A small sandwich shop with the basics at inexpensive prices. I get the impression that they cater to regulars, or at least folks who know what to expect from visiting other MFP locations. Before we could even get to the counter, one of the food prep staff had come out front to ask what I wanted. As I took the time to peruse the menu, my friend gaver him her order and away he went to make it. I finally decided on the turkey reuben (noticing that they didn't appear to have any red meat options) and got a side salad instead of selecting the bagged chips. Our orders came up fast enough that we got them while payments were being processed. The side salads were pre-plated and waiting in the cooler, along with the dressing packets. Drinks are served in styrofoam cups. The space itself is pretty spartan - wooden chairs and tables, not much decor other than the menus, and mirrors on one side to make it appear larger. Definitely appeals to the economical, no-frills lunch crowd. The reuben was pretty good, but definitely needed the dressing/dipping sauce that comes on the side. The side salad was HUGE and full of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, carrot sticks (from full size carrots, not mini ones), and sprouts. I'm not sure I'd recommend going back, but if you do go, get the side salad.

Mom and I stopped off here for a quick, late lunch while running errands one day. We were greeted immediately, and Mom was able to quickly learn about the vegetarian options available to her. She had a good, old-fashioned grilled cheese sandwich. She made it disappear. I had a chicken salad sandwich on multigrain bread. I can see why the chicken salad is their best seller. It is certainly a crowd pleaser. Overall, service was very fast, and the our food was exactly what we needed: tasty and filling. We'll go back. Holler if you're coming with.

What a great place to have lunch! The food is fresh and quick to get us in and out in a reasonable time. Try the homemade chicken salad sandwich! Yum

Ordered a cup of lobster bisque and a the broccoli turkey melt. The bisque was less than room temperature and had no evidence of lobster in it. The only thing that was warm enough to be melted was the cheese. The broccoli was raw and dried out, like it was old, and the turkey was still cold.

I usually go to MFP in Duluth but since I was off work and craving a tuna melt, me and my partner went here instead. The tuna melts were really good but they are missing alot of the specialty sandwiches, i.e swimmer and things I am used to in Duluth. But anyways, lunch was good. Building or space could be a little more updated. They seemed to have a good lunch crowd though.

Their chicken salad is the perfect amount of everything. Soft white bread and I opted to add chedder. Soup, 1/2 sandwich, and a drink for under 7 bucks. Plenty of cookies, chips, and salads to add for really cheap! Great place for a good lunch without a Hassel.

friendly staff, good food (it's just a sandwich place) at good prices. Owner is often there. Small business kind of place and I like supporting these places as opposed to a big chain. Often eat there on Friday or Sat lunch. Try the soups and pitas (chunky chicken or tuna or egg salad)- they are great.

Based on yelp reviews, I came here for my sandwich to go. I also ordered a brownie to go. Both were very good, and I'd return in the future. But, if the staff were a little friendlier for "to go" customers, it'd be a positive experience, instead of just neutral.

I was there for lunch on Friday. Reasonable price for their not-bad sandwiches. The line was long and it was really crowded. But I guess it was because this place is good for simple lunches. It was kind of like a dining hall. I ordered a mini tuna mushroom melt on white bread. It was pretty tasty and the size was just alright.

Awesome sandwiches at an awesome price. It's almost hard to believe the quality of meal you get here for around $5. My girlfriend discovered this place about a month ago and we've been back twice a week ever since. The chicken wrap and BLT are off the chain good. My choice of side is undoubtedly the lobster bisque. So far I have yet to find any real "Cons" to this place. The service is fast and friendly, the food is made with all fresh products and produce (very important to me) and the prices are more than reasonable. So if you've had doubts about trying this place then throw them out the window!

This was a good place. Placed an order for a meeting sized platter and got a good variety of different sandwiches and wraps. Also had good sized bag of chips, drinks and the cutlery and napkins. The food itself was great, the chicken was not your usual sandwich chicken that taste like rubber. Instead it was juicy and everything tasted fresh. They put all the items like tomatoe and things people may not always want on the side and this made it easy for people to build their own sandwich. All in all, I would get a sandwich from these guys again ;)

Friendly fast service with a simple sandwich menu. Good food for a good price. Been eating here on and off for about 4 years. A toasted tomato sandwich on a warm Summer day, sitting outside...YESSSS! Sounds like a good Friday sandwich.

My Friends Place, unfortunately, is not a place where you'll make friends. Regulars are treated like kings and queens, but not so much if you're new. Their tuna was, in a word, gross. It was puréed with an extreme amount of mayonnaise. I had a tuna melt, mind you, but on a very flimsy pita. It was impossible to eat as a sandwich because structurally, a flimsy thin pita cannot hold that much mayonnaise, let alone tuna. I ended up picking the tuna out of the pita, which was rendered mildly palatable by eating it with bites of salad. Their side salads are pretty good -- large salads with fresh carrots, sprouts, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It did not help that the service was just a little off and not at all friendly. When we walked in, one of the folks behind the counter came out and started taking orders from the people in line. This happened almost instantly when we got in line. Very bizarre because since we were new, we really had no time to look at the menu. My friend ended up changing her mind, but they wouldn't let her change her order. Unfortunately, if the guy who came to the line responded the first time when she tried to get his attention rather than gab with the person, she might've been able to get it changed in time. They also asked us how we liked our food, and when my friend mentioned the mayo was a little much for her, the person responded with a snotty "oh, well, everyone else likes it." Sure, if it's popular, don't change for one person, but that response just didn't come across as very friendly. Overall, it was a weird experience. I don't think we'll try to make new friends there any time soon.
