The two ladies at the bar are fantastic. Ketra is extremely helpful and Valerie as well. Will definitely venture back here. They have zero problems with helping you find what you love and so do not love. Their personalities are charming and inviting. The beer selection is varied. The one thing I am noticing across the board is the lack of GF options. However. This place had two rows of GF beers. So kudos to them. Will definitely be back. And I did a check in here and got my go to favorite free draft shot (2.5-3 oz) of Guinness. Yum yum. Clean environment. Good music and nice people. Great location just southeast of City Market.

Thank you, the amazing staff at WOB/savannah! Your staff was gracious, the service was prompt, and the beer was amazing, even while last call was being declared. Many stars (3/5) go to the staff who were OFF work, and still were gracious, helpful, and generally amazing. We'll be back, with reinforced requests, at a much more appropriate time. The bar staff and wait staff are wonderful. Pay them more, please; hopefully they stay. My only issue: none.

This bar is best for 21 year old frat boys, those who love 90s pop music, and sports fans. Their menu has a lot of beer, sure, but the servers don't know much about craft beer or their menu. My server literally recommended a commercially produced beer to me which she later admitted was not good. When you have over a hundred beers on your menu you should be able to recommend something decent. Beer is also way overpriced. $7.50 for a pint of local beer which I've had elsewhere for $4. Not cool. One good thing about this place is they have to-go cups.

Terrible service , the food for one chicken taco took an hr to get to us, and the other people at the table ordered their food was cold. They do have a great beer collection but the service made it miserable. Its game night and they start playing rnb music over the game. On the plus side they have great beer , and a lot of TVs.

This was the first stop on a Slo-ride pub tour we took. Just like other World of Beer locations it was clean, nice, with a huge selection and great service!

We stopped in one afternoon to grab a drink and relax. Savannah can get pretty warm outside in the afternoon, so we were looking for a place to cool off. After seeing the downstairs was pretty busy we went upstairs and found an old Foosball table. This table is probably a kids toy but we all really had fun with it. There is also plenty of space upstairs and they are able to accommodate private parties if needed. They had a blueberry beer on tap that was suggested to us after we ordered another bottled blueberry beer. The on tap beer was not only cheaper but also came with fresh blueberries in the glass. My husband shared a flight of "local" beers with a friend; I say "local" because when I think of the word I would assume the beers all came from Savannah. Their use of the word includes beers from Georgia like Atlanta. The tab was around $10, and the waiter was nice, and I really appreciated his recommendations.

Great selection of local beers. One of the bartenders was working on creating a new shot. Root beer with rum. It was fantastic.

Stopped in for a drink on a hot day. The selection of craft beer is impressive. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. He helped us choose a couple of beer and even let us sample them before we ordered. Having knowledgeable staff is important here because the selection is overwhelming. We didn't order any food but we would definitely go back to try a few new beers.

A very good selection of draft and bottled beer. Nice patio for outside seating. they have a sports bar theme, but were mot showing Boxing on Saturday, opting for college softball or something like that.

I got really excited about this place because I expected a lot of local beers to be available that I wouldn't be able to try back home. I was pretty surprised and disappointed when I saw the very limited selection of local brews, many of which ones that are in fact available in the Greater Cincinnati area. The beers are a little pricey, and the bartenders weren't terribly helpful or knowledgeable. The menu was also confusing, as it only listed the beers on draft. If you wanted the canned or bottled ones, you had to just look at the coolers on the other side of the counter to see what was available (difficult to do, and again the bartenders weren't terribly helpful).

They paired up with wing place .. And you can bring your own food.. Love the outdoor seating pet friendly of course

Been to many of these around the country. This one near the Hilton Head airport is particularly bad. Terrible bar service. The bar staff hardly ever turns to look at the customer. Instead, their backs are consistently to you. Constantly running around like they are too busy to serve you. Makes you feel lucky to be able to order. WOB is loosing my confidence.

  • Bob S.

Yeah...I was an a hole tourist asking the probably not original, got any beer on draft....yeah, douche. The guy was cool, err tolerant...what a rack of taps...fine tuned my thirst and I heard...we got quad...sold. Nice...bar..best selection around. Peace.

Heard through the grapevine that WOB might have a very rare Allagash beer I've been dying to try so we went on a random Wednesday after lunch. Mara was the only bartender working and it was pretty busy, but she gave us immediate attention and she was really just amazing. There was only one of the beers I wanted left and it was waaaaay in the back of the cooler but Mara made it happen. She went above and beyond to make us happy and we had a great experience. There are always so many great beers on tap--you really can't go wrong here.

So amazingly happy stumbling upon this great find!!!!! They sell Southern Tier Pumking 2013!!! Fall season is mainly my favorite season because fall pumpkin ale beers are available! This place has a phenomenal selection of beers to tickle almost everyone's fancy!! They had a lot of beers or draft and so many beers from all over the world in bottles. When I came in, it was like an adult candy store with so many selections of beer to choose from I didn't even know where to start. Right when I sat down service was fast! Bartender gave me my menu, answered all my questions, and gave me fast service. When I asked if they had pumpkin ale here I was so surprised when he said yes!! Bathrooms were clean as well for all you ladies who are curious! (Since all the other bars close by had bathroom stalls that smelled like someone urinated all over the walls.) Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place to just have a beer and engage in conversation with random people or friends.

  • Tom G.

I was disappointed here. Service was OK and they had the usual million beers on tap. Been to another "World of Beer" in Nashville and enjoyed it a lot more. The place seemed a bit run down and my biggest complaint - the bathrooms - "one-holers!" Seriously - all you sell is beer and you have a bathroom that can only accommodate one person at a time. Seriously? What are you thinking - it's simple math!

This is a five star place for me, because it excels at what it tries to do, which is provide a paradise for beer drinkers, and in particular beer drinkers who want to sample unusual craft beers. There is not really much more to say that isn't said in the other reviews, but I want to highlight a couple of items not commented on much. First, the layout is awesome. I sat on the upper level, which I recommend because it was a little less crowded than the lower level. The upper level is kind of like a loft overlooking the lower level with catwalks going around, and from where I sat I had a great view of the entire place. Great for people watching. Second, they have loads of screens and were showing all the major games going on. If you're from outside the southeast and want to see something other than the SEC, this is a good place, since it was the only one I could find in downtown Savannah that was showing a PAC-12 game I was interested in.

Awesome WOB! Came and visited to purchase a beer for my loyalty card. This place is MASSIVE! I do enjoy the height difference between the first and second floor. The service was decent, nothing special. VERY LOUD which makes it difficult to order. I can see how this place could get really packed, but when you serve good beer that is to be expected!

Stopped in for a quick brew. Cold Hefeweizen and Raspberry framboise were just what we needed. Friendly service!

  • Michelle C.

The lack of stars isn't because this has any reflection of the business, but staff. Well start with the positive... The beer selection is out of this world, and when we did get service she was amazing. Now the lack of stars- we walked in and found the first open seats. The bartender glanced at us and walked right past to the corner, where 3 other bartenders were standing, talking, drinking, etc. I wish we could have had half the service they gave themselves!!

Ahh...WOB! The fiancé was so happy to get to visit another one and I was excited to see how its set up (since they are all so different). If you have never been to a WOB, its all craft beer. They have 40-60 beers on tap and a few hundred in beer fridges. They have beer for pretty much anyone. This WOB is massive! There is a huge bar downstairs, which is also where the band stage is, along with many tables. You can also take stairs up to the 2nd floor where there was also a full bar and tables. The layout was so creative because upstairs could look down to the patrons below. When we went there was a band playing some classic tunes. We grabbed a beer to go and were on our way after we enjoyed some tunes for a bit. The staff were nice and fairly quick to greet us; it was fairly busy for a friday night. Any beer buff can't go wrong with stopping into a WOB.

Very fun place. Huge bar! Huge selection! My favorite was the peach beer! So perfect for summer and a hot day :)

Great beer and a mildly friendly server (who had no idea how to work the yelp checkin offer). However, the place is lacking in character.

Just like all the WOB I have been to this one was great fun. They had some Terrapin and Great Divide beers I have never had. The staff were cool cats offering great stuff to sample. Try the sticky toffee beer made by Wells it was the most unique one I had last night. I'm on 116 beers only 998 to get in the hall of beer fame.

I used to love going to this place. The servers were happy, energetic, ready to meet your beer craving needs. Not so much anymore. A new GM came into town and has SUCKED THE LIFE OUT! In addition to hiding in his office, he has the servers walking on egg shells (except for all the new ones, those that he brought over from The Pink House, where he used to work... aka those that are his friends, who happen to suck at their jobs), those that were there before him, he has cut shifts, moved them to the cocktail area upstairs, made quit, or fired (one was just fired this morning, mind you one of the best bartenders in Savannah). This guy had the nerve to, after promoting a customer appreciation party this past Saturday on the bar's third year anniversary, pull the rug out, because, I overheard him say," you (the servers) didn't deserve a party"; wait, I thought it was a 'customer appreciation' party? This guy is the epitome of management failure. I've seen the place lose customers over the weeks and months, the numbers can't be good, and it is all because of this sack of expletive. I can't stand it anymore. I will no longer be going here, until this piece is fired by the owners, who are good people, but are either ignorant or apathetic, I hope the former for their sake.

Was here on January 17, 2015 After trying and failing to get a table at The Distillery on Saturday night, we came here to get our beer fix on. There's so many incredible beers on tap and it wasn't packed at all around 8pm. There were only 2 waitstaff on the upstairs floor but our waiter did an awesome job making sure we were well taken care of. Only 1 star taken off because they don't have a kitchen but do have menus for outside restaurants to deliver food. But get a pint and grab a seat by the window. The view of the lights strung across the buildings is amazing.

This is the only place in town that has awesome beers poured from nitro. We stopped in for a quick drink and they didn't disappoint at all, they actually had 3 different beers on nitro! Quality, pour, and price were spot on. The location is awesome too, you can walk around downtown with a beer as long as it's in a plastic cup. I'll visit every time I'm in Savannah!

    (5)
  • Ken L.

Great beer selection yeah yeah yeah. Don't order food. They literally order takeout from another kitchen and serve it as their own. Yes they get it delivered in to go boxes and replate it on premises. After waiting 60 minutes for wings I asked the server what was up. She said that because my order was so large (really?) that it would take awhile. Meh. Double meh.

    (2)
  • Ryan F.

Large beer selection- there was live music when we visited that was great and really made the place pop!

    (5)
  • Krista A.

We had a very friendly server who took the time to help make the flight to our palate preferences. Beer options were awesome and the prices were reasonable.

  • Marley G.

The staff here is wonderful, accommodating, friendly, and attentive. We just moved into the neighborhood and this will surely be one of our watering holes. They have a ton of televisions that cater to the college football crowd and they have beers from around the world to attend to pretty much any taste. But don't worry...they have wine and soda, as well. They do NOT serve food, but the great thing is, they give you numbers to local delivery places that will bring food to you gladly. Great idea, nice atmosphere, we'll be regulars. Try them out. (But not on Sunday as they're not open.)

  • Charlie H.

There's nothing to be said, if you LOVE beer you will LOVE this place. Awesome local selection flav, or just all around/international type thing. Cant go wrong with some Flights to try different type.. Or go for a pint of any classic. Good beer, food time, many seat and tv = good time :D

Don't live in Savannah but every time I've been home to visit friends you can just about guarantee a visit to this place. It's pretty much the equivalent of Taco Mac but without the food. Admittedly, the beer selection isn't quite as big as TM either, but for what this place is, it's quite good. They do one thing and do it well. I've always found something I liked on draft when I've visited. The service is friendly, there are plenty of tvs, a cornhole set tucked away, and even a giant Jenga set if you're too ADD to just sit and enjoy your beer with friends. From what I recall they have also had bands in the past before for certain occasions. And even though they don't serve food, there are plenty of local places that will deliver to you and you're welcome to eat inside.

  • Nicole W.

Good place to watch a soccer match and hang out. I wouldn't consider this place a good spot for pre-gaming. Their selection is vast and pricey. Its more of a beer-connoisseur-lets-enjoy-it-not-chug-it type of place. But that is about it. I mean. Its beer.

  • Scott S.

Great variety, interesting selections, but there's something about this place that I just can't put my finger around which left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Beer is currently my life obsession, mostly because, the immortal words of Jimmy Fallon "it makes my alcoholism look like a hobby." I was slightly optimistic about my chances of finding good craft beer in Savannah despite it being a total tourist/wedding destination due to its proximity to some of the more high-profile breweries in the South (Terrapin in Athens, GA; Westbrook in Mount Pleasant, SC; and even Cigar City down in Florida), but my hopes quickly dissipated after I participated in a biking pub crawl which placed me in 8 different bars serving nothing but BMC/Moon River beers. I therefore couldn't contain my excitement when I walked into World of Beer; their 20+ taps and god knows how many hundreds of bottles in their selection seemed to spell redemption for a trip that so far was very mediocre on the beer front. After sharing a short conversation with one of the bartenders, it came to my attention that World of Beer was part of a bigger retail chain/franchise, and their bottle and draft selection, although ridiculously extensive, did not have very much to get a hophead or a sour-enthusiast excited (the closest things were New Belgium's La Folie and Westbrook Gosé, both of which they were sold out of when I got there.) My minute quarrel with this place was with the "raffle" they had going on the night I went there; as part of the raffle they were auctioning off a six-pack of Bell's Hopslam and some chump paid 45 dollars for it. Setting aside the fact that raffle was for charity, here's what left a bad taste in my mouth: Bell's Hopslam is a very elusive Double IPA only brewed during wintertime and sees very limited distribution compared to their flagship beers and seasonals. Bell's Hopslam is also notorious for being extremely hoppy (hence its name), a quality which is best enjoyed during the early weeks of the beer's life; Hopslam is also notorious in that the hops aroma and flavor drops off within the first month and a half of the beer's shelf life, and after that point what you're drinking is infinitely close to Maltslam. And now the coup de grace -- Hopslam this year was brewed in late January upto mid February. Bell's official website lists the shelf life of Hopslam as six-month, though the term shelf-life here is probably closer to "the point at which you're better off drinking malt liquor because what you're drinking is basically a very high ABV King Cobra infused with honey." The auction took place what I can only assume to be close to an entire six months after the beer was bottled in Michigan -- I don't know whether the person realized this when he was bidding for it, but the fact that any establishment with what seems like a well-thought out selection in terms of variety of style and geographical location would allow this to happen made me cringe quite a bit. I like their food policy vis-a-vis the delivery affiliates as that is how I got to sample some awesome tacos from down the street, but overall a great experience slightly tarnished by a practice that would be heavily ostracized in certain beer-oriented communities.

Great selection of beer on tap & in bottles !staff is knowledgable about the selection. Only problem is getting the wait staff to wait on you. The seemed understaffed.

    (4)
  • Lauren M.

The BEST beer selection I have ever seen!!! Any beer I could ever imagine was here!! As far as bottled beer, it was all categorized by region which at first was a little confusing but after my first beer I loved it! Beers on tap had such a wide variety!

I really appreciated the recommendation for the Summer Shandy! This is my new favorite. Great atmosphere to just hangout.

Loved the layout of this WOB. They have outdoor seating right up front. Once you walk in there's a 2nd floor veranda type layout so you can people watch below. The staff at this location were great and super friendly. They also have a big Jenga game to play with when you walk in on the left. I thought that was awesome and set this WOB apart from my hometown location.

  • Rick D.

Ok, So low rating because i am NOT a beer drinker but went into see the "Tarheels" get whopped up on. The young lady that served us was about as sunshiney as a brick but started to lighten up as we got ready to leave. I think her and her friend doing home work felt bothered by our early entry as soon as they opened. I had my first Beer Here Innis and Gunn which was not bad. They don't have food. Beer Only and the TV setup is not the best. Will check our local WOB in jax to see if it is any better. Bold City still has them beat for beer central.

Good atmosphere. Excellent beer selection. Good service. Fairly typical bar. Cool upstairs. I would come back.

  • Lan T.

Good selection of beer and for reasonable prices. Nothing amazing, but nothing horrible. Just good beer. They have a "huge" selection, but not everything is available.

  • Heather W.

If you've been to any other WOB, you know what to expect. TONS of beer options, friendly service and (typically) ZERO food options. Together, than can be a dangerous combination if you don't plan ahead. This particular WOB has a really cool and HUGE JENGA set up front for free use. They also have indoor corn-hole set up and plenty of TVs to watch your favorite games on. ...and of course, plenty of cold beer! On this particular occasion, we were visiting from out of town and planned our visit here. We first got take-out from Zunzi's (which we learned about from a "Best Of" food show on TV). They graciously let us bring our take out in and brought us waters and beers (I got a tasting flight!) I LOVE that they let you bring in outside food or order delivery while there. This way, you REALLY get whatever your heart desires. It's a big place with bathrooms on the main and upper floor. Plenty of room for everyone!

    (4)
  • Katrina C.

This place is awesome. Tons and tons (read: hundreds) of beers on draft and in bottles. They have an awesome person sized Jenga came, which is maybe the most fun I've had in a bar in recent history. Wednesdays is trivia, which is fun. It's also student discount night, and you get 50% off a lot of beers. They don't serve food, but you can bring it in with you! Amazing. Definitely a place to stop by.

To me, this place is the equivalent of the movie "She's All That", the 1999 cinema classic starring Rachel Leigh Cook where the football player makes a bet that he can turn the nerdy young woman into a prom queen. When I first walked into this place, it seemed like the equivalent of the aforementioned nerd. It seemed self-conscious and insecure and I was thinking "This place isn't all that". But I made a bet with my friends that we'd have a good time, just like Freddie Prinze in the movie. So I gave it a chance. There were few early missteps (messing up my beer order, not having the first two things I ordered on the menu, taking two people to open a bottle of wine) but I let them go and tried to visualize the place as the hot prom queen. Slowly, the metamorphosis happened. First, the bartender didn't charge me for the beer error (so I ended up getting two beers, score!). Then they had a great singer named Josh Johansen (sp?) playing and it got even better. I found some other beers I liked and my non-beer-drinking friend had some great wine. Based on that experience, we came back again and had even a better time. The bartenders seemed nicer and more helpful. The crowd was friendly and they had an even better band playing. We also got to hang out with Andy (#2 on the beer wall) who was super cool. We had such a great time I wanted to start a flash mob dance party right in the place, just like in the prom scene* of "She's All That". *Sigh* I'm sorry World of Beer, I should have looked beyond your initial goofiness and realized you had true beauty inside all along. All it took was just taking off your glasses and letting down your hair to make me see you truly are all that. World of Beer, will you go to the prom with me? _____________________________ * as a special bonus, Usher is the DJ! youtu.be/MqiYAp4hxAU

If you like beer... Congrats! They have over 500 here so you will like something. No food though :( They should at least have peanuts, I mean seriously, my salt level is dangerously low; however I do feel strangely wonderful, think I'll get one more...

  • Jordan L.

Before walking in to this place, understand that nothing is cheap! You are going to pay a lot of money, and you are going to enjoy what you pay for. The selection of beer here is crazy. Everything that you can imagine is here. I have only been here twice, and don't remember everything that I saw in their selection, but they have great staple beers from all around the world. I think that the cheapest beer I saw was $4, but it was still a good beer. I go out to drink beer a lot, so this is not a place that I can visit all the time, although I definitely enjoy coming here when I have the chance. They are putting one of these locations a mile from my house in October, so I am sure that I will be supporting this place more than I ought to. TOO HARD TO RESIST! Oh, and they don't sell food so you can bring some takeout from your favorite restaurant and mix that with good beer. Save some money in my opinion on crappy fried food they would probably offer. Do what your good at....sell beer :) See you soon WOB.

World of Beer is a great beer bar in Savannah (OK, I think it's a chain but I've only been to the Savannah location. They have a good rotating selection, lots of choices on drafts, etc. I wouldn't say that they ever have anything exceedingly rare or unique - but they have a good selection of craft beer. They have a large amount of space with tables and a bar downstairs and a bunch more tables and booths upstairs. They don't serve food, so it's really all about drinks. They do have mixed drinks if you don't want beer - but seriously, the whole point of coming here is the good craft beer. The staff are very nice and they'll let you try samples of beer if you are not sure what you want. I've been a little disappointed that the "beer specials" are usually the crap beers and not good craft beers. One interesting thing they have is beer shots - the St Bernardus/Framboise shot was pretty tasty. All in all, a good craft beer bar and nice to have in downtown Savannah.

They have a wonderful selection of beers. The only problem is getting one of the bartenders to serve you one of these wonderful beers. I came here after 6pm on the day we arrived in Savannah and was shunned by both bartenders working. Finally when I was served I asked the bartender if it was happy hour and her response was "of Yeah I guess". After my order was charged I asked if it was happy hour again and she exclaimed "oh right". Apparently they have to put that in the system manually. Then the next lady I had to tell the same thing. It was not a big deal it was only $1 off and I said that was their tip. It was a Tuesday afternoon so I gave it a pass, so when I returned later around 11pm I expected a different experience. I came back because it was down the street from my hotel; however I was meet with even ruder bartenders. Apparently if you are not a local they just treat you like crap! Bottom line is the bartenders here have made me look for other bars because I will NOT patronize this establishment anymore during my stay. We are here for a week and based on what I experienced today I will go out of my way to not go to this place again.

If you like beer, look no further. This place has so very many options on draft and bottled. They have a great ground floor, outdoor seating and spacious upstairs with bar as well. Live music on the weekend. They do not serve food but they will let you order from other restaurants. The employees are awesome, very nice and knowledgable.

Awesome selection, good prices. Free beer shot was nice as well.

I really enjoyed this place. They have a ton of taps and even more bottles; the bartenders were attentive; and they played hockey for me despite the fact that, until the hockey was on, no one else was interested. I agree with Mark about the excelling at what it tries to do. My only possible complaint would be that they hadn't printed their draught beer menu and the chalkboard and paper menus didn't perfectly match, but the bartender who brought me the menus immediately apologized for this and informed me that their printer was broken, so such a complaint would seem willful. They do not serve food, but they will offer you a selection of menus from places that will deliver.

You know the drill if you know anything about World of Beer as the franchise that it is. You are gonna find just about any beer you could imagine. The bonus with this location is the fact that it's in one of the greatest drinking cities in America, Savannah GA. This one in particular is a two level bar and the bar on the street level is really huge and long. The only drawback with any bar with this much variety is the decision factor. Sometimes that many choices makes for a very hard choice. Thankfully they have some solid bartenders that will help you out if you just let them know what you normally like. The night we popped in there was some really great live music happening. I've been to other WOB's and honestly had never seen a live band in them. That was unique.

Had some outstanding service from Jeanna last night! Great Bartender, she provided quality service and was engaged with her work so the customer was satisfied and felt welcomed! First time in a long time that my friends and I did not feel rushed to leave a Bar.

Like beer? And a variety? Come here! There are bottles and draught beers by the dozens or hundreds . . I didn't count. It's a really nice looking place - clean, modern and a couple floor with lot of places to sit. Check it out!

  • Meghan C.

Definitely a solid beer offering - very rowdy/outgoing vibe, even though it was barely 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday. The service was very, very, very slow, but polite when it was there. We got a beer shot, gratis, because of our check in. A cool idea, but not sure they actually taste like what they're supposed to care. Getting a pass on this, because they were free. Pint prices were expensive - I think everything was $6 or greater...

Okay I'm reviewing this place for what it is, which is BIER. They've got it all. They just opened today, so I was happy to be one of the first to enjoy and review. I ordered a mixed beer which was great. The bartenders knew their stuff and were happy to hand out samplers of anything I wanted. Ask for a sampler of any draft... But choose wisely, for while the true beer will bring you life, the false bier will take it from you. I would hope they'll have a little food after awhile, but their 18 + TV's will keep you occupied between sips.

This place started off strong and fizzled fast. Excellent and diverse selection of draft beer, probably 40 or 50 and several times that number of bottles...several pages in the well organized and laminated beer menu dedicated to educating the beer novice with definitions of ale and beer, descriptions of various varieties, etc. We waited at a table for a few minutes before the waitress came over. She delivered our beers fairly quickly, including my free check-in beer shot, which was a house blend, really nice refreshing summer mix, and then promptly disappeared, never to return...though i saw she was still there, and had not left. My wife actually went shopping for 40 minutes and our waitress never returned while she was gone or after she came back...we had to go inside to close out our tab...it was not very busy, so no excuse for such horribly inattentive service...I will chalk it up to young and inexperienced help...they need to address this. Otherwise would be a nice spot to satisfy your craft beer cravings while meandering through historic Savannah.

This was an amazing atmosphere! We came in for trivia and even though we lost, it was fun. We made new friends and kept in touch! They don't have food, but they do carry the menus to many of the local restaurants, where they then deliver.

Great service with tons of beers on tap. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Would go back again.

Great beer selection - draft & bottles of many craft beers which rotate regularly. Fun environment with lots of TVs. They do not serve any food though, so be sure to make plans to go to dinner at a nearby restaurant. We got Beer Shots when we checked in on Yelp and they were delicious! Definitely a favorite place of ours in Savannah.

We loved this place and wish we had one in our hometown! We were told they're expanding to several new cities. The beer selection caters to every taste and the bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable on what beer we should try based on our likes and dislikes. My husband had a bourbon root beer that was smooth tasting and perfect on such a hot day. It would be nice if they had snacks or appetizers but otherwise, it's a great place to stop for a drink and even take one to go while you're browsing the city streets.

Sum it up: Great beer, HORRIBLE cocktails. Our Choices: His- Cali Lager; good. Hers- cucumber martini; they were out of cucumbers. Mojito- was yellow/green, no clear; they made with dark rum. Is was very heavy and tasted HORRIBLE. Blueberry Cosmo; not quite as bad as the mojito but was still very bad. They are called world of beer for a reason, I get it, but if you advertise for signature cocktails, shouldn't they be consumable? Environment- very clean. Spacious (2 story).

World of beers is a fun place to experience a large variety of draft and bottled beers. I had the Belgium beer flight and so was able to taste 4 really tasty beers. Our bartender was really nice and we met the buyer for the joint, who obviously cared about providing the place with a quality selection of beers.

The first time we tried to stop by here, we did not. It smelled like terrible, awful, sewage. So that..was not good. But we stopped by a few days later during the day. It was a nice break from the heat and also not crowded. Impressive beer selection and nice bartenders. If you like beer, this is the place for you

As you would expect, the beer selection is enormous. They had something like two dozen beers on tap, and the bartender was friendly and willing to let me have a free sample of any of the on-tap beers. They have a giant-block Jenga game for anyone to play. Also, I got a good Yelp deal for checking in.

After eating a great dinner, we debated on where to head next. After seeing World of Beer pop up on my app, I wasn't interested in going anywhere else. So, we walked here and found a seat at the wall table behind the bar. I gazed in awe at the long, chalkboard draft list and two huge coolers full of bottles. Once I came back to reality, I ordered a SweetWater FestiveAle, a winter seasonal made in Atlanta. We all hung out for awhile, watching the numerous TVs and BSing before heading out. With hundreds of selections, WoB could keep my beer snob interest for many more visits.

Cool spot. Serves beer only, but has a list of restaurants that will deliver food to World of Beer. They have a regular Thursday night run that meets at the bar at 7pm, then offers discounted drafts to runners. Lots of tvs to catch your sports.

I wanted to hate this place because it was a chain. To be sure, they have alot more boring beers on tap than the Distillery but there are some real gems there too. Dog friendly if you sit outside and Bartenders are cool. Didn't eat here so can't 5 star it.

Beer selection and staff knowledge of said beers gets two thumbs up. Whose thumbs, though? Mine are too busy double fisting delicious booze.

  • Heather J.

Good bar atmosphere, accept the fact it's a chain and you'll do ok. Polite staff and an overwhelming chive of beers and ciders! Granted, we came here on their birthday at 5:30 in the afternoon, so the atmosphere may be a little different later!

Beer selection is amazing. Asked for a smooth porter on draft and that is exactly what I got. Closest thing to Guniness the I've had. Little bit sweeter, but will definitely get again. Friend got something that tasted like strawberry. I kept taking sips of it, though I would probably not order one on it's own. They do not serve food here, so eat before or plan to eat after. Live music on Friday night was lively if not a little loud. The only problem was the service. It was dreadfully slow and the server did not know much about beer. Honestly, he should probably be doing something else for work. Just didn't have the right personality or knowledge for a place like this.

The beer selection is fantastic. The crazy beer shots are interesting (Yelp deal alert!). If you like suds give this joint a try. It is a chain. I am not a corporate fan, as you may know. I like this joint due to it having 3 things. One, outdoor seating, this is a must here in Savannah, GA where people watching is a sport. Two, this place offers lots of draft beer and three, is staffed with knowledgeable beer loving bartenders. I hate it when I ask how something is and they say, "I don't drink beer." I also love that I can have a small sample of the beer. I love that I can come back and try something new next time. Yay! Why am I not here all the time? Well, because it is missing something. What is this place missing? Apps. As in appetizers. Why no food? Really? How can I have some great beer with nothing to nosh upon? I guess they don't want a light weight like me to hang around all night. O'well. I see you there, if only for one beer.

While in town I came to this brand new location. We were here for a Hopslam tap event in the upstairs bar. GREAT service. The bartender dealt with me and my rowdy crowd with a great sense of humor and was extremely friendly. Obviously this place has a great beer selection.

I've never seen such a HUGEEE variety of beer in one place before. We passed by this place on our way to a conference after lunch and just had to stop and take some pictures. We made time to go back the next evening for a drink. I was hoping to try a couple different beers, but I had eaten too much for dinner and was sadly only able to try one, however the one I tried was pretty good :) Hope to come back here someday.

Really cool place with live music. Beer selection is obviously endless, and the waitresses have good advice. Not crowded on a Saturday night, which could be a plus for some. But definitely worth the stop.

Decent selection, no macros, except for some Euro macros. Lots to choose from, which can be overwhelming, but a good problem to have. While it was very busy, the service was attentive. Wish we had one in Charleston.

If you like drinking beer this is the place. My son and I sat outside relaxing drinking a variety of beers. The nice thing about Savannah is walking distance to everything. The service was great and knowledgable about the beers they served.

The overhang with outdoor tables, makes it an ideal stopping point with or without pets. The draught beer selection is incredible, sourcing beers from all over the world, and their bottles fridges are a beer snobs dream. The staff is great, and the bathrooms are clean. The only thing i regret is not being able to play giant jenga!

A beer lovers dream with a wide selection of rotating taps that are usually decently priced. They also have a large selection of bottle and cans and do offer a full bar as well. Located in the hub of the party scene in downtown Savannah on Broughton St it is easy to find and gives you the classic feel of our beautiful city. This location has a cool two story set up with bars on each floor which is really neat. The only down fall is that they don't serve any food but they have an awesome relationship with several downtown eateries that will deliver and you can chow down right at your seat. Being a craft beer lover that enjoys trying new things I enjoy frequenting this place and if you are like me in that aspect you will be as well.

Order pizza from Vinnie van gogos(they deliver), while enjoying WOBs amazing beer selection. If you like pumpkin beer, they have a great one topped w/whipped cream and rimmed w/cinnamon! Excellent as a dessert beer. They also have a great live band that performs on the weekends. WOB was so much fun and they have so many beers to choose from.

I usually associate beer to over bulging bellies and the horrible after taste of cheap liquor. If you're like me then you should be pretty much uninterested in going to a place called "World of Beer", right? Wrong! All I have to say is "Ace of Pear" cider (think Welch's apple cider with REAL liquor). I literally screamed when I tasted it. I lost my reason to look down on the females that guzzled beer to fit in the guys ( by the way, I hate those girls). Thumbs Up: WOB has a huge variety of flavors;expect your taste buds and liver to have a blast. The floor plan always makes it feel like it's a packed house (up and downstairs). FYI: Thursday is their "Ladies Night". Thumbs Down: Does NOT serve food.

Awesome time with great drinks, selection and service. Play some corn hole, jenga and have Amy serve you...she was was awesome enough for 5 stars by herself :) it's also fun to try a local flight, but there is a lot of great selection, especially on draught.

At least 40 drafts and a huge selection of bottles from across the country and around the world. Service was quick and attentive. Check in gets you a free beer shot, which is a 4 oz. glass of any draft you choose.

It's a big ass, loud, fun bar. With a HUGE selection on draft, plus two even BIGGER cases of bottled boozy refreshments from around the world. Score on the Check In offer of a 4oz "shot" of any draft you fancy! I'd say the only con to this place is they don't carry Hangar 24. One could only hope that someday they will. Def a fun place to check out if you're in Savannah.

Boo boo boo. I was extremely let down by the service. Girl didn't want me messing with all of her boys at the bar. With a wave of her hand and a shake of her head she shoo'd me away! I went to my seat and waited for a server for 15 minutes. After no one came to take our order we left. I came to my conclusion about Savannah and this tourist town. Less like home and more like "Meh"

I love the concept but based on my experience it overpromises and underdelivers. I requested 6 beers in their wordly menu and they only had 3 in stock? Um..... if you're a WORLD of beer you ought to have all 6. A better name will be "USA of beer" I would understand if they were short 1 out of 6 because it can be a logistical issue with keeping stock. They do have 2 different kinds of menus, one frequent beer menu which has about 20 beers in stock. And the other is the more thorough menu with over 100 items. Still, I had a great time and the staff are good and is a definite must-see in savannah!

There is an overwhelming assortment of beers, but, they have the separated by countries and on Thursdays it's Ladies Day - so on the list is 1/2 price! :) Also, Yelp had a free beer shooter with purchase - woo hoo! I even joined the Loyalty Club.

  • Tommy G.

Wow, what a great place! It is true, they have hundreds of different beers from around the world. I was worried at first though, walking in with a gluten allergy, but come to find out -they have a handful of Gluten Free beers to choose from. I had Greens blonde ale and the dark amber, both come in 16oz bottles. As much as I'd love it if they started to carry some nachos or even peanuts to go with their beers, I think the idea of a chain is to get people in and get them out as fast as possible. ;)

I was in town for the weekend and heard good things about this place. I like beer, mostly safe domestic, so decided to check it out. The selection is crazy, with enough taps and bottle selections to satisfy any beer connoisseur. I'm far from an expert on craft beer however so luckily a friendly and knowledgable bartender, Ashley, was able to help me with some good selections to try and branch out. We had some hits and misses but Ashley was patient with me and before the night was through I darn near a craft beer expert, if only I could remember all of it. What I do remember is that I had a good time and great service. Next time I'm in Savannah I'm sure I'll be back to see Ashley and remember to bring a notepad.

Excellent selection of beer. It was not crowded when we there around 4 PM, which was nice. The bar tender we had was solid and used the proper glass for each selection.

Wow, great selection of beer. At least two dozen beers on draft, and probably 75 or more in bottles. I make it a point to find good beer joints when I travel, and I was astounded by this place. Great warm interior, and at least 6 LCDs TVs to keep you entertained if the beer's not enough. Outside of Atlanta, I doubt there's a better beer selection in Georgia in a beer bar.
