Don't miss this spot if your visiting Downtown Savannah. If it's slow when you come in hang out a while. Some of the most interesting people you will meet here. Like their t-shirt says. "A Sunny Place For Shady People"

I love a good dive bar, and this is now my favorite one in Savannah. I'm a huge blues fan, so when we walked in and the band was playing Otis Redding, I swooned. Here's the deal: this isn't where you're gonna get fancy and impress your friends. This is where you'll hear great music, get a decent drink and have a good ole time. Plus, they have $1 Jello Shots. Who can turn that down? Definitely gonna be a regular here.

If you love to do karaoke, then this is your type of place. The place may seem a little shady but it's a great place to chill. The drinks are cheaper than the other bars and they have $1 Jell-O shots. The owner of the place, Boonie and her daughter, are the main bartenders and are really nice and friendly. I have never tried any mixed drinks here. I usually get Beer or Fireball shots here. PLEASE NOTE: This place has a $20 minimum for using credit cards.

Terrible bar. Heard great reviews so we brought our group of 50 wedding guests. The 37 year old GROOM did not have his license on him and didn't let him in. I know "it's the law" but come on....I hope the owner sees this and fires the girl carding. Lost about $1000 of business tonight. Way to think it through

Love this place! A hole in the wall dive bar but always a fun place to go. The bartenders are nice too. One of my favorite bars in Savannah.

Awesome bar with a 'local feel,' or at least so it seemed. Had karaoke going when we were in town and it was a blast--The crowd was a lot of fun!

We love Ms Bonnie and Jessica, two of the nicest people you'll ever meet, the atmosphere and music is awesome, great karaoke and let's not forget our rob, he's def part of the entertainment there!

My review is only for the live music and bar; we didn't order food. The band we heard Wednesday night included a man who probably is the best blues guitarist in Savannah, inquire if he's performing other Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 9 PM. 5* for the musicians. 5* for the location on Bay Street in the historic district, right near one of the city-run indoor parking garages ($1 an hour in evenings). 5* for the bourbon--who cares if it was in a plastic cup and skimpy--the fantastic music was FREE and the drink price was proportionate to the number of ounces, and bourbon for me always gets 5 stars. I will have fond memories of this dive bar.

Okay place to stop in for a drink. Had a "locals" feel to it, and the drunk girls were a hoot to watch

Little dive bar. Not the cleanest, but they let you write on the walls. Which is totally awesome!!

This place was cool. Margaritas and jello shots were tasteful, and the karaoke was entertaining! Decent bar to stop into while walking. The music was also diverse enough so that no genre was neglected.

Total dive with terrible karaoke on a Saturday night. Everyone in there was having a blast. I don't know if I'd get anything other than greasy fried bar food here, but the beer was cold & the people were friendly!

My husband and I stopped in and the owner Bonnie was nice as can be! This bar is a must see! We love family owned businesses. They collect $25 to donate to St Jude's and you can decorate your own ceiling tile which I thought was so cool. You can write on the walls which is unique. Karaoke starts at 9 PM. Stop in and have a fireball shot.

This place is a SuperDrive bar with writing by patrons all over the wall. They gave 1 dollar jello shooters and plastic cups if that gives you a good example. The hit man blues band plays wed and thurs nights and they are really good for a live band! They should be playing somewhere nicer but none the less come here after a couple of beverages and you won't notice the weirdness of people and how divey it is! People watching is fun here though. Bottom line ....If you want a live band playing blues/jazz good music then stop by here!

Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time at this place. Pathetic, aggressive, drunk men with nothing better to do but yell at a group of women. People working at door did not care. Will NEVER return and will tell everyone I know to never come here.

overpriced beer, lackluster service. I will give it to the band, I was skeptical at first, but they jammed. gross bathroom, no need to stop here.

Dive bar..term can describe anything from a comfortable-but-basic neighborhood pub to the nastiest swill-slinging hole. Bay Street Blues, nestled in the heart of Savannah's popular Bay Street tourist jaunt falls into the latter. Horrible service, over-priced drinks, with a bathroom that resembled a sewer. Was hoping to catch a good blues band, instead...had to endure the most tone death karaoke singers in my lifetime. I'd return if a great band was playing, otherwise spend your time and money elsewhere.

Very fun, energetic place. Ever in Savannah, dont miss out on this place. Yeah, the crowds a little young, but it's a mixed crowd and so far very cool and easy going. The killer part is the all night Karaoke...too funny. Okay, so I started that first portion of the review very early on as we got there. As the night went on, the place emptied and filled several times throughout the night. The best had to be an older lady that seemed to be dancing to her own tune (running on in her own head, if you know what I mean). Let's just say that before the night was done, she was escorted out of the place against her own will. Very entertaining in deed. And this was the beginning night of a 3 night weekend in Savannah...gotta love it.
