We tried to stay here for three nights but after the second night of 3am drunks loudly disrupting the house we decided to move to other accommodations even though their cancellation policy meant we lost $ 300 dollars. Since there are no staff at night there is no one to complain to and the manager only shows up at 3 pm Otherwise the place is nice, parking is a challenge.

Hotel was nice, but was overpriced for what you get. Rooms were small and laid out wierd. Atmosphere was not worth the additional cost. Also, the breakfast was not worthy of mention.

The next time we go to Savannah we will definitely stay at the Foley House Inn again. First, it's beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous. Our first few nights we stayed in room 102, the largest room in the inn. It had two fireplaces, a sitting area, and a gigantic jacuzzi tub. We have originally only intended to stay for 4 days but enjoyed the city so much we booked an extra day so we had to move rooms. I loved our second room too, room 104. It was smaller, but had brick walls and a private exit to the secret garden area. Very romantic! Second, the inn is dog friendly. And not only little dogs that can fit in your purse friendly but big 110 lb black lab friendly. We got to take our 10 year old dog, Archie with us. The first day we left him alone he was crying in the room so the staff went in and petted him and gave him treats! Who does that? Where do you get that kind of service? At the Foley House Inn, from Katie and Tyler, that's where. We loved both of them. And really hope they are both still there the next time we go back. This inn is directly on Chippewa square and easy walking distance to anything you want to do, great bars, restaurants, gardens, history....and it's haunted! Beware of the soldier who got bricked up in the attic.....

I arrived on Monday August 10th for a 2 day visit to celebrate my wife's birthday. I wanted to make this birthday the most wonderful birthday imaginable. I was successful in this but only because the beautiful lady named Nicole helped it happen. When I arrived, there was a very warm greeting and an offer to help with the luggage. A very nice gentleman arrived and kindly helped us get situated. I went back and told Nicole what I had in mind to celebrate my wife's birthday and she helped me explore through a variety of places that I may make dinner reservations. She made a dinner reservation for us at our chosen place. In wanting this night to be special, I was seeking to start the evening out with a buggy ride through town ending at our restaurant. Nicole called the buggy company and again, made it happen. My wife and I were very satisfied with our stay at the Foley House. Words cannot express the warm hospitality of their entire staff. Truly a little gem in Savannah. Brought our small dog and was welcomed with open arms. Stayed in room 207, needed a little TLC and the shower drain was slow to drain the water out. Breakfast was made to order and the wait staff was very attentive. Will be coming back!

Perfect elopement. My fiance booked the Foley House Inn after researching many inns in Savannah for our elopement package. The big kicker for us was when we discovered the property is pet friendly. We love to bring our labradoodle with us, so this was very nice. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel special. The Inn was beautiful and clean. The sitting rooms were so nice with perfect furniture to match the turn of the century style of the Inn. All the staff was really great. Everyday there were complimentary afternoon tea & sweets, then appetizers and wine at happy hour. Other guests were all very nice and happy as well. As for our actual ceremony, the Inn did a perfect job of putting everything together. They arranged for a minister who had a wonderful, relaxed air about him. The photographer was also very good. He was with us for an hour, including the ceremony, and took so many more pictures than we would have expected for an hour. He even got us a cd of all the images by the next morning so that we'd definitely have them before leaving. We held our ceremony in a private courtyard there at the Inn, and then took pictures in various locations on and around the property. Afterwards, we walked a few short blocks to dinner. There are tons of great restaurants within walking distance, which is very nice. If we had it to do all over again, I would do everything exactly the same. We've already decided we want to go back to the Foley House Inn to celebrate our anniversary!

Our stay in this quaint Savannah B&B was wonderful. The customer service was wonderful and the location was perfect. We were in walking distance of most of the main sights in Savannah as it's located in Chippewa Square. The rooms were gorgeous and clean as well. It's pet friendly and they greeted our dog with a bag of little dog treats from a local dog bakery; a great touch! We had freshly made, homemade breakfast each morning as well as sweets and afternoon tea and savory treats and wine in the evening. What a nice touch to be a little social with fellow guests and the innkeeper. If you have the opportunity to stay here when you're visiting Savannah, book your stay at the Foley House Inn!

This is definitely a pricey place to stay, but it's aces, in my book. The decor is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is amazing, and you're right on the square where they filmed 'Forrest Gump!' Like Meghan C. said, the balcony is TINY, but otherwise, you've got a huge, comfy bed, a nice TV and fireplace, and the service is great. They had someone there to help me carry my bags, all the baby's stuff, and the dog's stuff up to our third floor room, and they are very accommodating. The only thing about the Foley House is that the carafe of dark liquid on the piano is NOT whiskey, like Meghan said. I brought a glass down from the room in the hopes that I could grab a bourbon or scotch while the baby was napping, but it turned out that the first sip was FAR sweeter than I expected! Port wine, it was. Port wine.

Supurb accomodations: incredible breakfasts, nice people, comfy rooms, snacks at 4, wine at 6, port wine 24/7, close to just about all you'll need to see in Savannah, but you might have to put up with a smelly dog running around. Nevertheless, it's where we stay when there.

This place is EXCELLENT. Check in is at 3:00 p.m. and if you beg, you might be able to check in at 2:00 p.m. (even if you KNOW the room was vacant the night before...) - I was traveling with an infant and was hoping to get in a little early and that's all I got. Otherwise, all positive. The rooms are striking - we stayed in the Westmoreland and it was beautiful. It is advertised as having an oversized balcony and we may need to go ahead and reconsider that word - it fit a small table and chair - if you spread your arms out - it was probably that wide. It was a lovely thing to have and we overlooked the square - we drank wine and waved at the trolley tours! The breakfast, I feel, was AWESOME. We had eggs, smoked ham, goat cheese grits, a country biscuit, and quite possibly the best coffee ever. The bed was delightful, mmmmmmmm it was lovely. Re: the loud people - Savannah is clearly, clearly a party town - I was woken up several times by merrymakers in the streets, but now I know to just ask for a room that is facing the garden for next time! I highly recommend - have a great time!

The foley house is wonderful! My hubby and I stopped in for a rest on our drive up the coast. The room was very nice and we were greeted with a bottle of champagne. Katie-the manager was so helpful and made sure we found our room after a long drive. Breakfast was deliciously southern with the cheesy grits. The location was great too. Make sure you have lots of quarters for the meters!

What an amazing place! Great romantic getaway for a weekend right in the heart of Savannah. Christine and Jordan were great help during the weekend and assisted us in making dinner reservations at two fantastic places.

This place is awesome. We checked in and were blown away by the staff and the beautiful room. Unfortunately, our shower was not working, but we were immediately moved to another, even nicer room with a balcony overlooking the square. I was not impressed with the included breakfast, but it was a small price to pay for everything else being so wonderful. Its pricey, but well worth it.

I read other reviews and see that room 102 is mentioned quite a bit. It must be a newly renovated room and reflects the inviting "luxurious" video on their website. There is a big difference between charming and old/worn/stained. The website images and videos are deceiving. My room was unclean when I arrived, there was a strange tapping sound, loud air conditioner and one of the bathroom lights was blown. There is also a thick uncomfortable feeling and smell..if you easily pick up vibes... The room was very small especially for the asking nightly rate. Also, no one mentions that if you have luggage and plan to stay a few nights, pack light because you have to climb several stairs to get to your room. It does fit the old charming artsy energy of downtown Savannah, and the place would really be lovely if the property was cared for. The one star I give this rating goes to the kind service I was given when I checked out because I just couldn't stay there. I had to go to a nearby hotel. Most definitely not worth the money and I am really in awe with the 4 and 5 star reviews. Clearly there must be a secret entrance to this place that I didn't get a chance to experience.

Really loved our stay here so much that we booked a extra day. We stayed in room 102 for 3 days and what a room it is. Double fireplaces jacuzzi bathtub glassed inclose shower. Was like staying in a 4 star suite. On the 4th night we moved to room 104 smaller room with a fire place but the best part of this room is you have direct access to one of the courtyards. The inn is on the square where they shot the scene from Forest Gump so lots of people in that square at all times. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to Savannah.

Savannah is a very walkable city and the location of Foley House is excellent. We arrived on a Sunday and felt well taken care of by the front desk staff...Christine, Katie, and Chuck. Our room was very large with two fireplaces, two sitting areas, a bay window, and whirlpool tub. The entire place was very charming. It's the best room I have ever had for an over night stay. On Sunday we enjoyed lovely sweets yet missed the hors d'oeuvres due to other plans. Very impressed by the sweet selection...flavor, presentation, and variety. However, on Monday disappointed by the flavor of the breakfast, and the lack of selections at night. If they could amp up the food during the week to match Sunday that would be best. I really do hope they double check a room before saying it is ready. The end tables next to the bed were very dusty, and there was a doggie biscuit left on the floor from a previous guest. There was also a supply issue of not providing an extra roll of toilet paper nor shampoo until requested. Foley House is an excellent choice, just a few tweaks needed for 5 stars and a return visit. They also have a pretty outdoor garden with a fountain.

We had a great two day stay at the Foley Inn. We were welcomed right away with Sweets and Tea, had a great room with a king sized bed--rare for an Inn, received great recommendations from all of the staff. And the housekeeper even came after me outside to let me know I had left a precious item. The location can't be beat and the 'round the clock port is a nice touch!

Just got back from my first visit to Savannah, and enjoyed a one-night stay at the Foley House Inn. Foley House Inn is one of those Savannah townhomes that you pass as you stroll through the squares and say "Ah, I'd love to live there." Right on Chippewa Square, it is part of a Savannah postcard scene. Though all the squares are beautiful, Chippewa is basically dead center of the historic district, so you're no more than a 10 minute walk from River Street, Forsyth Park, Colonial Park Cemetery or anyplace else you may want to wander on foot. It's also the only B&B I happened to see in the central historic district (though I wasn't looking exactly) - most of them seemed to be in the less-ancient (and less quintessentially Savannah) Victorians further south by Forsyth Park. The B&B itself struck the perfect balance for my partner & I. They have some fancy/romantic little offerings that may strike some as kind of corny but may be super appreciated by just the right couple. For us, it was in the middle - we don't thrive on being "fancy" but we sure enjoyed afternoon tea and sweets, and evening nosh before we went out to dinner. The atmosphere lives up to this stately historical Inn without being pretentious, and I can say the same about the staff. They were formal, but utterly friendly, helpful and informative. The young man at the door in the evening was especially helpful. He pegged my partner and I as not-your-typical B&B Savannah tourists and gave us some excellent not-for-tourists advice on dining and other tidbits. At his advice, we had an excellent Thai meal not far from the hotel. They advertise as pet-friendly and, with my two dachshunds, they proved it. They gave us a little welcome bag of treats, in addition to a sheet of useful information, including the locations of area dog parks and dog-friendly outdoor dining. Our hostess offered to put us down for breakfast in the courtyard in the morning, so that the dogs could join (we enjoyed our breakfast in the courtyard, but decided the pups would be too annoying during a meal and left them in the room after all). Our room was cool, comfortable, clean, and relatively quiet. It felt like a B&B without feeling like a room in Grandma's house, which is characteristic of the whole establishment. Foley House Inn isn't cheap, but honestly it didn't seem too different price-wise from the far less interesting chain hotels in the historic district. I definitely got more out of this stay than from any chain hotel I've ever stayed with.

We stayed at the foley house last weekend when we were in savannah. Enjoyed our stay. They had a cocktail hour with appetizers when we got there and a complementary breakfast. Breakfast was good but not great. The rooms were nice and service was good. Would stay there again.
