meal and didn't break the bank.Try it if you're in the area.

Never a fail and I've been back too many times to count. The food is swangin'....very good thai and authentically prepared with predominantly organic ingredients....and prices that make you wanna slap your 2nd cousin! This is by far the best Thai food in Atlanta. The service is always very friendly. Try the spring rolls and and any of the curries....they are rich and creamy and made with coconut milk! I've tried the vegetarian pad ladna and the thai vegetables with basil sauce....yuuuuumy! The basil sauce is absolutely delish! Great atmosphere for a first date or a quiet evening away from home or a celebration with friends. Live piano music for dinner on the weekends...,,and the sound of their waterfall is oh so nirvana....one of the consistently best!

Went with colleagues today and had a roach crawl out of a napkin and silverware and go across the table. We notified our server and left. Never received apology from management about the incident. Was a frequent spot for lunch but after this, will not be returning.

After stone mountain my hubby and I craved Thai food so I used yelp to find this amazing place. The food was amazing, our server was courteous and frequently checked if we had any needs. The only bad review I can give is the rice came in small bowls and it was in such a small portion that my hubby had to order 3 more extra rice bowls. Other than that I recommend this place to everyone.

L'Thai is an awesome experience. It is our go-to place for special occasions, but is just as suited to casual lunches. The food is amazing and the menu extensive. Great wine, too. A scoop each of the homemade coconut and mango ice cream is a perfect treat at the end of a delicious and organic meal.

I've been wanting to try L'Thai for a while now. Previously, at a Yelp event a fellow yelper and his wife told my boyfriend and I about this place because I expressed how much I loved Thai food and couldn't find any quality Thai in my area. Clearly I wasn't looking hard enough. L'Thai is literally 5 minutes from my house & I've only been once but intend to go a few more times and often. I ended up getting the roasted duck. The duck came in a bowl with a delicious orange sauce and red/green peppers. I got it with jasmine rice which was cooked a little soft for my liking but nonetheless pretty good. The duck was cooked well but I'd have liked it a tad bit more tender. Overall, the meal was good. They have an extensive vegetarian menu and the menu states most dishes can be made vegetarian. Also, they are 70-80% gluten and organic. This alone will have me coming back and hopefully get WOW'd. Took the waitress a while to come and we had to ask for the check. This bothered me because I was more than tired and we had been sitting with finished plates and bowls for a while, but since she was friendly, I didn't mind. They also add 18% gratuity to split checks. (disclaimer: the menu has this on the bottom or the second page or so but they didn't add this gratuity to me and my friend's check, so not sure if they pick & choose who they add the tip to but be prepared.) In the end, I'll be back because the meal was good but I guess I was just expecting to be blown away. Expectations...

Where do I begin!! First the service is horrible!! The only waiter was an absolute jerk!! It takes a lot for me to get this way!! But what drew me into this restaurant was that it was in my generally area and the organic appeal!! Let me say, knowing authentic Thai when I taste it (I can boast a bit)!! The basil fried rice was oily as heck ( I specifically asked for lite oil)!! The waiter bought the food out in less thank 2 minutes (which indicates it was already pre made). That did not happen!! What a pity to some mainlands...have to serve/clean/ take orders at a south Asian restaurant. Sorry General Mao your red ways did not teach how to serve dinner guests!!

Well, we've been there a few ties and today we saw a cockroach run across our table. We remained calm and expected an apology or something from our waiter but nothing came and we had to leave. We looked for their health department score/inspection and it was not visible anywhere.

Today a group of coworkers and I went to lunch at L'Thai in Tucker. We arrived around 12:30pm and were quickly seated and attended to. The menu had a good variety and prices were fairly cheap (most meals ranged from $8-$10, for the non-specialty items of course). The waiter (I want to say his name is Erwin, but I am not positive), took our orders. The wait for food wasn't long; they brought out our spring rolls and soups within 10 minutes after ordering. Then Erwin came back to double check with one of us to make sure he had ordered the chicken with his dish. And then it happened. I see something move on the wall behind one of my coworkers....it's a cockroach (see picture attached). Whatever, I understand cockroaches can find their way into any place.... but what was shocking was that the waiters had seen us taking pictures of this thing running around, and proceeded to do nothing about the cockroach. At the very least they could have apologized or even tried to remove it. We get over the cockroach incident (it is still running around on the ledge behind our table), and our food arrives. I had the Pad Kee Mao, more commonly known as drunken noodles, which I have to admit were pretty amazing. Everyone else at my table was pretty satisfied with their meals as well. The only minor issue was that the person who ordered the chicken with his dish was served shrimp with his dish instead. C'mon Erwin-- You just came over and verified that it was supposed to be chicken only a few minutes before the food came out!! Erwin comes over after we finish eating to ask if we wanted separate checks. When we said yes, he gave us a look like we just pissed him off. He eventually brought the separate checks, and we all paid with cards. Somehow he ended up charging two separate checks with the same card; probably wasn't a good day for our waiter. Overall, we had come here because another coworker claimed this was the best Thai restaurant in all of Georgia. The food was definitely very good, I won't deny it. But this place is not the best Thai restaurant in Georgia. This would have received 4/5 starts if the service wasn't so bad and had the cockroach incident not happened. In short: -Pros: Great food, cute atmosphere, can seat large groups -Cons: Cockroach incident, service

I came once. It was pretty good. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good food. Price is little high but I guess it is because it is organic. But overall yummy place. It is near Jimmy Carter and Lawrenceville Hwy.

Went to taste the crispy duck meal and was disappointed. It was not what I expected and for that reason I did not enjoy my meal. My Sister and Nieces sesame chicken was delicious as was my Mothers basil salmon. Her dish was also very decorative. All in all since it was so far out I can not say I would return.

Thai food is so very fresh and authentic! I spent 2 months in Thailand last year and have to say this is the best Thai I have had in the States. The food is amazingly beautiful and flavorful and the beverages are wonderful. My cabernet was only $6.50 and was very smooth. My husband had a dark beer that made him very excited. At 8pm on Saturday night there was a beautiful keyboard player that added to the romantic atmosphere. The restaurant is in a strip mall but once inside you will have a night to remember. The staff was also attentive and made us feel very welcome.

I asked about ordering take out and the server looked displeased and sent me over to the bar area. A very nice woman came over and took my order. She told me because I wanted to substitute eggplant for meat I would need to pay an extra dollar (ok, fine) and ended up charging me a little more than what I had asked for but whatever, it's only a few dollars. The server that I dealt with before came over and left my order on the counter in front of me. I thanked him and her and was completely ignored. I get home and the food is completely bland, and not what I ordered. I thought this place would be perfect, but I will never be back.

Curry mussel soup excellent and recommended as is vegetable maybe even better. "Wild Jungle Chili" vegetable curry was OK, fresh assortment of vegetables. Tofu with "Gingerine sauce" was pleasant surprise. Better picks this trip, excellent little restaurant with very good vegetarian choices, I'll be back again.

*Good vegetarian and vegan selection (a special menu section for us plus anything else can be made with tofu) *Very hospitable and knowledgable service (took great care to assure us there is no fish sauce in our food and to ask us whether we are okay with either dairy or eggs for dessert [fear not, their mango sticky rice has neither]) *The quality of the food is good as well; tastes fresh and presented well (maybe might have wanted slightly more quantity but I'm always a hungry eater). For appetizers, the vegetarian fresh basil roll is a hit, filled with lots of vegetables and a really tasty dipping sauce. For entrees, I got garlic pepper tofu made just as spicy as I wanted (hot but not fire-breathing) and my wife got the yellow curry. For dessert, we got the mango sticky rice as noted and it had a nice brown rice combination instead of the usual white rice *Some find the decor cheesy but I liked it; the tree in the middle and a fish pond on the side; for those complaining, it's a suburban restaurant in a little strip mall in Tucker...what the hell do you expect? *Price wasn't horrible; $40 (w/o tip) for appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert

I really like this restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. I love the garlic pepper tofu and the pad thai is excellent. The masaman curry isn't the best I've ever had, but it is very good. The spring rolls are vegetarian and delicious. Service is always excellent. My only complaint is that this restaurant isn't as clean as it should be. The wall moldings and paint are dirty and the bathroom is not very clean. The atmosphere is pleasant and serene, but someone needs to scrub the place down.

Sad that I finally got to visit L'Thai since I don't live far. However, I"ve gone to the Smyrna location since it's closer to work for me. I actually liked it a lot. yelp.com/biz/l-thai-west… I have to go back and try another dish there since I had high expectations from the original location. For the Tucker L'Thai, it gets a solid 5 stars for the variety of food that is offered on the menu. It's not as nice as the Smyrna one, to me. I met up with friends on a late Friday night. The staff is friendly and attentive. We were all a little underwhelm with the food that was brought to us for the lack of flavors. The papaya salad was just tasteless. It's bland. I thought it would be more authentic but nope, it's waterdown Americanize. Okay, fine...everyone makes papaya salad differently, I actually prefer Lao or Hmong style anyways. I ordered tofu chili, Thai hot. It was more sweet than hot. I had to ask for extra peppers. The brown Jasmine rice isn't like something I've made before too. I was a little surprise at the reddish purplish color than being brown. I tasted the tofu rice with noodles, Thai Hot, the flavors were on point. That dish was good. So was the Pad Kee Mow. Two great dishes. But Chicken curry was sweet, no salt, but creamy. Chicken Larb was tasteless, not enough flavors. Pad Sukiyaki was too salty. I could go on. The ambience is good. Food is a hit or miss. I miss the authentic Thai flavors.

My job requires me to travel which, as a result I am constantly on the search for awesome food and I have been on a Thai Kick here lately. I wasn't expecting much in this "industrial" section of Atlanta but HOLY COW, what a find. L'Thai is simply put, amazing. It is in a non descript strip center littered with "for lease" signs. Walking in I was warmly greeted and led to a booth near the window. We passed a BIG TREE in the center of the dining space, but all is forgiven when the food was this darn good. I opened the menu and read the Mantra of the place and it centered around health, good living and great food through using high quality ingredients. 85% of the ingredients used are organic, grass fed, hormone free, tree hugger type stuff which is wonderful in my opinion. As a function of my business I really appreciate quality ingredients. Started off with the Chicken Satay which is a treat for me since I was traveling alone and left the vegetarian wife at home. Nicely grilled chicken tenders on a skewer with a fresh salsa accompaniment and perfectly spiced peanut sauce, the salsa was perfect and provided that fresh taste that you long for in a traditionally boring dish. For my entrée Pas See Ew no peppers, add basil. This was brought out while I was still enjoying the Satay, but it was packed on the plate in such a way that the under portion stayed hot. Pad See ew was prepared perfectly, it was not greasy and the addition of the basil added that perfect oomph to the dish that made it really "wake up". When I first stirred the noodles the basil and steam hit me in the face which immediately smiled since as I have said before makes me happy. Great job L'Thai. If you decide to expand to Charlotte I will happily admit now that I will need form a support group to help with my addiction!

The food was delicious! their wine menu so many choices and the riesling was delicious. The red curry with mixed the seafood is very good as well. This location is very different from other Thai restaurant in Atlanta, it's really nice a bit more on the expensive side. However for organic food is not too pricey

This place has been bookmarked on my yelp! app for what seems to be eons! I have actually tried to get here on several different occasions, but something always comes up. Last week, SO and I finally ventured here. The restaurant had a few tables filled when we arrived. There was a large and very loud group of ladies as well as group of four and what looked like another couple on a date. The restaurant itself is nice enough, there is a large palm tree in the middle decorated with multi-color lights and a soothing waterfall in the back. Personally, I think simply switching the lights to a dim white would really bring the place together, but thats just my opinion Having heard and read so many great things about this place, I dove right into the menu. I ordered the crispy basil duck and SO ordered a spicy noodle dish. Sorry, I can't remember it since I didn't get to have any of his as it was over my spicy comfort limit. For an app, we shared the flash fried basil rolls. The basil rolls were flash fried, meaning they were crunchy on the outside but still retained the "freshness" of a basil roll. It was pretty good, although I think i will order the regular basil roll next time as these were hard to keep from falling apart after one bite which meant that you had to inhale the whole piece in if you wanted to avoid that. My entree was rather disappointing. I am used to my duck being more flavorful. This felt like it was just drowning and overpowered in the thick, sticky brown syrup. Since the restaurant is very dim, I actually used a flashlight app to make sure that there was actual duck on my plate. The duck was not so much crispy as it was jerky like and pretty difficult to eat in a civilized manner. But duck is a pretty hard thing to cook, so a part of my is pretty understanding about it. Maybe I am just too used to how Yum Yum Thai makes their duck after all these years. SO said his dish was just OK, but it wasn't on a level where he would be rushing their door for his next Thai craving. Our server was nice and checked on us throughout our meal and towards the end of our meal even gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing to see if we wanted to order anything else. I think that I will have to come back and give them another try before I make my final decision on this place. On the good notes, the flavors were pretty good and authentic in an organic kind of way. I don't know if that makes any sense, but growing up part Thai, it lacked the SE flavors I am accustomed to. I did like how I didn't feel like I was about to be sick after eating which is more often than from all the chemicals and products that other restaurants put into their cooking

Panang curry and prik king with chicken and brown rice are favorites at L'Thai. The menu indicates vegetarian and gluten-free options. The choices abound though. You'll find plenty of free parking. We've always had terrific service here. We've been here on the weekends and sometimes they have live piano music.

I've driven by this place over a hundred times, literally. Tonight, I wanted Thai but I didn't want to drive across town to my usual place. I decided to give this place a try. I had the traditional Pad Thai and spring rolls. The spring rolls were average. But...the Pad Thai was AMAZING. The ingredients were fresh and crisp. The flavors were heaven on my taste buds. I can't believe I passed by this gem of flavors so many times.

L'Thai, thank you for being so vegan friendly! This is the first time I've eaten Thai where I've honestly felt like I can trust that what I eat won't have fish sauce or other non vegany stuff in my food. They make a point of exclaiming that their dishes are safe for us to eat, and that all of their food is fresh and organic. My husband and I had the Massaman curry with tofu and it was delicious. The portions were a pretty decent size and I ended up having enough left over to take to work the next day. The decor is rather cute with a big artificial tree "growing" out of the middle of the space. We stared and talked about that while waiting for our food. I wish they would open a location in the city because we would definitely eat here all the time!

OMG! Sticky rice w/jackfruit. Get two! Seriously though, ignore the giant tree in the middle of the room. The plasticky waterfall. The unassuming shopping center location. This is hands down the most satisfying, feel-good Thai food experiences I've ever had. First off, most ingredients are organic. The BEEF is grass fed and organic. HONESTLY, where else in the country can you get this? (I Googled...there aren't many.) Thailand even recognizes this restaurant. (The Thai king has an organic garden, I was told.) Basil Rolls: Not your traditional stuffed with lettuce and bland shrimp. Vegetarian, shredded beet, carrots, lettuce. A total burst of fresh. A salad in a roll. Palate cleansing. Curries are excellent (ask Mark the server which one he likes and listen to him!) as are the noodle dishes like Pad See Ew. Less saucy, not greasy at ALL like other Thai restaurants. TIP: You can get brown rice with your meal, and it's done excellently here. 3/4th brown, and 1/4th black rice, for a nice, nutty, clean taste. The sticky rice is fragrant jasmine rice, with black mixed in, making it a beautiful purple hue. Drizzled with coconut sauce...I could eat THREE of these! Just go. It's not fancy, it's just good. PS: Pics here! lifeduringthecommercialb…

Tasty Thai food. Pretty close to the real thing that I've had in Thailand. I have had the Pa-nang curry and the Ma-Sa-something curry. Prices are good and the service is fast for those that want a quick lunch break at work. It's also nice and quiet, which is great for unwinding a bit.

The restaurant with the tree in the middle. Decided to try it for a late lunch and we were the only party in the place. The service was fine. The wine bar was intriguing. We each a roll to start - tasty! Then we shared the sausage balls - not my favorite. The meal made up for the sausage though. Both the pad Thai and the grass fed beef with cashew sauce were very good! After several more visits: The restaurant needs a good cleaning/painting inside. The menu is a bit overpriced for dinner. Lunch is a better deal. My daughter loves the fish pond, aquarium, and occasional live music. And the wine is good!

Me love L'Thai, long time! This is our favorite spot! I've also shared this best kept secret with friends and family. Every dish is just top notch! From the start the Lavender Tea is refreshing and nice...even without sweetening. The Flash Fried Basil Rolls...you should order them two at a time. So good and naturally flavorful. It's as if they take the time to select the best produce to ensure we will enjoy every course. Too many dishes to suggest. But, love all of their Salmon dishes, Chicken, Curry, Fried Rice options and appetizers. This place is also known for there cultural delicacies! Pulut Durian or Sweet Sticky Rice and Durian, my all time favorite desert. Now, be warned, it naturally smells horrible. But, it tastes so so good. It tickles me to order this for friends. They refuse to try it. But, when they do...we ALWAYS order a second order. Happy Eats!

Came to this place at 9:45 and they close at 10. The server said we can't sit and eat only take out. Why are they open till 10 then? Places close the kitchen at the closing time... Not half hour before the closing time. There ppl still sitting at the restaurant who hadn't received their food. Server had sarcasm, and was not very hospitable... Wouldn't even go to try this place just Cus of the horrible service.

Um..... Yes I am here now and I like it. I will come back! Talk about vegan friendly! Yes they are a bit slow on service, but I think its because they are not abiding by the standard american rushed mentality. The atmosphere is very relaxing which it should be while consuming food.

This place was very tasty. I was so happy to see that they try their best to use organic food , no GMO, and no MSG. They also had a ton of vegetarian food and gluten free options. We ordered the chicken larb, a curry crab cake, prawn pasta, and tofu masaman curry. The crab cake was sooooooooo good I would love to order 5-6 of them and just chow down! The pasta was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of spicy kick. I ordered the masaman tofu Thai spicy and it was wonderful! I would highly suggest this place to anyone. They also had a guy playing live jazz that was pretty good. The staff was very attentive.

ALERT! A hole in the whole for sure. I've passed this place so many times off Lawrenceville Hwy and never seen it until today and decided to stop by for lunch. First off, the atmosphere here is so natural. The decor is very organic and thai-based designs from the paintings to the dining furniture. The fish pond inside adds on to the ambiance with the water pouring. The music playing is all instrumental ranging from classical to piano, which is very soothing and relaxing. The food is very good. They strive to use mostly USDA approved items and organic produce. A lot of the items are home-made, which definitely adds on to the authenticity. The plates are decorative and well-prepared. Pricing for lunch is right on for the portions ($7-$12). Dinner will, of course, be a little more pricey. Everything was tasty. The food my sister and I ordered are: APPETIZER: - Tempura Calamari (an appetizer we got, but it was just okay. kinda too greasy. I do like the fact that a piece of seaweed paper is placed underneath. For me, it just adds on to the seafood feel. Don't ask me why. Haha) ENTREE: -Chicken Basil Fried Rice with Soup of the Day/ Egg Roll: This dish was deliciously good. They're definitely not stingy with the basil, which made this dish so important. my sister had ordered this with the soup of the day, which was a mushroom tofu curry soup, which was also tasty with a hence of lime. -Chicken Panang Curry with Brown Rice and Spring: I ordered this entree for lunch. You can also choose steam rice or a soup. What can I say, it was a level one spice dish and it was delicious. The curry was creamy with a hence of spice. I also like that they use all 3 color bell peppers (yellow, green, and red). This added on some artwork and color to the plate. DRINKS: -Thai Tea: I had to order one of my favorite drinks to try for to-go. No complaints. Overall experience was exceptional. Service was on point. Definitely try this place out! P.S. - My new Thai cuisine, L'THAI!

I like Thai as does my wife. We are picky. SO, 5 star Thai is a big deal for us. I understand organic Thai is rare. I hear this place is recognized by the King of Thailand and the Royal Thai Government. The only complaint I have is that their menu is extensive, I have never seen one like this. Given that this was our first visit we tried some old standbys... Spring Rolls for starters - excellent - served with sweet sauce in shot glasses. Very hot - fresh - super crispy. So far, so good. Masaman Beef, Pad-Thai Chicken - the main dishes. Served with a smallish bowl of super good brown rice - Just enough. The Masaman was bursting with flavor - perfect curry - this has to be the best I have tasted. Pad-Thai - also excellent, not greasy like many places. excellent flavor. Coconut ice cream was also great - you get two large scoops, leave room. Best Thai food I have eaten. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu. I can't believe it's in Tucker. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside... very pleasant inside. Thai places don;t tend to have high end decor, this doesn't either, but on the "Thai Scale" this is on the nicer end. With two $6 glasses of wine, the total was $50. Not bad for a great meal. A bit more than the average Thai, but well worth it just for the fact that it's all organic. When you consider how well they spice their food - it's a great deal. We will be back here with friends, and will likely have to declare this to be our favorite Thai ....

I've eaten L'Thai several for lunch, dinner and take out, and it is so fresh, I almost miss the funk of the little dive places. Curries and seafood are a highlight, while the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai are mushy disappointments. Beef Salad is fantastic. I don't mind paying more so they can buy organic supplies, but the $2 up-charge for veggies in the curry on a $30 tab for two basic dishes is just annoying. The price/quality ratio doesn't work out here. Bonus: they use recyclable materials for the to-go orders. Thank you for not using styrofoam! Cheers~

I go there for their coconut sticky rice. I usually get mango sticky rice, but they use a special organic thai black rice that I haven't seen or had anywhere else in American Thai restaurants (throughout dif cities) Not very expensive, tasty, non-greasy organic food. They also host they cool health seminars about varying topics such as diabetes prevention, digestive issues (eg. colitis) et cetera. Definitely a must-try

L'Thai is the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. The food is very fresh, the restaurant is very clean, and the staff is attentive. I am only giving it four stars because the vegetarian dishes need more tofu (mine only came with four pieces). It is great, btw, that they have the option of getting tofu steamed as opposed to deep fried!

I went back to L'Thai for lunch with my boyfriend after telling him how great it was. I had been craving coconut soup and we were in the area. This was my 3rd time there and by far the worst. Like I probably wouldn't go back. Coconut soup comes with the meal, except not with chicken only with tofu. No problem for me - I gladly will pay extra for what I want and I want chicken. BF took his with tofu. The soup was so bitter I couldn't eat more than two bites. So I paid extra, waited longer (BF's arrived in 3 minutes, mine took 10) and then the server didn't even ask if something was wrong, just took my soup away after noticing I hadn't eaten any of it. Pretty disappointing. My curry was missing the cashews, which is kind of a key ingredient, but the flavor was still good. Just a little letdown that I didn't get it the way it was supposed to be. Our server spent the majority of the time chatting with people he knew at a table across the room (the place was empty except for the two tables of people - ours and his friends) and paid us no mind. Worst part of all had to be my boyfriend telling me that he knows a much better Thai place we can go next time. I hate when he wins!

So for some reason, even though my wife and I are BIG fans of Thai cuisine AND not traveling too far from home unless we need to, we'd somehow missed that this place even existed, much less that it's only a few miles away from home. All other things being equal, we'd love for all of our food to be organic, and we appreciated the title page of the menu that shares a bit about this restaurant's philosophies on cuisine and life, but we suspended our real opinions until we'd tasted the food. And it was superb. Superb, as in, we can't stop thinking about it. It's now been a day later and writing this review is the only thing that's keeping me connected enough to the experience and moment of it all (yesterday), that I don't get up from my office desk right now to drive straight there and get more of it. We're not so new at this whole 'eating out' thing to not appreciate the subjective nature of singular experiences... Some are good, some are great, and some not so much... But we also know that great places have a few hallmarks of... well... 'great' places... One such talisman are the critical mass of positive reviews to be found here on Yelp... and another is ordering the most basic menu item (masaman curry) and having it shock and awe both of our sets of taste buds with a flavor that has us pining to return. We will be back... probably as soon as this weekend.

It really pains me to write this review as this place has been my favorite Thai restaurant in Tucker since we moved here two years ago despite the fact that is more expensive than others in the area and the portions are also smaller. The quality was always exceptional. Unfortunately we took some friends here to show them that Tucker is not such a bad place to live. Well, our server (who is usually the bartender) was quite rude with us. Not sure what we did. He seemed really annoyed that we were taking some time to decide what to eat because we were talking and catching up with each other. We asked him for a drink menu, and he brought us a wine and cocktail menu. Their sodas and other beverages were not listed on this menu. I asked him if they had a nonalcoholic beverage menu and he said in a mocking tone, "You mean like a bubble tea menu or something? No, we don't sell that here." He seemed to roll his eyes after saying this. So I asked him about their lavender tea since another reviewer said it was excellent. Perhaps it was at the Smyrna location, but he said they didn't have any. Again something was very off about his attitude. He was very snappy about it. Well, we ordered the dumplings and basil rolls for our appetizers. I am vegan so I did not eat the dumplings. The basil rolls were fine. they were not as fragrant and fresh as usual. The dumplings were more like Shu Mai that you would get at a Chinese dim sum place than dumplings. Well, my dinner companions had mostly finished the dumpling dish, when one caught eye of something strange on the spoon the dumplings were steamed in. A dead cooked roach. We brought it to our servers attention who seemed unsympathetic to us and and asked us if we wanted to cancel our dinner orders. Of course we do! We asked him if he wanted us to pay for our appetizers, and he said to just leave if we wanted and waved us off. We did. And we won't be going back. Even more disturbing is that my boyfriend spoke with another restaurant employee who said this was not an isolated incident and they have had several issues recently with bugs in their food. Ugh! By the way the date we visited was 6/11/14.

The food and atmosphere here were pretty good and I had a lovely time with my family. We were a party of five and I was able to try several dishes. However, after returning home, I realized that I was bothered by the gratuity that was added on to our bill when we were a party of five with one single check. It states that they will add 18% on parties of 6 or more or for split checks. So, I wonder why they would add it on for a party of five. I wonder, I wonder, I wonder. But not really, I know why. Since I didn't pay the check and since this disturbance didn't make its way to the front of my consciousness until I got home, I did not get the opportunity to ask them about it. I would call them tomorrow (it's too late now), to ask them why this happened, but I don't want to hear their lame, bullshit excuse about how they made a mistake. I will never return here.

Always tastes fresh with great flavors! You can't beat this restaurant for the quality, service, or atmosphere. It truly is a gem. Never had a bad meal here but I love the garlic pepper chicken with brown rice. They also have an extensive wine list including organic options.

This place is awesome. It is my new "go to" place for a delicious, healthy lunch in Tucker. The food was excellent. Well seasoned and not too salty. The service was very good too. I had to change my rating to a five. I've now eaten at both locations: Tucker and Marietta multiple times. You cannot go wrong with this choice. Visited again on 8/11/14- the food was off. I posted a pic of the Lard Nar. You could smell something burning when you walked through the door. When I got my noodles, they tasted like that smell. They were stuck together and burned in places. Definitely the worst dish I've had here. And since I read the recent comments concerning their sanitation, I won't be back. Unless you think roaches are organic and vegan, I'd avoid this place.

One of my friends used to work at L'Thai years ago and she recommended this restaurant for a group of us to meet for dinner one night. Apparently, it's the first organic Thai restaurant outside of Thailand. The thought of eating organic Thai food has never crossed my mind. It's certainly an interesting concept. L'Thai has even been recognized by the King of Thailand and the Royal Thai Government. A group of four of us went on a weeknight and the restaurant wasn't busy. The left half of the restaurant is where the wine bar is located. According to the menu, they have over 100 organic wines and beer. The bar was empty on our visit. The dining area has tables and booths surrounding a giant tree in the center that looms above you. There's also a small waterfall at one end of the restaurant. I guess they really want to give customers the full natural and organic experience. L'Thai's menu is quite extensive. They have one of the largest Thai menus I've seen in Atlanta. The few dishes I tried were: Three Flavors Red Snapper Lard-Nar Roasted Chili Pork Overall, the dishes were very good. I think the "three flavors" in the snapper dish are supposed to be: sweet, tangy, and spicy. The snapper is fried and served with onions and bell peppers in chili sauce. Good flavors. My friend recommended the lad na ("Lard-Nar" on the menu), a common Thai dish which consists of wide noodles served in a thick brown bean sauce with broccoli and carrots. I added dried red chili flakes to make the dish spicy. The roasted chili pork consisted of a pork tenderloin served with onions, bell peppers, and snow peas in chili sauce. The pork was tender and savory. Since the dishes at L'Thai are organic, the prices are higher than a typical Thai restaurant. Generally, about $2-3 more. For example, plates of fried rice start at $11.95. Service was great. There's a second location called L'Thai West in West Village, a mixed-use development in Smynings (Smyrna-Vinings).

This is a gem of a spot. We had the organic basil spring rolls . . . to die for!!! I had basil beef with grass-fed beef. SO yummy! Food with a conscience! WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Also, quite a wine list. : )

Have been eating here for years so thought I should finally throw up a review. My usual favorites here include the tom kha soup, wonton soup, chicken satay, basil beef and duck curry. The flavoring and quality is great. And, I really appreciate that they don't use MSG in any of their cooking. Service is quick and friendly. This is definitely one of our favorite local place to eat for dine-in or take out.

One of the better Thai places in the Atlanta area. The food is excellent. The owner is really big on organic and sustainable farming and his menu reflects that. He used to support the Georgia Organics Field of Greens food festival out at Whippoorwill(?) farm, although I'm not sure he still does. While I've been here eight or nine times, this time I tried the Wild Jungle curry with calamari and brown rice. Great taste, nice and spicey, maybe sauce could be thickened up a bit. We also had both basil roll appetizers - fresh and fried. Both good, although the fried is way tastier. Huge beer list, including a bunch of organic beers. Normally good service, but it's been a bit iffy once or twice for no apparent reason. This time our server was very attentive, friendly and efficient.

Pro Yelp Tip: If you use google maps on your iPhone and look this place up, you'll end up in a neighborhood in Tucker. If this happens to you, look for the Home Depot. L'Thai is right behind it. Anyway, after being an hour late for our reservations, we kept our nice table for four. The food came out fast and it was great. I highly recommend the soups. They are made with veggie broth so it's twice the fun. Also, the curry is fantastic -- spicy and full of flavor. If you are hungry try the black rice/mango desert. It has a lot of flavor without being heavy. As for the service, L'Thai is pretty up there. Our water cups have been kept filled throughout the night. The food was fast and the owner even came down to say hi and tell us about our food.

Love that the food is almost 100% organic. Great quick service. The General Tso's Chicken tasted less sugary and syrupy from your typical Chinese restaurant: it was authentic and soy-based, not pumped full of sugar. They cook in olive oil instead of canola or peanut. It makes a real difference. The food was healthier and tastier. Really a hidden little gem. So glad we took a chance based on the positive Yelp reviews. Support this organic nice place! Coconut shrimp appetizer was yummy.

Food was great! Lots of choices for fresh, vegan or gluten free, if that's your thing. I love that everything is organic! Better than that it tasted wonderful. I had the veggie tempura. Tempura was fresh and crisp. Veggies were cooked perfectly. Dipping sauce was tasty. Then has lemon grass soup. Crisp and tart! Could have done without the chicken added. My husband had chicken satay, which I love! Chicken was tender and wonderful. My friends had curry (not my thing), but they said it was good. Then we just had to have some dessert. The mango was fresh and ripe with coconut sauce. Yum!

It was our first time visit to restaurant for lunch. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Food was truly fresh, organic and made on the spot when ordering. Organic wine was delightful. Basil sauce for basil spring roll was DELICIOUS! House recipe as we asked for the ingredients. Definitely a place to visit for the vegetarian palette. We will definitely be back for lunch and dinner.

I have eaten at L' Thai more than 5 times now and have enjoyed most of the experiences. If it is your first time here I have a few recommendations: - Let the staff know you are are a first timer, they will help you identify dishes that you would like and give you that extra attention that you need. (Service can be a little slow otherwise.) - Start with an appetizer platter (add basil rolls if not included in this dish) and soup. Just to get you in the mood and sample a variety of their offering. Then split an entree, ask for recommendations from the staff. - If you are in a hurry ask for the bill before you need it, service is slow but unobtrusive! The food is excellent and slightly more expensive than other Thai fair you might find due to the quality of the organic ingredients. Portions are on the smaller side of typical. Definitely a great place to take a date, but not the place to go if you have been camping in the woods for a week and need FOOD! The flavors can be delicate and complicated not Americanized, and so might be lost of some of it's clientele. Overall it will be a great experience if you expect slower service and want to take your time exploring your food. Definitely worth a drive!

Went into this place with very high expectations due to the reviews. I will say that the service was good and the food was ok, but nothing that blew my socks clean off. I thought the food here was good but it was quite pricey to try any of the signature dishes. I got the phad see ew noodle here as I always do at new places I go to and it was average. Id go back but theres other places in town that i think are a bit better and in my price range.

It is difficult to write a review about a place when you've not tasted the food nor even been inside. But I have been outside the restaurant, peering through the glass wondering why it was not open. The hours on Yelp! for Saturdays list noon. Even the restaurant's own site lists the hours as opening at noon on Saturdays. Turns out this restaurant does not open until 3pm on Saturdays. Funny thing is, there were 3 other cars there also expecting the place to be open at noon. So the L'Thai folks lost 3 or 4 tables by not being open at the times listed on the internet. So while deciding where to go to eat, I called their number. It rang and rang and rang with no answer. Is the business still open? I don't know. What I do know is that if you run a business and have a website - keep it up to date with the correct hours and have an answering service that states your name and your hours. Incorrect information gives the impression you don't care about your customers. Take a couple of minutes and fix the information. Or how about opening at noon on Saturdays and get more customers. If on an ordinary Saturday there were 4 cars of patrons at noon, I would imagine that it happens every Saturday. Had I known the correct hours, I would have waited until 3pm to go there and maybe given it many more stars. But since the location is not close, I don't know if I will bother to go back and try it.

So my fiance found this restaurant on yelp on our way to return a DVD at Walmart. She was craving Thai and saw this restaurant sign with a heart that dotted the "i" and thought that was cute. So she looked it up on my phone and we decided to give it a try. When you walk in, the first thing that immediately catches your eye is a tree in the middle of the restaurant. Very cool and not something you see every day. Beyond the tree is a koi pond with a very soothing sound of water that, along with the dim lighting, made it a very romantic setting. For dinner I had the basil beef that proved to be very flavorful. My fiance had the panang curry, which I thought had sauce that was a little on the thick side. The menu promises you the freshest most nutritious meal they can provide. Though the menu was a little pricey, the food was well worth it and the waitstaff were extremely courteous. We even got mint patties with our bill. The restaurant is a little hard to find, but I believe it's a hidden gem and definitely worth a visit the next time you're in the area.

What a wonderful little find in this area, now i'll admit that it looking at the place from the outside it appears to be a little suspect being next to the Gold Rush sports bar and all. Thai is one of my favorite cuisines and would probably eat it all the time if I could. So you can see why i'd be excited about eating at this place. First off the atmosphere is really nice, pretty much a perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Tried everything from the Spring Rolls, Pad Thai to the mango ice cream. Now nothing that I had was terrible but I wasn't really blown away by the food either. Would I come back here again? yes because it's not too far from where I live and if i'm closer to this side of town & crave Thai i'd give it a try again. I really want to love them, I really do.

I have neen wanting to try this place for over a year now. Finally we did. We went in between lunch and dinner time so there were only few tables that were occupied. As for the menu, it is huge, mostly organic and local produce . Although I have had bad experience in ordering duck previously in other Tai restaurants, I thought this may be a good place to try it again. I took their roasted duck plate. The sauce was wonderful and the vegetables were great but I still did not like the amount of skin and fat in the duck pieces. Later I learned that their other duck plate uses breast and it is less fatty but it is fried. My companion took their fried grouper but with the red snapper plate sauce. It was wonderful, and very tasty. As for desert , we took their mango ice-cream which they make in house. It was good but not the best I have tasted. I forgot to mention that I have not seen such a large selection of organic beers and wines anywhere else. It was a plus for me.

Went on Friday night at 7:30. They were fairly busy but we were seated immediately. There was a LARGE party of about 30 people at one long table. We thought it might take forever to get served. but our waitress showed after just a few minutes. While we waited we looked around and took in the place. It was pretty spotless, they have a huge (10 ft. high) artificial Ficus tree in the center of one side and usually restaurants are not good at keeping plants clean. This gigantic tree was spotless, not a visible speck of dust or anything else showed. Overall the place is very attractive, while slightly dated, and clean. We ordered a bottle of Zinfandel thinking the peppery taste would go well with our dinners, mat-sa man curry w/ vegetables and spicy pepper tofu. It did go well and the meals were exceptional. The curry was delicious with the coconut milk softening the slight spiciness but not too sweet. While not a big tofu fan my companion loved theirs. Thai custard and mango ice cream for dessert were a great ending. I am pretty tough on restaurants and this was our first visit but first impressions are important in the restaurant business. Overall L'Thai will be added to our short list.

I've had multiple curry options here and they are all amazing. The curry broth itself is creamy and delicious! I would recommend any curry dish for a newcomer. The service was attentive and very nice as well. The decor of the restaurant is really unique and has a great indoor forest theme-- I was really impressed with the work they put in to make it something special. As someone who appreciates good Thai food, I would definitely come here again when I'm in Georgia.

Have heard good things from a friend about this place, and took a chance. First impression: Clean, professional, good service. Not too pompous. Place wasn't too busy (went on a sunday afternoon). Place has a separate bar with a TV i believe in case you want to grab some drinks. The drink menu is pretty extensive, the food menu is typical Thai. Ordered the food, basil rolls had no shrimp in them, but were pretty delicious. Had chicken coconut soup, and crispy yellow chicken i believe. Everything was delicious. Portions are smaller than accustomed to, but overall i am really happy with my experience. Noticed also that we were given a small rice ball instead of the large covered rice platter. We were waited by two different people who took turns, which kind of made a really good impression. I/we felt like we were constantly waited on, a big plus. Overall i am extremely satisfied. Didn't give the place 5 stars because of the smaller portions. I will definitely return.

Oh my goodness, SO GOOD. First off, they almost automatically get 5 stars for having vegetarian soup. YAY!!!!! I got some tom-kha soup, which was absolutely delicious. My mom got fried tofu and spring rolls (2 appetizers for dinner!) and I believe my Dad got some sort of yellow curry with shrimp. I got basil tofu, which again, really hit the spot. My Dad and I also split a bottle of sauvignon blanc, which was a really good price ($22!) and was delicious. Somehow we amazingly had enough room for dessert. We REALLY wanted to get their dessert with mango and sweet coconut rice, but since mangoes are out of season, they couldn't prepare it. I tried some of mom's black rice sweetened with coconut milk, and it was great. My Dad got mango ice cream, which he really enjoyed - I actually saw a lot of people ordering ice cream at the end, so they must have some good stuff. I also shared some fried bananas, which were again, amazing. Service here was friendly without being overbearing. Everyone here was super nice. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this place. For it all being organic, I thought everything seemed reasonably priced. This place has some of the best thai food I've had in a while. I cannot wait to go back!

O yeh this is it! Man this was good. What really solidified this as a five star was the crab cake, not that it was phenomenol, it was good, but i had such doubts about it that when it came i was shocked. The spring rolls are great as well.We had the mat-sa-man curry and the l'thai fried rice which were both great and ended with the fried banana and ice cream dessert. In conclusion EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.If Thai food can get better than this i have a trip to Thailand i need to book.

When searching for a good Thai restaurant, of course Yelp is the place to check for reviews! L' Thai came HIGHLY recommended, and I can see why! Placed in a strip mall, next to a blink-and-you-miss-it Pub, L'Thai is a gem of a secret, that MUST be shared! Organic, made-to-order, and oh-so fresh, the menu at L'Thai is reasonably priced, and has a terrific array of dishes, as well as a selection of organic wines that range from so-so, to fabulous, at a good price. The order of the day was the Yum woon sen, one of my favorite salads, with glass noodles, and spicy shrimp, done to a perfect level that I've tried to emulate, but have failed to do so. Spicy, perfectly seasoned, cold...just lovely goodness. We started with the Tom Yum soup with shrimp as well...once again, perfectly balanced, and tasty as all get-out! Hubby ordered the Red Curry with Beef. Everything is better with beef, especially a good curry, which this was. Not as spicy as he'd hoped for, as he asked them to make it "authentic Thai spicy". I was hoping to see some sweat, but alas, I was denied. He did everything but lick the plate ladies and gentlemen! It was a good crowd at lunch, which is always a good sign, and the service was friendly and good. Of course I'll come back. I have several times. Now it's time to share my view of this place with the world...or at least the whole of Northlake! You won't be disappointed, I promise, so go on...give it a try. Two thumbs-up! ;)

The location makes it easy to miss. When coming into this tiny strip mall I was hesitant, but then very surprised when walking into L'Thai to find a lovely atmostphere with an up-scale dining experience! The menu was extensive, making it hard to choose. We ordered the spring rolls and coconut prawns, both very good. We also ordered the yellow crispy chicken and the basil chicken - also both very good. My only complaint was they charged extra to substitute noodles for rice. Very pleased with this restaurant. I'd like to come back and give this place another try and sample some more menu items!

I had the crispy basil duck (Thai spicy, and a bit more); possibly the best I have had outside of Asia. Even then, one of the betters I have had anywhere in the world. Another great plus is their Thai iced tea--not too sweet, just the right amount of half and half.

I'm told that L'Thai is the only Thai restaurant in the US that has a certificate from the King of Thailand. Who knows if this is true, and if it is...what does it really mean? The king thinks they kick ass? Well, forget the king, I can tell you they kick ass! Trust me, the crispy fried basil duck is manna from Thai heaven. It has all the elements for food rapture: crispy pieces of breaded, fried duck breast, delicious sauce with a slightly spicy kick, fresh Thai basil. If I lived next door, I would eat this dish every single day until I was beamed directly to heaven (or until I died of a heart attack). I also tasted the "Gingerine Grouper", a nice-sized piece of fried fish in a ginger-based sauce. Great flavor. And the Seafood Thai sampler was nice as well with mussels, shrimp, scallops, etc. in a tasty (although pretty salty) sauce. Good stuff. Three of us also split a green papaya salad. This is definitely a single serving, being pretty small for three people. We basically each got a bite. It was delicious, though. And now I'll finish this review so I can prepare my "King of Todd-land" certificate for L'Thai...

I know I have already done a review of L'Thai, but we went there yesterday, April 16, 2010, and left. They have a HEALTH SCORE RATING OF 68 (U)!! I will not be back there anytime soon. They had been reviewed the day before, April 15, 2010. Beware! Comment on owner's comments: They scored the lowest in having pests, insects, and bugs. This is NOT a cooler issue. There were other things mentioned that made me get up and run for the hills!

This may have been a wonderful place to eat but ill never know. Walked in late (yes I know - terrible of me) at 10 minutes until they close, on a busy Saturday night. (Anyone who has ever worked in the restaurant industry knows that you take people right up until the TIME YOU CLOSE!) There were at least 7 tables still eating in the dining area, a few that didn't even have their food yet, PLUS a huge party still off to the side that still hasn't eaten. In other words, clearly they're still open. They pushed us getting a to go order because their "kitchen was closed." What?!? Really?! It's 10 minutes till! So anyway, I hope you Yelpers get there LONG before they close cause they're definitely not going to go out of their way or anything. Poor management if anything I hope isn't a reflection of their food, but nonetheless poor management. If you want to actually be closed at 10 minutes till 10 ... Close at 9:30!

Did you know? They have a huge selection of organic wines for the organic lovers. I came here on a Friday night with a friend who is immensely in love with organic food. The restaurant is pretty easy to find as it located in this medium size shopping center in Tucker. The restaurant itself has a huge menu... from noodles to curry to chinese food. I ordered the basil chicken, which should normally be a staple of any thai restaurant. I have to say "STAY AWAY FROM IT." It was watered down sauce with some bits of fruits and vegetables -- just horrible tasting. The chicken was a bit dry on top of that. However, the only reason why I'm giving this 3 stars is because of my friend's sea bass. I tasted it and it was fried to perfection, perfectly sauced - sweet and sour - and very light and what I would expect from an organic restaurant. Try that instead of the basil chicken. Overall 3 stars, but maybe I had ordered the wrong dish. Get the sea bass!

If you like Thai food, you should really try L'Thai. My husband took me here for our 6 month anniversary. They have a wonderful beer and wine selection, including recommended wines for each and every dish, which I always find helpful. Their food is so fresh and very tasty. The interior is nicely decorated, with an interior koi pond. Nice setting for a date. And the staff was great.

I go to L'Thai at least 3 or 4 times a month, for lunch or dinner. The food is always good and the servers and friendly. I love their panang beef, tofu and/or chicken. Their spices and heat (how hot is the dish) hit the spot every time! This restaurant is my favorite Thai restaurant in town. The only thing I would change if I could, it would be the location. The restaurant itself is ok, but the location is out of the way and not very chic...maybe that's what the owner's wanted, neighborhood place not a trendy restaurant on Virginia Highlands.

By the time I came here I had been craving Thai food for probably three months. You see, I had moved from Hell's Kitchen (aka amazing and cheap Thai food on every block) in NY to Jersey City (aka place to only one Thai place within walking distance which sucks) and I hadn't had Thai food in a very very long time. Anyways, having recently re-located to Atlanta (Yes, I have moved a lot this year), I have found a scarcity in Thai food around where I live. On a recent scouting for bridesmaids dresses at Formally Yours in Lilburn, my fiance decides he wants to return his redbox movie at the local Walmart in Tucker, GA. As we're heading to Walmart I see L'Thai out of the corner of my eye. But I mean, how do you ever know if a restaurant is really good? Why thank you YELP! After turning on my fiance's iPhone app while we were at Walmart, L'Thai was the first restaurant that came up with great reviews :) So onto the food - It was pretty good. Definitely pricey for what I'm normally used to (and I used to eat in Manhattan so I really thought the prices would be lower here). Of course, I'm sure it's because it's organic? Although I seriously couldn't tell the difference. Also, portions could have been bigger given those prices. I was full but I could tell my fiance was still a little hungry after the meal. Overall though, we enjoyed eating there and thought the atmosphere was very romantic.
