Last night was my first visit to this place, even though we've lived about 4 minutes down the road for 4 years now! =/ Firstly, as we entered there's a large open space. No one told us what to do so I walked up to the counter and was asked if I had a pick-up order. "No... we're dining in.".. "Oh! I'm sorry... she's checking people out AND seating as well. She'll be right with you!" Yes, upon entry the desserts will be screaming at you to walk up to them and guess exactly what they are; they have no labels. Our waiter was Ryan, who was SOOO helpful and patient. I promise this guy smiled the entire time he served us. He even had jokes asking my younger brother if people ever compared him to someone. (Turns out he thought my bro resembled rapper Jay-Z- Eek! LOL) My mom settled on lasagna, I ordered the "personal" Italian Sausage Pizza, and Lil' Bro went w/a regular ol' burger and fries. We got rolls throughout the meal; a complimentary soup was given as well. Everyone's food was good! Next time, however, I'll definitely be choosing something different... the pizza was "average" but still tasty. Oh yeah--- PORTION control. You'll have to practice it here! 1 serving is always enough for TWO people, it seems. **Dessert was the Boston Creme Cake... it was good. "Creme tasted a bit too "Whip Cremey" for me, but overall it was good. We'll be back! :)

Great family restaurant! Affordable, wonderful food. Attentive staff!

I finally ate at Pasta Bella after living near it for 6.5 years. It seems like an Italian themed version of Marietta Diner. The portions are very generous for the money and the food is a little better than average. This is probably the best restaurant in the area if you're having lunch or dinner here. That says both good things about this restaurant and bad things about the area.

This was our latest stop in our Marietta Gastric Torture Tour, but it was so worth it! We love Italian food and after eating at the Marietta Diner several times we wanted to try out Pasta Bella since they are owned by the same group of people. Pasta Bella lives up to the standards set by the Marietta Diner. They have the same generous portions of food and extremely friendly staff that you see at the other Marietta Family Restaurants. Their deserts are also massive although I usually have to take one home with me. I'm so full from my dinner that I would probably keel over if I ate dessert immediately after. Lemme tell 'ya something.....if you leave here and feel like anything within the next 36 hours then you didn't do something right,LOL. I also had their Sangria while I was here and it was very good as well although it wasn't quite up to the standard of some Sangria that I have had at some Spanish restaurants. My only (minor) complaint about this place is that the location is a little out of the way, at least it is if you are coming from the Kennesaw State University area. It's a pretty good hike if you're coming from that direction.

It's low-level, cheap Italian food. But there's a lot of positives about this place. If you live around this area, they always mail coupons to you. So you can take advantage of the coupons every time you come here. Also, they give you tons of food. It's a major steal. They give you so much food, you can pack it up and eat it for lunch the next day. Honestly, if you can cook a mean dish of pasta, just cook at home. It will be cheaper. But if you feel lazy to cook and clean the dishes, cut up your coupons and come here. It's a great second choice.

Love this place. The food is great, the prices are good and the portions are enough for two! Spent Christmas eve at Pasta Bella. The service wasn't great, but that was to be expected. They were super busy! Try Pasta Bella. YOu will love it! And try the Marietta Diner, too. Owned by the same people!

It is a typical "Atlanta Diner" style menu (like Marietta Diner etc) that has way too many things for most of it to not likely be frozen. I like when a restaurant uses fresh, local ingredients - so I don't eat here very often. They are fine for a meal and choices are very limited in the area frankly, but there is nothing there that anyone in my family has every gotten that is that much better than what you could probably pull out of a grocery store freezer for about half the price. If you are only looking "to not cook tonight" and you have a lower expectation on presentation, quality and taste then this place is fine. I am a foodie, so that is likely why I was just "eh" about them. You will certainly never hear "this is just sublime" but the general feeling is "this is fine" - and it is sort of shrug worthy. In fairness I feel the same way about the other diners in town (and I do think the cake case is lovely - but again, I prefer cakes made from scratch and with butter etc. - they look great but just taste "okay" like everything else).

Yum...that's the best I can say. A little history here...my dad used to love to get to know the owners of any restaurant he loved. He had been a cook and LOVED his food...about as much as I do! We used to go to a little italian restaurant down the street from home that was owned by a man named RJ. He had the best food and he'd always come out, sit down at our table and talk to us...through almost the whole meal. He'd make special dishes for me as a child and put funny crazy names on them like the stretchy cheese sandwich. Pasta Bella reminds me of this place. The owners come out, although they don't sit with us, and check on you to see how your meal is and make sure things are the way they should be. any complaint I've had (slow service at lunch, etc...) has always been met with an open ear and the interest to actually do something about it. I love the food. It's usually amazing and the desserts...well, the pics say it all. I try to get the newest addition to the cakes for the day as some of the cakes tend to just taste the same, but the servings are HUGE! Went today and had one of the specials, the French Dip..it was so packed with meat that I couldn't fit it in my mouth. They don't put any mayo or anything like that on most the sandwiches so they tend to be a little dry but they are wonderful. My favorite thing is the calamari. So good. A little big and chewy, but very, very good with fresh lemon. This place works hard to please the customer and I really appreciate the owners and how they train and obviously treat the staff. You must try.

From the moment we walked in, we feel in love with the smell of the food. its not an extremely decorated place but it looks nice. our server Rhonda was awesome. She wasnt hawking the table but came around at perfect intervals and was very sociable and friendly. we ordered the stuffed shells and chopped steak. Both were delicious! The portions were very nice sized. I thought the 4 shells was a couple short of enough but they are pretty fulfilling. i didn't have any room for desserts but the one i saw looked great. Definitely will return here.

Yum!!!! Pasta Bella's had always been on my radar, but I never visited until a friend decided to have a baby shower there. Pasta Bella's is mostly known for their pasta (duh!) and their pizzas, but they also serve more traditional diner options too. I ordered a calzone, and it was incredibly delicious. Everyone who attended the baby shower was more than happy with their meal. The servers were attentive, but also gave us our space so we could participate in the celebration without too many interruptions. Be sure to check out the selection of cakes before you leave.

This was my second time here and was again disappointed with the food. The decor, staff reminds me so much of my jersey diners but the food, not so much. Both times I was disappointed however my server saved the day, only reason I'm giving this 3 stars.

The food here is excellent! Great service, great atmosphere, and great food...lots of it! I especially love their 2 for 1 pizza to go specials. My favorite dish is the chicken alle Roma!

This place is definitely a cheesy whole in the wall but, WOW the food...the garlic rolls...the price...the cake! 4 of us ate for $80 and all had entrees and ridiculously large cakes. Portions are meant for sharing or, for those who want to be pushed out in wheelbarrows! The fettuccine Alfredo was some of the best I have ever had. Service was excellent and my car smelled like garlic rolls and leftovers on the way home.......go to this gem!

If you read my first review for Pasta Bella, I had a horrible experience with dining in. I haven't dined in since then, however, my parents have and they always bring me food from Pasta Bella. Their lasagna is actually really good and they have some great deserts. You can get huge slices of cake for a low price! So, even though I haven't eaten inside since years ago, my take out experience over the last year has been good with them. Now I can say, give them a try!

So I'm a HUGE Marietta Diner fan, so I was expecting big things from this place. The menu was impressive I must say, but honestly, after eating here, it's not worth the price at all! It's a good deal if you have kids eating, but the dinner/adult meals are way overpriced and the food is just okay, it's definitely nothing to get too hot and heavy over. It's nothing memorable.....for me anyways

Everything about this place was great. We had barely sat down when we were served Garlic Rolls and sausage in a delicious spiced marinara. I had the Shrimp Spaghetti Alfredo. It was Delicious and the portion was HUGE. The Missus had the shrimp scampi and it was even bigger. Juan, our server, was very friendly and really great. The manager John was also very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. We will be back!

Okay, if you compare this restaurants to the others in the area...it deserves 5 stars. This area has TERRIBLE restaurants, I don't think this place would rate as highly for me if it were in a better neighborhood. With that said, this place is nearby and the food and service are consistently good. The service is what really sets it apart. This is the only restaurant we'll eat at in that area. I've never had a bad meal here!

Pasta Bella is about as Italian as my last review of Willy's was Mexican. This place has no business calling themselves Italian. Pasta Bella has a diner style menu (same owners and style to Marietta Diner) with some Italian items, some Greek items, and a lot of basic diner staples. From the outside, the architecture of the restuarant resembles a building you would see in New Mexico (with stucko and Native American style painting) than an Italian Restuarant. Perhaps the Greek owners need to take a trip to Italy?? I ordered stuffed shells and my girlfriend ordered baked raviolli, which where both smothered with an odd layer of Mozerella cheese. The meat sauce has a weird sweet taste and looks pretty close to cat food. The overall quality of the food seemed very low. I do give the place two stars becuase the service was very good. They also give you complimentary garlic rolls and a tomato sausage starter that was the best part of the meal. All in all, I wouldn't rush back, 2 stars.

  • John G.

Dont be fooled by the name , while they do have very good pasta here they also have a full Greek diner menu, and its ALL good. When you 1st sit down they bring over a bowl of sausage & peppers in sauce with a big platter of garlic knots. Then a salad and if you re not full yet choose from one of the 100's of choices on the menu from burgers to chicken parm to gyros to calzones to omeletes to philly cheese steak to veal piccata, you get the point. And the desserts are insane huge giant cakes you will see when you walk in so pace yourself for this eating experiance...

HUGE portions and friendly staff. They even sized up my over the kids menu age children and suggested they get the kids portion instead. Even so we had enough for another meal the next day. We love the HUGe desserts too. While pricely, much better than grocery store, and it serves 5!!

I passed this place at least 9,465,322 times before actually stopping in. The parking lot is generally full for lunch and dinner. So, it must be good, right? Not the case. The food did nothing for me, or the other members of my party. The menu had a lot to offer and the portion sizes were huge. I like having leftovers, but the food was so untasty (yep, i'm making that a word) that I didn't even box it up. Our service was horrible. He took our order and we didn't see him again until it was time to ask for the check. I won't be back.

We have been here many times for dinner and lunch. I am always pleased by the daily specials. The off the menu is good but the specials are better. I went recently with a grandkid who is allergic to milk and whey. I told the waiter and let them come up with something for him to eat. He ate every bite. I have never had problems with the wait staff but then I am not picky about what the building looks like or how many lights it has. I care about the food a restaurant has and Past Bella makes good food with large portions.

Pasta Bella isn't your typical Italian restaurant. It is owned by the same people that own Marietta Diner. The menu is diner style (HUGE), and is somewhat Italian-centric. If anything, the menu items are more 1970's traditional Italian. There are plenty of red-sauce items and sandwiches. If you get a chance, they do have a deep-fried sandwich (the Monte Christo). It was pretty tasty and if you fancy the idea of an early heart attack give it a whirl. It didn't stop me from eating all of it!

It is a family restaurant. They offer huge portion and tasty food at a reasonable price. The staff are always friendly. I like their duck and lamb shank. I also enjoy their sausage soup and salad.

    (4)
  • Chanel S.

The food was okay. The decor was ugly and old but the portions are large for the price. Not sure I will return. Better off going to Marietta Diner for the Fried Scallops. Best in town for what i've tried so far! (Except for the sand!)

Mmmm, describes this place perfectly. I mean what else can I say that hasn't been said. I do have to disagree with Winst D. below though. The meals are not less than $15, it's more like $10-$12 or less. LOL I mean the plates are huge. You get so much for your money and not to mention the deliciousness of it all. We occasionally go here for lunch and i've also brought my fiance and a friend here before for dinner. You never leave empty handed and full bellied. When I mean not being empty handed I mean you will ALWAYS have a to go box in one hand and the other rubbin' yo' belly. lol My favs, the porch chops (I honestly prefer no to to eat red meat but I couldnt resist one day. The table next to me ordered them, they smelled and looked so tasty, and I said what heck. lol) and a side of veggies, the chicken; this chicken that chicken but mostly the chicken parmisian (lol), all of their chicken meals are great!. They also include garlic butter rolls and a cup of soup or salad. Mmmmm. They usually offer a minestrone, a lemon chicken, or a seafood bisque for your soup choices. The seafood bisque is extremelly hearty so you will definitely be leaving with most of your entree in a to go box if you order this one. The minestrone is usually what I get. I've never had a minestrone like a Pasta Bella minestrone. The waitstaff is freindly but changes alot (they switch staff between their other restaurant, the Marietta Diner) and the ambiance can be good for couples or groups. I honestly have yet to try the desserts because i'm too full when lunch or dinner is done. This restaurant is a greek restaurant that serves italian food. Very odd. All in all though you get a delicious meal (O my goodness its good) in a very large quantity that costs you very little. Take your boyfriend/ girlfriend there, your family, your grandparents, kids....just get a whole group together and take them there. Trust me they can accomodate.

This was awesome!!! I went here with my girlfriend and her mom for the first time. I had the stuffed pork chops...they warned me that I wouldn't be able to finish it. Being a guy with a healthy appetite i scoffed at such a warning! I was wrong...haha. The portions were HUUUGE! I probably had enough for three meals. And it was good too, all for less than $15. My girl and her mom split an entree between the two of them and they had enough to go home too. The desserts are delicious as well. awesome cakes. This is definitely a favorite.

La Pasta Bella has become a family favorite. After being introduced to it last year, my folks, our friends, and my roommate and I now just look for excuses to go. The portions are gigantic, so expect to take a box home. The food is FANTASTIC so be prepared to dig in. It's affordable and tasty. We've had big and small groups there, and always had excellent service. My one complaint is that there is so much food in the entree that I haven't had room for dessert, and the dessert bar that greets you as you walk in is impressive. The restaurant isn't far from Cobb General Hospital, so if you're ever in the area, stop in for a great meal.

I have passed this place a million times and the excess lighting show outside has always caused me to not want to try it. Finally I decided I would try it only because my sweetie loves lasagna, and I did not want to drive to Cumberland to Olive Garden for take out, this place is closer. I go in and to my surprise its just like Marietta Diner, same appeal same concept, yes I know they are owned by the same family but geez!!!! So I ordered the grilled veggies, Greek salad and lasagna for sweetie. The veggies were incredible-- Loved it!!! Especially the rosemary potatoes. Now the picky eater I picked up dinner for said the lasagna was not the greatest ever but scored fair. The service for take out was prompt and courteous. BTW: One entree is indeed enough for two people.

My husband and I come here for Chicken Picatta. (Excellent) Plus, we regularly get coupons in the mail for this place like buy 1 lunch entree, get 1 free with purchase of two beverages...We always have food to carry home. I've never tried the deserts but after reading all the rave reviews about the Marietta Diner's deserts (and they own this too), I may get one to go next time....

We just tired this place for the first time last night. Being a fan of the Marietta Diner, I was anxious to try it out. The food was excellent. I had the portabella mushroom ravioli and my boyfriend have gyro pizza. The ravioli was a good size portion and probably the best I ever tasted. The service was great. I would definitely go back again.

Ate there last weekend and the food is wonderful. Our table tried lots of things: lassagna, manicotti, chicken parmigano, eggplant, etc and everyone raved about how good their food was. We sampled several dessserts: baklava, cheesecake and cannoli. All wonderful. Don't miss the dessert case when you come in. If you don't have room for dessert, get a "to go" box. We took cannoli home for the next day. Yummy!! Our server was near perfect. Attentive and speedy but still left us alone to enjoy our dinner and conversation.

There are rarely times I will take to tell anyone how I feel about a meal, or where I have eaten it. But the Pasta Bella warrants this exception; from the moment you are warmly greeted at the door, to the placement of hot bread rolls with a rich tomato sauce of homemade sausage, peppers and onions, you know you've made the right choice. The picture of "The Godfather" on the wall (that I have now looked upon 3 times), and the waiter - Marvin who told me I was at home while I sat enjoying my coffee freshly made for me by him after my meal - wow, a rare place you do not want to miss...... The portions and quality are consistently good and generous. Your money stretches far; the doggie bag you undoubtedly will take home warrants the return trip again and again.

Pasta Bella to-go for one! The food is awesome and fresh, even the take-out. I wanted to taste a little of everything since it was my first time dining but I didn't want to stay. So I got the pepperoni and mushroom calzone, spaghetti and meatballs, caesar salad, and the canopy cake to-go. All were sooooooo yummy and the price was reasonable. I definitely feel like a winner as I eat my cake in bed. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.

The bountiful gracious splendor began on our phonecall for takeout... The hostess treated my partner like a long lost friend, exchanging affable pleasantries and giving excellent information about the ingredients so that we avoided any allergies. She also was lavish in allowing side-dish substitutions. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with cheerful banter, and the dessert counter provided all the eye candy that one could ask for as we awaited our takeout containers. I think some of those cakes were literally a foot high! My eggplant parmesan was tender and succulent with a piquant sauce. And we ended our meal with a slice of coconut cake (that was as big as 3 normal slices stacked one atop the other!) which left us floating on a happy cloud of sweet coconut cream, with the most angelic of cakes elevating it aloft. Big shreds of coconut topped it off, and we still have a serving or two left over for whomever finds themselves in want of a midnight snack tonight (not, of course, that we have any room left in our bellies whatsoever after so generous a meal). Signing off from that happy food coma place...

I'm a fan!!!! Pasta Bella does pasta right!!! My friend and I decided to dine here on a late lunch and I'm really happy we did. Everything was great ( well, I didn't care for the chicken soup, but they allowed me to swap it out for a Greek salad). Upon arrival we were seated right away, there was no wait. Steven came over and took our drink orders, we both order lemonade. The menu was a bit overwhelming, they have a huge selection, while looking over the lunch menu, I settled on the seafood pasta which contained all of my favorites, scallions, salmon and shrimp - super yummy ......the sauce was very light, It didn't over power the seafood. It came with a nice Greek salad. My friend ordered the stuffed shells and chicken parm, He allowed me the opportunity to try it and it was really good, the chicken was cooked to perfection. He order the chicken soup with his meal and they brought out complimentary garlic bread. The service was good, Steven was great!!!! He was so attentive and very nice. Pasta Bella's is not to far from me so I'm more than sure I will be back sometime soon. I'm very interested in trying a pizza and maybe I will grab a dessert the next time...... They looked grrrrreeeeeaaaatttt!

After several visits here, my husband & I still love this place! Friendly service, wholesome good home cooking style food, & Fab desserts! They always bring Dish of sausage & peppers in a tomato sauce w homemade as son as you are seated. It makes you feel like you're at Grandma's house! Sometimes it takes a bit to get your dinner but it is WELL worth the wait for delicious hot food. I truly believe mgmt. Cares about your satisfaction, A rarity these days! Many fabulous desserts to choose from. Coconut cake is five star!!! Moist & just right. Dress code is anything goes pretty much... it would be nice if people would take of their filthy flip flops before coming here, it's a great restaurant & deserves more respect than that. This place is a GEM!

Updating this to A-OK. I'm in there at least a once a week for take-out. Alex is still sweet, but still slow when it comes to take out orders. But the fact that she's sweet and friendly helps. And the slowness can be attributed to checking and re-checking stuff - so I guess it's a quality control thing. Some things I've learned in the past few weeks: 1) Quantity / portions are much smaller now (though I may be getting dinged because they've read my reviews - lol - who knows.) 2) The DELICIOUS desserts (here and at other restaurants in family: Cherokee Cattle Co., Marietta Diner and Marietta Fish Market) are actually made by Alpine Bakery and Trattoria in Alpharetta, Ga. The red velvet cheesecake is insane - roughly 7" tall, with 2 layers of red velvet cake sandwiching a thick, rich, creamy layer of red velvet cheesecake. The buttercream frosting was overkill for me - so I scraped it off. 3) They now have a regular soup schedule: Just in time for winter - YAY!!! SUNDAY a) Italian Wedding b) Chicken Napoli (Broth based - spinach, noodles, lemon & chicken) MONDAY a) Greek Lemon Chicken (like the Chicken Napoli but with WAYYY more lemon flavor) b) Sausage & Italian White Bean TUESDAY a) Chicken Jambalaya b) Cream of Tomato WEDNESDAY a) Chicken Capelini b) Cream of Broccoli THURSDAY a) Italian Chili b) Manhattan Clam Chowder FRIDAY a) Seafood Bisque b) Beef Minestrone SATURDAY a) Seafood Consommé b) Chicken Penne Carbanaro 4) The server didn't know - so I had to measure it once I got home. The pizzas are available in two sizes: personal (8.5 - 9") - cut into six small slices and large (16") - cut into ten large slices 5) The website is insanely out of date - but if you have questions about pizza toppings, there is no link listed. Instead you have to click on "Sandwiches & Wraps" link. This will take you to a page that lists pizza, calzone, sandwich and gyro / wrap info.

Been to all 4 restaurants in this group many times. Food is always great, hot and tasty. Service is good but I can't get to grips with the arrival procedures. At all 4 this has happened to me. You walk in and can see 7 clean empty tables. The hostess/greeter asks how many and then your name. They ask you to take a seat and then disappear. Some other girl takes info from people who walk in behind you and take them to a table. 10 minutes later there are 2 girls leaning on the podium checking Facebook or whatever. When you remind them that you are still waiting you get taken to one of the empty tables. Annoying as hell because it happens so often.

This place has really fallen in quality. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce in the past and got a zesty meaty tomatoey sauce. This time i recieved a watery plate of bland pasta with zero tomato sauce and a small amount of meat mixed in it. I have had better spaghetti out of a can. Its almost like Mama June was back there in the kitchen making "sketty". Restrant also is becoming dingy and worn looking.

Just left this place....will not be coming back! Sat in here for 30 minutes and all we got was a menu. Didn't even get water! Just a menu! And actually watched two other tables get their orders taken and drinks delivered. Trust me when I say we will not be back. After 4 years of coming here and the service is rapidly declining each time. This was the last time for us. We will just take our money over to Waffle House across the street. By the way...I already have my food while finishing up my review......

This is our first time visiting GA and this place was just incredible! Food was superb, they make their own pasta sauces and their taste is just high-level cuisine! Service was excellent!! Fully recommend this place as well as their other partner restaurants: Marietta Diner, Marietta Fish Market, and Cherokee Cattle Co.

I ordered a calzone to go and it had a giant block of unmelted cheese in the center, rendering it disgusting and virtually inedible. Various people in my family, myself included, have seen bugs (including roaches) along the walls and floor during a few visits to the restaurant. In general, the food is usually decent, but these two things have ruined my interest in further visits.

This is one of my family and I's favorite restaurants in the area. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The food, especially the veggies, couldn't be any fresher. restaurant is a part of a chain. We've tried the Marietta Fish Market and The Marietta Diner but this one is my favorite out of the chain. We always get the calamari it is always spectacular.

Great Italian food, with a family home feeling. Had the tour of Italy and did not even make it halfway through. A lot of food for you money. Save room for dessert, homemade cakes that are fantastic.

I have given this restaurant too many chances to impress me. This is not good at all. The Veal Parmesan is tough. The chicken piccata is too oily. The beef stroganoff was extremely fatty. And ALL lacked flavor. The waitstaff is friendly and the service is fast. But if you want good food, Google a recipe and do it yourself.

Awesome in every way!! Of course being from the same Marietta Diner owner family why would you expect less. Food and service was very good. The environment is clean and comfortable and the portions are very generous. Of course we had dessert :-) because that is a requirement. Good job!!

Food here is always good, but I think if they pared down their menu they could concentrate on fewer entrees and the food would improve dramatically ! Please bring back the Disco Fries!

The mister and I regularly get take out. We split an order of chicken Alfredo and get an extra salad, then add a small sausage and peppers (you have to pay for that if you don't dine in. It's worth the charge). We pick up that and rolls and its a lovely dinner. That said, management needs to help that poor take out girl out. It's always 30 minutes of waiting to get your pickup order- after you waited 30 minutes after you called it in to drive up there. Poor lady works her tail off, and there are always so many to go orders! Something has got to give! Great Alfredo, their marinara I find too sweet. Salads are wonderful. Recommend for when you don't feel like cooking.

Good food but better service!! Juan was an excellent server, what every server should be like. Started with some delicious garlic rolls and amazing sausage and pepper sauce that go great together. Honestly don't know what I ordered, I just got what Juan recommended. It was a pasta in white sauce with sausage, chicken and shrimp. My gf got a ribeye steak with veggies and mashed potatoes. Their cake was too good!! Wish I could have ate more. This place is awesome

Food is always good and the service has never been bad. The Carbanora is wonderful and I love the personal pizza. All the servings are enough for 2 people to share. The desserts are AMAZING!!! A slice of cake or pie is big enough to share or eat on for 2 days. I always eat here when I am in town.

Theres nothing special about Pasta Bella, but I will say they are consistent and that makes a huge difference. Every now and again you get a rude waitress or a careless employee but overall the food is the same everytime. I always get the Gyro plater with a salad. My bf gets the vegetable platter from appetizer and adds a grilled chicken breast to make it his entree. He gets the burbon sauce on the side because for some reason their grilled chicken is always dry but the sauce helps.

I think the food will be good....the service is questionable....don't come here to eat if you are starving, or in a bad mood! Please read my tip! Btw....we waited an hour for our to-go order!

We liked the service, the white beans and sausage soup was awesome! BUT, the veal Parmesan was dry and tough and the garlic bread seemed microwaved!

Ate here recently and was unimpressed. I ordered the lasagna and my husband ordered the fettucini alfredo. We were starving, so we ate it. The price was decent, but the food was just blah. It didn't seem to be seasoned too well. We probably won't go back.

Amazing food! AMAZING SERvice! Started us off with some delicious sausage and peppers with garlic rolls. Then we had the soup of the day which was chicken florentine....AMAZING! My meal came and I was too full. :) I ordered the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. ..it was also good. My husband ordered the tour of Italy and took the majority of it to go. My daughter said, "this is some gooood spaghetti! "

IN LOVE! I came here with my girly this past Monday. The place is not located in a fancy area, but I came for food, not a tourist attraction. I heard the gyros here were amazing. When you sit down, they bring you free rolls and also a free sausage stew mixture (free after 4pm). Oh man, just those two alone were super delicious. Garlic on the bread was just right. The GYRO platter is what takes the CAKE of the entire place. Although its a tad bit pricey at $11, you get a MASSIVE plate. Greek salad, generous amount of fries, and a big cornucopia sized Gyro wrap. I ate like a viking and failed to finish 3/4ths of the entire plate. I took the rest home, reheated next day, and it was fantastic. The service was quick, our server was kind and always ontop of refills. Occassionally hanging out nearby in case I had a request (I had a few that day because I'm a picky eater). No complaints at all! I tipped our good man really well for being extremely proactive. I could eat here two days in a row, my tastebuds salivate thinking of going back. It's WELL worth the money and time. I'll be moving to Canton, GA soon and I will make a special trip just to get my Gyro addiction taken care of.

Service is VERY lacking...seafood bisque and calamari appetizer were delicious, but the main course (Veal Francaise) arrived with cheese after I had expressed my dislike of ANY cheese whatsoever. When I brought it to the server Tommy's attention he proceeded to argue that there was no cheese. I had to pick it off the dish and show him at which point he had nothing to say. I have never been treated in such a fashion. Needless to say I will NOT be returning to Pasta Bella ever again. Really disappointing...

I have loved pasta Bella for years. Nice little spot, but honestly I go for the bread and it wasn't as great as I remembered it to be. I was slightly disappointed. The service however was remarkable. You know how you can just order the wrong thing from a place?? Well, I think that's what happened in this case

First time eating here. Started off with garlic rolls with sausage and peppers in a marinara sauce. So good!! Food was good as well as the service. Portions are huge! Dessert was amazing! We'll definitely be back.

Well originally I was going to give this place a four out of five but after much consideration and talking with the manager I definitely have to give this place a five out of five. Now this is a nonbiased review, I didn't read any other previous reviews even though I did see it received a four out of five rating. I got my food and I can honestly say I've never received food order so fast in my entire life and when I say it was delicious it was amazing!!!! I had the Tuscani Sirloin steak and it was TO DIE FOR! Well worth the $17, with the potatoes and vegetables that it came with. If I wasn't so hungry at the time this could have easily been a two day meal. The two negatives were as follows. They didn't have Italian dressing :( and when I tried to order a speciality drink the guy said only a certain manager could make it and then came back and was like "the manager isn't able to make it." Well the manager came out and I politely asked him why he couldn't make it. Well I think I got our server in trouble (he didn't ask lol) but I ain't mad, he made it, I'm happy, satisfied, full and will be back!

I have been to this place several times. I usually get the spaghetti with meat sauce. So as not to break from tradition I ordered the (you guessed it) the spagetti with meat sauce (don't tell my wife). To ward off any feelings of guilt (?) I also ordered a house salad w greek dressing. Natually, one can only truly enjoy the fullness of this meal with a glass of wine, however, being that I was but an hour from starting work I was forced to relegate my palate to sweet tea on the rocks with a twist of lemon. Be thou forewarned, about the garlic butter rolls. These jewels of the palate are very good so be cautious, they will fill you up quick. Consume them in moderation. In almost no time at all the main course has arrived. When I went to move the plate of spagetti I could not help but notice how heavy it was. It is apparent that I will have plenty for later. Typically, when I have ordered spagetti (other places) the noodle to sauce ratio is what, 70/30?. Here they are not skimpy on the sauce at all. The entire plate is full! Therefore, it was apparent that I will have a good meal later on my shift. The spaghetti here is good.. You get a lot of food for the price. The wait staff is very attentive meaning I did not spend my time flagging them down for refills etc. My server was very preemptive, providing refills and checking up on me frequently but not overbearing. Then came time for dessert. With some inquiry it was determined that the Tiramasu was the clear choice. I expected a piece or slice of cake. I received a HUNK of cake. I was given no recourse but to consume ALL of it. Accompanied with a good cup of java this went down well. In conclusion, this was a successful adventure. It will need further study (prob pizza) and another visit in the near future to fully appreciate this restaurant. 63/100

Great food, awesome service. If you have the pleasure of dining here when they have the seafood bisque or chowder. It's a must try. And the garlic rolls are addictive. And let's not mention the desserts.

I was extremely excited to try this place out since it had such good reviews. To play it safe, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meat was dry, and everything was bland. My niece had rigatoni with butter sauce. It literally was boiled rigatoni with melted butter on top. Will not be coming back here.

Bland, bland, bland. That 's what we talked about on the way home. We live 1 hour away and I have been jonesing to try this other restaurant which is part of the Marietta Diner chain. I wanted to love it because I love to travel a ways to eat sometimes. It was 9pm on a Wednesday night when we got there. They were winding down but still very much opened. Details.....not exactly fresh rolls in garlic oil served with a very bland sausage and pepper sauce. Filling to say the least. Best part was the olive oil sitting on the table. Mix with parmesan cheese and hope your rolls are fresher than mine were. Salad with thousand island dressing. Best in the city. Greek salad smaller than I remember. Hubby likes it. Now I am full,of course. Here comes my whole wheat spaghetti with meatballs. Bland. Some how they got the pasta very hot and the meatballs only slightly warm. Not easy to do. Hubby had veal franchaise. NOT in Georgia. Especially if you have ever ordered this dish up north in Rhode Island. And I was born and raised in downtown Atlanta. He covered it in lemon juice and it began to have a little flavor. We took home the leftovers to spice up and eat for lunch. 2 meals for the price of one make eating out a little less painful for senior citizens. 1 star for excellent service, 1 star for free cheese cake because they served hubby wrong pasta, 1 star because I love the MD chain anyhow. This place is perfect for Austell. Btw Strawberry cheese cake was marvelous but, they don't make their desserts.

Food 5 star, service 1 star, so I went with 2 stars here. They waited 15 minute to tell us they were out of roasted chicken. When we declined to order another entree to replace it, the other food was coming out already, they had the nerve to charge us almost 3 dollars for sharing. Really!!!!!! It was good food, but not worth the headache. I mentioned the situation to the hostess when I paid the check and I was blown off and told to come back soon. I chose to take the fee off the servers tip, since he was obviously trying to drive up the check total. Probably won't be back!!!!!!

Ok. Not bad. Service was ok, not very attentive, but bare. Food was basic Italian/Greek. I had the Chicken Parm, and it was ok, although the chicken tasted like it was frozen, as it had a rubbery texture. I wanted this place to be better, but it just wasn't. I'd skip it next time.

I have drove past Pasta Bella for years and never even thought about trying it until I visited the Marietta Fish Market and discovered they were all in the same restaurant family. On Friday I picked up a catering order of Lasagna and Salad to take out to a friends house who lost their mother to cancer so they would not have to cook. My friend said the food was really good so my husband and I decided to have dinner there on Saturday to check it out for ourselves. We ordered the Seafood Lasagna and Chicken Pasta Bella. The portions are huge! OMG we could have feed 4 more people with all the food we had. The food was good and our server Beth was awesome! We will be back to try the other items on the menu. They have pizza and seafood and all other sorts of items on the menu and good looking deserts.

Not Your Best Restaurant, Gus.... Having been to the Marietta Diner, the Fish Market, even Cherokee Cattle -- I had reasonably high expectations for Pasta Bella. (Same owner!) In essence, this is the kind of Italian restaurant geared to people with no affinity for Italian cuisine. Portions are big, the prices are reasonable, the food .... simply ok. (But why go for 'ok' when you can get 'great' in any number of places?) I'll stick to the diner.

My in-laws came to visit and we decided to go here because of the great reviews I've read around in this area and location. It was packed full but somehow 6 of us were able to seat within 10 minutes luckily! I wasn't particularly crazy about any of the dishes that were ordered. It was as my father in-law said, "this restaurant seems good if you knew what to order" given their large menu. No one was particularly happy with their dishes (we all chose wide variety apart from each other: pork, veal, Stromboli, ravioli, tortellini and chicken sandwich I believe) though our expectations were high with all the "as seen on food network" prints in the menu. One big kudos is their garlic rolls and sausage/peppers pre-meal. Food portions were quite big for the price, mainly why I give the 4 stars. Not to mention LOTS of cheese on those cheesy dishes (I'm a cheese lover). The best thing there was their strawberry cheesecake. Huge slice and everyone liked it. Reminded me of this $20 cheese cake I once had but it was practically bite size! (It was heavenly to say the least). Don't go for the baklava cheese cake, it had an IMMENSE portion of freezer burn on it. Left a bad flavor in my mouth for the overall restaurant feel. Their soups were very disappointing to us and especially me. But I've worked as a server in a high class place where I sampled soups all the time, I know good quality soups when I see/taste it. (Which explains why I never order them, but my wife and mother in-law did). I plan to come back just to give it another try with a couple of friend that plan to visit us soon. On the bright side my leftover potions I took back was enough for my 2 lunches the following days. 2 of the siblings in-laws didn't touch a large portion of their dishes which goes to show their distaste in the food and prepped for the desserts instead. The marinara I think was the main culprit as one of them mentioned. It had a weird taste to it that was different from any other, but I passed it off as because it was healthier versions of what many aren't used to. Your experience might vary widely. I would say it's worth an experience, but not a place to go a long ways out of your way. There are TOO many options in Atlanta!

This is another highly rated place in the area near my office (Smyrna / Vinings / Mableton). I did not realize it, until I arrived and read the menu, that this place is part of the same restaurant group that includes Marietta Diner and Marietta Fish Market. I looked over the lunch menu and decided on a stromboli that had cheese, italian sausage, and pepperoni. Garlic knots were brought out first and they were fantastic. My only complaint was that it took FOREVER for my stromboli to arrive. The waitress had to tell me, three or four times, that my food would be coming out soon. I think it took at least 40 minutes before I got my stromboli. The good news is that they kept bringing me garlic knots in the meantime. The bad news is that I probably filled up on those garlic knots and I basically had to take my stromboli to go (after having maybe a couple of bites). The stromboli was very good and perhaps more than enough for two people; however, it was not a cheap lunch; I think my bill came to about 14 bucks. The food here is certainly good but perhaps not great. Quite frankly, Johnny's New York Style Pizza (the one near my place of work) is way closer to my office, has faster service, and offers the same quality / quantity of food at lower prices.

Went with a friend for dinner on Sunday, August 25th. They started us off with these wonderful garlicky, buttery, cheesy rolls with a tomato based sauce with sausage in it. That was awesome. I ordered the Tour of Greece platter. This came with Greek salad, gyros with pita bread, spanikopita (spinach pie),french fries (really good ones I might add),chicken and pork souvlaki and lamb kebobs. The food was scrumptous the portion was ample and I took half of my meal home and ate it the next day. I also got key lime pie and raspberry white chocolate cake to take home and that was delicious also. Fatima S was an awesomely wonderful server. We had an excellent dining experience

This place is awesome. So awesome they catered or wedding. Order anything marsala or pizza. Food and dessert is made fresh daily at the restaurant, except lasagna. The garlic rolls are amazing. And they give you a sausage and peppers dish to do it in, and that stuff will bring you back 1000 times. Love this place. Must go to in Marietta.

BEWARE: You will NEVER have enough room for desert after eating here! They have the NERVE to serve ENORMOUS portions of completely DELICIOUS food then ask you about desert! Pffftttt....leave me you wonderfully cheerful and perfect timing waitress wench! No WAY I could bite any of those decadent looking deserts on display without barfing this entire meal! Oh, and let me tell you. Their PIZZA!?! WTF....seriously, that sh*t is AWESOME! I want some right now! I tell ya...this place will either get you fat...or keep you there! It is the EPITOME of the American Feast Dream...You have been warned...

This place takes some perspective. I am Italian and extremely picky about Italian food. There is only one restaurant in the State of GA that I will eat the red sauce on my pasta, and it is not Pasta Bella. So, I do not recommend the lasagna, chicken parm, manicotti, ziti, or any kind of red sauce pasta. I tried that stuff the very first time that I came here and it was not good, IMHO. That being said...I still am a fan of this place for a few reasons: 1. Pizza! Their pizza is great. Love the gyro pizza- I add feta and olives to it for that extra kick! Love the lasagna pizza (although I am obsessed with ricotta cheese). Their calzones are pretty good too. 2. Their alfredo and cream sauces are great! My husband loves when they have the seafood pasta with the cream sauces and I must say that they are fabulous. 3. Great steaks and seafood favorites similar to their other restaurants. I am huge fan of the Marietta Diner, Marietta Fish Market, and Cherokee Cattle Company. Pasta Bella is owned by the same people, and they bring some of the favorites over to each restaurant. 4. Great service! I have never had bad service at any of the restaurants and we go to one of their restaurants at least a couple times a month. Overall, I will continue to go back, and I would recommend to others with the added disclaimer to stay away from the red sauce pasta dishes.

This place is fantastic. Great customer service and even better food. They still have a variety of dishes like at Marietta Diner, but the Italian dishes can't be beat. A lot of food for a minimal cost.

Amazing food, excellent service, friendly staff. The portions are huge, so if you aren't a big eater and don't want to take it with you, order to share. The staff are all excellent. Our waitress was entertaining and friendly and knew the menu well. When she was busy, other staff members were on task and made sure we didn't wait for our needs to be met! Love this place!

LOVE PASTA BELLA! This place is great all around! The service is superior and the food is exceptional! When you go to a restaurant normally you get a small loaf of bread but at PB you get these fresh garlic knots ALSO sausage and peppers which is fantastic! Generous portions and wonderful array of cakes. I have been pleased with everything i have tried!! I would recommend this to everyone.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
