Excellent food, not cheap but fairly priced for what you get. This was the first week the place was open and the process for getting your order in was clumsy. They got mine wrong--also didn't remove chicken and sub for shrimp which I asked--but made it right quickly. However, the noise level in this place is off the charts. It wasn't even crowded but it sounded like Grand Central Station in there. Hard concrete floors don't help, nor does the kitchen that is right on the dining room area. Really, really annoying and for the price--which I'd be surprised if you can get out for less than $30 a couple--it should be quieter than your typical McDonalds. It's not.... and that to me is a big liability, albeit one that can be fixed.

I come here often during lunch break. I've had no problems with their service. I like the chicken teriyaki stir fry and chicken tikka masala. The tikka masala is very very spicy but I love it. It also doesn't really taste like ones you'd get at an Indian restaurant but it's still good in a different way. I also like the bottled organic mango juice. Yum. The portions are pretty big. The staff are friendly and will come by to check if you need anything. They also always help me with customizing my orders since I don't like some of the ingredients.

The food as always was good. I really enjoy the panang chicken. ( ask for an extra bowl and mix the rice and chicken together) However the cashier was not at all happy to be working, Nor was she happy I was there to buy from her employer. If was my business I would immediately offer her an opportunity to work somewhere else. I would have given it 4 stars if just reviewing the food. I give them 6 months unless they hire competent people.

Great addition to the area. I was driving down Alpharetta Highway when I saw this new Tin Drum location. I was about to go to Chipotle but decided to take a detour. I had Tikka Masala with shrimp and brown rice. We had a little miscommunication regarding the exclusion of chicken from my dish. However, the super friendly and attentive staff quickly took care of me ensuring I got what I originally intended. It was tasty and verrrry spicy. Come on down and check this location out. They just opened this week and have a whole schedule of activities/promos planned for week of 4/15-4/21.

I don't get it. I mean the place is neat and clean. And it better be, it's new. But it is not all that. I had the Basil Fried Rice with chicken and a Thai Ice Tea. Favor-wise, it was nothing special, tea included. Maybe I need to try something else. But it certainly won't cross my mind on the weekend, guaranteed.

Tin Drum always has good food. At this particular location, I told the girl at the counter three times that i wanted beef with my Lo Mein noodles (yes, three times since I could see on her face that it wasn't registering) - sure enough, it came out with chicken and I had to wait for it to be remade. The prices are too high here for what you get, too. Noodles with a few veggies and a couple pieces of meat shouldn't cost close to $12.

Some of these reviews were pretty harsh! This is not gourmet Asian cuisine people. What it is is fresh food fast that tastes really good. Somebody on here said "worst Pad Thai ever"...not by a longshot! It was very good. Portion size for price was good and crab rangoon thing was awesome! Manager was excellent and staff seemed eager to please. I would definitely return on a regular basis. I think that they will be around for quite awhile. Glad that they have outdoor seating!

Food was horrible, dry chicken, soggy, plenty of rice not much meat. Worse Pad Thai ever tasted. Completely tasteless food. Disappointing.

Look, I know this is a chain but I really really like this place. It's simple, tasty food served in a nice clean environment. We like to visit about once a week. Oh! but you know what would make it BETTER? ...........some beer. Yeah, I would really go for that.

I never got to eat the food. after i ordered an employee sweeping floor noticed i was wearing a t shirt that featured charleston sc on it and started saying what a bad place charleston was. i didn't come to the tin drum for a travel review. this was to be my first visit. nice impression. i asked for my money back and left. from other reviews i believe they have an employee and management problem. if management allows rude employees to work there, they are not managing well. a million other places to eat in roswell ga

I love their massaman curry! I've had it a few times. It's the best I've found in Roswell thus far. They're veggie spring rolls are fresh and crunchy and the sweet sauce that comes with it is delicious. The only thing I would change is the amount of onions in a veggie massaman curry. It had lots of onions, a few potatoes, a couple cashews, like 4 carrots and one thin slice of avocado. I would add more carrots, potatoes and avocado to a veggie massaman and it would be perfect cause the flavor is great! Staff is very friendly and food was served quickly.

Not bad considering what it is....food was good and made to order. They actual use spices and it isn't a goopy, oily mess.. Will go again

Would have gotten a five but my last trip really was bad. So, my first time here the lovely and knowledgeable Kiara suggested the Pad Thai. Great decision! Service was quick and the Pad Thai was sweet, spicy, savory deliciousness. Went back the following week for the Pad Thai, didn't get to see Kiara lovely smile and when I got back to the office there was some strange rice dish in my bag! They lose a star for the order snafu!

I hadn't been to a Tin Drum in ages, but my coworker said that their chicken tikka masala was nice and spicy, so we stopped in for lunch. She got that and I got the kung pao stir fry and a basil roll. I like that they've added pictures of most of the items so that it is easy to see what you're getting. Some of the tables are screwed into the floor, which made for some tight quarters, but the food came quickly so it's not like I had that long to dwell on the seating. The CTM was definitely spicy. The basil roll was ok - the veggies were a little pickled/limp/damp as if they were past their prime... but the Kung Pao stir fry was good, with flavorful with plenty of kick. I would've preferred more veggies - not just onions and peppers, but I did enjoy the fine chop on the peanuts. Both bowls come with at least 2 cups of white rice underneath the chosen item.

Love the Pad Thai. Chicken is always flavorful, not chewy, and tender. It is very consistent! Good choices for kids too!

I can't give this place two stars. I have eaten here several times, thinking one day I would have a good meal. There are much better options in the area. I think even the Chipotle next door has better food. Cheap? Yes. Tasty, not in my opinion. My advice, skip this one. You won't be missing out on anything.

I can say there are many tasty dishes on the menu. I can't speak for the chicken, but their tofu is pretty good. My favorites are Panang curry, Basil fried rice, and Sing Chow Men. The Panang is a rich coconut milk based curry with some veggies. I always get extra broccoli with this one. The basil fried rice has some onion and garlic notes, a good savoriness I can't place, and pops of basil(!). The Singapore noodles have some good spice stuff going on like a mix of South and Southeast asian flavors. Very tasty. Best appetizers go to the crispy shrimp tacos, the Thai basil rolls, and veggie/crab spring rolls. I do have some not-so-favorites, like their Pad Thai. It's in a overly sweet and sour kind of sauce, so I'd recommend staying away from this one. The prices are pretty reasonable, about 8-9 bucks for a filling entree and all the water you care to drink. I highly recommend this place!

Grabbed a couple of orders here with my daughter on a snow day. Pad Woon Sen and Basil Fried Rice hit the spot. The only thing I wish is that they wouldn't cook their chicken so long - it's flavorless and dry. I never remember this until I take the first bite of my dish.

I have to say that I love Tin Drum and have been to the locations in Cumming, Perimeter, and Atlantic Station to get my fix. When the husband and I suddenly spotted this location near our house the other night, we were (1) shocked that it had opened without us even knowing that one was coming our way and (2) both excited about the proximity to our house and frightened by the proximity to our house. Takeout in our future? Yes. So less than 48 hours after spotting this location, we were back to give it a try. It's certainly smaller than their other stores and has a heck of a lot less space for ordering, but that's ok if you walk in knowing what you want. This probably isn't the best location if you need to stand around making a decision about what to order. Unlike other reviewers, we had no problem with service. The girl behind the counter was friendly, and the service was speedy. There were no issues with our orders, and we devoured our food with great vigor. My husband went with his old standby of the chicken pad thai, and I opted for the chicken teriyaki stir fry with sauteed chicken. We were completely satisfied at the end of the meal. As far as takeout Asian chains are concerned, I don't think you can beat the quality of Tin Drum. Is it super authentic? Probably not. But it beats the stew out of the nastiness I've experienced at other, more common chains found in just about every strip mall.

I eat here regularly and I'm not sure where all the complaints are coming from. Service is great, food is always tasty and hot. I've never had an issue with 'dry chicken' or 'cloudy broth'. The food isn't over salted or 'rotting'. I think a competitor is trying to drive the ratings down with so many negative views piled on top of each other so quickly.

This was the worst thai food I ever ate.. Hardly any veggies, noodles were stiff and cold.. Definitely a disappointment

Very simple to describe this place. Food court Asian you find at the mall in a strip center. The only thing the mall food is probably slightly better.

This is my second time here. It's ok, descent food if you in the mood for something different in the Roswell area. I ordered the Mango stir fry. It could have had more mango and more sauce. Other then that it was good. I say give them a try.

Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Unfortunately the food isn't very good. Mediocre quality of ingredients and preparation is poor. And to top it off, it's not cheap.

Well, at least the staff is friendly. Paid 14 dollars for a small bowl of rice with some fried chicken snd spinach that had no flavor. Ordered spring roll and pot stickers. Roll was soft and had far too much cream cheese. The pot stickers, if u want to call thwm that. Were small , tasteless, and obviously deep fried, for too long. Overall I paid far too much for far too lottle.

I remember the first time I tried Tin Drum and it was actually pretty good. It was at the location near Perimeter about 4 or 5 years ago. It seems with the expansion of more franchise locations they have lost their spunk along the way. I remember I used to get the pho, the spicy ramen (not on menu anymore), and many of their thai dishes and it tasted really fresh for a fast-casual joint. But when I went to eat at this new location a few months ago. I ordered their pho and it was the biggest disgrace to the cuisine I had ever tasted. The broth was sweet when it is usually supposed to be salty. It came out luckwarm, and anyone that knows Pho, knows that the broth needs to be coming out piping hot to be authentic. The worst part was the "beef"... Instead of the traditional slices of rare steak you find in any pho joint near Buford hwy, they used some sort of ground hamburger beef. It was terrible.. The service was good and they were friendly so I can't give them a one star but honestly the name Tin Drum used to have some dignity.

We were hoping this would be our go-to Asian bistro in this area, but this place seems wildly inconsistent. On my wife's first trip she had the pad Thai, but she did not enjoy it. She was assured by her friend who took her there that other dishes were better, so we went together yesterday and tried the Singapore noodles and the mango chicken. The Singapore noodles were served in a deep bowl, which allowed a lot more of the oil to pool at the bottom. The chicken was a bit tough, and the curry on the noodles was still a little gritty. It also had mushrooms, which I haven't seen in other iterations of that dish previously, but if you like mushrooms I'm sure it's fine. The mango chicken was the best dish so far, except that it seemed to be served on top of a quarter of a portion of brown rice. It would be better served with a bowl of rice to the side so that the rice doesn't all get super saturated with the sauce. I was surprised to see Thai tea available for the normal drink cup, and it was pretty good, but I tired of it way more quickly than single serving versions of the drink. The blackberry jasmine tea was probably the best non-carbonated beverage available. Overall, we probably will go back from time to time, but we are still searching for something to replace our Asian bistro from our old home.

After driving past so many times and always wondering how good the food was since a good friend of mine would frequent the Georgia Tech location any times as a student there years ago, I decided to stop in Tin Drum for a late lunch today. There was maybe only one other patron inside besides myself so there was no long wait, and I was greeted by the cashier. Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant was very clean with ample seating, and instead of taking my lunch to go, I decided to dine in. I believe Tin Drum is a Thai fast food chain ( correct me if I'm wrong ), and it's been years since I've had Thai. Was I expecting anything authentic? Nope, but I did want to give it a try. I chose the Sesame Stir Fry with grilled instead of crispy chicken. The food was made to order and within minutes it was brought out to me. All in all, it was decent. I felt like there was more rice than grilled chicken and broccoli, but it wasn't that bad. I would come back to try a different dish to see if my opinion changes.

Service was excellent. Everyone greeted me with a smile and was very friendly and pleasant. Food was ready promptly. But the food was meh. It was a bit fast foody and the menu threw me off... couldn't tell if it was Japanese, Thai, Indian or Chinese food? So, to play it safe I stayed with a simple teriyaki bowl. It was ok, the rice (no brown rice?!) came in a separate box, bummer, I was eating over my lap so I couldn't mix them. The teriyaki sauce was very sweet and there was a lot of it. It was ok, I've had a lot better. Very fast-foody. Also ordered a cookie, and bummed that I didn't get it! I think I was expected to grab it at the register, but I didn't think about it and missed out on my sweet tooth.

I've been to several other Tin Drum locations, and I'm glad to say that this brand new location maintains the same quality of food and service. We had my in-laws in for a couple days and took them for dinner. Neither claimed to have had Thai food before, and they seemed pleased with the Pad Thai they ordered. My wife had the Pho with beef. One comment she had was that the pieces of beef were on the large side for a soup-type dish. My daughter and I had the Panang Curry, and it was great - slightly spicier than I've had before at Tin Drum. The Thai iced tea was REALLY sweet - much sweeter than I've had at other locations. I let the staff know, and they investigated the possible reasons, offering the method of steeping the tea as a possible reason. Service was fast and friendly, with offers to get condiments and frequent checks on how we were doing. Good job! The location is in a corner of a strip shopping building. Getting in and out could be tricky, but there's plenty of parking. Inside is roomy, and they offer sidewalk dining and free WiFi.

My coworker and friend recommended this restaurant to me. So glad I listened, the food was delicious. Very flavorful and the chicken was moist. The broccoli was cooked nicely and the sauce was very nice and there was plenty in the dish. They had a whopping business. I got my to go as I was crunched on time and wasnt able to eat in the restaurant. But when I brought it back to the office several coworkers asked me where I went and commented on how good it looked and that they wanted to know where I got the food from. Definitely recommend, it's not what I would call traditional asian cuisine, but it sure does taste good.

I used to love this place. But lately they have started to skimp on meat and chicken portions and the chicken has been dry. Not as fresh tasting either.
