I was in downtown Newman on business & walked n2 this place b/c it was the 1st restaurant I saw that didn't include the word "red neck". It was a good choice!! My waitress was SUPER nice & it was pretty quiet during the lunch hour. I had Pad See U(veggie) & it was pretty good. Sum of the reviews stated NOT AUTHENTIC. Well, I've never been 2 Thailand so I'm not sure what authentic tastes like but what I had was good! I thought my meal would come w/rice but it didn't. There was an extra charge. The coconut soup came w/my meal & it was pretty tasty. If yr n the mood 4 Thai, I recommend this place & would go bak if n the area!

Buffet Welcome! Living in 3 different states before coming to Georgia, I've never been privy to a buffet of Thai food. What a fun experience! Its a great opportunity to experiment with different items you may consider new or unfamiliar. Every weekend starting at noon. I hope it continues. Garlic Thai also offers possibly the area's largest selection of Asian beers, another opportunity for tastebud exploration! Grab a window seat if you can. The onstreet traffic in front of the courthouse is fun to watch.

Everything I've had here has been good, but the service has been lacking. The two times I've been here it hasn't been crowded and both times they have forgotten about us. They're super friendly here though...just make sure you have extra time to spare here just in case.

Excellent! After living in the Atlanta area for over 6 years, we have been desperately looking for an authentic Asian restaurant. This is it! The chicken lettuce wraps were very good (way better than those at PF Chang's). My hubby ordered the Sweet & Sour chicken which was good. But, my Pineapple chicken was delicious! We will definitely return to try the sushi, which looked really good too.

I came in wanting to like this place but it turned out to be an underwhelming experience. The server messed up my order and food lacked authenticity. Service was really slow- each of our entrees came out one by one, spaced at least 10 minutes apart. By the time the rest of my party received their entrees, I was nearly finished with mine. Our server was either a newbie or just a terrible server. Either way, I would not go back.

Delicious! Food seems to improve every time I'm down in Newnan. Between here, Fabianos and Meat and Greet you can't go wrong with downtown!

I had a glass of Pinot noir while I waited for my order to come. I had the Dragon roll, and the crunchy roll...it was delicious! I'm happy to say I will be back!

Garlic Thai had great food. The staff was great and the owner stopped by and talked with us for a while. The yellow curry was delicious! This is in an old building in downtown and when we arrived it smelled a bit musty, which is why we didn't give 5 stars. Check Garlic Thai and you won't be dissapointed. And you can even have your food made not spicy.

Very good..3.5 stars. The new owners of the former Mongkoltep Thai restaurant have revamped a little, and added their own twist on delicious Thai food. While the decor is not hugely improved, the menu and tastes have. There is a sophistication to the dishes now that was only hinted at with the prior owners. I really hope these guys make a go of it and can prove that Newnan is capable of sustaining a wide variety of higher end restaurants. Good luck!

Probably our favorite restaurant on the Newnan Square. The food, while maybe not the most authentic Thai, is always very tasty. Also one of the few places with outdoor seating on the Square.
