Here with a group of 19 for a meeting. Service was slack. I finally went to the hostess & asked for a server to take my order. Maybe they were low on staff, but there were very few patrons in the place. They were able to turn off the speaker so the music did not continue to disturb our meeting. I ordered a margarita. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I got the veggie quesadilla. It came with rice, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole. The quesadilla was filled with onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. Did not seem to be a lot of cheese. Usually a quesadilla is glued together with the cheese. There were lots of veggies here so it wasn't glued shut and I did like all the veggies. It was good but seemed to be a bit greasy to me. When I peeked inside there seemed to be a pool of grease surrounding the vegetables. I left half the rice and half the quesadilla since I could not eat it all. Not sure that I will ever come back here. I only came tonight because my group had a meeting here. The floor was very sticky where I was sitting. Later I looked down & could see the semi dried remains of whatever beverage had not been cleaned. Our speaker walked around during his presentation and the floor across the room where he was standing was very sticky also. Every time he moved we heard the sticky noise. Wonder if the floor gets mopped each night. After I got home I could hear the sticky noise as I walked through my house so I had to wash the bottom of my shoes and then the floor where I walked.

Great food and good service for the South side. The food tasted fresh and was seasoned just right.

Although the food here is very good some of the servers are not friendly at all if the service always matched the food I would give it five stars. I have never had a bad plate of food and only once was the chunky salsa unappealing other than that quite tasty. UPDATE: The service here is getting worse the last time we went we waited over half an hour for our food and then had to ask someone and he intern didn't seem to pleased with us asking; they weren't even busy and with that kind of service I can see why. It will be a long time before I may attempt to eat here again.

Everything you'd expect from a Mexican - themed franchise. Good variety, decent portions, affordable. Nothing special but we'll be back.

This place is not as good as it used to be. The quality of the food the last few times I've been here has been terrible. Taco Bell is better quality; no kidding. I'm not sure why they went down hill. The Margaritas are excellent though.

Don't waste your time and money? Below average food and service, highly not recommended !!!

Ordered the Texas Fajita because they didn't have a Texas Burrito. It came out warm not sizzling, drenched in a red sauce and oil, bell pepper and onion -- limp, steak--fatty, chicken--pre cut, pre cooked, and factory grill marks, shrimp decent. The hacienda dip- warm, asked the server to please heat to hot! Kids chicken nuggets- comparable to McDonalds- not sure what's in them. WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!

I found a big piece of plastic in my taco. They comped my meal but this should not happen. Otherwise, tacos had too much sour cream but where ok. Service was fine. I'll go again I suppose but there are other better Mexican restaurants in the are (mesquite is my fav).

Bad Service, and I have seen a bug. I have been going here for years. It is one of those places that is right by your house, and you keep going, but every time you leave you think....that was awful, why do I go there? I cannot tell you how many times I have never received my cheese dip. Fail.

First time going, this place was not my first choice because my first choice was closed or out of business, I don't know which. I saw this place while driving by and stopped in. I had a to-go order. Service was pleasant, prices were good and the food was good. I have no opinion or knowledge of the dine-in service. I'd return again.

For the 4 & 5 stars this restaurant has gotten I was expecting so much more. What I got was bland amercanized Mexican food. Ate with the family here so we got a pretty good sampling of what they had to offer. I didn't see any smiles after eating the food and other than good customer service & helping the youngest one with her Spanish I didn't find a real compelling reason to head back over here.

I've eaten here a few times and while it hasn't been spectacular, I'd say it's about average. It's your standard American Mexican food where nothing is 5 stars but it's not totally awful either. The service is really good, but on the food they could use some improvement. One time we went here with my sister and her husband and the steak fajitas were a bit tough but we grinded through it. The salsa and chips taste like every other place around Henry county. It seems like they all buy those two ingredients from the same supplier. While it's not the newest or cleanest looking place, you can definitely get a nice margarita and a whole meal for $10-$12 bucks. The only thing I had a problem with was the tamales, which I love elsewhere but not here. For some reason with me they were a little heavy, like they were cooked with lard or something. I don't know but each time I've tried some I didn't like it which is disappointing because I love tamales. They have a lot of combo dishes where you can 1 taco, 1 burrito, and 1 enchilada for like $8 bucks. So if you're looking for an affordable mexican place in this area, go ahead get a margarita, they're pretty big, and enjoy the live music they have going on here! Just don't expect 5 star food.

My favorite thing is the fajitas definitely....ask for extra tortillas and feed two for ten bucks!

We have been going for a while now. Good standard mexican food. Never had a problem with service. One of the better margaritas in there area for all the competition we have...

This is another place I eat at a lot of for whatever reason haven't reviewed. Big menu and it's all good. Reasonable prices and cheap beer - what else could you want from a Mexican restaurant? You don't need to dress up for this place just get in the car and go. Most of the people that work there are the same for what seems like years now. They are polite, attentive and will customize any order. Come to think of it, I haven't seen their health inspection certificate posted but the food is so good I really don't care.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
