Let's start off by being honest - the food here is not particularly good. It's your standard fare "fried everything" seafood joint. I should have known better than to order scallops, but they were definitely dug from the far reaches of a freezer and then cooked to absolute death so the texture was sort of like chewing on a really buttery tasting tire. The fried shrimp, though, was actually pretty good. HOWEVER, the service is what earned this place the stars. My aunt fell in the parking lot as we were walking up, and the staff was more than helpful. A man in a collared shirt (didn't catch his name, he may have been the manager) came out to help, then brought us bandages for her scraped knee and offered to help put them on. Our server, Sam, was very sweet and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, everyone was very kind and helpful, which I appreciated. I'm certain that if this restaurant tried a little harder with fresher ingredients and a little more caution on fry times (and an update to the interior and bathrooms, eek), they could really crush it. They've got the good staff - just fix the food!

Recently dined their with my husband. Service slow and they had maybe 5 tables in entire restaurant. We ordered clam chowder as a starter and the Seafood Platter for 2 senior size. Everything came out at once. Chowder excellent. Platter was small ( previous 5 visits platter normally chalked full. Asked to substitute oysters for more shrimp. Bland tasting. The so called fried clams no breading and looked dried out and nasty. When server finally came to table , I told her about the clams. We were finished. She took the platter went in back. Returns and says manager will look into it. No manager came to talk to us. No nothing. We paid the check and left. We are locals and basically only seafood place in the area. Really doubt we will return anytime soon

Great little family style seafood restaurant!!! We were looking for something different for supper, and noticed the sign on the way into town that said 'Praying for Nolan'. My kind of place for sure!!! The service was great, food was delicious...we will be back!! I had the N'awlins shrimp...delicious over a generous bowl of smoky Gouda grits. My friend had the mixed grill, an abundant plate of grilled scallops, shrimp, and fish. Hush puppies and bread were right on time! We left stuffed and satisfied, with leftovers for lunch. Definitely recommend this place for anyone passing through!!

All around a good restaurant. They have a very wide selection. Everything we got was well prepared and very tasty, from Gator tail appetizer to the black eyes peas! The hush puppies were the best I've had in a while. Service was excellent. Kind of tucked away do you have to look for it, but worth the effort!

Do not recommend this place! I ate here a while back and not too long after having the popcorn shrimp I was deathly sick! Was sick for 2 days. My dad had the butterfly shrimp plate but finished the rest of my popcorn shrimp and he also was sick. I don't plan to ever return

Cozy spot with fresh seafood in the heart of bulloch county, what more could you ask for? We ventured here for a family meal on a Sunday afternoon and we were all quite pleased! My husband and I had the oysters and calamari sampler appetizer.. Two words yum-my! The hush puppies are to die for, please order them when you go! Also, ask for some Cajun sauce, it puts you in the mind remoulade, but with a kick. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the boro!

I can't say enough good things about Ocean Galley. My family has probably been going there since before I was born. I have very vivid memories of eating popcorn shrimp with applesauce and french fries there when I was four. I'm in my 20's now; this place is here to stay. Lately, when I come home to visit, I've been satisfied splitting a Ocean Galley Platter (I think that's what it's called) with Boyfriend. It comes with a ton of food, all fried-- shrimp, fish (tilapia), clam strips, oysters, scallops, and deviled crab for under $30 before taxes. The portion is more than enough for two people. I think they have other, healthier items available too but we don't even look at the menu anymore. My only complaint is that the fish could be seasoned a little more. They don't serve alcohol and it's not fancy at all but OG serves tasty, straightforward seafood and that is good enough for me.

Very good! Thurs night special was 15 pc shrimp with 2 sides and hush puppies. Good food, large portions and excellent service. All for less than $10 bucks. I'll be back!!! Ps the black Eyed Peas were like mom's ;)

We were on our way to savannah and had heard of Ocean Galley Seafood. so glad we decided to go. They were busy which was a good sign, but we didn't wait long. The service was excellent, the portions were huge and the food was delicious. Everything was prepared perfectly. The crab dip was AWESOME! Even though it's out of the way, we will definitely be returning to this gold mine of a find.

This place is hit and miss at best. Sometimes it is really good with fresh hot food, sometimes not so much. They seem to have a real problem with the baked potatoes. They hold them in the oven too long and/or reheat them from lunch or the previous day. We'll be giving more of our business to the boiling shrimp restaurant.
