There has been a wings + fried rice place on Buford Highway for over 15 years. It's sort of a sketchy place but this new Wings 101 takes that concept and gives it the glean of a new fast-food establishment. I tried the lemon-pepper wings and fried rice combo and its fine. The wings here are not bad. The menu claims they use "medium-size" wings, but one person's medium is another person's "small." They have a wide choice of (mostly fried) items on their menu including boneless wings, shrimp and ... uhm ... "fish." That's in addition to (get ready...) Gyros (really?) "Sub" sandwiches Hamburgers Turkey Burgers Chicken sandwiches Fish sandwiches Hush Puppies Fries, including sweet potato Coleslaw onion rings and Philly (steak or chicken) sandwiches That last one seems appropriate since they are in the old Philly Connection location but (whew) ... I gotta wonder how competent all those items are? You will find this location of Wings 101 in the Market Place shopping center along Peachtree Parkway where an Ihop sits out in the middle of the parking lot, along with the local big chicken purveyor and near the porn shop. Keep in mind that for the prices of a serving of "wings", you can get a whole fried chicken across the street at Publix... (just sayin')

Yuck! The boneless wings didn't taste like real chicken... The fries tasted like they've been cooked in fish grease... As if the food not being good isn't enough, they've got bad service too. They tried to give me the wrong order. When I explained I ordered boneless wings NOT bone in, they kept saying I ordered bone in. Finally the service is SLOW! The only positive was they had a Stevie Wonder album playing.

This is a great restaurant. I am a fan of chicken wings and fried rice. Once I got into the establishment, I found that the little place also serves fish (whiting/tilapia) and shrimp. The fried rice was outstanding! The girl was so nice because I asked her to give me everything but the vegetable mix in my rice and that made all of the difference. This will definitely be a spot that we will frequent when we come to play AAU basketball in Norcross. #georgiakings15

Average at best. Wings were average. Rice was decent. Atmosphere was average. Not to friendly. Not sure I will be back. Actually I won't be back.

This food here is good! I usually dont write reviews but I find myself coming here multiple times a week and when I went to look for their number I saw so so reviews. The wings aren't the best in Atlanta but they are good but the rice is what has me hooked. I ordered rice with my wings for the first time at this restaurant and was blown away by how good it actually was. It's loaded with peppers onions and vegetables and is actually better than the rice I get from Chinese restaurants. The food is priced reasonably and it's a Wing shop s I don't eat there to get 5 star customer service but the people who work there are pretty cool. They have a couple of flat screens and play music sometimes. I like this place!

Meh. The wings were Ok like other reviews state this place is not worth it in my opinion. The wings were crispy and of decent size the flavor was weird they used lemon pepper sauce instead of seasoning they were VERY salty and very crispy so much so they cut the roof of my mouth a bit. Overall ho hum wings will maybe come back if I'm too tired to travel farther than a few miles.

I have tried their chicken sandwich and their burger. Their chicken sandwich is just as dry as their chicken wings. Their burger is alright and nothing spectacular. I think that the quality of their food has gone down a little since my previous review of this place. As for continuing to order takeout from here, the chances of that happening are still debatable. But, the service and the staff here are still excellent. That has not changed at all, just the food here.

If it was just the food, I would give this place 3.5 stars. Their sauces are on the spicy side. They are a little stingy on their celery. The wings are a little small. But despite all that, it's tasty. Three of us (2 adults, 1 7 year old). The music selection revolves around drinking (bottoms up) and sex (with f#$& scattered throughout). It's very uncomfortable to eat here. Even worse when they decide to turn the crappy music up!!! Seriously... A kid is in here. Have some restraint or please don't expect me to come back! BAD FOR PEOPLE WITH CHILDREN!!!!

I was extremely disappointed with the boneless buffalo wings. First off, you know its not a good sign when the place is completely empty on a Friday night. I ordered 15 mild boneless buffalo wings with celery and blue cheese. When I got back to the hotel, I only got 2 celery sticks. REALLY?? The coating for the chicken was mushy and not crunchy at all. Blah. The chicken was overcooked and not tender. Lastly the sauce was a little too spicy for my liking. All in all I eventually threw away four of them because I couldn't eat it anymore. The blue cheese was a packaged cheese so basically the only good thing.

Food is pretty good. Needs more room for people to sit and eat in. Nice place to go to on a lunch break.

If buffalo wings and fried rice seem like natural buddies to you this might be your place. For the other 95% of us not so much. The wings here are not bad, but they're about as low on the ranking of OK as they could go. On the plus side they are crispy, they are a decent size, and the sauce is edible. I'd rank them on level with most fast food places that have wings. But chicken places, like Zaxby's, are better and cheaper. The fries were generic frozen crinkles. I believe they were fried in oil that was not hot enough, or too many fries were added at once. Same result, they had to overcook the fries to get them anywhere close to crispyness. So, while a few fries had some crunch more were overly brown and greasy.

I have read the reviews from the other yelpers. I'm glad I am not the only one that thinks their wings are way too small. Their fresh waters are way too sweet. The customer service is awful. The girl that took my order was texting and taking my order at the same time. Their fried rice has a lot of salt. I have gone 3 different times hoping that it will be different. I do not recommend this place unless you are literally dying of hunger and probably the food will still be mediocre.

Disclaimer,my rating is purely on the service, because I never actually got to order or try the food. I walk in on a Friday evening prepared to give this place a try. I was trying to place an order for 100 wings, with one customer in front of me. The person standing behind the counter had no sense of urgency. When the customer in front of me had a problem with their order, it was an ordeal to try and resolve. Just as I think I get to place my order a phone call come in, instead of asking the person to hold, since I have been standing there for 10 minutes, the person answers and proceeds to answer half a dozen questions. At this point I've been in the store for 15+ minutes and no eye contact! no acknowledgement that I am standing there. I decided to walk out and go to Prime Wings. I don't think I'm willing to give them a second chance, I doubt they'll make it 6 months in this location.
