I enjoyed both of my visits. The service was pleasant, my signature cocktail was made...so that just set the tone. My first visit was the southern styled veggies with wings. I later enjoyed a lite cuisine to which was perfectly cooked.

Awesome customer service. Warm ambiance & cool artwork Yes this place gets 5 yelp stars! It's the epitome of southern hospitality. The people? Lovely. Full bar and the food was scrumptious! Catering is available. Check out my full food review at my website. ~meet me in Stockbridge at Tooloopeas!~ ;-)

TooLooPeas has a nice ambiance and I love the open spaciousness as well as the ability to bring in live entertainment. It has the potential to be a really nice date spot. My collard green egg rolls were good and so was the mac n cheese. The chicken wings were not seasoned well and needed more flavor though they presented well. Most of all the service was quite slow and the servers seemed to not be at ease handling large parties. Also, do not provide the opportunity to reserve online if it will not be monitored. I will come back though to give them a chance to work on their service. :)

TooLooPeas is slowly catching on in the Stockbridge area, and I hope it is here to stay! A friendly, knowledgable staff delivers a welcoming atmosphere. The chef delivers tasty, creative dishes--namely, my last order of "Angela's Veggie Stack." I didn't leave hungry and even left with leftovers. It's a large, thick, encrusty gritcake topped with freshly sauteed green beans, squash, mushrooms, zucchini, and red/yellow peppers. All this is topped with just the right amount of lemon aioli and served with 2 baby corn muffins. I also left with the bourbon bread pudding, which is so pillowy soft and absolutely flavorful that it converted the bread pudding haters in my home. Honorable mentions from previous visits include mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, and shrimp po' boy. At the risk of creating so much business for TooLooPeas that I will have to wait for a table, I encourage you to support this rarity of excellence in home-cooking in our neighborhood.

This was our first time here and it was a surprising beautiful atmosphere inside with a large full service bar. We ordered the sampler appetizer which had fried green tomatoes, wings, fried catfish nuggets, and grit fritters which were absolutely delicious! I ordered the catfish po boy and also the shrimp po boy. They were delicious, and were piled high with catfish nuggets and large, jumbo shrimp. Sweet potatoes fries were bland but everything else was really good! We really enjoyed the service and the owner and her story of the name if the restaurant is beautiful. Be sure to ask about it when you go! Wish the restaurant was closer to a major highway for easier access.

This place is excellent for a date and the food is freshly made. I suggest you try the Chicken Fried Chicken and the German chocolate cake. The atmosphere is great if you want to have a party of music function here also.

Good food. I enjoyed dinner overall. The fried green tomatoes are really good. Dressing was too salty. They ran out of beef ribs due to post church guests. I would recommend this restaurant and plan to go back again.

Excellent food and ambience. The cuisine was phenomenal! I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area. The Collard Green Egg Rolls with the side sauce were TOP NOTCH. And sour waiter Syvester was awesome! Loved this place. :)

The ambience and decor is mediocre. The food taste ok. This was a cheap experience and highly over priced. A stereotyped small business.

It really irritates me when restaurants print certain times that they close on the doors and then you show up 30 minutes before that time and they won't let you in because they say they are closed. I will no longer go here.

Great for an event! They catered for our group in the side room and it was the perfect location. They even had a projector ready to go for our PowerPoint. The food was excellent and our guests enjoyed it so much they asked for takeout containers. Highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem. The food was spectacular and the decor is amazing. We went on a quieter evening but there was nothing quiet about the food. We will definitely be back again. The Georgia Pearls and Macaroni and cheese are a must try when visiting.

My mother and I came to TooLooPeas on a raining evening so there wasnt much of crowd. Fine by me. We were promptly greeted and seated, but before we sat a man behind the counter informed us the POS system due to the weather was down and they could only accept cash. No biggie since I use cash alot any way and technology van be sometimey. Mom ordered the Frits and Salmon app as her meal and i had the fried chicken w/ mac/cheese and collards. Both meals were delicious, but maybe since i havent had fried chicken in years i was more partial to it b/c it was THE BOMB. My compliments to the chef. Oh yea, the homemade lemonade was very tasty as well. And this comes from a person who only drinks water. The staff was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of which was great since customer service is key. A woman, i believe she was the owner came and spoke to us, she was very friendly also. All in all we had a great experience. So this restuarant does NOT fall under our 'been there done that' umbrella. Oh i almost forgot about dessert. We order the Sweet Potato Cake togo and it was wonderful. The butter rum sauce was delish on the cake. Its a must try I recommend supporting this business and we learn the have live bands and djs that switch out weekly for friday. Another cool factor for the stockbridge area.

I'm thrilled to be the first person to write a review on this restaurant. I entered to find a wonderfully decorated establishment. I really enjoyed the ambiance. The waitress was very kind and patient as the majority of my table had not eaten at the restaurant before. She recommended her favorite dish and was able to explain the whole menu. She said when they are hired they try everything on the menu to be able to explain everything to the customers. The waitress favorite meal has now become my favorite meal. I had chicken fried chicken with white pepper gravy, macaroni and cheese and sweet potato souffle. The food was sublime! The portions are very satisfying and you will need a to-go box. Everyone at my table was thoroughly happy with their orders. The presentation of the food is also beautiful. The owner came out to see if we were happy with our food and service. She also tells the story of how the restaurant got its name ( I won't tell but it's a heartwarming story.) She sat down at our table and told us about the food, history of the restaurant and specials that are coming up in the restaurant. Dessert is a must I had a sweet potato cake with rum glaze, that was an experience moist and delectable. So glad there is finally a restaurant on the south-side that is fine dining with great food and service. Make sure you get a picture before you leave in front of the "Meet me at TooLooPeas" sign.

I stopped in to get takeout. Ordered the "wheels " b.k.a. fried green tomatoes. They were thick, not greasy and really good. Also ordered vegetables. Got the greens, macaroni, green beans and candied sweet potatoes. Everything was good and satisfying. I was looking forward a big cut of hot southern cornbread but I got two miniature corn muffins instead. Food was good and I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Came in for a quick lunch. Lots of staff milling about, only the busiest person was actually waiting tables. 2 were at the door just chatting the entire time. Shame that the best views are on the other side of the closed barn doors. That makes it rather dark to me like being in a cave. Guess that's why the staff congregate towards the tinted windows. The pricing is higher then $$ rather like $$$ or more. So much effort into that bar. Silly question - why have a locked glass door with the name and number on the inside?

I've been to TooLooPeas several times. The food is excellent and it's always more than enough food leftover to take home. My favorite is the shrimp Po' Boy which my daughter and I shared this Mother's Day weekend (with plenty of shrimp for both of us). The service, however, is lacking. The host/hostess provides the first impression of the restaurant and if that person is not well groomed, it reflects negatively on the establishment immediately. On my last visit there (and I do mean LAST regardless of how good the food is), the waiter literally stood at my table and waited for me to pay. Nope..he didn't leave the check and say, "I'll be back". He brought the check and stood there....even though my daughter and I were still eating and talking. Did he really expect me to try and leave the restaurant without paying with an 8 year old in tow?? And it's not my first experience with that. On a previous visit, the waitress and hostess stood at the back register and watched me after the check was placed on the table. Really? It wasn't crowded, I wasn't preventing other patrons from being seated and I clearly wasn't trying to leave without paying but they made me feel like I would be tackled at any moment. I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and returned after that incident but not anymore. I've never walked out on a check and never will BUT if you have to stand over me and wait/watch me retrieve my card to pay for the food, then you don't want my business. I don't appreciate being made to feel a criminal when I'm simply trying to patronize a new business and help it succeed. Over it.

We had heard great things about this restaurant and were excited to try it out. Unfortunately, our visit was less than enjoyable. We arrived early Friday evening (before being crowded) and had to wait a long time for our table, our server, our drinks and finally our food. We ordered fried chicken (and as the menu stated) said 15-20 minutes would be required for that order and the entire table waited over 35 minutes. The food was great but due to the service and wait times, we will probably never go back again.
