Here is my update to Italian Oven. Overall, there is still much room for improvement. I ordered the Chicken Marsala this time, and wonders of wonders, there was some flavor. I was very surprised considering my last foray into this establishment. The vegetables they served with the dish were hot, but not memorable. In fact, I would recommend not putting them on the plate. They did nothing to enhance the dish. It was almost like they felt obligated. I wish they felt obligated not to make the mashed potatoes that were served with it so dry. They are not bad if you use the Marsala sauce to moisten them, but by themselves, have your water glass ready. I have to say I did enjoy the dish though. My wife and son ordered the spinach and chicken pizza. They raved about it. It is the only thing my wife will order, and the bite I wrestled from her tasted nice. If my stomach didn't have an issue with onions, this is what I would order. Take it from me, if you go to Italian Oven, order the pizza.

This is an excellent choice for good local italian. My favorite is the Portabello Mushroom Ravioli. Always a nice pleasant atmosphere.

If you go here looking for good pasta forget it. I ordered the lasagna with meat sauce and the pasta was almost indelible. Same with my wife's cannelloni. Even the greens in the salad were tough. No return visit for me if pasta is on my mind.

Wouldn't allow our coupons although we were separate checks! The coupon stated one deal per check yet the manager refused to honor stating he couldn't stay in business if he did. Why print the coupons then?

My husband and I held our rehearsal dinner here. The staff set up a big table in the back for us and they were very accommodating. We had never been here before, but the food was delicious! Our guests ordered pizza and calzones and everyone was pleased with their meal. I ordered a scrumptious pasta dish with several different kinds of cheeses. The service was good and courteous. I would definitely go back.

I-75 travelers will be glad to find this softly-lit gem just a mile east of exit 224. The Italian Oven used to have locations as far away as Tampa (I remember going there with my parents in the late 1990s), but now serves three communities near Atlanta. If you've eaten at its competitor, the Olive Garden, you'll be familiar with the sort of food you can get here. The prices are roughly the same, but the quality is way better. Instead of iceberg salads, the Italian Oven serves unlimited refills of salad made with baby greens so fresh that they might not ever have been stored in a bag. Although the pizza fritta is usually made only as a birthday gift, you can order it for about $3. It's a plate full of fried dough, like a funnel cake but thicker, dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate sauce. A good choice for an occasional indulgence, but eat it quickly. It's best when it's hot, and your dinner companions will leave you staring in bewilderment at an empty plate.

I eat here a fair amount when I'm visiting family in Henry county. The food is always really fresh and there is a great selection between traditional pasta dishes, calzones, pizzas etc. Service is really great and the staff is really attentive. I've never had a bad experience there.

This place is wonderful! My cross country team is in Georgia for a meet and we were looking for a local italian restaurant and ended up here. Everything was great! We didn't have to wait long to be seated and our waitress was really sweet. There was tons of delicious bread and everyone loved their food!!

I frequently go here for lunch. Calzone and salads are good. I find the oil seaso ings for the bread to be a little substandard. Give it a try!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
