I was a lil hesitate on going here since the reviews wasn't the best. However, I really enjoyed my meal. I order sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, and egg roll. All the food was in its own container (which is good since I don't like my food to touch). The staff was kind. Their menu is very large and took me awhile to decided on a item. The food was flavorful and in large portions. I will return to try something different.

Lucky Dragon is still my favorite (American) Chinese restaurant, after trying place after place . . . after place after place. Their egg rolls are my favorito, by far. Egg drop soup is great, too. And I usually get the Chicken with Broccoli "with spicy brown sauce". Damn, I'm drooling just thinking about it, and I'm not even hungry. And now I'm sad, because I live on the other side of the world (otherwise known as Northeast Atlanta), so I just can't convince myself to drive over there. It'll happen soon, though. Oh yes. It will happen. Boo hiss-a-rooski. I wish I could move it to my 'hood.

My son & I were doing some shopping in Austell, Ga and decided to dine in for dinner one Friday evening. My first concern was that there was not a soul in sight. We walked in and stood at the front entrance and no one came, so I proceeded to the back of the restaurant and located 2 gentleman talking, and asked were they open. The younger gentleman apologized then seated us near the front of the restaurant. I was a little surprised to see that we were the only ones there which should have been my que to get out of there-lol, but I decided to order a $1.50 domestic beer instead ($1.50 domestic beer on Friday & Saturday). I ended up ordering the Singapore house stir fry, which was prepared without the curry and surprisingly good. My son ordered hot wings and fried rice ( no suprise, the kid is going through a hot wing phase ). The food was really good, but it seemed hard to get the attention of the waiter for refills ( reminder: we were the only ones there ). They had a few take out orders, but no major traffic. I'm giving them only 3 stars and not 4 based on service only... Because the food was excellent and the price was right, our tab was around $25.00 w/o tip. I'm sure we will be dining in again :)

I really love Lucky Dragon. It is a total gem. The food is ALWAYS on point, never had a bad dish. Super delicious, flavorful, crispy on the wonton, soft on the chicken, just Chinese perfection. Service can either be perfect or terrible depending on the day but the food is always consistent. Lunch is a busy time of day so call ahead and don't be fooled by the dusty appearance and miss this meal, it's definitely worth the stop.

I have ordered from this place a few times. Their regular Chinese food (fried rice, General Tso's chicken, beef w/broccoli, etc) is pretty good. I have no complaints. However DO NOT order the Thai food. It is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I love Thai and eat it pretty regularly. However, I tried their Panang shrimp and it was rubbery and nasty. I also ordered their Pad Thai and it is inedible. It made me hurl and is probably one of most heinous things I have attempted to eat. THEY SHOULD TAKE IT OFF THE MENU! First of all it is pink! The chicken and noodles and everything were pink! The Shrimp was rubbery and the whole thing tasted like a dirty old fishy sock. I literally had to go vomit after the first bite. I would give their Chinese 3.5 stars but their Thai gets 0 stars so I equal it out to 2 stars.

This vegetarian is happy to be able to find spring rolls and fried tofu with veggies that are flavorful and healthful in the south.

Lucky Dragon used to be the best. Not sure what has happened within the last year, I presume new management, but the food is not authentic like it used to be... Actually, I have tried a few dishes and it is horrible..

Hands down the best fast Chinese food restaurant in the Atlanta area in terms of how the food taste. My favorite dish is the Thai Fried Rice, best fried rice ever!

By now all my fans - relax I'm being sarcastic - know about my House of Lu III boycott. This is my fourth attempt to find a GOOD replacement Chinese restaurant within close proximity (aka - one that delivers) of my home. I knew it wasn't going to be easy - but jeesh! I read all the previous reviews - but I still wasn't quite prepared. The good: The portions were HUGE. I had the Hunan chicken and I can honestly say I've never been to any chinese restaurant tha served up such huge portions of sauteed chicken. They have an EXTREMELY extensive menu. They serve sushi, Japanese food and have some Thai items as well. The bad: They have an EXTREMELY extensive menu. They serve sushi, Japanese food and have some Thai items as well. And I think this might be part of the problem - they're trying to do too much and re-cooking some items and throwing them in different sauces. The result ain't pretty. The sauce on the on Hunan chicken was not thick and clingy - it was watery and strange - not bad - just not what I'm used to. It was as though there was no corn starch or any thickening agent at all. The rest of the items we ordered, the sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls were burnt - and greasy - just like the previous reviewers mentioned. . The ugly: The server / cashier was an emo-type white dude - and he was not helpful, friendly or energetic. He wasn't rude - but he was just so apathetic - it was as though he'd smoked a fattie before coming in to work. And that fountain - or should I say that bladder torturer. It's not really a fountain - more of a water feature - consisting of LARGE bamboo shoots. So you don't hear water gushing - you hear water trickling - very loudly. Listening to it nearly made me wet my pants. They may be more deserving of a 2 star review - but I just can't discount the the huge portions of chicken. I bumped 'em up another star for that alone. They deliver - so I won't bother to lie and say I won't be back - but they are definitely not my new 'go to' place.

Rude! I'm knocking this place down all the way to a one star based on my recent experience with Lucky Dragon's wait staff. Yes, it is that serious. My waiter had the nerve, gall, audacity, balls, chutzpah to ask me "Would you like anything else," complete with an attitude after which I guess in his mind was one too many requests for his service. I'm not sure if he knows or not that a waitstaff is just that, someone "whom waits," but clearly he did not get that memo. Then at the end of the meal he asked me if I wanted to take my used chopsticks with me. I said no I would like a new set and he said they ran out. Uhm at a Chinese restaurant you run out of chopsticks?! Really?! *blank stare* Really?! Out of the kindness of my heart I left his nasty ass a $1 and not a piece of my mind. He's lucky I'm trying to do better....

This place is very flavorful and affordable. Online ordering is easy. I enjoy the shrimp fries rice and the wings. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the fortune cookies are fresh.

Although their menu is really hit-or-miss, Lucky Dragon is easily my favorite 'Chinese' restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is very different then most typical "Big Lucky Buddha Chinese Cuisine Restaurant #1000"- instead of dark, over-the-top Asian decor, or stark, bland hole-in-a-wall, you are met with bright bold colors and smooth lines, with minimalistic decor. Music selection is usually non-offensive top-hits muzak, though sometimes it seems like the staff play off their iPods. Why yes, I do enjoy some 90s alt with my dinner, thank you! Staff is helpful, and don't get in your way or bother too often, though if you ask for more rice, don't expect a cup- you will get the biggest bowl imaginable (I'm glad I like rice...). They can sometimes be a bit slow, but I also don't think I've ever seen more then one server on the floor whenever I go in. Delivery is also excellent, and I love their online ordering system- a thing of beauty, making it easy to customize your order, though the $15 minimum and $2 delivery fee is annoying when you are trying to order just for one person. The menu ranges from typical American-Chinese dishes, but also features a healthy amount of Thai and Japanese fare, and an assortment of bubble drinks. I certainly wouldn't say they have the best food ever, but there is some solid, tasty stuff to be had here. If you are a 'picky' eater, rejoice, because they'll prepare your food as requested, no complaints. Food is always nicely presented, as well. A few top picks of mine- Shrimp Toast, Pot Stickers (pan fried), Tom Kha Ghai, Orange Peel Chicken/Beef, Honey Glazed Chicken, Veggie Lo Mein (w/o onions or mushrooms, they'll add in different and extra veggies, nice!), Chicken Satay, and Grilled Chicken Teriyaki... Though I did list mostly chicken entrees, all of the beef dishes I've tried here are equally good- not too fatty, chewy, or questionable looking. I'm not the type to branch out when ordering, but I feel reasonably safe when ordering new-to-me things here. Word of warning though, steer clear of the Pad Thai. Unless you enjoy dry, pink noodles as part of your Pad Thai experience, don't waste your time on this one. Other then that, I've really never had a bad meal here. Food and service has been consistent (including the pad thai- seriously, it *always* sucks), so Lucky Dragon will continue to be our go-to Chinese restaurant.

My mom always picks up food from here and they are pretty awesome! I was get chicken and broccoli and i always will its just my thing some times instead of the normal light brown chicken they mess up a bit and its white with a weird looking sauce i guess it depends on what cook decides to show up for the day! The general taos isn't that great half of the time but like i said it depends on the cook. I have ordered delivery yet but when i do I'll be sure to share my experience -Sierra Hibbert , 15

Over the past year the owners have worked hard to make Lucky Dragon stand out amongst the crowd of Chinese restaurants. They've expanded their menu, improved the atmosphere inside, and the appearance outside is the latest beneficiary. And through all this the quality of the food continues to impress. We'll occasionally try other Chinese restauraunts in the area but we always come back to Lucky Dragon.

Great value! Wonderful service! Yummy food! I was skeptical about my first visit to Lucky Dragon with my boyfriend's family, but I definitely look forward to going back. Tasty, standard fare like Cashew Chicken, Sizzling Rice Soup and Sweet & Sour Pork. They aren't re-inventing the wok here, but they are serving quality dishes. I haven't visited since they began their renovations, but I certainly want to go back soon.

This is your standard Chinese takeout place in my opinon. I came here while they were undergoing construction, and didn't really feel like dining while it was gutted, so I took it to go. It was better than a Chinese buffet, but nothing to write home about. I'll stick with Green Lotus when I'm in this area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
