Great food and service. This is about the only place in Savanah that we come back to. The staff will assist you in deciding what to order if you don't quite know what you are eating or not sure of what you want to try. This place is off the beaten path so not to many tourist come here so they have to do a good job to keep the locals happy and coming back.

I've eaten here three times now, each time the service was bad. The food is good except their pho is not that good in my opinion they use a flat noodle which I don't care for and the broth is a bit odd in flavor, but the Korean style BBQ plate with Kim chi was very good. But like I said the service is awful and I don't like that it's always the same guy working the tables, who must be the owner's son or relation of some kind, cause he clearly doesn't give a crap about his job. I also don't care for the style of glasses they serve their drinks in, they are a strange size and are made of glass so for a young child like my son, they could easily knock it over and break it. Anyway, it's not terrible but not great either. Better to order take out once you find something you like on the menu.

Always a pleasure eating here or getting takeout. We used to alternate between the Noodle Bowl and another establishment but the other place was sold and dropped the ball.

It's disappointing to have a place with great food and terrible management. Both managers are extremely uneducated and rude with customers. I am definitely not coming back again.

Terrible service and management. They over charged me and when I asked to talk with the manager, He just scream me in front of mi baby and wife. I will never come back, and if someone have a family, definitely you shouldn't take them there.

Terrible customer service, the owner charged us with $20 for a hot sauce, Definitely I am not coming back!

Pretty good Asian food! I've always been scared of the Asian restaurants that have Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai...seems shady, right? But my boyfriend got the bulgogi noodles and I got the beef pho with tendon and tripe. The bulgogi was quite good (although a little salty), and the beef pho was delicious. I loved that they included the basil, bean sprouts, hoisin sauce, and lime - just how it should be! The summer rolls we got were just okay. The peanut sauce was really liquidy and the rice paper they used was too sticky and was a mess to eat. However, service was great and I really like the concept that you can pick your noodle bowl essentially (any entree + choice of noodle). I will probably be back again to try more types of noodles and entrees!

Overpriced and not very tasty. I paid $17.00 for the over sauced pineapple chicken and a tiny side salad. The staff was very friendly though:)

This was weird... They had rave reviews and was said to be cheap so we went... Okay at first sight inside you can tell they were "classy" and not the jeans and tee spot we were expecting... But after being seated we noticed that a thick slab of white paper covered the top of the tables over their table Linens... We just thought maybe the serve alot of seafood... Wasn't sure... The staff was nice and the food came out quickly... I ordered soup which was good, my daughter got the pad Thai which was unusually sweet... Like it was soaked in honey (picked out the Shrimp and didn't eat it), and my husband got the Shrimp Se Ew which was okay... The price was moderate but not worth it... I won't be back not even for the soup... Sorry...: (

Been here twice and both times they have failed to disappoint! The lady at the front counter is always so nice and helping in helping me decide what to try next. I recommend the calamari- it's amazing!

  • Patrick C.

Absolutely love the soups and the pineapple chicken. Each dish we have ordered has come out perfect. The customer service is great too. Don't let the location dissuade you the food and service is worth it. Also if you don't eat to the point of self loathing Lulu's is next door!

Some hot broth bowl with great noodles is what we were aching for during an unusually chilly Savannah spring day. I had the Chinese duck noodle broth and my dining companion had the dumpling soup bowl. While both were acceptable, our waiter was so-so and the broths were uninspired. Compared to some of the great Ramen and Noodle houses we've experienced in New York City and San Francisco, was quite disappointed with weak flavors that might as well have been broth from a container rather than slow-reduced stock or miso-based. All-in-all it hit the spot for a big bowl of broth but was underseasoned and with flavors that really hadn't developed fully.

Best Asian food ever! They make it clean and savory! Not fishy and sloppy like most asian restaurants in the south.

  • Mark S.

One of my favorite places in savannah. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Would highly recommend the beef bulgogi and the stir fry udon noodles. The owners are also wonderful people!

  • Jainna E.

This place is okay. The first time I came here I ordered the chicken pad Thai and that was alright. The second time I came I ordered pho because I was craving it. The pho was very bland and the noodles weren't even cooked all the way. I can't find a good Pho restaurant here and it's really disappoints me, that's why I decided to start making my own.

My Husband and I had lunch here today. The place wasn't crowded and we were promptly greeted. We started with the Fried Dumplings. Crispy with a nice mild filling of beef and chicken. Plus the sauce was really good. It wasn't salty like many places. i had the Mongolian Shrimp. I am such a fan of broccoli. It was cooked to perfection. Bright green and perfect crunch. Plus the pea pods were bright green. i elected to have wide rice noodles. I just wish there was more of the green stuff that I crave so. I stirred in the bean sprouts with the noodles and thought what a nice lunch. There was so much I brought the rest home for dinner. My husband had Pad Se Ew. I think he picked this dish because one of the ingredients was eggs. He ate it all. I was a bit jealous when I saw he had cucumber slices. Of course I had to steal a few. The best Asian Cuisine since we have been in the south. Believe me we have tried many places. Going again next Friday and making this a regular stop.

Quaint little restaurant with great food and service. I had the Mansala curry with rice noodles and LOVED it!! All fresh ingredients made to order! My husband loves all the soups he has had there and the broths are all delicious!

  • Kayla F.

I loved this place. They are very friendly, have a great menu and offered a gluten free soy sauce! They also make everything fresh and will customize your order!

  • Melissa L.

Seriously, the noodle bowl is a hidden gem. It's in a strip mall, but go in. The flavors of their broths are extraordinary. The pho had a slight cinnamon/clove taste and the pile of fresh basil (2 different types) and limes your given to add yourself just added such a fresh yet comforting effect. The beef and vegetables were cooked perfectly. The portions are plentiful. The tom kha gai was so flavorful, warm and soothing. The broth was a a lovely combination of coconut milk, lemongrass, cilantro and spices. I chose egg noodles, which were chewy and abundant. I snuck some of the basil given for the pho, phenomenal. Definitely try this place. It's so well worth the trip.

    (5)
  • Nicole W.

The lemongrass and coconut soup with rice on the side was AH-MAY-ZING!!!!! The broccoli, the chicken, the creamy lemony taste... Makes my mouth water. Start with the summer rolls and your meal will be perfection.

Today was the first time I tried something different on the menu. Unfortunately I found the dish not to my liking. The sauce on the dish was thick and overwhelming. My husband and I mentioned this to our server. He seemed surprised and offered nothing, no sorry, not to remake it, or another dish. It was weird. A few minutes later I ordered wonton soup. We got the bill and the dish the we tried to send back to the kitchen was on there. My husband quietly asked the owner why it was still on the bill and if he could remove it and the owner argued with my husband! I was shocked. The owner got loud and defensive and said he did not do anything wrong (cooking the dish). Well he did do something wrong; he just lost two regular customers. We have been steady customers this place for years. Pretty sad. It was a $10 dish.

  • Justin H.

Initial review was 5 stars but have to update due to an extremely disappointing dining experience. My wife ordered the pineapple chicken entree and was not happy with it after only two bites, too much heavy sauce, and she sent it back and asked for a simple wonton soup (which was very good). When we got the check we noticed that the pineapple chicken was still on it and inquired about taking it off with the manager. He said there was nothing wrong with the dish and refused to take it off even arguing with me (the customer is always right...) over what amounted to a $10 dish. Very dissatisfied with the service and will NOT be returning to this restaurant. So sad.

After reading the rave reviews on Yelp about this place, I went to the Noodle Bowl with high expectations. I have to admit...I was disappointed. The food is o.k. but just that. I ordered the summer rolls and the beef pho. The summer rolls came with a pretty tasty peanut sauce but were monstrously overstuffed with rice noodles and shredded lettuce. I felt like I was eating the Asian equivalent of a Big Mac with small pieces lettuce falling to the side with each bite (which could have been avoided had they used a single piece of whole leaf). Plus, the mint was placed as a decorative piece at the end of the roll instead of rolled with the ingredients. Very disappointing. I've had better constructed summer rolls from local food trucks. The pho was good. Veggies were provided: thai basil, bean sprouts, and lime juice. Can't remember if I was given cilantro as well. The broth was good though a bit underseasoned. Lots of noodles (I have a hearty appetite and was not left feeling hungry afterwards). Hoisin and Siracha were provided. My overall impression is that the Noodle Bowl is a place for good food. Not great food but good food. Pricing was a bit high though imo.

We arrived at 12:30pm (peak lunch time) and was surprised they weren't busy. He got our drink orders in first, giving us time to look at the menu. When he delivered our drinks, we ordered. What seemed like no wait in getting the food to the table, the food disappeared into our stomachs just as fast. Both the Chicken Pad Thai and Curry Chicken with bok choy, broccoli, julienned carrots, bean sprouts and rice were both great dishes! They have a pretty big menu and if those two dishes were tasty, then another visit is in order to check out their other entrees.

Fantastic food. I had the Pad Thai Chicken and it was perfectly spiced. The spring rolls were great as well. I plan on a repeat visit to try a few more items.

Truly enjoyed the meal I had here! My family and I enjoyed a "small" cup of Tom Kha Gai (it wasn't small at all), summer rolls, chicken soup with rice noodles, and Red Curry with fried and soft tofu. The soup was filled with tasty vegetables and we enjoyed the summer rolls so much we had to order another plate of them. My chicken soup was out of this world and filled with hot broth, cooked vegetables and delicate rice noodles. The tofu in the curry was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place! I'll have to visit there next time I'm in Savannah.

Excellent! The curry was nice and rich. The Mongolian beef reminded me of the tapa in Manila!

The only thing I am disappointed by is that we didn't find this place sooner! Discovered this place completely by accident, but we are so very glad we did. I had wanted to try the Thai place down the street, but after eating at The Noodle Bowl there is no way I am going to be trying another Asian fusion place in Savannah. Location: it's in a little strip mall all the way at the end of the parking lot. Just keep driving past the other few restaurants. It kind of looks like a typical "Chinese" joint but one look at their menu and you'll see that they have everything from Indonesian stews and Vietnamese Pho to yummy Thai curries. The man had beef stir fry with rice noodles, and I had the Red spicy curry with chicken. Both were amazing! I usually don't write many reviews, but after snacking on some leftovers in the fridge I decided I need to write a glowing review immediately. Overall, the service was impeccable and both dishes were phenomenal. Even though my spicy curry was "spicy", I'd rate it a 5 out of 10 on my personal spiciness scale. To be fair though, I am used to extremely spicy food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Asian food, the owners were really nice and the portions generous on top of everything else. I know for a fact we will be going back.... PS. They also have a decent beer/wine/sake selection!

Went here the other day with a group of six from work. Service was fast and friendly. I had the pineapple chicken and it was tasty. All my friends had different meals and were all happy. The place filled up while we were there, but the sound level didn't get loud at all. 100 A+ health rating.

Maybe I ordered the wrong food.. I wasn't too impressed with the food but my boyfriends said he liked it. The service was good though! I think I will give it another chance.

Very good chicken stir fry with egg noodles. Wife had a curry also very good. So far this is a go to place in savannah for Asian cuisine. Will return routinely.

  • J O.

It was so expensive!!!!! But the food didn't justify the price. The food was mediocre at best but extremely pricy. The area is slum and it looks like the hood. The decor was simple. So there's notHing about this place that is price worthy. They really need to rethink their strategy.

WOW! What a great noodle house. I randomly found this place on yelp and dont regret it at all. I was in Savannah for a week and hit this place up 3 times. I wish we had it back at home. Its a little hard to find stuck in a strip mall but an amazing hole in the wall place. If you are around this area dont miss out.

  • Nom N.

I really like this place a lot. I can't think of a single thing I've eaten that wasn't great though my favorites are the pho and tom yum soup. It's a little out of the way but definitely worth the drive.

  • Austin U.

Love this place. I've had asian food from most places here in Savannah, and this is one of my favorites. I can't speak for the appetizers, but I have yet to find an entree I didn't find delicious. Also, the owners and staff are very friendly, service was prompt.

It is in an old strip mall - don't let that stop you! Love the enormous menu. The couple who own this place greet you personally when you come in. Decor not bad for a casual family style restaurant. The place is always spotless when we come. My entire family gets excited when we mention this place. If we lived on the South side, we would be here a LOT more! I love the Beef Bulgogi- I met a Korean girl years ago in college and she taught me how to make it correctly and I have loved it ever since! ( I think in Korea they tend to use pork more often for this dish. ) I get it extra spicy and I can't help, but stuff myself. The soy, sugar and garlic caramelizes and it's finger licking good! Look to the house specialties. They are family recipes of the owners and they are different and exotic , but wonderful as well. I like really spicy, so I have to ask because they have toned it down for more tempered palates. The Teriyaki is also very good! So if you have picky kids that is a great option. Way better than the standard you get in Japanese restaurants. I sometimes get the spring rolls for an app and they are perfect as well. This place has no competition at all in Savannah for what they do. If you are craving Korean, Indonesian etc - you must go! The service is always friendly and they are willing to go through the menu, if you are not sure about the food. It's just great! See you there!

Terrible service and the worst Tom Yum I have had in years. Brocoli and milk does not go in Tom Yum. Makes me believe the other reviewers have no experience with this type food. P.S. It does not have noodles in it. SKIP IT!

A very high quality Southeast Asia restaurants in the US - authentic, unpretentious, but genuine good food. Found this on a recent trip. Singaporean laksa shrimp soup is a must. Beef rendang is also awesome. Spring rolls are delicious Owners are nicest people and attentive. Enjoyed the experience thoroughly.

Everything is very good here! Havent found a dish we didn't love! Their fresh spring rolls and pad Thai are my favs! Husband loves the bulgogi and stir fry.

I only gave it three stars because of the portion size of our takeout order. It was not enough for the amount we paid. The food was great as always. We just were disappointed with the portion size.

Delicious Asian food! The outside of the strip mall restaurant looks a little sketchy, but it's welcoming and pleasant inside. The wonton soup is the best I've ever had. I went with chicken Pad Thai and loved it. There is a very large menu. Service was prompt and professional. The ambiance is casual and quite. I'll be back!

I happened upon this place and was pleasantly pleased with this little restaurant. The menu had great variety and I liked how you were able to choose the noodles. I had the Mongolian Chicken and egg noodles--very basic, but pretty tasty. I recommend the Gooey Cake too. I ordered take out and was expecting a less-than-very-cheery person, but they were very cheery and quick. Also, my order was ready in about 12 mins.

My new favorite asian place. This is in a tacky little plaza. The place is surprisingly large on the inside. The decor is.. well a bit lacking. It has that hole in the wall feel. But wait.... Once you try the food, you are hooked like a crack head. Seriously. The food is delicious. The staff here is so sweet and friendly. The menu has an eclectic collection of various asian cuisine. The menu is many pages. At first, I take this as a warning sign. Too much on the menu is usually a bad sign. Not this time. This food is "the bomb." They have Japanese food, Vietnamese food, Korean food, Singaporean food, Thai food, Chinese food and more. This is what Savannah has been missing. I had the beef bulgogi. Yes, it was great. I love the fresh ingredients. I also had a chicken wonton soup. The soup was so fresh and full of flavor. The wonton noodles are homemade, and fresh. Everything was so good. We had summer rolls. They were divine. The only thing I missed was a bit more spice on my kimchi. (I like a bit too much spice, my friends all say.) The Pad Thai was also delicious. Too many dishes, so little tummy. Yes, you can do take-out. Yes, they deliver. They have space for larger parties. I will be back to try more for sure. I hope to see you there. Happy eating!

We tried the Noodle Bowl on a recent visit to Savannah after reading the high reviews. Neither of us found the food great. Nathan prefers a sweeter pad thai than the dish he ordered. I liked his more savory, salty dish. As for my own, I ordered a tofu curry over noodles. I think I am more used to curries over rice, and I found the curry sauce thick rather than soupy. The ingredients tasted fresh and the staff were quite good. We both decided this is a place we would try again sometime. It may well be its style of cooking is quite different than our favorite Thai places.

My wife and I ate here a few days ago. We were promptly greeted by a polite young lady. It was our first time there and we mentioned that to her. She was a great help in recommending some great options off of the menu and we loved the choices. She was a great server and was even great with our kids. We sat there eating and enjoying our meal. Everything was going great until we later saw the manager (or owner?) yelling at her. It sounded like she wrote something wrong on a ticket. She walked away and he continued arguing with her. She ended up leaving in tears. We thought she was great, but if that's how she is normally treated, I would have left too! He was very unprofessional and he definitely shouldn't have done that in front of customers. We should have left there happy about our meal, but we left feeling bad for the poor waitress.

So awesome that two hours later, there's still a smile plastered on my face. I wanted something different and delicious from my typical Asian fare, so I ordered the spicy bean paste beef, and boy was I happy!!! I had to force myself to get a box to take it home because I would have just stuffed myself!! Owned by really nice personable people. Would give more stars if I could!

The beef Phó here was delicious, I ate the whole thing! The people who work here are super nice, its not very busy but it should be especially with their bulgogi is marvelous the sauce for it is the stuff. I highly recommend you try this place. Also, they do takeout orders.

Had the spicy seafood bowl. Believe them when they say spicy. Fresh seafood, excellent rice and tasty sauce in just the right ratio to the rice. A tad pricey, but very good. Surprised that I was one of only two tables there on a Monday night. You locals need to support interesting choices like this

  • Ashleigh H.

Its hard to find authentic Asian food in Savannah and I am still on the hunt. However, the noodle bowl impressed me last night with their spicy bean paste beef. It reminds me of my grandmas black bean sauce with a twist. I look forward to trying other dishes here and seeing how they stack up. Definitely worth a try if your looking for a mixture of different Asian options and choices.

Asian people who run the restaurant are nice and friendly and the food came out in the blink of an eye! All the ingredients tasted fresh and the price was very reasonable. My favorite Asian restaurant in Savannah so far!

I've stopped off at the Noodle Bowl twice in the past week. On day one, I tried the tofu bowl with the flat egg noodles. The vegetables were all fresh, and the tofu was cooked just just to the point where it wasn't overly chewy. On day two, I went with the Pad Thai, which was outstanding. There is a place not too far from the Noodle Bowl that serves an excellent Pad Thai, but this was right up there with them. Both times, the owner of the restaurant, Tonny Tristanto, was also my server, and he was very attentive. I strongly encourage anyone who stops in to give the spring rolls a try with the peanut dipping sauce. It's highly addictive.

if there's one thing I know it's how to eat noodles, but I'm always wary because of the amount of garbage udon I've had in the states... these cats don't play, they are what they say and don't try to rape the purse. vegetarian friendly, wonderful service, and lively atmosphere. touch the menu with some Thai and get that elusive 5th star.

My boyfriend & I stopped in around 3 pm, so we had the place to ourselves. Super sweet owners(?) who served us. Food came out so quickly & was delicious!! Doesn't look like much from the outside, so we were a bit leery, but so glad we gave it a shot!!

We were so happy to find the Noodle Bowl. This is the type of restaurant that the Low Country area is missing most. Its straight to the point, no frills, no BS, no tourist gimmicks, just good good good food. We ended up here based on a recent Groupon deal that we had purchased. We, my husband and I, were nervous as first based on some of the other reviews but decided to forge ahead. So glad to that we did. Saturday at about 2pm and the place was pretty quiet. We were surprised but it picked up a bit while we were there. The staff, owners I assume, we're friendly and welcoming. They offer two menus - one standard with just words and a picture menu. Most dishes have an option of noodle and sauce type. I decided to go with the vegetable bowl with rice noodles and teriyaki sauce. It was great. Noodles were done perfect, sauce was not too sweet and veggies (including some fried tofu) were wonderfully cooked. My husband went with a chicken curry with flat noodles. He raved about how great it was, but also mentioned that it was very spice (for him). He took half home and was eating it again as soon as we walked in the door! He loved it! We also shared a summer roll appetizer with peanut sauce that was just wonderful. Fresh and flavorful. Food was delivered to our table faster than we could imagine and staff was attentive to us and not over bearing. We're so glad that we had a deal to bring us to the Noodle Bowl but will definitely be coming back again and again.

While staying in our hotel we wanted something close by and came across the Noodle Bowl. We loved we could choose our noodles, the sauce, the meat or the vegetables. We all ordered a different entree so we could share. The portions were very generous and the wait staff were very fast and friendly. Would highly recommend. I just wish we had a Noodle Bowl near our home.

Went to the place last night. Not an impressive decor, but the food is AWESOME! I had the Soto noodle. Members of my family have various noodles & rice dishes, and they are all excellent. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a good bowl of noodle (or rice).

I ordered the Ginger-Garlic Noodle Bowl with veggies. It was okay. The veggies could have been fresh. I went here because the yelp reviews said "fresh." My dish had the frozen blend of peas-carrots-corn.

I've driven by this place for years and never went back in. I had gone when they first opened and the food was a buffet style set up. The food was terrible back then. The owners are the same, but the food has changed TREMENDOUSLY! The Laksha combo is great as is the beef redang. This is probably one of the best asian restaurants in town as the food is pretty authentic. The chili garlic crab is good too. I will definitely be back.

Everything here is fresh and delicious! It's not your typical style of Chinese- its much better. The portion sizes are generous- I have enough mongolian beef left over for lunch tomorrow:) I'm addicted after just one visit! They offer many traditional varieties of Asian fare, and the many options seemed overwhelming at first. However, there is a pictorial menu to accompany the standard menu. It was hard to choose, because everything looked so excellent! The restaurant was not very crowded, and our service was prompt and efficient. The dumpling appetizer was at out table in less than 10 minutes, and our food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Our food was delicious, and we can't wait to go back!

Just got back from a nice little dinner at The Noodle Bowl: first time trying it (recommended by a friend who goes there often for lunch) and I am definitely going back! I had the Stir-fried Udon with chicken and my husband had the Stir-fried Egg Noodles with Chicken; Appetizers were a House Salad with Ginger Dressing and the Fried Wonton, with a pot of hot mint tea. Located in a smallish shopping plaza down the road from Oglethorpe Mall, it looks like a hole-in-the-wall, but has a large, open feel inside with minimal decor. The staff is attentive and friendly, the hostess going from table to table to check on the diners. Good menu choices cover Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Chinese food, all rice or noodle based with a variety of delicious soups. A tad over-priced on the appetizers ($3.50 for only 3 little dumplings, when a bag of 50 will cost you $5 at the local Asian markets--anmd you have to pay 75cents for peanut sauce for your summer rolls!), so we stuck with the simple things: a good, crispy salad and a little plate of fried wontons (my husband really liked them!), though I intend to try the summer rolls another time (I was hungry for vegies so I got the salad). The udon were really delicious, sauce was an even consistency, a tad sweet for me, but they have a selection of 4 condiments ready on the table so I added the red pepper flakes sauce and it was just perfect! Plenty of meat with the noodles too! I like the thick, slightly chewy udon noodles because of the texture, but the taste is also good, especially in this dish--very filling as well. I eat a LOT of Asian foods and cook them at home so I can be a bit hard to please with such places, but I definitely plan on returning soon!

I love noodle bowl for a few reasons: 1. The customer service could not be better. They are SO NICE and amazingly helpful. I am a vegetarian and they made it clear that I can alter almost any dish to make it vegetarian-friendly. They have gone above and beyond for me a couple of times and I really appreciate it. 2. The food is downright awesome. Savannah has a ton of mediocre Asian restaurants and Noodle Bowl is heads above the rest. Food is fresh and complex in flavors. I love it. 3. They deliver! Well, technically, they don't deliver, but they are hooked up with savannah2go so you can get it at home easily. And the prices are so reasonable that the few extra dollars aren't a big deal. All in all, this is one of the best cheap, easy places in Savannah. Such a great option!

Stopped by here for a quick, late lunch today on the way to an appointment. I wasn't sure what to expect since the place was empty, but we were greeted instantly with a smile. Everything on the menu looked delicious and I decided to go with the tom yum with chicken and rice noodles. All of the ingredients were super fresh and cooked to perfection. Maybe they've changed their set up since they first opened, but I didn't see any line or samples. I can't complain though since my experience was great. Like I said, everything was fresh and my soup came out much too hot, just like it should. The chef was adorable and glad to see my friend and I enjoying our meal. I'm so thrilled I decided to stop in. I had no idea what to expect, but I ended up with the perfect lunch that satisfied my Vietnamese soup cravings. I don't know why I've had such cravings in this summer heat, but it was even more like a sauna in S.E. Asia when I went there and I was downing Pho or some sort of soup for every meal. This place deserves all the support it can get! Great prices, friendliest people, and cute atmosphere.

Love this place. Great place for families. The kids love it. I always get the Pad See Ew, but the rest of the family has gotten almost everything off the menu. Never disappoints!

You won't ever find me complaining about free food, but when it comes to $2, I'll complain all day long. My wife had a promo code for Groupon allowing us to buy the Noodle Bowl deal for $2. As it turns out, we overpaid. The service was poor, and the food tasted like leftovers. It's too bad because I remember this place being a little decent when it first opened. I ordered the firecracker beef, and it tasted like slices of old beef and noodles smothered in Sambal. My wife ordered the Mongolian beef with steamed rice. It turned out to be crispy burnt beef with microwaved, yesterday's rice. Ever told your kid not to eat the broccoli? Well, you will when your child eats the broccoli at the Noodle Bowl and makes a face similar to eating three warheads at once. It's too bad though. I had hopes for this place. I will never return unless they realize the negative equity in their food. In other words, they'll have to pay me to come back and eat one of their meals again. Turrable : /

My friend and I went to the Noodle Bowl for dinner, we weren't really sure what to expect, but we were overwhelmed by how delicious it was. We ordered a spicy teriyaki bowl with clear noodles and the beef bulgogi with clear noodles. It was so goooodd. Great atmosphere, definitely off the beaten path, but worth it. The man and woman who own the place greet you and serve your meal, they are so sweet and delightful. Definitely recommend-- ask for extra bok choy because it is cooked perfectly! Super fresh, super delicious and you can make it spicy if that's to your liking. We went to the Viet Huong asian market which is in the same shopping center after dinner and they have great produce and a lot of fun candies, noodles, etc. Super cute on both counts. We can't wait to go back.

I stinkin' loved the Noodle Bowl! We went on a rainy evening with some friends about an hour before closing... Upon arrival and after a super friendly and enthusiastic greeting, we gotten taken down the line of noodles and meats and had everything explained to us, and (tasty) samples forced upon us. I chose the teriyaki chicken on clear noodles with both the bok choy and mixed vegetables. They told me they were a little low on the chicken and that they would bring me more to the table when it was ready (I don't fault them for this at all since they were a new restaurant close to closing). It is worth noting the bowl they gave me already had a healthy amount of chicken in it. We got started sampling the spring rolls and various hot and tangy sauces offered. The spring rolls tasted deliciously fresh, and there was a sauce for whatever craving you might be having. My extra chicken arrived in a heaping, steaming bowl. Soon after followed complimentary fried meatballs and fried wontons for the table. Just like the noodle bowl, they were completely satisfying. I haven't made it back here yet, but I definitely will... Well worth it!

My favorite place in savannah! Excellent food, friendly staff, quick service. My favorite is the tom yum soup, and the gooey cakes are really tasty too. Good variety of different asian foods. The owners are super friendly and if you've been in more than twice, chances are good they'll recognize you. Great place, no complaints whatsoever, highly recommended!

The Noodle Bowl just opened up last month. I had a good lunch, but I was a bit let down by a few things. Here goes. When you walk in, you are greeted by a counter similar to that of the Seasons of Japans. You get to pick you 'meat combo' and your noodle of choice. I opted for the Sesame Chicken with Cellophane Noodles. I gave my order and was wisked down the line. You get your choice of veggies. The normal options apply, snow peas, bok choy, etc. Then everything is tossed in a bowl and covered with sauce. All in all you get your food in about 3 miutes. It was good and cheap. Cost for the drink was under $10. The atmosphere was nonexistent though. I was hoping for a cozy place with waiters bringing me a steaming bowl of noodles. There arent' even any table clothes at this place.

The owner took our order and was very helpful about what was vegetarian appropriate. The Veggie soup with rice noodles was terrific - they even have sriracha handy. Awesome choice in a town that needs more vegetarian options!

The noodle bowl was great. my friend and I went there for lunch around 2:30. The first thing I noticed about the restaurant was how clean it was. The man who directed us to our seats and took our orders was very courteous and accomodating, and we had a hard time choosing dishes from the varied menu. Ultimately, I chose the prikh king curry with jasmine rice and my friend picked the mongolian chicken with egg noodles. Both arrived steaming hot. The vegetables were crisp, but not undercooked, and the curry was plenty spicy. Our waiter was very attentive, and we had plenty of refills. My meal came out to be about $8.50, which I consider a good deal. We'll be returning soon,

My mom and I visited The Noodle Bowl with a Groupon - one of the best purchases we've made so far, and there's been a bunch of good Groupons! Everything we had was absolutely delicious and very fresh. I tried the Pineapple Beef, just because it was something completely different from anything I've tried before. It was wonderful - loved the cilantro and pineapple together. It was like dinner and dessert all at the same time. The serving was generous, and there was quite a mound of beef in my entree. My mom's shrimp stir fry was also a hit, with five huge, perfectly cooked shrimp. I had a taste, and the flavor had just a bit of spice - not too much, but enough to keep your tastebuds interested. We also had fresh summer rolls and fried spring rolls with peanut sauce. Just the right tang to the sauce, perfect crispiness to the fried rolls. The chubby summer rolls were gorgeous - green and flavorful and so pretty you almost didn't want to eat them! We also had two glasses of wine - nicely balanced with our meals and very economical at $5 or less. The service was uber-friendly, quick and efficient. The food came very quickly. Everything was very clean. We will definitely be back to visit!

Such great service and everyone was super sweet and helpful. However, the food was just okay. I really wanted to like it more but the Summer Rolls were bland and peanut dip was too spicey, Sweet and Spicy beef was way more spicey than sweet and the Stir Fry Beef was kind of dry and not flavorful. Nothing was terrible but nothing was fantastic either :(

Noodle Bowl is owned by the sweetest couple you will ever meet! Their food is fantastic. Personal favorites are the Ox-tail soup, Stir fried chicken with clear noodles, and most of their hot and spicy dishes. My husband introduced me to Noodle over a year ago, and the quality of food has not dropped. It is a wonderful place for lunch! They have tons of room and the service is quick. If I worked near the Noodle Bowl I would eat here at least twice a week!

I want to give this place 5 stars really badly. I was seated right away, and they had a nice crowd. First off, I started with a glass of water. Good chewy ice. The owners were very nice, and attentive. I started off with Steamed/Fried Dumplings. That is three pieces with chicken, beef, and spring onions. It had a nice touch with the sauce that gets put over this. My only complaint I have is that these dumplings were cold, lukewarm at best. This is why I only gave it four stars. I then go on to my main course. I had the Teriyaki Beef, but they also have a choice of chicken which is a bit cheaper dark or white, or shrimp for the same price as the beef. I got my main course, and I mixed everything around. The Teriyaki Beef is sauteed in Teriyaki sauce and garlic. Served with broccoli, bean sprout, and bok choy. For my noodle choice, I got the Egg Noodle which is on the bottom. It was very tasty and filling. Usually, I have to put pepper on all of my food, because it isn't seasoned enough, but this was seasoned perfectly. I would for sure give this place another shot, and everybody who reads this should go and try this place.

When I first started coming to Noodle Bowl I always ordered the Stir-fry Noodle which is quite delicious. Not being narrow minded, I decided that it was time to expand my horizons and move on to the soup. My first experience was not a good one and no fault goes to the staff. I had decided to try the Pho. It just wasn't for me. I didn't complain. Instead I ate as much as I could before leaving in a polite manner and thanking the owners who are anything but lovely people. The next time I showed up I explained my thoughts on the Pho, which was of personal taste. That's when I was introduced to the most wonderful soup that has ever hit my palate: Welcome to Tom Yum, a deliciously hot and sour explosion with bok choy, broccoli, and sprouts, with of course, your choice of noodles and either chicken, shrimp, or seafood (shrimp, muscles, scallops). It is so good that sometimes I have to force myself to try other things, and this I have done not to my disappointment, but I always return to the Tom Yum. It's just my favorite. Ever. Anyway, other great things on this menu include the summer rolls, pan fried dumplings, and another soup I cannot remember the name of right now. I still have much exploring to do with their massive menu. I have and will continue to recommend this place to anyone.

Don't believe the negative things people say about this place, its amazing. My boyfriend and i eat here at least once if not twice a week because the food is so good. Not to mention, the service is provided by a husband and wife couple who are there everyday and very pleasant to talk to. They even remember our normal table. The decor is more reminiscent of a college campus feel with SCAD paintings on the wall and low lighting, plenty of seating. I love their combination choice of one meat, one noodle and one type of marinating option (whether its stirfry or mongolian, etc). They offer other main dishes as well but what i said earlier is my favorite. They take the best food options from different asian cultures and make them available and ready to eat in a matter of minutes. This place reminds me most of the asian version of Noodles and Company. Check it out and experience it for yourself!!!

I've tried the Noodle Bowl a couple of times and was very impressed with the quality of the food. The service is quite good as well. The decor is nothing special, but I'll overlook that for good noodles!

Now this place is great, we went on one of the hottest days in Savannah and had some soup. It was suggested by some old lady at a consigment store next door. Anyway, the owners are some very warm people. We were the only people in the place, so I guess we were treated very well. I've heard of ' Pho, which is a Vietnamese noodle type soup. I tried it, and I've feel in love. All of the ingredients were fresh, well prepared and delicious. I was able to taste all of the nuances of the spices, and condiments available, Wow! I need to go there now, my mouth is watering like a dog in a Pavlov experiment.

My husband and I absolutely adore this place. The owners could not be more warm and welcoming. It's a clean, calm atmosphere. The food! delectable! and quite generous. The chef is a sweetheart and very appreciative of compliments. They have a wonderful variety of dishes. I can hardly wait to savor them all! Notably happy tummy approved.

the noodle bowl was disgusting. my roommate and i were really excited to try it for a long time and when we finally did to say we were disappointed was an understatement. it was nearly inedible. we both got the sweet & spicy with shrimp and i had rice noodles, she had egg noodles. so they put some noodles in a bowl, drenched them with a disgusting store-bought sauce, and threw in the grossest shrimp we both had to pick out. i usually consider shrimp the safe option, because it's so hard to fuck up but somehow they did it. what really made it terrible was the sauce, it was really thick and my roommate found it too spicy (but i think that's a gamble you take when ordering spicy food) but i was glad it was so spicy because it made it easier to ignore the flavor.

The noodles here are the best in town- and honestly, this place is fantastic for take out- It may not be the "hottest" interior in town but, really, the food is where it is at! I dare someone to find better cooked noodles anywhere in Savannah. The service is always well balanced- not too much, not too little, and my favorite thing on the menu is the large tom kha gai - so so nice!

Good selection for a good meal. The food is fresh and the service is just right, no pressure and not overwhelmed. Be sure to try the Tom Yum soup. Very nice meal, when coupled with the house salad with ginger dressing. Enjoy!

Much better this time for the PHO they just need to cut the meat thinner and it would have been perfect. I will continue coming here because it's very clean. I like how all the tables have white paper so your not on a sticky table. I enjoy the two places another near by.
