Great Nachos! Very friendly service!!!! This was my second visit to Mi Taco and I can't remember what I ordered the first time, I just remembered the waitress forgetting about me and had to come back to take my order, but she was very nice and apologetic. I'm happy they have waitress that understand both languages unlike some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. I called and ordered my Nachos to go ( I should have stayed and eaten them at the restaurant, they became a little soggy) The nachos are really something to brag about, I order the Supreme with had grilled chicken, grilled peppers and onions, dices purple onion, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, refried beans sour cream and avocado, . Man O man..... A fest! Yes,yes, yes!!!! I couldn't finish them. I will definitely return!!!!

Disclaimer: I only eat tacos, so I can't vouch for most other things on the menu. This is a little OTP hole in the wall in the suburb country ghetto of Marietta. Only reason I'm out here is cause my momma lives here. But let me tell you something about Mi Taco. These are the BEST tacos in Atlanta, just nudging past Acapulco. Yes these are what hipsters call "street tacos", but what I call tacos. Homemade corn tortillas, grilled meat, onions, cilantro, salsa. Options include chorizo, carnitas and even dare i say, chicharron. They serve beer, which ups their game past some taco places with no alcohol. Here's the best part. As good as these tacos are, it was the guacamole that literally made me tear up a little. Homemade PERFECTION! I am STILL a little emotional about it. Service is top notch. I can't say enough good things about this place!

What a random find! I am always skeptical of finding good eats in the 'burbs, but found this Asian Mexican fusion next to Foundation Social Eatery. The plaza that both restaurants are housed in is large and beautiful.

I'm really not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review on this place. I've been stopping here for nearly a year now, and I have good reasons for coming back again and again. The food is fantastic. The tacos are the best ( and I've tried alot of places) I've found. The guacamole is too good to describe and the salsa is excellent. I've been working my way through the menu and have yet to try anything that I didn't want to tell everyone about! On top that, the service is great. The staff is so friendly and they seem to genuinely care whether you are happy with them or not. Whether it's for takeout or eating there, the food is great, and the service is great. If you are looking for the best most authentic Mexican food in the area, coupled with really great service, Mi Taco is the place to be!

This place changed my life. I've been three times in the past 2 months, and each was better than the last. I always get the Steak Burrito, but their fajitas look amazing as well. Their chips and salsa are amazing. They have a super spicy guacamole salsa that I would be willing to die for. The staff is excellent. I have never had trouble finding a table, and the food always arrives in a timely manner. Not to mention, it costs about the same as a burrito from Chipotle. This is definitely a must visit place. I know I will continue to revisit this place.

We tried this place while driving through running errands, and it was good for a quick bite. We got the chicken chimichanga and chicken fajita nachos. The chicken was standard for a Mexican restaurant, the rice was a little sub-par in my book, but the beans and salsa were great! I might be up for trying this place again and preserving something different, but it won't be at the top of my list. The service was great and prompt. Loved our waitress. Definitely authentic food; most people eating here were Spanish speaking. Three starts because it wasn't memorable...nothing overly "good" and nothing special.

Its a whole in a wall kinda a place, but it turned out to be such a great place. I've had their Burrito California with chicken and it is HUGE!!! Its nearly two meals in one!! Very filling and delicious. It does take a really long time for the food to be served.

Love Mi Taco. Tried a burrito California with fish instead of steak or chicken and it was great and HUGE. I split it and was still stuffed! The burrito came with a light, cilantro-y salsa and smoky super hot red salsa, and both were great. The chips were fresh and flavorful, and the salsa was AMAZING! Our waitress was very nice and quick with service, even brought us water with limes without even asking! I love that! I just moved here but vow to have this be my hangout. Adore it. Great job, Mi Taco!!

Good food, but bad service. A little pricey for the marginal quality. Everything was acceptable, but nothing was exceptional. I would eat there again, but it would not be one of my top choices.

This place is likely the very best and most authentic Mexican food in all of Marietta -

I've been to Mexico 6 times and every time ate with the locals ( no tourist restaurants)! This is hands down the closest to Mexico I've come. The tortas are spot on, the Caldo de Camarones... the best, pulpo de cocktail.... perfect! 5 minutes from my house. ... the best part!

I came with a friend who recommended this place. We both ordered two tacos. The food took much longer than it should have, given this was a Sunday night and the place was almost empty. When we finally got our food we never saw our waitress again. Well, actually we saw her talking to other customers. She didn't bother checking on us. I'm black and my friend, who is latino, mentioned that he had no issues with service when he came alone before. Interesting. To top things off, I found a fingernail in my food. Needless to say, we won't be back. We left and went to the taco truck on Favor Rd.

As authentic as it gets for Mexican food! Was just here last night and after having lived in Tucson for several years of my life this was the closest to and even better tasting than a lot of restaurants out there! Quite a restaurant in Marietta, GA!

A little dive taco joint on Austell Road. Service is nuts because only one person waits tables. Food is meh. Four stars because they do use fresh ingredients and serve limes along with homemade sauces (green tomale and one spicy sauce) with their food. Sauces were wonderfully flavored!!

So basically Marietta/Smyrna is the place for Mexican food! Granted the place does not look the best but the food, price, and service is why we go out. The waitress that works there is always incredibly friendly and after coming only once, the second time we came she remembered us! She remembered what my husband and I ordered last time to drink and asked if we wanted the same. She's always super friendly, likes to help me practice my Spanish (blushes that I'm not fluent yet), and knows her menu like the back of her head. The food each and every time we come is fantastic. They start with your complimentary chips/salsa and their salsa is so fresh! It's full of onion, cilantro, spice and everything nice. Their chips are chips but good. I've ordered the same dish each time and every time I order she'll let us know about the "spice o meter" and if we want to order it. Basically how spicy the salsa came out this time depending on the chili's. Super nice heads up! I can take some heat, but man....not too hot so it's nice to know ahead of time. Our third time here we brought some guests and they loved their food as well. One ordered a torta (the size of like 3 cheeseburgers) and the other a fried shrimp plate. Each liked their meal and couldn't believe how cheap their plates were for how much food they got, and couldn't wait to come back. You have a real homey atmosphere here and it's always a nice place to visit after a long day at work.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
