They did a wonderful job with our large group. Food was great. Service was even better!

If heaven serves mexican food.... La Parilla is what they serve. That is all that needs to be said. Every time I have been here I have tried something new. I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the tableside guacamole. The price is a lot higher than the hole-in-the-wall mexican restaurant that you are used to. I'd rather eat here once and enjoy it than to eat at our local mexican place and be miserable twice. We haven't ate at our local place since trying La Parilla. We drive out if the way to get the good stuff.

THIN chips!! No live music blasting out your table conversation. Burrito was very good. Small cheese dip is a good size for 3. Salsa has a bit of spice. Chicken soft tacos were very juicy but slightly over cooked. Very tasty. Shrimp soup was very flavorful with lots of shrimp and mushrooms. Pricey but worth it due to the number of shrimp. 7/18/14 #11 beef. Very good not over cooked.

Food was great. Service was crap. We were served our food, drinks AND appetizer all at the same time. It took fifteen minutes to get someone to take our order in the first place.

I returned here because I got a gift card for Christmas. The food was not good and the service was worse. Ellie, the manager, gave us a discount and a free app or dessert on next visit but I won't be going back.

This was the most bland, unimpressive meal I have had in years. I love Mexican food, and was exited to try the new place in town. I walked away feeling like I'd just been robbed. Of my family of four no one finished half of their meal. When we were asked if we wanted a to go box there was a resounding and simultaneous NO. There was no spice, no flavor, nothing to make you think you were in an exotic restaurant. There are other Mexican restaurants in town that are amazing. Save yourself.

The worst mexican restaurant in Rome, GA. I literally broke a tooth on their chips. And who puts a hamburger on the menu of a Mexican restaurant. With the amount of choices for this style food in Rome, I would choose any other place. Stay away.

Excellent flavor. Chips nice and thin, cheese dip nice and thick. Onions and peppers in burrito. Very pleasant waiter that seems genuinely interested in how we are doing. The decor is very fun with lizards every where. .. My son loves it!

Not as good as anticipated.. It's overpriced and the menu is confusing compared to most other Mexican restaurants. Some items were very fresh but beans were very salty. Los palmas is way much better!

Our first trip and will not be our last. The food was great and the staff was amazing as well. The restaurant is very clean and seating is spread out so you're not sitting right up against some other party.

Hands. Down... One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in the southeast. From the time we were welcomed by Nelly at the front door until we had our dinner served to us, the service was impeccable and everybody was personable and professional. Our waitress was Paulette and her assistant was Cassie ( she was in training) and they were both great waitresses. We ordered the Chimi Rica and the shrimp with potatoes and asparagus . Both of these were great items off of the menu. Additionally, we enjoyed the blueberry and the passion fruit margarita. I prefer the traditional margarita because it's not too sweet but both of these were good. We also tried a mojito that Nelly made for us...WOW, that girl can make a mojito!!! You won't go wrong dining at this establishment! Hector, one of the proprietors told me that there are 20 La Parrilla Mexican restaurants in the greater Georgia area. He came to our table to personally thank us for trying out the new restaurant in town and we have no regrets at all patronizing this establishment We will be back the next time we come to Rome Georgia. Thanks Nelly, Cassie, Paulette, and Hector!

Okay. If you read my reviews, you know I don't like Mexican food but my wife loves it so I go on occasion to appease her. We skeptically went to this new place a few months ago after it opened, mainly because we had heard negative things about it. Well, now we have been here four times since last year and it gets better and better every time. Besides being in a consistent "Cinco de Mayo" atmosphere, the food is outstanding. The fish tacos are some of the best I have ever had, with spicy pickled jalapeños and delcisioso Mexican coleslaw. The standard rice comes in a cone shape upside down, and the beans are from heaven. Usually part of the reason I don't like Mexican restaurants is because of the gummy refried beans and tasteless rice. Not here! Soooo good. Marlin was an outstanding server and kept our glasses filled, and the manager Hector stopped by for a long conversation and told us he had the exact same staff he had started with a year ago. They all appear to enjoy working together and to enjoy their work. Their birthday celebrations are frequent and sincere. Okay, I do admit that some Mexican food does deserve five stars, and at the top of my list is La Parilla. A wonderful alternative to Rome dining. Gracias!

HANDS DOWN BEST SERVICE I've had in a very long time! I've heard great reviews about this place and had to check it out for myself! Went around 4pm they had a margarita special and 1/2 price apps which meant $2.25 for cheese dip! Waitress was super sweet and attentive. The food was delicious as well! My new go to Mexican in Rome!

This place is geared toward family dining, great value for money, our kids are never frowned at or even treated with disdain. The food is above average preparation standard Mexican fare . A few adventurous bartenders to make the drinks fun and interesting. I'll be coming back again and again, with or without kids.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
