This is the BEST Chinese delivery in the area and I have been experimenting hit or misses for a while. I now order almost weekly. Convenient, fast, fresh, and great combination deal. Also, I am addicted to their Mongolian Beef. Most other place prepare it watered down. They make it they way it should be. Must try!

Was ok, nothing fabulous about it. I expected more since it has high reviews. I most likely won't be back.

Really big portions. I ordered take out and everything was correct. Food was very tasty. I loved the egg rolls. I ordered the cashew chicken as well and it was perfect. They deliver within 4 miles. So if your close, I guess you could use that. I only wish they had a better website. They were really friendly too. Overall an enjoyable experience.

No MSG upon request?? That means there's MSG in the food --possibly the most disgusting food I've ever eaten, not really sure if that was even real chicken, cold food, egg rolls are hard as rocks, I guess this is a step up if you eat fast food which I don't. Will not be returning...I try not to put unhealthy processed food in my body but sometimes you just want to order good takeout. China Garden is not good takeout.

This is my go-to place for crab rangoons and/or a quick Chinese lunch near the office. I do wish it wasn't ON Mansell, but what are you going to do?

Have been ordering here for years. A few recent experiences at with other places have once again led me back here with more frequency. Delivery is always very fast - food is very consistent and of good quality.

Some of the worst food I have ever had, delivery was rude, food was ice cold. over priced.Do yourself a favor, heat up some left overs.

The serving sizes and definitely shrinking and degrading. My last order included pork fried rice and there were only 3 small pieces of pork, no egg and virtually plain brown rice. Cheap and not flavored! Very disappointing as this place use to be much better. I am wondering if they are cutting down on everything because their business is down? This quality and price will surely make me go elsewhere. Will try one mor time before abandoning.

I may be turning into a Chinese food snob .... but lately we've been eating on Buford Highway and frankly, most of the suburban Chinese American restaurants pale in comparison. But to be fair, establishments like China Garden know their clientele, and cook accordingly. (Two couples with us, dubbed China Garden 'the best Chinese restaurant in Roswell.') My husband and I thought the food was average. My hot and sour soup missed the mark, and our entrees -- Happy Family and House Special Chicken -- were um.... average. Nothing wrong with them, but not memorable. (The gratis bowl of 'fried rice' is really nothing more than white rice with soy sauce.) The staff here is very, very nice and service is swift and efficient.

The ladies at the front were very friendly and as we looked to our left they were preparing for a large party (which had arrived by the time we left), so it looks to be a good location for a party. There was still plenty of seating on the right-hand side of the restaurant and the friendly service continued. We overheard several pleasant interactions with the staff at nearby tables so it appears there were a lot of regulars in attendance. Since this was our first visit we picked several "safe" dishes: I had the Tangerine Beef, my wife had the lettuce wraps, and we both had wonton soup and eggrolls. Normally I prefer a lighter application of sauce, but the Tangerine Beef was served in a bowl with the beef swimming in sauce. The good news is that it was full of flavor and I could drain off the sauce with the spoon provided. It was quite spicy and the glasses for our Diet Cokes were thankfully large. We did have to specifically request a refill, however. The wonton soup was quite bland, but a shake of salt was all it needed to give it at least some savor. The lettuce wraps came with plum sauce and my wife really liked their flavor and the generous wraps were fresh. The eggrolls were basic but crisp. We were served steamed rice, but according to the menu you should be given the option to select fried rice, or upgrade to brown rice. The strongest of the negatives of the evening was the very poor state of the women's restroom, which my wife found a strong turn-off.

Every time my husband comes back from a business trip we order takeout from China Garden. Our food is always delivered in 10 minutes or less and is piping hot. Our favorite dishes are General Tso's chicken and sesame chicken. Incredible! We usually order crab rangoons and vegetable spring rolls, too. I haven't been disappointed by them yet!

I'm not a fan of Chinese food but I will order from here and the food is always good, no mystery meat. Delivery is quick also.

The location around this place didn't look too nice. But don't judge a book by its cover. I never really dine in. The delivery is usually on time. This is one of the few takeouts that does not make my stomach hurt the next day. The price is pretty high though... Get the Mongolian Beef!!!

I've been going to this spot for over 12 years and a few relationships. An old gal pal introduced me to china garden back when I never ate Chinese food. Patrick is a great guy and usually knows anybody who has dined there more than once. He and his family are hard working to make sure you have an great experience.even though I dont experiment with a wide range of food everything is always good and nicely portioned. If this place was in a busier shopping center, it would be packed nightly. I just hope if they move to a more profitable location in the future they give everybody a warning.

Came for the food, left with pizza. I'm new to area and read a lot of good reviews for this Chinese restaurant so I decided to give it a try. The hours said 9:30 pm I pulled up at 8:50 only to find THEY CLOSED EARLY. Give me a break 45 minutes early? All I can say is get there early.

I ordered Mongolian Beef, Cashew Chicken, Sizzling Rice Soup, and Spring Rolls, $38, and it was delivered in 20 min. Food was hot and excellent! I will definitely order from them again!

I do not know of a better Chinese restaurant in north Atlanta. The exterior is in rough shape and interior is dated but the food is fresh and delicious. The service is attentive and efficient. My wife and I went for lunch at 2:30. I had the Chicken Chow Fun and my wife had the black bean chicken; neither of these items were on the lunch menu but they did not hesitate to make them for us. My wife said the won ton soup was very good. Both of our entrées were verbally delicious. With drinks, our bill was $21 with a tip of $4. Money well spent. Great lunch. Highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Tucked away in the little strip mall, on the end that's hard to get to if you're heading west on Holcomb Bridge, this place was actually quite nice. The décor was subdued, the service prompt, the lunch specials well priced, and not at all crowded. They had the worm shaped fried noodles, as opposed to the flat crispy ones. My superior Americanized Chinese pallet prefers the flat crispies, but that didn't prevent me from eating most of the plate of worm-shaped ones in front of me. Almost everyone at the table had the hot and sour soup, which should have been called hot & sweet & sour soup. I prefer mine on the spicy end, and while there was enough pepper at the bottom, the sweet was a little too much so for my taste. I got the Shrimp and Scallops Kung Pao. While I was impressed by the mix of vegetables included, the brown sauce was barely spicy, and everything was swimming in it. The shrimp were ok, but the scallops were teeny. The peanuts were overcooked, so they had that chalkly texture. Still, I managed to eat all the meal, except the dried out egg roll, half the rice, and all the water chestnuts. Everyone else took a box with half of it home. So much for my portion control resolution.

China Garden is a great place to eat at. Although hidden in an old shopping center, this gem deserves the business of many patrons. I ordered the Beef Kew and must say that the vegetables were nicely crisp and went very well with the tender beef tips. The brown sauce was not overly salty and complimented the overall enjoyment of the dish. The quality of the steamed rice was what completed my meal. Fluffy and not overcooked at all. What I like about China Garden is the service and the environment. Even in a very busy night, I saw everyone (including myself) receive quality service. The owner is a very friendly person who observes the overall quality of the service and personally makes sure to take care of the customer. The rest of the staff was just as friendly and professional. Keep in mind that it was a VERY busy night when I visited. I could not find a major infraction of structural damage either. This restaurant is very clean. Great food and not campy on the Chinese decorations. Go visit China Garden today. The Beef Kew was delicious!

2.5 stars for food, 1.5 stars for service. My husband and I went to China Garden last night with a party of 8 other people. While I understand this is a pretty large party, our service was kind of bad even with that in mind. The odd thing was that the restaurant didn't even seem all that busy, although I suppose it's possible they were filling a lot of takeout orders. I had the hot and sour soup. I've mentioned in other reviews that I'm kind of a stickler about hot and sour soup. A lot of people get it pretty wrong. Theirs wouldn't have been bad (maybe a tad on the bland side), except for the fact that it had this odd sweet taste (I see Angela M mentioned the same issue). This is very offputting in a soup that's called HOT and SOUR. Nowhere in the name does it say "sweet". When our entrees came out, for some reason half of the table got their food before the other half. I don't just mean that their plates came out first. They were literally sitting there with food for at least 5 or 10 minutes while the rest of us had none. One person ordered chopsticks, so our server brought one pair of chopsticks. I feel like she could have at least asked if the rest of us wanted some too. Who doesn't eat with chopsticks in this day and age? Maybe this sounds nitpicky, but my water was empty for like half the meal and that makes me feel a little bitchy. I ordered the Chicken with Eggplant because one person at my table recommended it. It did have a nice flavor, but wouldn't you expect a dish called "Chicken with Eggplant" to have more than 5 or 6 pieces of eggplant in it? Is there an eggplant shortage or something? My dad had the same eggplant dish with no chicken, and he said it was mostly onions. Yay, 10 bucks for a plate of onions in sauce. He also said his eggplant was overcooked. I didn't feel like mine was, but I kind of like overcooked veggies so he's probably right. Also, 3 people at our table ordered brown rice. I would normally give extra stars for the fact that they HAD brown rice, but we had to ask 3 times before it came out. Given the fact that the 3 people were on the same side of the table that was sitting there with no food for 5-10 minutes, you'd think they could have at least brought that out. Maybe I was just in a mood last night, but I'm not usually super picky and I was not impressed.

I have enjoyed all of my meals at China Garden. It's a friendly, family atmosphere with great food! The menu is mainly Cantonese style, which is my favorite. All of the ingredients are fresh and the service is superb. It is not super fancy, but is a really nice casual Chinese dining restaurant.

This is a really good Chinese restaurant and yes, I am a fan! It is located in a strip mall, adjacent to a large shopping center and not really visible from Holcomb Bridge Road as you are headed west - hint: if you are headed east (away from 400) turn into the shopping center past Grimes Bridge and then head west... The staff is courteous and very friendly. After only 3 times there, I felt like a regular, thanks to (one of) the owner Patrick who has the personality and presence of the very best restauranteurs. He walks around, seems to remember any repeat customers, engages them in friendly (and brief) conversation and seems to know a little about their personal lives. I like that, and certainly never really experienced this in a Chinese restaurant! The menu is not PF Chang, it's "basic" Chinese. My experiences though indicate a willingness to accomodate, even if it is not on the menu. If you do not see it, ask. If you want a combo that is not listed, ask. The quality of the food is superb. Yes, even when you consider the "worm shaped" fried noodles. (I don't know, I don't usually eat stuff that is unhealthy for me, and flat, recently fried noodles with the oil dripping through the napkin or bag somehow just does not appeal to me). The noodles though were crispy, were tasty, and did not appear to be (as) greasy. The food was prepared fresh, the portions large, and overall, very tasty. I would recommend China Garden for all occasions. It is easily my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Atlanta area (I have lived in NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and Miami... so I do have some basis for comparison :)

The best Chinese food around. We have been going there since they opened and still average once every week or two. Macy, Patrick and others are always great.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
